A little account revamp! Interested in showing off my Ultimate Decades Challenge save file (though I am absolutely terrible at storytelling and just barely started using Tumblr again so bare with me), so here I am doing just that. I’ll be posting a lot more frequently. Hopefully at least.
I’m currently in the year 1321, but here’s a little introduction to the main household (out of three that) I’m playing with, and how the last 18 years of the Kensington family line have turned out (1300-1318). Here are my Gen 1 heirs, Marci and Esteban Kensington. They married in 1299 -- a few years after the death of Marci's parents, Gabriela and Arturo Lottway. Marci and Esteban birthed six (currently living) kids and unfortunately died a few months apart due to the Great Famine.
In total the two birthed ten kids. Marci was a loyal but hotheaded sim -- a trait many of her kids inherited. She was a kind person to many, particularly hated her aunt, Gloria Beaumont, for how she treated her mother before death, and managed motherhood beautifully after the birth of the twins. Esteban was a family-oriented sim who, while strict, loved his kids and loved gardening just a smidge more. He was also a glutton. As you can imagine, going through a period of time where hunger was a constant, and gardening was unavailable, was a challenge for Esteban (and a real nuance for me). Let's talk about the Kensington kids.
Both fraternal twins, Emiliano and Haven are left to care for their four younger siblings, Emil, Maerwynn, Laurance, and baby Marciella II, at just fifteen years old. The pressure they both feel to take care of their family is immense. Emiliano is especially stressed out as the heir of the Kensington line. Everyone, including himself, is depending on him to help their household recover after the tragedy of the Great Famine -- both financially and emotionally.
Emil -- unironically named similarly to his bigger brother, Emiliano (trust he hasn't gotten over that) -- is 12 years old and is the third oldest and second-in-line heir. Maerwynn is 10 years old and is the third youngest (fourth oldest). She and Emil are quite close. After all, in a household with five attention-hogging siblings, it's easy to feel inferior to your older, wiser siblings. Maerwynn and Emil can relate to that.
Laurance is 6 years old, the second youngest, and third-in-line heir. Inheriting his mother's hotheadedness, Laurance is particularly aggressive and mean to his siblings. Hopefully, he'll grow out of it... Named after her mother, Marci(ella) the Second is the youngest and only a few months old. With their parents gone, Haven has recently taken over the role of being a mother figure for her little sister who, one day, will be too old to remember the faces of the parents who loved her dearly.

Hillary Duff (American, born Sept. 28, 1987)
The Deadly Sin of Avarice, from La Somme le Roi by Laurent d'Orleans, circa 1290-1300. Master Honoré, painter, active 1288-1318 in the court of Phillip III (aka Phillip the Fair), Paris.
Master Honoré was a Parisian secular artist who produced Gothic-era illuminated manuscripts for the French monarchy, particularly Philip the Fair. He is considered sculptural in the design of his figures, even capturing the light as it plays on their bodies. (Wikipedia)
The text La Somme le Roi, by Dominican friar Laurent d'Orleans, includes expositions of Christianity's seven deadly sins and their remedies.

Threads research (chapter 9)
So, as it may be of some interest, and perhaps for my own reference later, I've decided to make some effort to compile the references I used while writing chapters of Threads of Fate
For those not familiar with Threads: think of it as a historical romance novel meets Ghost fanfic. But I mainly use it as my justification in researching the early 14th century. The years covered in Threads are 1312-1318.
Caveats: I am not a historian, just a nerd. As this is just a hobby, I spend my time researching things that are interesting to me, not necessarily the "important" bits.
Now, with that chunk of background out of the way, let's go!
Spoilers lite for Chapter 9 below the cut
Random bits
There's not too many rabbit holes this time as the chapter was more focused on Isabel and Secondo than what was around them. Nevertheless, in roughly the order they occur in the chapter, here are the things I spent way too long researching.
Provisions that are edible when frozen. The temperature at the start of the sled journey is supposed to be around -15c to -20c which means things will freeze pretty quickly. Modern recommendations for below-freezing trips tend to rely on modern food (e.g. link NB: it's in Norwegian). I had thought of them simply eating crispbread with toppings but was afraid that the toppings would be frozen. Solved this with Ghoul magic instead lol
Were inns a thing in the 1300s? So yes, at least in an Anglo context (the plight of trying to research in English I'm sure) link. I gave up without too much of a fight in trying to figure out what inns were like in Sweden at the time. We're just saying they're all roughly analogous I did make the authorial choice of not having Isabel and Secondo share a bed with more people. Bed sharing used to be a great deal more common. But for obvious plot reasons (and because of modern opinions of bed sharing) Isabel and Secondo got their own bed and room.
Hair and head coverings: I am basing Isabel's hair and cap on how Morgan Donner has styled her hair here. St. Birgitta was alive in the 14th century (although later than Isabel) so the cap and hairstyle feel accurate and more suited to travel than her usual more free styles. Although, now that we're talking hair/fashion, just going to drop the Codex Manses (browse virtually here) as largely what I am basing hair/fashion off of
Sleds
Because I'm not starting these info dumps at the same time as the story, here's my big question from Chapter 8: what were sleighs/sleds like then?
The real problem is that we have basically no evidence for this era specifically (or none that I could find. Historians please pass me references if you have them!). Watching part of this informative video was useful, however they quickly go beyond the early 1300s.
We have evidence from the Norwegian Oseberg viking burial (dated to the 9th century) of beautifully decorated sleds:
But that's obviously like 400+ish years before Threads. Which means that they're valid, but possibly antiquated. Using the work done here we can look at the manuscripts they reference for the 1300s and...
Well, let's be real. Neither of those are going to work to transport Secondo and Isabel. So what other cold weather climate peoples can we think of? The Russians? How old is the troika? 17th century, damn. Dog sleds were definitely a thing, but I'm not sure about Secondo and Isabel dog sledding across Sweden (even if the huskies are adorable to think about). So, I guess I'll just riff on the Oseberg sled and maybe add some more comfort/size.
This is obviously more modern, but what if we combine elements? Move the driver(s) up to the front and give Isabel and Secondo space in the back? Yeah, I'll just do that. Close enough, right? 😅😂
That's all I can think of for the moment. If y'all find these sorts of mini dives into 14th century life interesting let me know and I'll keep them going for the chapters as they come out

Peasant updates!
Hi!
So…. So far I have only been doing royal updates but thought I would do my main family updates! Yeah I know the royals aren’t my main family! Crazy right? I will show photos from 1300 until 1317! I will also added my family tree!
But for now here is my journey!
Here is the old house! It was a bit smaller in the beginning but thought I should show how we have grown!
Here is my gen 2 heir Emily when she was a child. This is her with her grandmother!
Baby Tole… sadly died in the famine but I have pics of her!
Birth of the next baby! This is when my gen 1 couple were still young!
Here is my gen 2 Emily! She fell in love with this guy first but later on… things changed
Here is a family portrait! This was before the great famine!
Here is my gen 2 heir Emily marrying someone else and not her childhood sweetheart!
Here is a recent photo of them before the Famine! From the top left is my Gen 1 Jane Byrgenwerth and Austen Byrgenwerth. Next is my gen 2 couple which is Emily! my gen 2 heir! and her husband Julio Byrgenwerth! Bottom left is Isota then Adelburga and then Tole and then Nothgyth
And Here is Adelburga getting engaged with her husband to be. Sadly Adelburga will die in the famine so i thought i would get her hitched :, 3 I loved her and wanted to have a couple good years! She married a royal servant!
Here she is on her wedding day :,3 i loved them so much
Elizabeth Duncan died (she was Jane's mother)
this is what the house looked like for a while. Emily and her husband had this tiny house for about a year in game!
here she is preg! I was so happy about it because its our gen 3 heir in there!
this is what the lot looked like after some remodeling
Here are some photos of tole before her death :, ( she was a super nice sim and was trainning to become a servant for the royal household but alas the great famine took her.
she even had the grim reaper crying over here. Because of her i made a graveyard
here is Isota just learning cross-sitiching, in the land of Prieta she will become a nanny/teacher for the royal children. She is currently in school for that.
And here are the last pictures of what my world looks like right now and how the lot looks like in 1318! The great famine is finally over!
Thank you for reading! I will post on my navigation the family tree and how it looks like right now!

Matilda of Hainaut (November 1293 – 1331), also known as Maud and Mahaut, was Princess of Achaea from 1316 to 1321. She was the only child of Isabella of Villehardouin and Florent of Hainaut, co-rulers of Achaea 1289–1297. After Florent's death in 1297, Isabella continued to rule alone until she remarried to Philip of Savoy in 1300. Per arrangements made with King Charles II of Naples, Isabella was not allowed to marry without his consent and after Philip failed to adequately participate in the king's campaigns against Epirus, Charles in 1307 revoked their rights to Achaea. Matilda, just fourteen years old, tried to press her claim as their heir but was refused by the bailiff Nicholas III of Saint Omer, who instead chose to wait for orders from Naples. Shortly thereafter, Charles appointed his favorite son, Philip of Taranto as the new Prince of Achaea.
Philip of Taranto spent little time in Greece and appointed as his bailiff Guy II de la Roche, Matilda's husband. Guy did not last long in this position, dying in 1308. Matilda was then betrothed by Philip of Taranto to his eldest son, Charles of Taranto. In 1313, this betrothal was broken off and Matilda was married to Louis of Burgundy as compensation to the House of Burgundy due to Philip of Taranto in the same year having married Catherine of Valois, previously betrothed to Hugh V, Duke of Burgundy. Philip of Taranto also renounced his rulership of Achaea and bestowed the Principality of Achaea on Matilda and Louis. Before they had travelled to their new domain, Achaea was seized in 1315 by the usurper Ferdinand of Majorca. Matilda and Louis landed in Achaea in early 1316 and secured control of the principality after the defeat and death of Ferdinand in the Battle of Manolada. Their co-rule did not last long; Louis died less than a month later, widowing Matilda for the second time.
The new king of Naples, Robert, wished to exploit Matilda's uncertain position to gain the principality back for his family. In 1317, he proposed that Matilda should marry his brother, John of Gravina. Matilda refused as she did not wish to enter into a third political marriage. In 1318, Robert's emissaries abducted the princess and brought her to Naples by force. She was forced to go through a marriage ceremony with John, but she refused to recognize him as her husband. In 1321, Matilda was dragged in front of Pope John XXII who ordered her to obey Robert and marry John, but she still refused. Matilda then confessed that she had secretly married the knight Hugh de la Palisse. No more attempts were made to marry her to John but Robert could now revoke Achaea from her control as she had married without his consent. Robert also fabricated a story that Hugh had made an attempt on his life, and that Matilda was his accomplice, and used this as an excuse to imprison the princess. Matilda spent the rest of her life as a prisoner, first in the Castel dell'Ovo in Naples and then in Aversa, where she died in 1331.

1325 - Family issues
Stone Family - England
Clementia and Isaac were over the moon with the two little guys and spent all the time with them, knitting and at the farm.
Clementia started the year pregnant again and she gave birth to a baby girl: Ellen Stone. Both mother and daughter were perfectly healthy after the labour :)
Driftwood Family (Tome's side) - Ireland
Kelly and Tome's relationship wasn't ideal... it became clear that they weren't in love anymore but even though Kelly became pregnant again during this year. Also, she aged up into a young adult :)
Bucket Family - Germany
The Bucket family keep growing more and more and it wasn't going to stop any time soon because Sophie was pregnant again.
This year, Veronica Bucket aged up into a child and Fabian Bucket aged up into an infant.
Veronica and Steffan couldn't stand each other: they were always fighting and yelling which really disturbed the family for a while.
Also, Sophie's pregnancy almost came to an end when she had nearly an abortion. Fortunately, the midwife came home just in time and she prescribed Sophie to stay in bed until the end of the pregnancy.
Zymmer Family (Ermel's side) - Spain
When Ermel ran away from Germany she arrived in Spain. Just when she landed she met a guy, Alberto García, who was in the same boat as her because he was visiting a relative in Germany. Alberto helped her a lot since she was a foreigner and soon they ended up falling in love :)
Also, Ermel aged up into a young adult :)
Zymmer Family - Germany
TW domestic violence, abuse
Margrite kept going to the Magic Realm with Erika to practice and improve her magic.
There she met Gemma Charm and they started to spend more time together.
One night, Gemma confessed her love for Margrite and they ended up kissing :)
One thing led to another and they ended up spending the whole night together. When Margrite arrived home, Rasmus was there and he abused her like never before...
She understood that the house weren't safe for her or Erika, so she took the little girl and went to the Magic Realm to Gemma's house. She was delighted when Minerva (Gemma's grandma) let them in.
Erika and Margrite spent there a few days and the whole Charm family were super nice to them. Eventually they were have to come back to Rasmus' house but for now, they were safe...

Third Level Society: First Version
Story Eleven: Peter Quora and Sophia Qalmers
Part One: Peter Quora
I will admit that I have always had a fascination with dymensional plane world-building and questing, though I never took my own interest seriously in that regard until I met Ivella Ogden in person. Even during my high school years, she was a long-time celebrity, remembered as the founder of the Third Level Society, the first Dungeonmaster of the organization, and a mentor to many subsequent Dungeonmasters, especially during the Ceri Mains crisis of 1281 and the Peter Crane crisis of 1282.
I graduated high school back in 1299, driven by my father at the time to enroll in the Three Points Academy to train as a Federal Reserve Officer. Candidates to that Academy each got only one lifetime chance to pass the Entrance Exam, which I failed. My father was disappointed in me but told me that I could still get into the Reserve Officer Training curriculum at Cabotton University, whose Entrance Exam allowed multiple attempts. I tried for this Program the following year, 1300, and failed. However, I tried again in 1301, and was accepted. And as all Cabotton University students in the Program were required, I enrolled as a Psychology major and was made to take their core classes.
So it seemed as if I was destined to leave behind my dymensional planecrafting interest in pursuit of the career path expected of my father. In one of those core Psychology classes, I became acquainted with a group of classmates who encouraged me to join the Third Level Society. I did so, initially intending this to be a hobby and extracurricular, but I was again immersed in the interest, particularly in the story of Ceri Mains. It was here where I began to question what was taught to me by my parents and teachers back in Gymia on the moral standing of darkfire. I had believed, initially that darkfire was dangerous and morally corrupt. But Ceri Mains' darkfire dymensional plane ideas and the ideas shared by the Finzi Community led me to begin questioning everything. At the end of it all, I wanted to put some of Mains' ideas to the test; I just did not have the time or resources.
So came Foundation Day for the Society, 13 September; and that year, they were marking its 68th Anniversary. Ivella Ogden showed up at the Podium of the Caucus Chamber and gave quite a speech of encouragement and inspiration. I felt suddenly compelled to seek her out and have a one-on-one conversation with her but was unable to do so. I found her contact on the OCEA platform and sent her a direct message about my feelings with my career versus my interests.
I did not expect her to respond, so when she did I was elated. She advised me to drop out of the Reserve Training Corps program, since that was only something my father wanted me to do, but told me to continue studying Psychology. She furthermore suggested I enrolled in the Hobbes School as a graduate student in the future to study Dymensional Planecrafting.
I did just that and never looked back. I finished my Psychology degree in 1305 and re-enrolled as a grad student. Usually a Master's study takes two years, but I took three years only because of the extra field work. I grew quite close with Ivella and the other world-building greats like Cray Fenton and Meona Bell. And in the spring of 1308, I went to the Basin District where I attended a lecture given by a representative of the Leyeasah Maritime Council, who claimed that the Universe we live in is, in fact, a Multi-verse consisting of multiple dimensions, very similar to our structure of dymensions for our world, and that those very well-trained in the craft can indulge in substances, particularly hallucinogens, and access the other dimensions within our Multi-verse.
I was, needless to say, very much fascinated by this, and wanted money and resources to put this concept to the test with dymensional planecrafting using a method suggested by Ceri Mains of creating a dymensional plane with algorithms made by special darkfire scripts. It was a method known as "darkfire-script-infusion," which involved inserting darkfire scripts into an algorithms book in order to create algorithms and edit existing ones in a controlled fashion. This method, in theory, would enhance both speed and quality of dymensional-plane world-building.
It was hard for me to be taken seriously when asking for funding. But Ivella Ogden stepped in and convinced Representative John Hartman, a deep sympathizer for Ogden, to work Basin District politics and give me the much-needed funding. And so, with cooperation from Holz Finzi, I assembled my project at the summit of Mount Carris and utilized scripts from a darkfire discharge to build and run a dymensional plane, which was done so successfully and lasted 7.12 seconds.
I was excited to continue with more testing, but there came politics. There was, of course, Kara Martins. But then there was also Ted Mundson, who was a passionate dymensional plane crafter but did not like the idea of darkfire assisting in the craft for fear of taking away a line of work for fellow planecrafters. He had convinced Cassandra North, a darkfire conjurer confined to the Mount Carris Perimeter, to oppose my project as well, as I remember.
I have come to understand Cassandra and her reasoning. She had been cast out by the North family, not only because of her lack of freedom of movement, thus her inability to attend family traditions, but because of the North family's resentment against darkfire. In fact, that was a very important factor triggering their feud with the Weynes thirty years ago. And Cassandra was in league with Ceri Mains, campaigning for the full legalization of darkfire and the opening of Mount Carris Perimeter to allow for freedom of movement.
But Cassandra also shared some sentiment with the remaining Norths, particularly with dymensional planecrafting. She actually agreed with them in their resentment, their belief that world-building apparently had "witchcraft" vibes. Though Cassandra did not insist that dymensionalism was morally wrong, she still believed that it was dangerous to "meddle with existing Multi-verse dimensions and their sub-dymensions." That alone was enough to undermine community confidence in my experiment, especially when it came to standing against Walter Scott Mason and the Knights of the Common Good. So my 1308 Project was done then and there. And so, as I thought, was my career.
But then Ivella Ogden intervened again.
Though she could not sway Cassandra North and her allies, she acquainted me with who would become a close friend of mine: Colin Madrey, hailing from Combria. She tasked me to mentor him in a new project to construct an inter-global dymensional plane linking each world being built by other emerging dymensional plane projects in the Lake Maern Reserve, ones spawned by Ogden herself, as well as links to the Arturian Realm for the Third Level Society. She gave us a deadline of November 15, 1311, and promised at the end a boost in funding, through someone apparently named Greycloak, for a repeat of the 1308 experiment.
It was during this new chapter in my life that Colin and I would achieve more than what was expected of us. By 1311, we decided that instead of doing a repetition of 1308, we would try to use darkfire-infusion in a controlled fashion to re-create the land and society of all of Remikra. That, of course, would require even more funding, which again was a struggle but Ivella obliged to help. I had been in awe of the work accomplished by Cray Fenton, thus the reason I wished to integrate everything to create a dymensional plane copy of Remikra. I had been getting partial funding through numerous donations at that point, with much thanks to Ivella, but I wanted to accomplish this feat. It was also at this point when I began having ambition to have built dymensional planes encompassing all of Circlaria and Ancondria as well.
All of this, of course, led struggles to attaining trust for public funding, which I so badly needed, but Ivella Ogden was with me all throughout. And it is thanks to her help that earlier this year, I finally got the full funding from Prime Minister Holz Finzi's Administration to begin the big Project in South Masonia.
It was interesting learning about her life today. She was born back in 1217, grew up in the present-day province of Ereautea, primarily in the town of the Three Points. She moved in with her granduncle, Merlin Kent Ogden, and observed him convening with future University Headmasters Tom Snow and Martin Cross in their 1231 Dymensional Plane Project. Ivella was given Merlin's house, 124 West Mason Street, upon Uncle Merlin's death in 1235; and Ivella was destined to obtain an education at neighboring Cabotton University, though she dropped out after her freshman year. Her cousin, Glenda Browen, convened with her to start a TableQuest business, which succeeded until the 1243 incident, which kicked off the agenda to found the Third Level Society.
That, I knew about. What I did not know was that she had previously been raised, like myself, to believe darkfire morally corrupt. But then she traveled to Mount Carris in 1237 to study Holz Finzi, who had fled there the previous year from institutionalization. It was the darkfire discharge incident of 1237 that led Ivella to begin questioning what she was taught and finally to realize that darkfire was a morally neutral force and one with more benefits than risk.
It was remarkable, then, her relationship with Daniel Orville Carter. Though she worked with him occasionally, she started the first of many "darkfire sanctuaries" in the years to come to serve as a safe space for those with Involuntary Darkfire Conjuration, winning against numerous lawsuits that came up over the years. She was also instrumental in getting Carter to agree to her darkfire stance following the 1281 Ceri Mains crisis. Then during the persecutions of the Darkfire Community that arose in 1308, Ivella relocated herself to within the Mount Carris Perimeter and collaborated with Finzi in carrying out what would be the 1309 Revolution.
My last time seeing her in person was at her speech for Foundation Day, 13 September, marking the 75th anniversary of the Third Level Society.
I write this, of course, because I have just been informed of Ivella Marie Ogden's passing earlier today. I will sorely miss her, without a doubt. But I know in my heart that she would want me to remain strong and carry on in my cause. So that I will do, in her memory.

Threads research (chapter 13)
As I work on Threads of Fate (think historical romance novel meets Ghost fanfic, set 1312-1318), I'm publishing the research I do for each chapter here
Caveat: I am not a historian, just a nerd.
Spoilers for Chapter 13 below the cut
The like Real History bits
While Isabel, Secondo, and the whole Ministry is obviously very made up, many of the events causing them to go to Varberg were very real.
Queen Isabel was the sister of Robert the Bruce who married a king of Norway. They did have a daughter together named Ingeborg. After Queen Isabel's husband died, the throne of Norway passed to his brother. This king also had a daughter named Ingeborg (named after the former, her cousin). These two Ingeborgs married the two brothers of the Swedish king.
In December of 1317 the king of Sweden invited his brothers to a banquet where he captured and imprisoned them. Eventually they starved to death. Sweden (I've struggled a bit to figure out exactly who was involved, but think more nobles than peasants) was not a fan of this and the king was ousted later in 1318. This caused the younger Ingeborg's son, Magnus (aged ~3), to become king, though his mother and aunt remained part of his regency government.
Varberg
So, from what I can tell, we do not actually have historical evidence for the Duchesses Ingeborg gathering at Varberg in March of 1318. We have evidence for them both being in Kalmar on April 16th to sign a treaty, but I couldn't find evidence for their locations before that. Thus ~artistic license~ says that they met up at Varberg.
Varberg is located in a strategic spot between Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. Indeed, it changed hands between the 3 kingdoms several times in the early 14th century. I did see mentions of Ingeborg, Duchess of Södermanland residing there (though again, whether that was before or after (or both) the meeting at Kalmar I'm uncertain)
As the fortress was heavily modified throughout the centuries, it's hard to fully understand the medieval layout. Below is a interpretation of what it may have looked like around the time that Threads is set. It's largely what I'm basing it on as I write.
Fashion
I've been finding the early 1300s a real challenge to research in regards to fashion. Most sources seem to hold that "fashion" itself started around 1330 or more towards the middle of the century. And, of course, there were many styles that people chose to wear. So while veils and other cloth head coverings were a thing, some of the fun medieval hats were starting to emerge.
Crispinette this fantastic post, and this were my sources. Which, if they are to be believed and the fashion reached England with Queen Isabella, she married Edward in 1308. So, by 1318 we can assume that it might have reached Scotland and Mary could be wearing it.

The Beguinage – Bruge, Belgium
At the risk of being redundant, once again I chose the Beguinage for this project because it was one of the few options on the list I got to see. Out of all 5 of these places, I would say it might have been the most enjoyable place to visit! The Beguines were women who did not take vows but lived apart as religious women who could also have normal working lives. The Catholic church was wary of the Beguines, though most events relevant to them took place in the 1300s, well before the start of the Reformation. Perhaps they were a precursor to it. For example, Marguerite Porete wrote a book called The Mirror of Simple Souls, a book full of mysticism. She was eventually burned at the stake. In 1312 the pope condemned the Beguines. But in 1318, they were allowed to practice their ways again, as long as they simmered their teachings down a bit. The Beguinage in Bruge was beautiful, with white houses, a field of daffodils, and tall trees. I loved it. I think I was not anticipating it to be so lovely!

1320 - A new Generation starts
Driftwood Family - England
Martha & Elias Driftwood both aged up into children at the beginning of the year which enhanced their personalities: Martha used to be more selfish around most people (she always made an exception for Clementia, Isaac and Aubray), and Elias loved to be alone most of the time (or with Payne).
Clementia and Isaac spent everyday together at the market, and soon they both realized they were starting to fall in love. One afternoon, Clementia confessed her feelings to Isaac and dare to kiss him! And it was pretty obvious that he felt the same way :)
They started dating and Clementia told Tally about him. She knew that it was only a matter of time that Isaac propose and she wanted Tally to know about everything. In that moment, Tally told her that the house where they were living at the moment was half of Clementia's dowry because it belonged to Clarice and Henry and she was their only daughter alive. Clementia couldn't believe what she was hearing... but that wasn't all.
Tally told her about the deal he made with the witch and how worried he was for Joyse and Aubray's well-being. He felt so bad for doing that... but he wanted to ensure that everyone survived the famine. Clementia understood everything and was even more grateful than ever for Tally, who was her real father for her.
The next morning, Isaac met Clementia at the woods and there was where he proposed to her. He wanted everything with her: a house, a farm, kids... a life together.
At the end of the year, they both get married. It was a beautiful evening and Tally announced that the whole family would be moving to Ireland where Tally had his childhood house. He didn't told anyone, but Clementia knew that they were moving as far as they could from the witch.
When the wedding ended, it was time for good-byes...
Isaac & Clementia Stone Wedding, 1320.
Zymmer Family - Germany
Back with the Zymmer family, the little one of the family, Ermel Zymmer, aged up into a gorgeous teen.
But the main character of this family were her older sister, Margrite Zymmer. She had always been really self-assured and independant, she didn't really need anyone else but herself.
She started researching the misteries of the woods... she loved plants and she believed that they were the cure for so many illnesses and pains.
One winter night, she was walking through the woods when she found a misterious gate with so many colors.
And... she decided to go in and explore.
What she found didn't have any name... it was a beautiful building, the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.
She came inside and she met Simeon Silversweater. He explained what this place was:
Margrite was at the Magic Realm, in the magic school where all the spellcasters learn to use the powers they were given or born with. He also said that it was rare that a human girl encountered the portal just by herself, but he also said that it only appeared to people who really deserved the power of magic.
After speaking with Margrite, Simeon came to the conclusion that she indeed loved plants and wanted to make a better world using them. So he agreed to give her the power of magic so she can start learning how to make potions.

I liked the color symmetry of the original chart stitch model, but wanted to show the variety of colors you’d find in a tackle box. The colors marked with a strikethrough below are the chart colors I didn’t use. Colors marked with an asterisk are the ones I added.
Since there was a lot of color already, I left the bubbles and sparkles unfilled.
