Laughing in realizing that Kaveh's problem isn't actually that he forgets his keys. It's that Alhaitham more often than not accidentally(?) takes them both.
#☆ ┆ ( .ooc. );#//It's in his idle and everything#//And the stupid smug lil stray comment in the post Archon quest jhbfgfgg#//Just#Alhaitham: You wouldn't be locked out so often if you made sure to keep track of yours keys#Kaveh: It's not me! I swear those things up and walked off!#Alhaitham; much later after rifling through his pockets: Oh shit...my bad lmao-#//Still love the idea of BOTH of them not realizing Haiyi's the problem all along tho lol#//Haitham just never admits it like 'If he rlly paid attention and realized it was me; I'll never know peace aaaaa'#//Also bc he finds it kinda funny seeing Kaveh moping at their front door every time it happens#//And Kav never questions it bc he's too busy being caught up in the relief of finally being able to get back in the house

Calling the clients wasn't horrible, that much Alhaitham was thankful for. He simply explained Kaveh had fallen under the weather due to some of the recent changes in climate, to which everyone understood and seemed more worried about him getting better. As much as he would have liked to return inside of their house, he figured some time alone wouldn't be horrible as the heat would be starting, so Alhaitham took it upon himself to go out for a walk for a bit to get some fresh air. Especially since he would need it more often depending how strong Kaveh's scent became.
He was aware that Kaveh was oblivious, and that he had never seemed to pick up on any signs of any feelings lingering from Alhaitham, but there was no sense in forcing it. Just because they were a pair of an alpha and an omega living together didn't mean they had to be together, or anything of the sort. Not that he'd ever force it or anything, anyhow. Though there was some uneasy feeling gnawing at him about leaving Kaveh home alone. In his mind, he knew there was nothing he could technically do to help the situation but something about it didn't feel right.
Maybe it was just his brain trying to let instincts win. Too bad he wouldn't allow it if he could help it.
After managing to kill a good chunk of time, a period of which he hadn't kept track if he was honest, he decided to return home. Easing in the house, he locked the door behind him out of habit as he kicked off his shoes in their regular resting spot. It didn't take long for Kaveh's scent to hit him, much much stronger than when he had left. 'So it finally kicked in, it seems.' Walking towards the hall, he could see the light on in the bathroom that signaled Kaveh was in there currently.
Alhaitham covered his nose for a moment, attempting to give himself a break from the overwhelming scent. Not that he didn't like it, but just smelling it wasn't helping him either. Luckily he noted that Kaveh had at least put a towel down to try to help block it, so that much he appreciated. Shaking his head, Alhaitham made his way to the kitchen to start on dinner. Despite Kaveh having rations in his room, if he was in the bathroom, Alhaitham could at least leave some fresh food for him by his door as to avoid using up the rations if not needed right away.
Once he finished a simple dinner, he set it in a container beside Kaveh's bedroom door and put some in a container for himself to take to his room. Covering his nose for a moment as he entered the hall and stopped outside the bathroom. "There's dinner by your door. If you end up needing anything, send me a message." Only once he was in his own room did he shut the door and uncover his nose. At least the scent hadn't gone too far into it, being lucky enough that he could block the bottom of his door in hopes to stop it more. All he knew for sure now was it was going to be a long several days as he tried to keep the alpha part of him at bay. His medicine to suppress it could only handle so much, after all.
He supposed he could help more, but nothing seemed right. Offering clothing or something of his seemed wrong in a way, because what omega would want to be stuck with an alpha's scent when they weren't dating? Sure he could handle tasks and dinners and such for him, but that didn't really help ease any possible pain. There was still that heating pad they had somewhere.. He could find it, he supposed. Maybe that would work. So, when he thought about it, he had sent a message for Kaveh later.
[Do you have a heating pad in your room that can help with any cramps or anything? If not, we have one somewhere I can find for you.]
"Don't mention it." He spoke, waving a hand dismissively. "Fruits and cookies. Got it. If you need anything else while I'm out, let me know." After all, he may not always be this helpful but this is a different circumstance. Shortly after, Alhaitham shut the door behind him as he left to the market.
It was a bit before he returned, making way to the hallway to pick up the information and to leave the bag of variety of fruits and cookies on Kaveh's door handle. He also left a bag of small miscellaneous items he might need for through the heat cycle. Though Alhaitham cursed for a moment when he noticed the scent seemed stronger, at least to him.
This didn't usually bother him, but for a split moment, his brain thought otherwise. "Your bags are outside your door." Once he spoke, he quickly left from the immediate area to go call the clients, trying to ignore how sweet Kaveh's scent had actually smelled to him in his head. He didn't need to think about it or accidentally somehow trigger a rut in a freak thing.
