Chapter Seventeen
Robyn
It was happening again. After almost a year of not having crazy dreams, I was having nightmares again.
This time, I dreamt I was getting married. I was walking down the aisle with happy tears because everything was so beautiful and all my friends and family were there. When my veil was lifted, I was standing in front of Chris. We say our vows and kiss. When we turn and face the crowd, everyone stands up and applauds except for Melanie, who is shaking her head with her arms crossed and a pregnant woman in the front row, who looks too big to stand, even if she wanted to. She’s sitting next to Joyce with her head down and her shoulders are shaking as if she’s crying. I squeeze Chris’ hand tighter to grab his attention and point the woman out to him, but when I look back at her, she’s gone. We walk down the aisle and out of the church to a motorcycle that has just married on the back of it, with ribbon and flowers flowing down the back. We both hop on the motorcycle while everyone’s yelling congratulations and blowing kisses at us. Before pulling off, Chris decides to pop a wheely and I fall off the motorcycle in my big ass, white gown, so I’m standing there yelling at him while he’s still driving. Then, in front of my eyes, a truck crashes into to him, and my eyes pop open. It was a horrible nightmare and I always woke up just as the truck crashes into him.
It was like hearing from Chris resurfaced energy it took me forever to bury. Maybe it was because I unintentionally stood him up. With everything that was going on with Rayven, I had completely forgotten about Chris that entire week. By the time I remembered, it felt foolish to try and apologize a week later, so I didn’t.
Nevertheless, today was the third time I’ve had this dream in the past month and each time I was in bed with Dre, thank God he didn’t wake up this time. It took him a week to stop asking me if I was okay the last time, when he witnessed the night sweats.
Instead of having breakfast with Dre, like I usually did after crashing at his place, I decided to get up and get an early start on my day. I joined a gym in my neighborhood a few weeks ago and had been coming three days a week since.
It was a nice, comfortable environment and I'd already met a cool chick who was on a strict workout plan, preparing to be a bridesmaid in her friend’s wedding. She was usually halfway through her session when I got there, but that didn't stop us from having a little friendly competition.
"Good morning Robyn. You're here earlier than usual” she smiled brightly as sweat glistened on her forehead.
“Mornin Katy” I replied, as I shoved my glasses, hat, and phone in a locker.
“I’ve already done my six miles, thanks to that B12 injection I got yesterday" she announced, following me to the floor and sitting on the squat machine next to me. “I’m telling you, that stuff is a game changer, and I’m gonna need all the energy I can get, so I can be nice and tight for that dress.”
"I absolutely hate injections and needles” I frowned at the thought “Well...unless I’m getting a tattoo”
“I swear people who have the most tattoos are the most pussy when it comes to injections” she laughed shaking her head. “What’s up though? You seem kind of down today?”
“I’m just a little tired” I replied, forcing a smile as I put some ten-pound weights on the bars.
“Oh, our eye candy isn’t here yet. He usually wakes you up, you seem to sweat a little harder on the days he’s here” she teased, referring to one of the trainers.
“Yeah, his smile sure does give me a little picker upper” I grinned, thinking of the last time he was here. He was training some girl who already had a perfect body, probably a model, and it was funny to watch him sweat as she kept bending over directly in front of him, obviously wanting a different kind of workout.
“Speak of the sexy little devil, here he comes now” she nodded towards the entrance.
“How are you ladies today?” he asked with a smile, locking eyes with me as he walked past us.
“Oh, we’re good now that you’re here” Katy winked and I could see his cheeks turn a little pink as he chuckled softly, but kept it moving.
“You are pitiful, leave that baby alone. I’m sure he gets enough of that from these tiny little 'models' he’s always training. I would be jumping at the chance to have him as a trainer too, if he were a decade older” I laughed. We worked out together for another half hour, people watching and laughing about the ones who were obviously here just to post it on social media.
After Katy left, I jogged three miles of my own, then hit the showers. I always felt ten times better after my workout, it put me in a singing mood. Today’s jam was ‘Girl on Fire’ by Alicia Keys.
“You have a beautiful voice” someone pointed out, scaring the shit outta me while I was digging for lotion in my locker. I thought I was the only one in the locker room.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you” he grinned at how hard I jumped.
“Boy, do you know I could’ve slapped the shit outta you” I replied, clutching my chest.
“Who’s to say I wouldn’t have enjoyed it?” he asked raising his eyebrow.
“Don’t do that” I ordered, pulling the rest of my things from my locker.
“What?” he asked confused.
“Don’t flirt with me. I’m old enough to be your mama, or at least ya damn auntie” I replied, and he burst into laughter.
“You’re hella gorgeous and funny. I like that”
“Thank you” I smiled as our eyes connected.
"That was a nice workout you did today, but when you're ready for the real deal, let Quincy know” he stated, patting his chest. “I can help you on your form" He licked his lips, then proceeded to undress me with his eyes, and that was my cue to leave.
“Enjoy the rest of your day Quincy, and try not to scare the shit outta anyone else” I called over my shoulder.
After the gym, I had a doctor’s appointment to rush to. I was beyond nervous because I was here for lab results. I came a few days ago for a routine pap smear, but ended up getting a lot of other testing done too. I was wondering if it was possible for me to get pregnant again, even though I wasn't planning on it anytime soon. It’s just something that’s been heavy on my heart, so I wanted answers.
My palms were sweaty and my stomach churned as I waited for the doctor to come in. I just felt bad news coming and it made me anxious.
"Hey Mrs. Fenty, how are you doing today?
"Nervous"
"Well I have the answers to your questions right here" he stated, flipping through a stack of papers.
He went over my lab results and hysteroscopy with me and broke everything down to simpler terms.
"So overall, you're healthy. Your uterus did sustain a lot of scar tissue from the previous injury, which dramatically lowers your chances of being able to carry a baby again"
"what does that mean?"
"you will probably have no problem getting pregnant, but it's not very likely you'll ever make it past the first trimester again. If you and your husband are considering kids, it may be better to use a surrogate"
"Oh no, I just wanted to know. I'm not married and I'm not trying to get pregnant, I just wanted to know where I stood"
"Well if you ever decide to go that route, let me know. I know a good doctor"
I was supposed to have dinner with Dre and his mom tonight, but after my appointment, I wasn't in the mood to slap on a fake smile. Dre reads through that shit instantly, which means I would have to explain why I was in a sour mood. So instead, I went home and drank a bottle of Chardonnay to myself. This is the closest you get to a pity party" I told myself as I rolled a blunt.
I took it easy the rest of the weekend. I just sat at home with Ollie and Pepe, watching TV and eating junk. When Monday morning came, I'd gotten all the pity out of my system and was ready to work off that extra 5 pounds I gained overnight.
"Good morning. Are you ready to work on that form?" Quincy greeted me bright and early with that big ass smile he always had. It was eerily quiet with only one other person working out this morning, but that didn’t make him any less jolly.
"As a matter of fact, I am" I replied, catching him off guard. Still, that didn't stop him from coming through with the good advice. We had a thirty-minute session, but when it was over, I was drenched in sweat.
I walked a couple of miles to cool down then took at quick shower so I could avoid rush hour on the way to work. John was a good driver, but no one stood a chance against rush hour traffic.
"Thanks for the pointers today" I smiled when Quincy walked in the locker room. “I really feel the burn”
"My pleasure" he smiled, licking his lips. I swear he was doing that shit on purpose.
“Do you mind helping me out with my necklace?" I asked, after it slipped through my fingers for the third time.
"Of course" he replied, taking it in his hand and putting it around my neck. "You smell really good"
"Thanks"
“No problem” he whispered so softly, that he made the hairs on the back of my neck stand and sent shivers down my spine. My body shook involuntarily causing me to bump into him and I accidentally felt his manhood.
“Oh my God. I’m sorry. That tickled and I got the chills, I’m so sorry” I apologized repeatedly. I was embarrassed, but more impressed than anything. He had basketball shorts on so I felt everything. I couldn’t believe it was rock hard and a nice size at that.
“Hey girl, I woke up late today and-” Katy immediately paused, feeling the tension in the air.
“It was good working with you today, let me know when you’re ready for more” Quincy winked, leaving me to face Katy’s curious expression, and adding even more to the flame with that wink.

“Wow. This is beautiful. What do you call it?” Tae asked, as soon as we entered my bedroom. She came to the city this weekend, for my art exhibition and couldn’t get enough. She wanted to see more, so I invited her over to see some of the things I painted in my new home.
“Monster. I painted this in one night. I couldn’t sleep, so I found myself painting with no end in mind, this was the finished product” I explained.
“You are really talented. Her eyes are so intense” she continued in awe. “And look at her lips”
“Look at your lips” I replied, licking my own, then leaning in and kissing hers. It was bold, but I could tell she wanted it, because she wasted no time slipping her tongue in my mouth.
“Damn” she grinned, after I pulled back. “That was unexpected”
“In a bad way or a good way?”
“In a great way, but I might as well tell you now. I’m celibate, so that’s about as far as you’re gonna get without a ring on my finger”
“Whoa, I wish you would’ve told me that sooner. Now I feel like I crossed the line, and I don’t want to disrespect you”
“No, that was nice. I just don’t want you getting any other ideas” she laughed playfully, as her phone began to vibrate. She took it out, replied to a text, and put it back in her pocket for the hundredth time today.
“You must be a popular lady” I teased.
“Wouldn’t you like to know” she replied, leaning in and kissing me this time.
“Naw, you can’t be doing stuff like that. That’s not fair” I quickly shook my head, as the alarm chimed, signaling that someone just came in the house.
I knew it wasn’t Anthony, he wasn’t supposed to be back for another few hours, so I jumped up and ran down the hall to find out who it was.
“Chris!" Mama called out as I jogged down the stairs.
"Hey mama, what's up? You always call before you come"
"I have something to tell you” she began, getting straight to the point.
“This must be some serious stuff for you to drive all the way over here” I chuckled.
“We need to sit down” she sighed walking to the living room and sitting on the sofa.
“You okay?” I asked and she nodded. “What’s going on mama? Don’t tell me I’m gonna have to beat Richard’s ass”
“What? No Chris” she rolled her eyes. “This is going to be a lot to process, and I’m sorry I never told you this before. I had a baby when you were six. I was going through a lot at the time, and I couldn’t handle another child, so I gave him up for adoption"
"Wow...wait. Why are you telling me now?"
"He showed up at my doorstep a couple of months ago. I thought the records were sealed, but he found me. We’ve been spending some time together, but he wanted to be sure about the paternity before taking our relationship any further, so we had a DNA test done and I got the results today. He's really my baby boy” she whispered, clutching the papers to her chest.
“Wow Ma. I don't even know what to say right now?” I stared at her, lost for words. “I’m surprised you could go all this time without telling me something like this”
"It’s not something I was proud of, you know. I didn't think about the possibility of him wanting to know me after all this time, and there were so many feelings surrounding my pregnancy, that I hoped to never have to explain, so I forced myself to live with my decision"
"What do you mean"
"He came out looking just like his dad, and I couldn't live with that at the time”
“Wait, you said ‘his’ dad, so that means...”
“Yes, you two have different fathers. Anyway, I told him he has a brother and he's been wanting to meet you. I thought it would be best if we knew the DNA results first, so now that they're here, I thought we could all have dinner tonight at my house”
“Of course, if I have a brother out there, I definitely want to meet him” I nodded adamantly.
“Sorry to interrupt, but I’m going to get going Chris” Tae announced.
“I’m so sorry, Tae. This is my mom, Joyce. Mama, this is Lashontae. She’s Lala’s maid of honor”
"You are gorgeous Lashontae” Mama complimented, shaking her hand. “Chris, you should’ve told me you have company.”
“Oh, it’s okay. I see you have family stuff going on, so I think I should go”
“Nonsense honey. I didn’t mean to interrupt what you two had going on. I’m going to get going, I have to get to the supermarket. I’ll see you later Chris” Mama smiled. “It was good to meet you Lashontae, you’re welcome to join us for dinner later” she added on her way out.
“Aww, you look so much like your mom, and she’s super sweet” Tae grinned.
“Thank you. You’re not leaving yet, are you?”
“Well, I kind of overheard your mom, I figured you might want some privacy, so I was going to head back to Lala’s.” Tae replied.
“Please stay and join us tonight. Mama can really cook, I promise you won’t be disappointed”
“I'm sure she can, I just don’t want to impose on something so private”
“Stop it. I want you to be there. It’s not like I can just come swoop you up whenever I want to chill with you, so I want to make the most of the time you do get to spend out here”
“Okay, under one circumstance”
“What’s that?” I asked, hoping it was reasonable.
“I want you to paint something for me” she smiled.
“I should’ve known” I smirked. She was legit a fan of mine and that alone turned me on. The fact that she was celibate also ignited a fire in me. Everything about her was too perfect, and I couldn’t believe luck was on my side with this one. She was beautiful with a banging body, had brains, and was successful in her career. I couldn’t help but wonder if she had any secrets in her closet, only time will tell.

A/N: okay, so one of my rules was that I wouldn’t write anything where one part of the pairing is underage. Rather than a teacher, Changkyun is your teaching assistant in college, who’s only a few years older than you. Also, I tried this style of writing out, but I’m not sure if I really like it. (I felt kinda lazy while writing it, but I had written too much to change it - but tell me if you guys like it. I might write some more in this style!)
Changkyun/I.M | Fluff | College AU | 1789 words (holy moly)
your TA for your experimental behavior psych class is unlike any TA you’ve ever had before
changkyun always comes to class carrying his macbook pro, dressed like he just stepped out of some street stylist’s instagram post
today is no exception - he saunters into class, dressed in a black leather jacket, distressed jeans and black combat boots
he sets his laptop up at the front of the class, and runs his hand through his ashy brown hair while he waits for it to boot up
a person two rows behind you sighs and you think, “same”
you think that you’re not gonna get any work done today, but you manage to concentrate for most of the class
his deep, smooth voice keeps your attention and you realize that you could listen to him talk the whole day
however, your mind wanders when he starts talking about how to run an analysis on the software your class is currently learning how to use
you think about how good he looks in distressed jeans and you wonder if you could pull the same look off
by the time you focus on the analysis again, he has finished giving his demonstration and you realize that you had missed out on the entire explanation
you scribble down a quick note in your notebook to remind yourself to ask him about it after class
the tutorial is soon over and your classmates start to leave the room
you approach changkyun as he begins to pack up his laptop
“uh, hey, changkyun, could you explain this to me? i kinda didn’t get it while you were talking about it.”
he smiles at you and says, “sure.”
he explains the analysis and how to do it, and you nod and take notes.
when he finishes, he powers down his laptop
“thank you so much,” you say, packing away your own things
“maybe next time, pay a little more attention and do a little less daydreaming.” he gives you a sly grin
you feel yourself blush and you manage to stammer “uh, yeah, sorry, I will.”
before you can escape out the door and melt into a puddle somewhere out of changkyun’s sight, he calls your name.
“I know how you can make it up to me,” he says, picking his laptop up. “do you have a class now?”
you tell him you don’t have class for another two hours and he smiles at you again. “great, you can help me with the pigeons!”
changkyun takes you along several dark and empty corridors and you think to yourself “am I gonna get murdered by a TA?”
he stops outside a large metal door, and he unlocks it with one of the several keys he has on his lanyard
the room is completely dark, and you can hear the flapping of dozens of wings.
changkyun turns the lights on and you see small cages lined up along the far wall of the room. each cage has a pigeon inside of it
changkyun heads to one corner of the room and places his things on an empty table. he tells you to do the same.
“these are our experimental pigeons.” he motions to the cages. “we have to weigh them and feed them. they have to stay at a certain weight level so that we can motivate them with food for experiments.”
he laughs at the shocked look on your face. “don’t worry. we just teach them to do tricks and stuff. we don’t punish them or inject them with weird things.”
he shows you how to weigh a pigeon, and you’re amazed at how gently and effortlessly he handles them. he places the pigeon back into its cage and you grin as he gives it a loving stroke.
“they’re here for the rest of their lives. we should at least treat them well,” he tells you.
he guides you through handling and weighing a pigeon, and soon you’re confident enough to do it yourself.
the next pigeon you try to weigh puffs itself up at the sight of you, but you think nothing of it
you place your hands in the cage, and it bites your fingers, drawing a small scream from you.
changkyun is immediately at your side, taking your hands out of the cage, and he shuts the gate to the cage closed
“yeah, that’s B12. sorry, I forgot to tell you. he’s feisty. thinks he’s tough shit.”
“B12?” you say, raising your eyebrows.
he looks away from you. “we don’t give them names. it just makes it even sadder when they eventually die.”
you nod, but say nothing more.
“let’s see your hands,” he says, holding his own out.
you place your hands in his, and he turns them, examining them
“you’re bleeding!”
you see what he’s looking at. B12 had managed to bite your middle finger and broke through the skin, making it bleed a little. you wince as changkyun lightly strokes the small wound.
“have you had your tetanus shot?”
“uh, yeah. just last month.”
“good. let’s get you cleaned up.”
changkyun takes out some medical supplies from a cupboard and begins cleaning your cut with a cotton ball and some rubbing alcohol.
you’re in close proximity with him the entire time, and your heart beats so loudly that you’re worried he would be able hear it.
however, he is completely attentive to your tiny injury. he bandages your finger up with a small plaster, and he looks slightly proud of himself when he finishes. “there! feel better?”
you laugh and wiggle your finger at him. “yeah, thanks.”
for the next eight weeks, you care for the pigeons with changkyun after your bi-weekly tutorials
you look forward to hanging out with changkyun twice a week, even if it is just ten minutes of the both of you weighing and feeding pigeons
you learn all sorts of things about him during these feeding sessions. he loves animals, and he volunteered to take care of the pigeons when no other TA in the faculty wanted to.
you also learn that he produces music on the side and he earns a fair bit of money from it. you deduct that that’s how he manages to afford his sense of style.
you gather the courage to ask him if he’s in a relationship.
he shrugs. “i haven’t really met anyone i really like. i get asked out sometimes, but there hasn’t been anyone that i’ve really wanted to say yes to.”
you stay silent while you listen, nodding.
you were thinking of asking him out, but his answer makes you decide against it.
you were scared of rejection, and if he had rejected you, it would have made things awkard
you enjoyed spending these sessions with him, and you didn’t want to ruin them.
you change the topic of conversation to his music, deciding that you would rather keep the relationship between the two of you strictly platonic.
the next week, you arrive at your tutorial a few minutes early, carrying a fresh cup of coffee
you’re excited to drink it and get some reading done before class starts
you enter the room and see changkyun slouched over the desk wearing a pair of sunglasses. the blinds in the room are all down, blocking out any sunlight.
you pause at the door, and stare at him for a few moments. you sigh, head over to wear he is, and place the coffee on the table near his head
he moans, sits up, and he takes a sip from the paper cup straight away.
he manages to rasp “thank you.” you just smirk at him and tell him that he owed you one.
the rest of your classmates arrive, and changkyun manages to teach, just barely convincing the others that he is not hungover.
every time he takes a sip of the coffee, he glances at you, and you just give him small, knowing smiles in return.
it’s finally your last feeding session with changkyun and the pigeons for the semester.
you feel kind of sad, knowing that you won’t have any reason to spend time with changkyun any more. you realize that you’ll kind of miss the pigeons too.
especially B12. even though he was tough to handle at first, he had eventually warmed up to you, and he quickly became one of your favorite pigeons. you were going to miss him for sure.
while you’re going through the process of weighing and feeding, changkyun is a little more quiet than usual.
he replies to your questions with single-worded answers, and eventually you give up and stop asking questions altogether.
the both of you finish your batches of pigeons and just one cage is left - B12′s.
changkyun gives you a small smile. “go on. you can do him. i know he’s your favorite.”
you roll your eyes at him. “you’re just lazy.”
he grins, but doesn’t say anything more. he starts cleaning up the bird feed, leaving you to deal with B12.
you go into B12′s cage to handle him one last time, and you notice that there is something tied to B12′s foot. it looks like a piece of thick card, and it is attached to B12′s food via a small piece of string. it reminds you of those messages that used to be delivered by messenger pigeon.
“hey changkyun, what’s this?”
changkyun keeps sweeping up the bird feed on the floor. “i don’t know. check it out, maybe?”
you keep B12 in his cage while you untie the piece of card from his foot. he looks at you inquisitively when you take your hands out of his cage without weighing him
you look at the card in your hands. it’s a voucher for a large coffee from your coffee shop on campus.
you stare at changkyun, at a loss for words. he stops sweeping and keeps his gaze on the ground.
“yeah, so... i was wondering if you wanted to go for a coffee with me sometime? i mean, i do kind of owe you one.”
you chuckle as you place the voucher into your back pocket. “oh, thank god. i thought B12 had developed feelings for me and was asking me out on a date.”
“well, if someone as cute as you fed and touched me like that twice a week, i would’ve developed feelings too.”
you feel your cheeks flush, and changkyun snickers as you turn away, attempting to weigh B12 again for the last time.
it’s silent for a few moments, then changkyun speaks up again.
“you know, the feeling of confessing to you has BIRD-ened me for weeks-”
“Stop.”
“Good thing I got B12 as my wingman-”
“SHUT UP.”

Jen's HCG Diet Success Story
HDI has seen millions of HCG Diet success stories over the years. This is my own, and the reason I ultimately started this site. I personally lost 90 lbs on the HCG Diet in 2002, and used various supplements and medical weight loss products to help maintain my weight and improve my health. After having a baby in 2017, I lost another 40 pounds using hCG and medical weight loss by Diet Doc (Read my pro review here.) My Personal HCG Diet Success Story... In 2002, I found myself weighing over 240 lbs and wearing a size 20 (and it was tight!) Less than a year later, I had lost 90 lbs following the HCG Diet Plan and kept it off for over 10 years. In 2014, I had a baby and used Hcg and medical weight loss products to lose over 40 pounds of pregnancy weight (and surprisingly fast.) This is why, and how I did it.... My Story When I was in high school, I was already struggling with my weight. Even though I was a devoted, star-level athlete, I struggled with eating disorders and always seemed to be quite a bit curvier than my friends. I didn't realize then just how I was setting myself up for serious weight problems as I got older. Out of high school, I gained over 100 pounds in the first year. I was miserable. I went on a starvation diet and forced myself to run every day until I lost the weight... even though I hated running. A few years later, I had gained all of the weight back and more (240 pounds, plus a few cheeseburgers.) I went back and forth on crash diets; Weight Watchers, Atkins, 1200 calorie madness diets, and just about every other diet imaginable... until one day, I was talking with a friend. You know that friend we all have; she's a slender, graceful girl that looks great in a bikini without having to suck her stomach in. Ya, that's the one. We'll call her Sylvia (because that's her name.) While we were sitting in a circle with all of our friends, someone passed a can of Pringles to her. I watched her take ONE out carefully, and then casually turn the can and read the label while eating the chip. After she finished the chip, she passed the can along and never had another. I asked her if that was how she kept her figure- if she was just an extremely careful and healthy eater. She laughed. She said, "Believe it or not, I was once extremely overweight." I couldn't believe it! My size 2 friend went on to tell me how she had once been close to 200 lbs. I asked how she had turned it around. She shared how a doctor she worked with, had suggested she try this little-known "Simeons Diet" and he would prescribe it for her. I had never heard of this at the time but I asked her every detail I could think of. The next day I began calling Doctors asking if they could oversee this "Simeons Diet" using HCG. It wasn't easy back then. There was 0 information online about this mystery diet and 99% of the doctors I talked to weren't familiar enough to give it a go. After weeks and weeks of research and phone calls, I finally found one that agreed. I wasn't given the exact Simeons protocol, but close... with quite a few variations that I felt comfortable with. The doctor adjusted my HCG injection dosage based on my current weight. He had me on 200 iu daily. (Just a note here: My prescribed protocol varied from the original, yet it still worked great, just as many other modern protocol variations.) My diet, I kept to a modified version of the Simeons original food list based on my friend's suggestions as well as what I felt comfortable with. I had a several salads a day. My go-to food was a spinach salad with fat free turkey pepperoni, vegan pepper jack rice cheese, cherry tomatoes (very few and not all the time,) occasional spices, and Braggs Amino acids (sprayed on with a dressing sprayer, not poured). I was shocked- I was not hungry at all, and I found myself craving salad for the first time in my life. I would also have green beans and shrimp for dinner, also with Braggs and seasoning. I was extremely careful with my portion sizing. I would have melba toast as a snack or broken up in one of my salads like croutons. In the mornings, I stuck with eggs and hot sauce. I did not stick to 500 calories. In fact, I ate more than this, but the majority of my calories came from vegetables. If I was hungry, I ate. I would just make sure I it was usually one of the aforementioned salads. I exercised regularly, going to the gym and doing at least 40 minutes of low impact cardio daily- walking or elliptical. I focused on how good it made me feel rather than my old approach of "I have to do this." In the beginning it did not feel comfortable but I kept telling myself how much easier it would get and how great I would look and feel if I just kept at it. I was right. The weight started coming off within a few days and did not stop. I was so motivated at this point, that I started really loving what I was eating and going to the gym. During the first round, 28 days, I had lost 26 lbs. It took me 4 rounds to lose 88 lbs. For over 10 years, my weight has fluctuated slightly, here and there, but never in excess. My metabolism has remained strong and my eating habits became instinctively healthy. I still love salads. I am not overly interested in processed foods like breads and cereals. I love staying active but I opt for activities that I enjoy rather than going to the gym with the mindset of "I have to work out." When I think back, I am still amazed at how simple the entire process was and how the transition phase and maintenance phase were even more simple. I am so extremely grateful to my beautiful friend Sylvia, (still a size 2 after two children, 20+ years later!) who introduced me to the Hcg Diet. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't consider just how grateful I am for the body I now have and the lifestyle that comes with it. As I said, I was originally on the HCG Diet in 2002 and at the time there were absolutely no websites online about the diet plan. No online guidance, and blogs did not yet exist. I started a an online support group to see if others were out there. I soon found I had a growing member list of people desperately trying to learn about the diet. I decided to start a website based on all of our pieced-together knowledge and the help from my doctor. I started the "HCG Diet Info" website and the rest is exciting history: over 100 million visits later, HDI continues to be the leading authority on the HCG Diet Plan. UPDATE: MY POST BABY WEIGHT LOSS EXPERIENCE: In 2014, I had a beautiful baby boy.... and with him, came 40+ pounds of pregnancy weight! After having my baby, I decided to explore different options. Here is what I did: I initially used the HCG diet from Diet Doc, a modern Hcg Diet approach, and then used various medical products (less rigid approaches) to lose the final pounds and maintain (lipotropics, B12 shots, Semaglutide, etc.) In detail: I tried the original protocol. I tried a rogue approach, and I also tried several peptide weight loss products and really tested to see what I felt worked well for myself, and what would work for my readers. I started with HCG Dieting, post-breastfeeding. Exploring all the different options and taking well planned breaks between rounds, it took me about 7 months to lose the weight. My takeaway was that Diet Doc was a great option for when I had a large amount of weight to lose; which ultimately led to me recommending them on this site. Here are my other takeaways: The original protocol works beautifully, but it is rigid, and there is little room for error, or exploring. While this did give me the best results, I enjoyed the slower-loss, easier approach more; I ate similarly to the first time I was on the diet, where I mixed vegetables, focused on eating a lot of greens, and wasn't overly strict with my calories. If I was hungry, I ate. I also exercised still. The original protocol allows only 500 calories and no exercise. This just didn't feel good to me, so I went ahead and upped my calories, while continuing with light exercise; walking, occasionally jogging, and yoga or pilates. My foods included plenty of vegetables, lean chicken and no sugar. I did add fruit this time, which was something I had not eaten the first time around. I also included additional products and a lower dose of HCG. I took 125 iu of HCG daily, beginning with Phase 1, Loading days. I added B12 for energy, and during my breaks between rounds, I would add lipotropic fat-burning injections. I occasionally added other supplements as needed; for example, I was fine using an appetite suppressant as needed; at the start of a round when I was struggling etc. This is just what worked for me. During this time, I had also experienced severe tragedies in my family, including losing my baby sister to domestic violence. Adding stress to that grief, I struggled when I returned to school to finish my PhD. Needless to say, I was learning to adapt through grief, stress, emotional turmoil and endless up's and down's. It was something I HAD TO DO, rather than enjoyed. Well, guess what? Exercise as a healthier person, just doesn't feel like exercise-it actually feels really great to move and be active. I also stopped thinking, "I really need to go to the gym and stay on that treadmill for no less than an hour." Instead, I started thinking about what feels good. I just get on the treadmill and go- who cares about time! If it's 10 minutes or 2 hours- whatever feels good! It became soooo simple. I initially started with stretching and yoga, which turned to Pilates and Barre. Pilates turned to the occasional stroll on the treadmill or around the block. I am not joking, but within a few months, I became addicted to the gym and "moving." Not because I had to, but because it felt good. I went to Puerto Vallarta 6 months after my first Hcg Diet experience. I found myself hitting the gym at the resort every time I was a bit bored and felt just incredible. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I had lost weight on vacation. Who LOSES weight on vacation??? It honestly never occurred to me that I had to exercise- I was just doing what felt good. This just didn't feel good to me, so I went ahead and upped my calories, while continuing with light exercise; walking, occasionally jogging, and yoga or pilates. My foods included plenty of vegetables, lean chicken and no sugar. I did add fruit this time, which was something I had not eaten the first time around. I also included additional products and a lower dose of HCG. I took 125 iu of HCG daily, beginning with Phase 1, Loading days. I added B12 for energy, and during my breaks between rounds, I would add lipotropic fat-burning injections. I occasionally added other supplements as needed; for example, I was fine using an appetite suppressant as needed; at the start of a round when I was struggling etc. This is just what worked for me. During this time, I had also experienced severe tragedies in my family, including losing my baby sister to domestic violence. After the HCG Diet - MY Story Continued I get asked about my transition phase so much, I thought I'd add my own experience going from Phase 2 to a normal life. I realize the importance of how I transitioned my diet from starting with HCG diet shots and the VLCD (very low calorie diet) to everyday life. I didn't just swap back to my pre-HCG weight loss days. Instead, I continued with the original Dr. Simeons protocol but added calories through vegetables and liquidy foods (think low-sugar greek yogurt and sugar-free smoothies.) I learned the importance of keeping the body's ph balance alkaline and added related supplements to my diet, including vegetable teas (Amazing Grass Superfoods supplements are in my water at all times- In fact, I highly recommend vegetable and alkalizing supplements. Also, I always make sure I get at least 30 grams of fiber daily, either through high fiber raw foods or supplements. My daily food intake include omega eggs, strawberries, avocados, spinach... I tend to blend more than cook actually. Vegetable & fruit smoothies are a staple in my life. In fact, I try to add vegetables or fruit to every meal and eat at least one apple a day, whether I feel like it or not. I also love to exercise. In the past, I hated exercise. It was something I HAD TO DO, rather than enjoyed. Well, guess what? Exercise as a healthier person, just doesn't feel like exercise-it actually feels really great to move and be active. I also stopped thinking, "I really need to go to the gym and stay on that treadmill for no less than an hour." Instead, I started thinking about what feels good. I just get on the treadmill and go- who cares about time! If it's 10 minutes or 2 hours- whatever feels good! It became soooo simple. I initially started with stretching and yoga, which turned to Pilates and Barre. Pilates turned to the occasional stroll on the treadmill or around the block. I am not joking, but within a few months, I became addicted to the gym and "moving." Not because I had to, but because it felt good. I went to Puerto Vallarta 6 months after my first Hcg Diet experience. I found myself hitting the gym at the resort every time I was a bit bored and felt just incredible. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I had lost weight on vacation. Who LOSES weight on vacation??? It honestly never occurred to me that I had to exercise- I was just doing what felt good. I think I discovered the bottom line is just doing what feels good for your mind, your body and your emotional well-being: Essentially, doing nothing, feels bad and keeps you feeling bad. Jen's HCG Diet Success Story
HDI has seen millions of HCG Diet success stories over the years. This is my own, and the reason I ultimately started this site. I personally lost nearly 90 lbs on the HCG Diet in 2002. After having a baby in 2017, I lost 40 pounds using hCG and medical weight loss by Diet Doc (Read my pro review here.) My Personal HCG Diet Success Story... In 2002, I found myself weighing over 240 lbs and wearing a size 20 (and it was tight!) Less than a year later, I had lost nearly 90 lbs following the HCG Diet Plan and kept it off for over 10 years. In 2014, I had a baby and used Hcg and medical weight loss products to lose over 40 pounds of pregnancy weight (and surprisingly fast.) This is why, and how I did it.... My Story When I was in high school, I was already struggling with my weight. Even though I was a devoted, star-level athlete, I struggled with eating disorders and always seemed to be quite a bit curvier than my friends. I didn't realize then just how I was setting myself up for serious weight problems as I got older. Out of high school, I gained over 100 pounds in the first year. I was miserable. I went on a starvation diet and forced myself to run every day until I lost the weight... even though I hated running. A few years later, I had gained all of the weight back and more (240 pounds, plus a few cheeseburgers.) I went back and forth on crash diets; Weight Watchers, Atkins, 1200 calorie madness diets, and just about every other diet imaginable... until one day, I was talking with a friend. You know that friend we all have; she's a slender, graceful girl that looks great in a bikini without having to suck her stomach in. Ya, that's the one. We'll call her Sylvia (because that's her name.) While we were sitting in a circle with all of our friends, someone passed a can of Pringles to her. I watched her take ONE out carefully, and then casually turn the can and read the label while eating the chip. After she finished the chip, she passed the can along and never had another. I asked her if that was how she kept her figure- if she was just an extremely careful and healthy eater. She laughed. She said, "Believe it or not, I was once extremely overweight." I couldn't believe it! My size 2 friend went on to tell me how she had once been close to 200 lbs. I asked how she had turned it around. She shared how a doctor she worked with, had suggested she try this little-known "Simeons Diet" and he would prescribe it for her. I had never heard of this at the time but I asked her every detail I could think of. The next day I began calling Doctors asking if they could oversee this "Simeons Diet" using HCG. It wasn't easy back then. There was 0 information online about this mystery diet and 99% of the doctors I talked to weren't familiar enough to give it a go. After weeks and weeks of research and phone calls, I finally found one that agreed. I wasn't given the exact Simeons protocol, but close... with quite a few variations that I felt comfortable with. The doctor adjusted my HCG injection dosage based on my current weight. He had me on 200 iu daily. (Just a note here: My prescribed protocol varied from the original, yet it still worked great.) My diet, I kept to a modified version of the Simeons original food list based on my friend's suggestions as well as what I felt comfortable with. I had a several salads a day. My go-to food was a spinach salad with fat free turkey pepperoni, vegan pepper jack rice cheese, cherry tomatoes (very few and not all the time,) occasional spices, and Braggs Amino acids (sprayed on with a dressing sprayer, not poured). I was shocked- I was not hungry at all, and I found myself craving salad for the first time in my life. I would also have green beans and shrimp for dinner, also with Braggs and seasoning. I was extremely careful with my portion sizing. I would have melba toast as a snack or broken up in one of my salads like croutons. In the mornings, I stuck with eggs and hot sauce. I did not stick to 500 calories. In fact, I ate more than this, but the majority of my calories came from vegetables. If I was hungry, I ate. I would just make sure I it was usually one of the aforementioned salads. I exercised regularly, going to the gym and doing at least 40 minutes of low impact cardio daily- walking or elliptical. I focused on how good it made me feel rather than my old approach of "I have to do this." In the beginning it did not feel comfortable but I kept telling myself how much easier it would get and how great I would look and feel if I just kept at it. I was right. The weight started coming off within a few days and did not stop. I was so motivated at this point, that I started really loving what I was eating and going to the gym. During the first round, 28 days, I had lost 26 lbs. It took me 4 rounds to lose 88 lbs. For over 10 years, my weight has fluctuated slightly, here and there, but never in excess. My metabolism has remained strong and my eating habits became instinctively healthy. I still love salads. I am not overly interested in processed foods like breads and cereals. I love staying active but I opt for activities that I enjoy rather than going to the gym with the mindset of "I have to work out." When I think back, I am still amazed at how simple the entire process was and how the transition phase and maintenance phase were even more simple. I am so extremely grateful to my beautiful friend Sylvia, (still a size 2 after two children, 20 years later!) who introduced me to the Hcg Diet. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't consider just how grateful I am for the body I now have and the lifestyle that comes with it. As I said, I was originally on the HCG Diet in 2002 and at the time there were absolutely no websites online about the diet plan. No online guidance, and blogs did not yet exist. I started a an online support group to see if others were out there. I soon found I had a growing member list of people desperately trying to learn about the diet. I decided to start a website based on all of our pieced-together knowledge and the help from my doctor. I started the "HCG Diet Info" website and the rest is exciting history: over 100 million visits later, HDI continues to be the leading authority on the HCG Diet Plan. UPDATE: MY POST BABY WEIGHT LOSS EXPERIENCE: In 2014, I had a beautiful baby boy.... and with him, came 40+ pounds of pregnancy weight! After having my baby, I decided to explore different options through Diet Doc, having worked with them for years. I was already impressed with the quality of their products and how well they had treated my readers. I would read plenty of success stories in my forums and was excited to try their approach. Here is what I did: I tried the Diet Doc modern Hcg Diet approach. I tried the original protocol. I tried a rogue approach, and I also tried several peptide weight loss products and really tested to see what I felt worked well for myself, and what would work for my readers. I started with HCG Dieting, post-breastfeeding. Exploring all the different options and taking well planned breaks between rounds, it took me about 7 months to lose the weight. My takeaway was that Diet Doc was the best option; which ultimately led to me solely recommending them on this site. Here are my other takeaways: The original protocol works beautifully, but it is rigid, and there is little room for error, or exploring. While this did give me the best results, I enjoyed the slower-loss, easier approach more; I ate similarly to the first time I was on the diet, where I mixed vegetables, focused on eating a lot of greens, and wasn't overly strict with my calories.
