The Assistant Competition ~ A Short ‘Team Fortress 2’ Song Animation 💙💜

*This is my first attempt at animation, so I apologize if it looks shabby!*

DESCRIPTION

Miss Pauling and Mr. Bidwell engage in “friendly” musical competition to find out who the better assistant is and defend The Administrator’s and Saxton Hale’s honour… except it goes comedically sideways!

This video was originally intended to be just a short animation study for a Technology course... but I decided to have a little fun and mix in an excerpt of an iconic song from 'Annie Get Your Gun' as well as the setting of my favourite fandom: Team Fortress 2!

As such, I do not own the song (Anything You Can Do' w. Bernadette Peters & Tom Wopat) , nor any of the characters (Miss Pauling, Mr. Bidwell, Demoman, Spy, and Jaundice Archimedes (don't ask, LOL)) in this video. Review: Lacking solid humor, horror, or mystery, this feels more like an unloved product than anything else.

Performances: 3/5 - Fine. No one is particularly memorable or likable. Carrillo is playing an ethnic stereotype of some kind, but his accent is so baffling that I'm not sure what kind.

Cinematography: 2.5/5 - Not particularly creative.

Editing: 3/5

Effects & Props: 3/5 - Some props, like the suit of armor, look fine, while others look very cheap.

Sets: 2.5/5 - Often obviously sets, but still fairly diverse.

I am working away at an idea, one in which I can’t wait to share. If it goes the way I think, it will be really good! 

Allow me to share: 

Starting December 1st, you wake to find a present outside your door. Nothing too extravagant, just a simple little present. Wrapped and addressed to you. The tag reads: To: Y/N From: Santa ;) 

This happens every day, ending on Christmas Eve, every morning when you go out there it is: the little present wrapped and addressed as usual. Waiting for you to pick it up and see what is inside. You receive everything from boxes of chocolate, a few gift cards, even a tin of fresh cookies! 

For weeks, you try to figure out who this “Santa” is. Surely someone you know? Someone you’ve met? Nobody you know is telling you a thing. Hmm? 

Yep, this is what my mind gave me this morning. I am slowly working on it, hoping to post it in the next few weeks. It won’t be long or extravagant, but I think it will be cute. 

Oh, did I mention one of these glorious beings is “Santa”?
