Frog Fight

The walls of the armory are as always, lined with weapons. The masonry of the hallways stretch in every direction and vibrate with stomps and shouts. The minotaur that watches the door has a clipboard and is taking notes and speaking with to a blonde girl in armor, but we can’t hear what they’re saying. She motions to the wall of weapons, and is rejected. The challenger begins her walk to the arena, the clink of her greaves giving way to the wild shouts.

Al sits in the room with Rachel, watching her pace back and forth, doing stretches.

“Do you feel rusty at all?” He asks her, and she gives him a look, as if inviting him to ask again. Al makes a face and she smirks and looks to the side- "I've never been rusty before, not going to start now."

He shrugs. “You haven’t fought anything in awhile, it’s not a ridiculous question.” She shoots him another look that says actually, it is and he puts up his hands. 

“Are you going to take in any weapons?” 

She doesn’t say anything, but flexes in a way that is half a joke and half a legitimate flex. Either way it wins Al over.

“What happens with a fight like this?” It’s been awhile since there’s been something like it. It’s not a Passenger trying to get through the train, or someone who’s worked their way up the ranks, it’s someone who came here specifically to Challenge the Beast.

One of the denizens texted Rachel (he still needs to ask how that works), and the two of them came back. They haven’t seen this newcomer yet, but the Minotaurs here have taken to calling her the "Heron".

Rachel pretends she’s not offended. How quickly they forget. “Well,” She starts. “There’s not really a title or anything outside of the one they gave me, and It’s not like an official position.” Al nods along with her explanation. “So usually, I just come here, I win, the people cheer, I go back to the mall.” She smiles at this, as if basking in a glow, and turners back to the door. 

“I expect to hear you cheering.” She says over her shoulder, and Al nods obediently. “I’ll be there!” She laughs, and takes her path out to the arena.

The crowd roars. In the center of the arena, there is a minotaur getting people ready with some light crowd work. Al has made his way to his favorite spot in the arena, where he watched Shadow and Shigeo fight. He hoped this one would be less traumatic but he’s not counting on it.

The first one to enter is Rachel- she pulls her same entrance from before, flying high as Bald Eagle and rushing down, transforming into a human on impact. It’s a bit of a homecoming for her, and she’s eating it up. The crowd is pulsing with noise, and gets quiet as the door on the other side of the arena begins to open. The grin drops from Rachel’s face and it becomes fight time. 

Across from her is a girl in a one sleeved armor, two swords over her back, a huge pauldron, and what one could call a tiara. She’s maybe a year or two younger than Rachel, but she has the scars to show she’s been fighting for awhile. 

Sasha Waybright pulls the swords off her back and points them across the arena at Rachel. “Beast, nice to meet you. I hope this is worth the wait.” Rachel takes a second to regard her, and begins to twist into a Grizzly Bear. The bones snap and crackle, and an insult she started when she was a human twists into a roar. She drops into a sprint and charges.

Sasha takes her swords and draws them in a circle around her as a flourish, planting a planting a charge like she's prepping for a ref to call a foul. She’s no stranger to fighting big animals. Grimes taught her alot about this, Anne- well. She grimaces for a moment. Now’s not the time. Rachel gets to her and pulls her jaw open, Sasha jumps back and swings her sword at the maw, the bear catching it in her mouth.

Al smiles, he remembers when Trish did this. He immediately stops smiling. He remembers when Trish did this.

Rachel drags the sword down to the ground, and Sasha swings the butt of the hilt on to her head to try and stun her. It doesn’t quite do that, but it’s enough that she can get her foot up on the bears head and jumps up over her. She does a quick flip and lands facing Rachel, who whips around and roars again, throwing Sasha’s pink sword to the side and stomping. Sasha holds Anne’s sword-- her sword. In her hand in front of her, watching the bear pace.

First swing didn’t work, she was ready for that. She’s going to need to try and get away from her face. She twists in the dirt and lunges again, Rachel anticipates it and gets her mouth open to bite onto Sasha’s arm.

The girl’s armor takes the brunt of it, the metal bending from the strength of the jaws, but she’s smiling still. Her gambit paid off, she takes her sword and cuts the Bear down the side. Rachel roars out in pain, and Al covers his mouth. He knows she can morph back and get the wound gone, but it doesn’t stop the pain from happening.

Rachel lets go and stumbles backwards, morphing back to Human as she does. She has a hand on her side and nods. “Ok, ok. Good hit.”

“Oh you think so?” Sasha twirls the sword in her one hand, flicking buckles on her sleeve to pop it off. The bent metal is squeezing her arm too hard, and she can tell already it’s going to be a problem. “It’s so nice to know I have your approval~”

The crowd is cheering wildly as the two take a moment to let the dust settle- each competitor living up to their legend.

The challenger gives a little kick and a smile with her tongue out. Rachel laughs. “Oh, I like you. You’re fun.” The sound of her conversation is interrupted by the cracks of bone as she takes on a new morph.

She falls to all fours again, but a smaller scale. The way a human face becomes a wolf head is never a joy to see, because the jaw opens up the cheeks way earlier than you’d hope it would. She growls at Sasha and begins to run around her.

Sasha watches, and eyes where her other sword is in the dirt by the wall, having been tossed by the Beast earlier. She puts her back to it and keeps tracing Rachel.

The wolf is taking moments to feint inwards, as if the attack is imminent. Sasha’s trying to keep it steady and have an eye on it, and begins to tap her foot. She begins to clock that Rachel is hitting a rhythm with her attacks, and counts herself down.

Unfortunately, Rachel is just as good at trickery in combat as Sasha is. She hits a feint and Sasha spins to slash at what she believes would be an honest lunge, and Rachel leaps over it, wolf jaws grabbing at the challengers throat. She kicks and fights to try and get up, getting the sword between them long ways. The spit from Rachels jaws hits Sasha in the face, but she holds the blade flat between them. Sash grimaces, and starts to work her way through whatever she needs to do to survive.

She pulls her knees to her face, and then kicks out to the wolfs chest, sending her up and over her head, Sasha keeps the blade hooked around Rachel’s arms and follows the flip to be on top of her, quickly flipping the blade to be against the wolf’s chest.

“I can see why you’re the champ.” She smiles, too cockily.  Rachel morphs back to human under her, but Sasha keeps her footing, moving the blade up to Rachel’s neck. The crowd knows what’s coming and begins to chant, Sasha immediately looks worried, and that break in concentration is all she needs.

Tusks push forward from Rachel’s face, knocking the sword backwards. As she climbs up to her feet, it becomes clear that she is going LARGE.

Her nose begins to wrap around Sasha, who is now without a sword in any hand, and the Elephant morph holds her up to the crowd that is going crazy. Al wants to shout to be careful, but knows that she knows what she’s doing. It’s not a Shadow situation where he needs to jump in.

If he did, he thinks both girls would kill him.

Sasha struggles against the trunk, and kicks her leg back far enough to grab at her heel- and she yanks a dagger from there and slams it into Rachel, causing the Elephant to writhe. Rachel is too good to let this fully over take her, so she meets their goals in the middle. She let’s go of Sasha, but does it at velocity.

The challenger is fully yote across the arena and smashes into a wall. She falls to her knees, face on the, and you can see the blood trickle from her mouth, but it twists into a bloody smile as she reaches to her left and right, and grabs her swords on either side of her. She does her flourish, spinning both the blades as she stands up.

“Let’s go, Champ! Stop going easy on me!” She yells, and begins to charge the elephant. It’s truly an insane sight to behold, a 15 year old girl with two swords running at one of the largest mammals. The crowd truly loves it.

Sasha gets a stab into Rachel’s trunk, but her tusks are able to get under her again, and Rachel charges forward with the girl tangled in her face. Sasha slashes and cuts, Rachel letting out grunts of pain, but she doesn’t stop, and smashes directly into the far wall, Competitor first, splattering everyone there in a splash zone of blood.

Al stands up now, he truly can’t tell if she killed that girl or not. For a moment, he wonders how his life came to this, constantly being surrounded by violent women. But as the dust clears, He can see the two girls, bloody and beaten on the ground, laughing.

The bell dings, Thumbs up from the refs, thumbs up from the crowd. The best fight in ages.

Rachel gets up first, having been able to heal from Morphing. She reaches down to Sasha with a hand and the other girl takes it, lifting her to her feet. “I’m coming back you know-” Sasha says as she spits out blood. “Best two outta three”. 

Rachel cackles, reaching to wipe the blood off Sasha’s cheek, “absolutely. I look forward to it.”

Slowly going towards one TS2 Legacy... Maybe

Hello! I don't usually post any of my shit online, but I am tired of all my writing and drawings just sitting on my computer, so I figured I'd just dump it on here.

I'll start with my TMA AUs, just cause I've got a lot of those, lolz.

(Also please note that none of these are finished writing, just the ideas that I had at the time.)

The Magnus Archives X Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

This is going to be a Mashup of the two worlds, and it will follow a similar storyline with Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

The basic plot follows Edward as the head archivist of the Archives in the basement of central command. I will post a more detailed layout and stuff in a separate post.

Mother May I (An AU inspired by Ella Enchanted) 

So in this AU Martin is the one cursed to obey. 

The story goes as follows,  one day when he was a preteen. Martin was taking care of his mother and happened across a Spider that was an agent of the Web. While taking it outside, he wished to himself that he could just do better and actually obey what she tells him to do. The Web grants his wish, and now Martin is Marked and bound by the web. He now has to follow any direct command that someone gives him, he can try to disobey,  but if he does, webs will appear and start to tear into him, until he does what he was commanded.

The story then skips to him as an archival assistant, we learn that Martin is still bound by the web, but he had seemingly been learning to live with it. Also a side note, we learn that Martin has the free will to tell others about being "cursed" by the web, but he chooses not to, fearing that someone might either use it against him or not believe him. 

182 Days Later (A 28 Days Later AU)

So this is an AU set after Jon wakes up from his 6 month coma. Before he woke up a ritual was attempted by the Slaughter and The Corruption at the same time, and while it technically failed, it released a blood borne virus that causes people to infect others with the slaughter, this allowed it to start quickly becoming widespread all over the UK. When he is woken up by Oliver Banks, the virus is in full swing, and he now has to try and survive and find Martin, who left him a note that gave him very little information about where to go, or what was happening.

Jon tries to Know where he is, along with Georgie. But because Martin is heavily marked by the lonely at this point, and Georgie not having any fear, he isn’t able to see either of them. He also tries to Know more about what’s going on outside, but when he Sees, it’s all chaos and rampant infection killing each other in a rage. It quickly becomes overwhelming, and Jon decides to just go out and look for himself. After he goes outside, he ends up getting attacked by a few rage-infected people, as he is running away he gets saved by Georgie. She has the admiral with her and she is trying to find Meline. 

The plot would then follow Jon and Georgie as they try to find Martin and the rest of the Archival crew.

TMA Private I/Eye  AU

The basic idea that I had for this AU is that Jon still manages to get beholding powers, but has started his own Private Investigator agency, and uses his beholding powers to solve crimes and the like.  Sasha is the head archivist at the Magnus Institute, and her two assistants are Tim and Gerry. She occasionally goes to Jon for help if she wants to actually do something more with the statements, then just organize them. 

Martin becomes Jon's assistant/secretary after he comes upon his hiring sign on his way home from grocery shopping.

His name is Stephen Cooks, he’s a seventeen year old high school student with a friend group of 6 junior and senior students of Clear Lake High School. His friends in his friend group are James, Sasha, Nathan, Nirvana, Alphonse (Fonzo), and Marcus.

Stevie has sadly been abused through childhood and within a relationship of a guy named David Demo, which you can see the scars from David’s knife run across Stevie’s face, Stevie wasn’t his only victim. ;)

Stevie’s childhood abuse never gets brought up by him, he hates the thought and has ruined every photo of him and his parents by scratching their faces to look like a mess of white lines. Leading him to believe he could possibly have anger issues, but along with other things that weren’t diagnosed, David had manipulated him into believing it was all in his head and that he just had possible schizophrenia. Until he finally was able to get diagnosed with high anxiety, and BPD, could he possibly have more? He doesn’t know sadly because of his parents not wanting to pay for something just to get into his head, like David.

James sadly of his friend group went mysteriously missing, and still is to this day, Stevie during this time would sob over photos of James, missing his closest friend within the friend group, but maybe they’ll reunite.

It’ll only show in time..

Grips my rqg/JRWI au in my hands so hard the atoms split apart and it turns into dust.

I just think it would be cool if some magical weirdness happened when the LOLOMG (sans bertie as he was on the train) were sailing across the channel and the boat capsized and they ended up in the JRWI riptide universe…. It wouldn’t be the first time the riptide pirates have picked up some random people floating face down on some driftwood and I think it would just be so fun….

Just the conflicting running jokes. England doesn’t exist in the riptide universe and English is a dialect called finglish spoken by an undersea country of sea elves. All the magic that zolf and Hamid are used to coming from a pathfinder based universe is just a little wonky, and zolf gets the rome effect where Poseidon just…. Isn’t there. Just dead air.

Sasha and chip bond over missing fingers and being rogue orphans. Hamid and gillion discuss taxes and a bit of hamid’s soul dies as he watches gillion just throw an armful of gold off the edge of the ship “to pay sea taxes. You know, because of the gold fish”. Hamid is violently sea sick and zolf is slightly on edge with his past experiences with a pirate crew and the loss of his leg during that time. Jay chats with Sasha about her retractable wrist blades and the mechanics of them, ollie (5’1) is a 12 year old half elf and still taller than hamid (3’4). Old man Earl absolutely takes the piss out of Hamid for being so short because they’re both halflings and the fact that Hamid is short for even a halfling would probably be funny to him. The LOLOMG seem a little perturbed when they watch said 5’1 12 year old pick up one of the captains that are at least a head and shoulders taller than him and haul them over the edge of the boat as a “prank”.

They see Alphonse and comment that it’s weird to see an automata like that outside of places like france and japan and get blank stares from the crew of the albatross as they say that he came from Edison kingdom and the LOLOMG are just like EDISON ? LIKE THOMAS EDISON ?? THE INVENTOR OF THE SIMULACRUM??????? And the riptide pirates are like what lol no just like. The place. That one floating city, you know? And Hamid is like ??? The only floating city I’ve seen is Prague university what.

The riptide pirates ask what island they were trying to get to on their boat and zolf tells them they were trying to get to france and once again blank stares. No idea what they’re on about. Chip asks no like what sea were you from. Like. West Sea North Sea East Sea South Sea or what. And zolf just stares at them trying not to think he just died and this is hell.

I just feel like the riptide crew is so cartoonishly varied and colourful compared to the rqg party with their half elves and humans and panda folk and tritons and warforged and halflings all dressed in bright colourful clothing and flying a customised Jolly Roger flag. Queen and Hamid would probably be best friends. Sasha would probably find chip either a chill guy to hang out with or completely fucking unbearable. Otherwise she would probably hang around Alphonse and just talk to him about the world and what it’s like. Zolf and gryffon would probably talk prosthetics at least once and they’d probably quietly enjoy each others company. Zolf would probably enjoy hanging out with drey too, seeing as though he’s a 50 year old dwarf who probably wouldn’t have much patience for anyone under Sasha’s age (23)

I feel like if I allowed bertie into this au he would just get thrown into the ocean and drown instantly because he would be like quietly mysoginistic to Jay once and ollie would fling him over the railings of the ship

Note that while these may be my favorite characters, most of them aren’t the characters I simp for in their respectful series 0.0 although there is one in there that’s the top one I simp for...if you know you know.

It would seem that my favorites tend to be the red heads and blondes...except you Legoshi you’re the exception lmao.  I love the wholesome characters and also tend to gravitate towards characters that I see myself in; Hange, Legoshi, and Alphonse are key players in that role.  But yeah if you guys are really interested in why these particular characters mean so much to me then I could always write a post that’s kinda similar to this!
