My Thoughts:

My Dearest Raphael, I am curious to know what exactly it was that compelled you to draw a pine cone. It is certainly not something that I would have favored to sketch due to its asymmetry and complexity (I am not patient with things lacking consistency). Contours are cool, but this is a very good one to try your hand at adding depth with. If you have time, go back to this and add in shadows and textures.  Also, good advice so that you do not come across a drawing where you are running out of room on the paper again, start practicing with proportions and train the accuracy of your eye with distances. Roughly outline where you want your figure to fall before you start sketching and you should not come across that problem again. Even just placing dots to mark an estimate of where the significant points of your figure should fall is extremely helpful. Give it a shot. Yours, Bella
