Spy x Family 2025 Calendar

As usual, I got my SxF calendar for next year~ For those who haven't seen these types of Japanese calendars before, they feature six A2 sized pages with two months per page, all with unique illustrations 😁 Due to their size, I'm not able to scan the full pages, however I will be sharing photos I took with my phone, as well as scans of cropped portions of some pages.

First is the Jan/Feb page, obviously inspired by CODE: White!

I managed to scan Yor and Bond from the picture. I love how he's watching Mama build a snowman ❤️

The Mar/Apr page features Damian and friends!

For the May/Jun page, Franky makes his first appearance on one of these calendars 😃 Babysitting Anya and Bond again, lol.

Next is Anya and Becky enjoying a nice summer out on the Jul/Aug page.

This one scanned pretty well.

The Sep/Oct features Yuri visiting the Forgers and looking rather pleasant, despite Loid being there and probably the one who did all the cooking 😅 Anya looks so cute.

This one scanned well too, though I had to crop out Loid (I'm sure Yuri is happy about that 😂)

And lastly for Nov/Dec, another wintry picture inspired by CODE: White!

It was too wide to make a complete scan, so I made two: one for Loid and Anya, and one for Yor and Anya ❤️

Got an Airsoft game with work coming up so I've been messing with my gear.

Hyped for the game coming up, skirmish on an open field event, may want to get some boots after this but I'll do the "how's trainers sound?" method again.

Tho I'm mostly hyped to be able to shoot my supervisor since it's a work event.

CTS A | Week 5 Growth Mindset

A1. I think having a growth mindset is changing perspectives. “Shifting perspectives can help you thwart automatic thoughts and navigate situations with a balanced outlook. It also gives you the chance to unpack your biases, develop a growth mindset, and even reinvent yourself as a more positive person.”(Perry). I believe the most important thing is maintaining a positive mindset, especially in challenging situations. When I face difficulties, I always try to see them as opportunities for growth. In today’s class, I tried drawing with my left hand. It felt really uncomfortable at first, but then I thought, 'if I used my left hand to draw, I might create unique drawings that don't usually come out.' That shift in perspective made the experience more enjoyable for me. Understanding and accepting my situation while approaching it with positivity and an open mind.

A2. I redesigned the I Jooz logo, and my favorite design is this drawing.

 I used the letters "I" and "J" to form the shape of a cup, giving customers the impression of a juice brand. 

What I don’t like is this drawing. 

It’s just the words "I Jooz" written plainly. I created it while exploring different ways to write the logo, but it doesn't fit the brand's vibe and is hard to read, so I consider it a weak design. However, through this process of trying different approaches, I came up with the idea to form the cup shape with the letters. "Every failed attempt gives you an idea of what doesn’t work and what should work."(Maxwell). If I hadn’t tried out the simple design, I might not have discovered the one I really liked.

Heterokonta, el reino naranja

Los heterocontos o estramenopilos (Stramenopiles) son uno de los grupos con mayor diversidad de especies. Podemos encontrar tanto organismos unicelulares como pluricelulares abarcando varios nichos. Una característica de la mayoría de las especies de este grupo en al menos alguna de las etapas de sus ciclos vitales es la presencia de dos flagelos diferenciados, uno con mastigonemas (proyecciones similares a cerdas de cepillos) y otro liso y menos desarrollado.

Dentro de los Heterocontos podemos encontrar organismos autótrofos unicelulares como son las diatomeas (Bacillariophyceae), las cuales pueden encontrarse flotando sobre la columna de agua (planctónicos) o en el lecho de los cuerpos de agua (bentónicos) y pluricelulares como feofíceas (Phaeophyceae) llamadas comúnmente algas pardas. Algunas de ellas, tales como Laminaria sp. se encuentran sujetas al sustrato, un caso similar pasa con Macrocystis sp., con la única diferencia de que esta cuenta con neumatocistos en la base de sus láminas, estas estructuras le ayudan con la flotabilidad, manteniéndola erguida. Ambas especies conforman los denominados bosque de kelp. Por otra parte, algunas especies de feofíceas como el sargazo (Sargassum sp) se encuentran flotando libremente gracias a los neumatocistos con los que cuenta.

Una característica muy llamativa que presentan los heterocontos autótrofos es la presencia de clorofila a y c,la cual se cree que es producto de la fagocitación y endosimbiosis de los cloroplastos de las algas rojas en algún momento de su historia evolutiva.

Por otro lado, podemos encontrar organismos heterótrofos como los Opalinos (Opalinata) donde encontramos a Protoopalina, los cuales son comensales dentro de los intestinos de algunos organismos como anfibios o reptiles y también organismos saprofitos y parásitos como son los Oomicetos (Oomycetes), organismos morfológica y ecológicamente similares a los hongos pero que no guardan ninguna relación con ellos, como es el caso de Peronospora sp.

La reproducción en estas especies puede ser tanto asexual como sexual y en el caso de las feociceas se presenta la alternancia de generaciones, es decir, que las formas haploides y diploides son pluricelulares y de vida libre.
