CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Four persons admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) were the first to be tested as the government-run regional hospital opened its coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) testing laboratory on Thursday morning. In a press release on Friday, the City Information Office said all four tested negative for Covid-19, a process that only took about an hour in the GeneXpert laboratory of NMMC that has been equipped to conduct real-time reverse transcription - polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests. None of the tested patients was from Cagayan de Oro. Dr. Bernard Julius Rocha, NMMC Medical Specialist II, said the laboratory was made possible through the efforts of Department of Health (DOH) 10 (Northern Mindanao) Director Adriano Suba-an and Dr. Jose Chan, NMMC hospital chief. The two doctors worked to make NMMC get its license and accreditation as a Covid-19 testing facility. Rocha said the NMMC already has 1,740 Xpert Xpress cartridges for its testing machine. Meanwhile, the regional health office and the Polymedic Medical Plaza are expected to start operating their Covid-19 testing facilities soon. Dr. Ian Christian Gonzales, head of the Infectious Diseases Cluster of DOH-10, said a team from the World Health Organization is expected to arrive on Saturday to train 24 medical technologists who would do the laboratory work. Two PCR machines were acquired by the administration of Mayor Oscar Moreno for the DOH-10 Covid-19 laboratory. The city government is acquiring a third PCR machine. (PNA/CIO Press Release)

Invece, da lunedì prossimo anche il tennis azzurro avrà il suo terzo top 10 come Austria (Muster, Melzer e Thiem), Cile (Rios, Massu e Gonzales) e Gran Bretagna (Greg Rusedski, canadese di nascita e di formazione tennistica, ma naturalizzato britannico a 22 anni, Henman e Murray). Al contrario, se contiamo i top 10 azzurri dell’era pre-computer, ovvero quando le classifiche di fine anno venivano affidate a esperti e giornalisti, Fabio Fognini diventa il sesto top 10 italiano di sempre dopo Umberto de Morpurgo (9° nel 1928, 10° nel 1929 e 8° nel 1930), Giorgio De Stefani (9° nel 1934), Nicola Pietrangeli (numero 3 del mondo nel 1959 e 1960), Adriano Panatta (4° nel 1976) e Corrado Barazzutti (7° nel 1978). Una cosa è certa, Fabio Fognini quest’anno è entrato nel club dei più grandi di sempre e se continua così può scrivere altre pagine di storia del tennis italiano.

Moving on. They did it. They bit the bullet, ripped off the bandage, and broke up with the conventions of the auto industry. Finally Polestar is free to dive in with both feet and follow their ambitions, unfettered by tradition, unhindered by legacy. This is the film launching Polestar into the future, going all electric. A giant leap in automotive technology and we are super proud to be part of this wonderful development together with agency Forsman & Bodenfors and Polestar!

The story is told in a letter written to the car industry, with a goodbye to the fossile engine and welcoming the all new electric car. Polestar will never again build a fossile engine - That's the message of "The breakup". The launch is happening on Valentines day and is communicated through a massive worldwide campaign. It's time to show the world what the future looks like.

We made this film using a combination of filmed ink sequences combined with 3D animation. The process was an interesting mix of techniques, some we had to figure out ourselves and invent through a rigorous research and development process mixing different fluids and ink, and then we worked with different kind of mapping techniques bringing it all back into 3D and digital compositing to get the result we wanted.
