Man, social media is hard.
I have an account on Instagram, but I just wanna leave it. And it sucks cause I had ok luck with it for a while, but itā€™s barely useable at this point. Hashtags are completely fucked, the algorithm changes every two seconds, the switch of focus to video content kills all hope for most people posting images, and now theyā€™re doing stupid Ai shit soon! Great! Wow! So lovely!
Iā€™m debating making an account on some newer smaller social media and seeing how that turns out. Bigger ones just have all been going straight to shit. Iā€™ve heard a little buzz about Cara, but eh idk about it yet.
Anyway, I think Iā€™m going to be officially moving my main focus to maybe here in tumblr, the few discord servers Iā€™m in, and then whatever other smaller platform I decide on. Maybe eventually Iā€™ll have a toyhouse account and can hopefully start selling adopts or something.
But yeah, social media is hard, ughā€¦

If that picture doesn't sum all the FurAffinity hijacking that went on from late August 20th to the 21st, then I'll explain it.
FurAffinity got hacked by an individual(whose handles keep changing, so no official identity as of yet) who did this for a reason that was bound to fail: To scam people into purchasing a cryptocurrency literally no one cares about. This also went onto FurAffinity's official Twitter/X account(which has been reclaimed since), in order to shill his cryptocurrency.
The hacker hijacked their DNS(Domain name System) to redirect those who clicked fA's links to redirect them to a number of websites(its most recent being Kiwifarms) as part of a major cryptocurrency purchasing scam.
The moderators of Kiwifarms has confirmed that they had ZERO involvement in this hijacking, so now this crypto-scammer is going to get their just desserts and pay lots of bills. Need I also add that this person accidentally revealed their name/address and got themselves doxxed in the process?
Look me in my four eyes and tell me that the motivations behind all this are NOT stupid and petty. It's bad enough that crypto's already at a downturn, but this is just ridiculous!

Pardon me if this is too personal, but how are you faring after losing your job?
I didn't lose it; I quit because the shelter board was making decisions that hurt the entire staff and all the cats and it was making me crazy because no one was listening to me and sooner or later the animals were going to start dying from lack of care. They were already going almost 2 weeks with broken limbs without seeing a vet. Working there was killing me.
What really did it for me wasn't even about the shelter. I finally signed up for a figure drawing session, pulled out my pen, and remembered why I was alive.
Right now I'm back how I was before I got the job: drawing an insane amount every day, to the point I have to force myself to take breaks for the sake of my wrist.
When I had the job I had to force myself to spend 30 seconds on the daily doodle to keep up my streak. Even on my days off I felt half dead.
Right now I'm taking a short break on moneymaking to do some personal projects, then I'll open up commissions. They'll be more expensive than they were before, because I'll need to pay myself a living wage per hour.
I also need to start cross platforming to get more exposure. I'm literally ONLY on tumblr because its the only social media I enjoy, but I gotta get around, you know? I have accounts on reddit, twitter, instagram, and furaffinity, but they are mostly empty and just holding my name so no one else takes it.
I also need to update my portfolio, linkedin, and join behanced and Artstation.
I'm not excited about all the work ahead of me, but it's gotta be done if I want to make a living.
I am excited to draw again.

You donā€™t have to answer this question as itā€™s probably dumb to askā€¦but do you know what platform(s) would be a good starting point? Particularly for original content rather then fanart? I heard deviantart is a good place where alot of ppl got there start on but thereā€™s lots of art thrives and such.
don't even worry, it's not dumb at all! it's hard to gauge where to Begin in the vast hellscape that is the online world. i do get this question [and some adjacent questions] often so please allow me to use your ask as an excuse to post a few of my site rankings for various art things!!
for reference, these are the sites I'll be addressing because i have used them at some point within the last year. please note: my information on Cohost and Itaku specifically may be out of date as I haven't used them in a long while. naturally, this is all solely my perspective. i run both a furry/original content account and an anime/fanart account on most of these sites and run them reasonably independently from one another. these rankings are based on how well each account fares on each site.
I will be talking about Patreon and Ko-Fi as if people will only be posting paywalled content there. you Can publicly post on both sites, but for the sake of this post i'm only going to treat them as paywalled sites since well, that's kind of their purpose.
Tumblr media
POSTING ART IN GENERAL
Tumblr media
the A-tier list sites here are the ones that are most practical, with a decent member presence and little to no algorithms impairing your reach. the only sites here with any sort of algorithm are tumblr and deviantart, but i feel they don't ruin your reach that much.
B-tier list is mostly centered around popularity. there are massive audiences on both masto and twitter. twitter can be really good if you're posting certain content. mastodon has countless instances [read: servers / subdomains, however you want to call them] that can help narrow down an audience and like-minded people. for example, i use mastodon.art whereas many furries may use meow.social. you Can be discovered by people on other servers than yours.
C-tier has been sorted in accordance to audience. this is solely in my experience, but not a lot of new people are flocking to cohost and itaku. we also just hate facebook in this house and i will never give a facebook products a high rating.
F-tier: if you are a new or growing artist, putting your art behind a paywall or making it a chat platform exclusive thing can really hinder your growth. you can still do this of course, but you won't get as many eyes on your work as you would on a public gallery. threads is there solely due to privacy issues that Cannot be overlooked. i will not recommend it.
POSTING ORIGINAL CONTENT / CHARACTERS / NON-FANWORKS
Tumblr media
here's how i'd grade these sites for posting Original content, characters, stories, etc. your best sites will likely be furaffinity, deviantart, and tumblr. i've put these three here for their tag use, discoverability, and audience presence. tumblr can be a little glitchy with its tags, but they DO function.
A-tier is entirely centered around audience presence. these sites are great for showing off your work, but they don't have the same population as the S-tier. mastodon can be good as the quieter instances give you more discoverability. bluesky has been THRIVING when it comes to the furry community as of late [i'm personally on there daily] - the only reason i don't put it as S-tier is because it's invite-only AND you need to rely on your work being found through the Feeds feature if you aren't an already established artist.
B-tier: useful, but population may hinder your growth. toyhouse is GREAT for posting your original characters and stories, but it is invite-only and not necessarily gallery-focused [it can be USED for a gallery, but it's not the main purpose]. you can also post stories and lore to toyhouse. discord and telegram are Good, but again it can be hard to gain an audience through sites that require invites.
C-tier: it is DIFFICULT to grow on paywalled sites with original content. cohost [to my knowledge] has been stagnating with the release of bluesky.
F-tier: threads sucks, the end.
POSTING FANWORK, FANFIC, FANDOM CONTENT IN GENERAL
Tumblr media
S-tier here is sorted because of audience presence. while twitter does suck, i'm finding a LOT of success there with fanart. tumblr is The fandom site of course. furaffinity is great for a surprising range of fanart that isn't exclusive to furry, and deviantart's Groups feature is still going strong which can give you that extra exposure.
A-tier is: fans Go here, but the population or algorithm can make things tricky. instagram is good for fanwork but the algorithm and the speed that things are posted there can make discoverability an uphill battle. patreon; if you make comics or art with fan characters [especially 18+ content lmao] you can grow pretty rapidly there. patreon, like any other paywalled site, should be a secondary site and not your Primary posting location. artfol and pillowfort are still growing. pillowfort has a Communities feature - sort of like deviantart groups - that you can submit your art to which gives you that extra exposure. artfol is just a nice gallery site and the tagging system is,, decent enough. a little confusing because the tag system looks up keywords in posts and titles First, you have to tab over to hashtag searching specifically.
B-tier: invite only and audience reach. again, bluesky relies on your art to be picked up in Feeds, as there's currently no tag search. inkblot is growing but has a decent audience. ko-fi isn't as known as patreon for exclusive content but it's still a good site. mastodon has tagging that makes discoverability easier, but mastodon and its many servers can make things confusing for some people. itaku's not as commonly used so it may be harder to gain new eyes there once you establish yourself.
C-tier: posting fanart to these sites Can Work. toyhouse focuses on posting and sorting original characters, so treating it as a gallery site won't get your far fast. it isn't impossible to grow as an artist there, but the site isn't intended for fanart posting. i cannot say much on cohost here. telegram and discord, again, it's harder for people to discover you out of the blue unless you mention your server / channel on another site.
F-tier: fuck threads.
lastly, to address thieves,
thieves are gonna be everywhere. i'm sorry to say, but there will always be shitty people. i recommend the following:
watermark your art. not in the corner, don't just sign in one spot, place a Huge translucent watermark over the WHOLE art. i recommend making it a colour gradient too instead of one solid colour or greyscale.
also: sign your goddamned art! put your username on there!
post a low resolution when sharing online. less than 1200px wide or tall. 72dpi. JPEG format. keep the high res privately for yourself.
add a subtle noise filter over your art. it doesn't have to be high opacity, and it'll make your art a little grainy, but it's good for fucking with AI bots and ruining any print quality potential.
i hope this offers some insight! if you have a different experience on these sites, please feel free to add your testimonial in the replies or reblogs! not every artist is going to have the same experience and growth rate.

In a modern AU Laios would have the knowledge and resources to become a fat it/its transgender therian with a furaffinity account and it'd comment on pics of like a velociraptor cumflating a dire wolf with shit like "I really appreciate you drawing the feathers a lot of people don't do that and think it's lame but I like them :) I also like that even though they're anthro you got the size difference somewhat accurate to their species' sizes!" and immediately send it into the sfw sharing channel of Marcille's discord server because its at an angle where you cant see the penis and it though the dire wolf just had a really big meal and they're hugging about it.

Hi! Sorry if this has been asked before, but how did you get started on selling your work? Did you build your community beforehand, or maybe did you go looking for communities to sell? Thank you!! ^_^
I started out selling furry commissions on furaffinity as a teenager!! I was a furry before that as well, but I feel like I joined FA kinda with the mindset of selling stuff? My pawberry accounts were more self-indulgent and for fun, tho. I joined Twitter kind of on impulse, but I sold stuff early on and definitely cultivated an audience of people who wanted commissions. I built a lot of community on FA and also did a lot of community stuff on Twitter, like drawing fanart and my own ocs. On Tumblr I do lots of community stuff too. In fact, I mostly post here for community because it's rarer I get commissions here. People appreciate it if you really care and want to be in the community. I probably started selling commissions in like 2015, and it didn't become full time til 2020 ish. The more self-indulgent and invested in the community I got the more people responded to my work, I feel like.

I wanted to warn you about Shelly who you've been interacting with in the DuckTales fandom. They were a known groomer and all around gross person in the PokƩmon fandom. They are obsessed with children characters and s*xualize everything. They associate on Twitter, Furaffinity, Inkbunny etc. with artists that draw p*rn and inc*st of child characters including Boyd and the duck children. You can search AmorousArtist (a twitter mutual that's collabed with them and one of many examples) to get an idea. Be warned it's "Dead Dove" level art. They tend to play dumb about stuff even though they're around 40 now and were in the Pokemon fandom for almost two decades before finally being called out. They are very agreeable and change what they like and how they act like a chameleon. They befriend older fans to gain safety. Warnings have been going around but because they're a really good artist I don't think it's being taken seriously. Thankfully some have pulled away or already have them blocked. Please don't give them attention, they traumatized me and my friends and no one cared because they got the artist free pass. Even looking back their PokƩmon stuff was a red flag. I know a lot of ducks fans are young and impressionable and I'm scared it's happening again. Thank you for your time and please stay safe, it's hard to trust people nowadays :(
TW: Pedophilia, grooming
Thank you anonymous for coming forward to me with this information. I know letting others know about stuff like this is never easy but your concern for the safety of me and others in the DuckTales fandom is much appreciated
After receiving this message from anonymous I talked with a couple others in the DuckTales fandom who received this message from you and decided to look into the info they gave us. And after searching their Twitter, their art mutualā€™s stuff, as well as looking them up on other sites, I found out that yes, Shelly does associate themselves with that ArmorousArtist who draws NSFW art featuring minors and Shelly has drawn stuff like that in their past
I will say the only sexualize art I found on their Twitter was stuff with adult characters as well as a pinned tweet urging minors not to interact with their account, however the art mutual anonymous mentioned DID have some very questionable art involving the young characters of DuckTales
When I went searching for Shellyā€™s art on other sites I came across their PokĆ©mon artwork and can confirm yes, their sexualize artwork featured some of the PokĆ©mon that are on the cutesy side as well as one with a trainer
If youā€™re a minor and have come across the blogs @/Shellyoducks, @/shellyochunks, or @/chickenmcdicken hereā€™s what I want you to do:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Block those accounts. Do NOT interact with them at all!
I will state it right here that I myself am not a minor but someone in their late twenties (I turned 27 back in January) and have been in a few fandoms in my life. I never really interacted with a lot of people so I donā€™t have a whole lot of advice other than this:
Block people like this
Let someone IRL know about your mutuals and anybody you interact with a lot here or any social media site
And I get it. You wanna keep your personal life and your online life separate. You do have the right to your own private life, but you should also be safe. But please if you have a parent, a relative, or an older sibling thatā€™s an adult that you can talk to about your interests, please let them know about the people you talk to online and please be safe

Could you do a TL;DR of the whole Kino thing, please?
i can't promise that this will be much shorter but i'll do my very best for you anon!
DISCLAIMER ONCE AGAIN DO NOT HARASS KINO OR DO ANYTHING STUPID, i'm not your dad but use some common sense
i'm pulling info from the doc currently available here and asks and messages i've received which are available in the tag kinodraws on my blog, everything is alleged, use your own brain and make your own judgement on whether you wish to support kino
kino (they/them), current account kinodraws on most platforms, is a fairly popular online artist and now tattoo artist who has for years on various accounts scammed people out of money via unfulfilled commissions, fundraisers and recently even a charity zine (the doc mentions a bunch of other allegations of bad behavior and random stuff like ghosting webcomic companies etc but i'll try to keep this brief and focus on what i feel is most relevant)
some of kino's previous accounts and their scamming related to them:
PAISELEY, currently permabanned on furaffinity, here's a livejournal of a bunch of people corroborating their experiences being scammed by kino through unfulfilled commissions
CAPONE, also permabanned on furaffinity for the same reasons
RIVETS, permabanned once again on furaffinity for scamming
ARTIST BEWARE PAGE, the user got a refund after nearly an entire year of messaging kino about the subject
RUN ME THROUGH ZINE, all pages of which kino deleted, the proceeds of which were supposed to go to charity, you can find a lot of the things related to this on my tag and pinned post it was an ofmd zine and was very badly managed (missing artists and pieces etc etc) that ended up never being released kino ghosts the zine, deletes the pages and pockets the money made (allegedly $1300 but we have no real way of knowing how much the proceeds actually were), posts a falsified receipt only after people pressure them to speak on the matter after months of silence, people contact the charity and the charity reports kino donated just $1 kino once again goes silent and only after a giant uproar they FINALLY donate the money to the charity, but not before they blame someone else for not posting receipts about it (it was kino's responsibility) and guilt tripping people about how they've been harassed (again i do not condone harassment but people literally wanted them to just donate the money where it was supposed to go in the first place and they refused to even address that nor why they forged the first receipt)
kino also has a tendency to make expensive frivolous purchases (electronics, a hot tub, tattoos, a custom chair....) time and time again once they've scammed money out of people via whatever method they've chosen (they often post about these purchases too after deleting whatever emergency commissions post or a post asking for donations), and while far be it from me to tell someone what to do with their finances, they can't seem to stop scamming in order to get money
so i'd strongly suggest not supporting kino! they manipulate, lie and steal and claim they're a victim of some mass bullying campaign when in reality they've spent seventeen years scamming people out of money and people are getting rightfully angry! they also will likely continue to do so as long as people give them money
again use your own brain when reading people's testimonies about kino, a lot of them in the tag on my blog, but i believe these people and that their experiences are real considering the number of messages i've received (some of which people wished to remain private)
kino's made their bed and i want them to finally lie in it, so even if one person is convinced not to support kino via all this information then i'll be satisfied
i'm sorry this still got so long!

Hello! This account is pretty new, but Iā€™ve been a fan of your art for years.
Iā€™ve been a lurker for a long while, but I want to be more active in TF and furry spaces. Iā€™m justā€¦ very clueless about how to go about that. Do you have any advice for a nervous wannabe learning how to be part of an online community?
Hey hey! Sorry it took me a while to answer this, I was actually ruminating on the best way to do so.
Very glad to hear that you've been following for such a long time ^^ That means you likely got to see how I went from being a newcomer to the TF community to being a regular artist (god, can't believe I started a decade ago...)
As for getting yourself involved, it really can be just as simple as finding folks with alike interests and joining in on the conversation. Transformation is a pretty broad community with a bunch of different niches in it (like for instance how my work generally focuses on human to creature/character TF/TG), so it's worth narrowing down exactly what it is in TF you're interested in (or maybe you like the whole spectrum!) Nowadays that's usually via Discord groups, but much of the TF and furry community still does a lot of its interaction via places like furaffinity. If you trawl around, you're sure to find links to discord groups dedicated to talking about folks turning into things. Leaving comments on artists or writers whose works you enjoy means a LOT to those of us who create, and also opens you up as a person who is willing and interested to talk about said stuff. Heck, several friends who I talk to regularly nowadays started off as folks who just commented on my stuff whenever I uploaded!
And of course there's creating transformation related work, artwork and literature being the big things. Put some stuff out there, work on honing your craft, and slowly build up an audience. My situation is a bit atypical, considering that I built my reputation off of doing MLP TF art, to the point that even though the number of MLP TFs I've done has fallen off dramatically folks still refer to me as the pony TF person (which I don't mind at all!)- but creating TF work is probably one of the biggest ways of showing your interest in it.
It will take a bit of time and work, and it will require you to be open and vulnerable about yourself and something you care about, but if you keep at it and are earnest about your love for this thing we share about people turning into things, then I'm sure you'll find yourself amongst friends and the community in due time ^^

Heaven For A Heathen: Postmortem
Hey everyone!Ā  This is Naomi Norbez, aka Bez (pronouns e/he) the developer of Heaven For A Heathen.Ā  I am now allowed to put my name to the project, so here I am with a postmortem!
Content warning: discussion of sex & kink, specifically noncon, spanking and degradation.Ā  Religion & angels are also discussed.
_____
Heaven For A Heathen isnā€™t usually the kind of project I do on this account.Ā  Normally, I save the erotica for my FurAffinity alt lmao.Ā  But I had an idea and decided to go for it because, well. . .
This year, I made a lot of self-indulgent games.Ā  Games with no higher purpose behind their existence.Ā  Games that exist just because I wanted them to exist.Ā  Heaven For A Heathen is one of those.Ā  If it is helpful to others in some way, thatā€™s fantastic of course, but it was not created with that purpose in mind.Ā  It was made because, a week before the game jam closed, I got a hot idea in my brain that I couldnā€™t ignore.Ā  Thatā€™s all.
As soon as the idea solidified, I immediately messaged Lolsy & LunarLegacy to play the parts of Timothy & Nathaniel respectively.Ā  Theyā€™re NSFW VAs I've worked with before on less adult projects, mainly my aroace game Yancy At The End Of The World!Ā  Theyā€™re both very talented, and they played these roles excellently.Ā  They brought the characters to life in such a marvelous way. Also, LunarLegacy came up with the gameā€™s titleā€”itā€™s such a good title omg!
As I wrote the script, the characters revealed themselves to me.Ā  I was especially intrigued by the fantasies Nathaniel ended up havingļæ½ļæ½ļæ½an angel wanting a noncon scenario in bed, and degrading his partner while fucking him?Ā  Fascinating!Ā  I love it!
Iā€™ll readily admit that I added the spanking because the sex scene was beginning to bore me.Ā  Sex on its own doesnā€™t excite me much, but sex with kink?Ā  Thatā€™s where itā€™s at, baby!Ā  Theoretically, of course, because Iā€™m asexual lol.
But even though the spanking scene was added out of boredom, it added an interesting shade to Nathanielā€™s fantasies & character.Ā  Now, the scene pivoted to the idea of punishment, giving a bad boy his just desserts.Ā  Perhaps this is something he enjoys the idea of as an angel, as one of Godā€™s executors of divine justice?
Letā€™s pivot to Timothy.Ā  An experienced, confident porn star who agrees to become Nathanielā€™s plaything for a night, in exchange for a ticket to heaven.Ā  He enjoyed his time with Nathaniel, but how much of that was genuine, and how much of it was acting?Ā  What will he do with himself when he gets into a heaven, a place that most likely forbids his kind of work?
There are a lot of things I left unanswered about him that Iā€™d love to explore in the future.Ā  Nathaniel too, with the biggest one being: has he snuck others into heaven in exchange for these ā€œfavorsā€? Or is Timothy the first?
After the script came the programming.Ā  I asked the Neo-Interactives Discord about a tool that could reveal text in Twine line-by-line, as that was how I wanted to present the story.Ā  After a good amount of discussion, I was pointed to the Mousey Click To Proceed macro, and it fit my needs perfectly.Ā  It was even better than what I had envisioned, tooā€”instead of clicking a specific link to show another sentence, one only had to click on the text itself.Ā  I love the macro, and am grateful I was introduced to it!
Putting it all togetherā€”text, voice acting, programming so that everything was perfectly timedā€”was a ton of fun.Ā  I also took the time to look for music for the project, and came across the 2020 Was A Challenge album by EMAYTEE.Ā  Killer stuff!I definitely want to use more music from this album in future projects!Ā  I also found a very nice spanking sound effect by Ezcahā€”Iā€™ve been using freesound.org for my sound effects for years; that site & its users never disappoint.
All of this in one week!Ā  I wish I had gotten the idea when the Anonymous Righteous game jam started, 45 days before the deadline, but alas!Ā  The muse is a fickle little bastard sometimes lmao. I hope you liked this behind-the-scenes look into the gameā€™s development.Ā  Thank you for reading!

I just had a thought about furaffinity.
Although the majority of the artists I follow on Twitter also have an FA account, few of them update it with everything they post to Twitter.
On the one hand, there is the fact that on FA you have to put in all the details about the image, give it a title, add a description etcā€¦ which makes it more difficult and time consuming to upload.
But I think the big reason people donā€™t use it is the lack of feedback. Images donā€™t have a like button. You can fave them but not from your submissions feed. Twitter gives you an instant indication of the popularity of an image, people can like it and share it with a single click and thatā€™s why Twitter is so important to artists.
If anyone has a spare bluesky invite please message me with it and Iā€™ll start following artists on there too. Most of the artists I follow have at least got accounts there now and once it opens up it should be a good replacement for twitter.

Update:
She deleted her journal. Has she apologized or acknowledged her mistake? No.
She deleted it and she's trying to pretend it never happened. Which is very on brand for her.
She has also privated her twitter but right before doing that, she retweeted a self shipping positivity post. She did this when she got called out for transphobia and for shipping her YBFsona with a minors.
How does she react when she gets called out? The same way she always does.
Tumblr media
She's 31 y'all šŸ’€
Selfshippers!! Beware of this particular Self Shipper!!
As selfshippers, we all have our special ways of bonding with our F/Os, the possibilities are endless. But apparently some SelfShippers are pretty elitist and snotty about how we go about selfshipping even when it's completely fucking harmless??
TW for invalidating self shippers and F/O accounts. Don't read the screenshot if you are sensitive to invalidation!!
Tumblr media
(for their safety and anonymity, I won't share the two people she's wanting to read that journal nor the accounts for their F/Os)
She is a fellow selfshipper and idk her current Tumblr but she's most active on Furaffinity (( ~InkyEnigma~ )) and Twitter (( EddiesLilbrat92 ))
She's currently selfshipping with Wally Darling, Eddie Munson and Donatello from RotTMNT so if you're in those fandoms, please be especially cautious. She's known to be very possessive of her FOs (she harassed friends when they FOd the same characters ) and has been caught tracing fanart.
(( she's guilty of a great number of things like tracing, shipping herself with a minors sona, money and art scamming, harassment, bird dogging former friends etc ))
Please let me know what tags I can use to get the warning out to others who might be negatively impacted by this kind of attitude.
Stay Safe Self Shippers and Fictos!

Yet another Ami rework for My Life as a Teenage Rabbotā€¦
Decided to redo on Ami, again. No new art from me, albeit an update to one of my already existing works. This is more of an update I made last month in regard to some advice I got from someone in the Original Character subreddit in this post and so, I booted up GIMP and reworked on Ami yesterday. I was also feeling nostalgic yesterday, so I brought back her old jacket she had in previous designs out of personal preference, but tidied it up and decided to make it her official uniform when working at the Mapleville Daily.
GIMP file stats:
File size: 4.26 megabytes
Layers: 207
File size after exporting: 4.3 megabytes
Compression ratio: 9
You can view the other uploads on my Newgrounds, FurAffinity, and Inkbunny accounts.

Meet the artist... Finally finished this lol.
Text:
First picture;
Meet the artist Saphomet.
"Holo there! I'm Saphomet, most call me Ghost. I'm mainly a writer/fanartist who enjoys creating dark, gothic or humoristic work. I've been sharing my writing since 2013, same-ish with my art."
Fun facts:
My favourite season is winter, I hate summer.
I don't really watch movies, I prefer books.
I love saving small trinkets in a chest I keep on a shelf, one of my fave things is a bday card I got on my 21st bday from my grandma that reads; "I don't know what's wrong with you. Love grandma".
I collect bones and teeth. I keep the teeth in a jar on a shelf.
Questions:
Fave TV show?
Depends. Live action? Probably spn or hannibal. My fave anime is Shiki, and has been since 2013.
Fave Game?
LOZ breath of the wild and Pokemon legends arceus.
What kind of music do you like?
Yes. (lol jk)
My music taste is very broad. I really enjoy choir music and listen to OSTs a lot. I don't know if there's one specific genre I listen to more than others.
Other hobbies?
I like to read (Like, actual books) a lot. Most, okay all, of my books are non-fiction or text books. I'd like to read more fiction books, preferably horror books. I read carrie once and I really enjoyed that. My fave fiction book is se7en (yes, like the movie).
I also watch gaming videos a lot, mostly horror games. I occasionally play games myself too.
Second picture:
As a writer....
Background:
I started out on deviantart in 2012, moved to ffnet in 2013 and then to ao3 in 2014. I do have an ffnet acc still, but I don't use it.
Has your works changed since you started?
In some ways yes. Of course they have, it's been more than a decade.
In other ways? No. Many of my first works were.. Dark. Similar to what I write today honestly, just a lot more dramatic somehow.
I would consider transferring those first works to ao3 if I could delete my ffnet account, if only as a reminder of how far I've come in terms of quality.
Questions:
First work?
My first still published one-shot is an Ao No Exorcist fic. My first multi-chaptered still published fic is a Homestuck fic. Both from 2013.
Fave thing to write?
Angst. I love grief, angst, tragedy and death. I love exposition. I love hurt. Dark works::)
Fave tropes?
Hmm... Platonic cuddling and intimacy. Forced cannibalism. Fuck or Die. Pain-sharing. Body-swapping. Secrets & Exposition. Codependency. Enemies to family/Enemies with benefits.
Fave works?
As of August 2024;
It's better when you're with me (but that's better left unsaid) &
Bacterial Contamination
Ever thought about rewriting a work?
Oh yeah. I'd like to rewrite my first Aoex fic one day to be more tragic. I would also like to rewrite my GF fic 'Boiling Blood' to be less... blegh.
Last pic:
And as an artist?
Background:
I've drawn fanart since I was a kid. I started doing digital art on mspaint in 2013, then got Ibispaint x on my phone in 2014.
On picture of Joker Miku: Trad fanart from 2012
On picture of Natsuno: Mspaint art 2013
On MLP anthros: Ibispaint art 2014
On Allen painting: Pictured is a painting i made in 2013. My grandma loved it so much she decided to hang it in her living room. She still has it, and has no idea who that is lol
Questions:
First art handle?
GoddammitGabriel. My current handle is Saphomet/SpleenJuice
Fave colors?
Bright neon colors! Especially greens, blues and yellows. I love most colors tbh. Except for purple, I really don't like purple honestly
Fave thing to draw?
Monsters! Character design. Taurs. Symbolistic art.
Process?
Depends. Usually I just doodle on my phone. If it's a planned thing I will sketch it out on paper first in my sketchbook and take a pic. My go-to pen is the dip pen (bleed). I don't use a stylus.
Where do I post my art?
On Tumblr @GhoulySaphomet and on Furaffinity @SpleenJuice. I do not have other social media.

Yeah. It's basically why I'm thinking of lessening my inputs in some art communities. So many of the people in Discord alone are very touchy when it comes to receiving criticism over webcomics and even art.Ā
The last server I was on banned me for basically talking about how the owner of a server's art piece would probably improve if they go back and finish it. All I got was a response that amounted to "shut the fuck up! Let the artist do what they want" with the artist/owner pointing up to it in agreement when they were the ones who asked for an opinion. Always treating me like I'm a negative user and a whale (basically meaning a person who consumes a lot of media and treating it like it's a part of the conversation).Ā
Generally speaking, webcomic servers are just terrible places. Like all of them just run on echo chamber energy. Sure you can say that about social media sites, but forums and especially Discord servers have it worse to me. LikeĀ the times I keep getting vague answers on comics that seemingly have no directions and all the artist does it post sarcastically smug emojis over the questions while saying things like "that's an interesting idea" or "Ooo! Maybe. Guess you got to keep reading". No real engagement. Just garbage responses.
Or one time when I tried to ask a simple question about a flaw in a character or even story that I didn't like how it was written, and the author spent time divulging their character's bio and how story writing works without actually engaging with me and answering what I just asked. Acting like I didn't read or understood the story/intentions. You know, before blocking me on almost all accounts. Furaffinity, Twitter, Tumblr, ect. ect. Just a waste of time, especially mine.
That's one of the things you're wrong about, GW dude. It doesn't matter if they're a big shot or not. As long as an artist/person hasĀ AN AUDIENCEĀ they're all the same. Just borderline insecure and most times arrogant people who really have a specific audience in mind that will take the good and the bad, not say anything about either, and put users down if they didn't like what they said.
That is unfortunate and irritating to hear and I don't know if it's the internet that caused this or does popularity really go into people's heads. This reminds me of the anon who came here like a month ago to tell me to critique Marvel movies instead of webcomics. I think they might have been a webcomic artist who comes from that exact mindset. These people also need an example of what a negative person is. Go on Twitter, and I am not naming names but certain users who spend their whole timeline shitting on shit. Those people give me the idea they are very hard to be around. Likely nicest thing they can say about something is "looks like shit lmao". I know you've critiqued me as well and I don't get the idea you're inherently a negative person. I do take everything you say to heart and if I say something stupid you're not afraid of saying it to my face. You don't go on twitter or some grassy forum to crop my statement and go "THIS PERSON IS CLUELESS! FUCK HIM!". That's being a dick. I guess the inability to handle criticism is just something that's very common in indie scene, like gaining an audience is the worst possible thing that could happen to you as a creator. I don't think you should give up. Webcomics already have a ruined reputation and it's not the fault of webcomic critics but the webcomic creators for being so shallow, self-centered and pardon my french, fucking delusional.

Old 12 Pains of Christmas Sketches
After that big ass post about what was the predecessor to my Lost Prince AU here is some sketches I made once connected to an update to the predecessor that is more closer to how the present version is.
This was based off the song "The 12 Pains of Christmas" by Bob Rivers, if we're lucky I'll update this one day but we all know I might not get to it. I think this was also going to be a video but never got to it.
Fun fact I think these pics led to me giving up on FurAffinity thanks to them removing the images thanks to "noise issues in the audio" or some shit. Keep in mind this is a picture.(I did eventually make a new account but I'm still barely on there)
This kind of contains spoilers
First thing
Tumblr media
Finding a Christmas tree, Sonic can't see(he's blind & has his eyes covered to keep them from getting even more damaged) & has an outfit based off the one I use to give his werehog form which is based on the fandom character(for Durarara) Psyche. Funny enough my introduction of the song 12 Pains of Christmas involved a Maple Story video were someone has a blindfold & is trying to find a Christmas tree for the rest of the video.
Second thing
Tumblr media
Knuckles has his gloves off or different gloves on for this. He's doing this cause the guy for this part was pissed the whole time. I mistakenly didn't get the second pic of him that you see in the corner.
Kunckles is rigging up the lights & Rouge is coming up the building to help. Lara is flying off to help while Mephiles, Sonic & Shadow are there in the distance watching.
Third thing
Tumblr media
Manic is hung over, this was when Kur was still around in my stuff & the poor naga is helping him
Forth thing
Tumblr media
Uncle Chuck sending Christmas cards
Had no idea who to put for this
Fifth thing
Tumblr media
Vector dealing with months of bills
Sixth thing
Tumblr media
Revived Cosmo(at one point I had the idea of her being a squirrel before making her a chipmunk) panicking over her in-laws. Oh hey Bokkun is in the corner.
Jules scares her but Blaze's mom(Blaze is technically niece-in-law) scares her more. Apparently even back in 2014 I imagined Blaze's mom being a terrible person.
Seventh thing
Tumblr media
Salvation Army
I forgot what the secret message for this was but I know it was something bad I learned the Salvation Army did cause they did some terrible shit.
Yeah Tails doesn't want to be here.
Eighth Thing
Tumblr media
Obligatory mention that Sonic X was my first Sonic series
Bokkun bothering Eggman, the poor bastard
Ninth thing
Tumblr media
No parking
I haven't drawn Chris in a long time, oh hey I got his hair right this time.(Last time I had a pic of him in his late teens/adult design I gave him his 12 year old design's hair)
Tenth thing
Tumblr media
Batteries not included
Vanilla is confused
Eleventh thing
Tumblr media
Big, Blaze & Silver watching stale TV specials
Froggy is sleeping in a fish tank setup for a frog enclosure when not off somewhere with Big
Twelfth thing
Tumblr media
Cubot, Bocoe, Decoe & Orbot singing Christmas carols
I didn't feel like fully drawing Cubot & Orbot's bodies so they're in closed shape mode.
It's kind of funny seeing these four together because I imagine at some point Bocoe & Decoe had leftby the time Orbot was in the picture.(Orbot showed up before Cubot became his kind of work partner since these robots meant to be Eggman's righthand men work in pairs)
Bonus image
Tumblr media
Don't ask why "Arcobaleno of the" is there, that was for something else & I forgot the context past Katekyo Hitman Reborn.
This was meant to be a space filler that'd be there every time the number changed which is why the sign is blank.
Pretty much Mephiles dressed for Christmas(Sonia gave him the sweater) holding a sign for every time the number changed in the song. Next to him are Shadow & Sonic's daughter Maria along with Mephiles & Sonic's daughter Helen. Both have had their names changed & have had design changes(since both look way too much like who they got their names from), I also have no idea why Helen's mouth is visible cause she's meant to have an invisible mouth like her dad.
This was also back from when I didn't draw eyebrows unless they were needed for certain expressions.
