I don't want to check on the standings just yet, but is it true that every other team in the Metro division keeps on winning? I think that's an exaggeration given the Pens' struggles with all these injuries. Plus all these people saying the Metro teams are unbeatable, are they also aware that streaks are going to hit every team, no matter how good they're playing?
So this is the current streaks of the Metro and their last 10games played as of Jan 13th. On Any Given Day

Nailers Start Division Final Friday Against Walleye
Both Teams Have Time to Rest Following Quick-First Round Wins The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced their schedule for the Central Division Final Round of the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Nailers will face the Toledo Walleye in a best-of-seven series, which begins on Friday night at Huntington Center. The Nailers defeated the Indy Fuel in five games during the opening round of the postseason, marking their second playoff series win in the last three seasons. Wheeling dropped the opening match, 5-2, before rattling off four straight victories, with scores of 7-1, 3-2 (OT), 3-0, and 4-2. That followed a 38-28-4-1 regular season, which was good for 81 points. The Walleye also made quick work of their opposition in round one, as they swept the Kalamazoo Wings in four games, winning 3-2, 5-2, 6-2, and 4-2. Toledo won the regular season division title with a 48-14-4-5 mark, good for 105 points, and has now won a playoff series in each of its last five postseason appearances. Despite being division rivals, head-to-head meetings were a rarity in 2023-24, as Wheeling and Toledo only collided four times, and three of those tilts took place before the turn of the calendar year. Each team earned one victory in each building. The Nailers were victorious 6-5 at Huntington Center on November 15th and 4-2 on home ice exactly one week later. The Walleye won 3-2 at WesBanco Arena on December 1st and 3-2 at home on March 29th. Three players on the current rosters were tied for the lead in the season series with five points - Brandon Kruse and Brandon Hawkins of Toledo, as well as Wheeling's David Jankowski. Kruse's four goals were the most, while Jankowski and Matt Koopman both lit the lamp twice for the Nailers. Jan Bednar took the crease in three of the four games for the Walleye, and went 2-0-1, while Wheeling used three different goaltenders, with Taylor Gauthier going 1-1-0. There has been plenty of playoff history between these two cities, as this will be the seventh ECHL postseason clash between Nail City and the Glass City, dating back to the Thunderbirds and the Storm. Toledo has won five of the prior six, including two in the Walleye era in 2015 and 2022. Wheeling's lone series triumph came in the second round of the 1998 Kelly Cup Playoffs, under the guidance of current New York Rangers Head Coach Peter Laviolette. This is by far the opponent that the Nailers have faced the most in postseason play, with the next closest teams being Reading and South Carolina with three series each. The 2024 Central Division Final Series between the Wheeling Nailers and Toledo Walleye will begin at Huntington Center on Friday and Saturday. The series will then shift to WesBanco Arena for games three, four, and five (if necessary) on May 8th, 10th, and 11th. Games six and seven will be played in Toledo, if necessary. All home games will begin at 7:10. To purchase tickets for the playoffs or for any questions or concerns about ticketing, please visit wheelingnailers.com or call (304) 234-GOAL. The Wheeling Nailers, considered one of the top things to do in Wheeling, West Virginia, provide affordable family entertainment for fans throughout the Ohio Valley. it’s definitely fitness, he hasn’t played regularly for the past year, and then played a lot of games in a row, he needs to be able to gain fitness before playing, United really need to be careful when he is back so they don’t rush and he gets injured again. And ten hag also needs to learn how to rotate players, you can’t have players playing 10games in a row. I think in the summer united do need a clear out and they need to bring in players that are similar to their starting 11, their squad is a mess right now because the players are all from periods of different managers and styles of play so no one is compatible to each other. Ten hag likes to play possession based football, and their is a clear reason why he wanted certain players like mason, Martinez, hojlund, mainoo, dalot, Garnacho, shaw, these players all compliment each other and have the ability to play in the system ten hag wants, but a lot of the others done have those qualities.

Bud Black encouraged by Rockies' offense during 10-game road trip
Bud Black encouraged by Rockies’ offense during 10-game road trip
The big boys in the National League West — the Giants, Dodgers and Padres — are going to slug it out for the division title over the final two months of the season. The rebuilding Rockies, meanwhile, are hunting for little victories. Such was the case during their 4-6 road trip that ended Sunday with an 8-1 loss at San Diego. For a team that entered the trip with a 9-34 road record, it was a…

Digimon Ghost Game Review: Episode 10
Game of Death
While trying to meet the mysterious and beautiful character in an online fighting game, Kotaro disappears. Despite his own fears, Kiyoshiro is persuaded to play the game in order to save Hiro’s friend.
Sorry this is so late. The last week and a half have been crazy-busy, so it’s taken me a while to do the write-up even though I watched the episode soon after release. This review is basically me talking about how much I love Kiyoshiro and Jellymon. You have been warned!
I wasn’t actually expecting a Jellymon evolution episode, but it was a really pleasant surprise and felt absolutely right. Kiyoshiro and Jellymon’s relationship has been shifting ever so slightly since their first introduction and TeslaJellymon reflected the evolution of their bond.
Characters
This episode was all about Kiyoshiro and Jellymon and their bond as partners. Just what you want from an evolution episode!
We know that while Kiyoshiro can be a bit of a coward, he also has a strong sense of duty. It’s not a surprise that he’s had quite a few comparisons to Jo from Adventure, who also pushed himself to be a leader as the oldest. However, unlike Jo at the start of Adventure, Kiyoshiro is fairly capable; but his fear tends to hold him back. What makes him admirable, and not just comic relief, is that he knows his weakness and wants to do better. Luckily he has the perfect partner to help him.
Jellymon, who loves learning new things, enjoys pushing Kiyoshiro out of his comfort zone. While I can see how this might get interpreted as bullying, especially in early episodes, Jellymon never abandons him to deal with his fears alone. She may enjoy watching him freak out, but she is also there just in case it all gets a bit too much.
Despite the threat to her own existence (we still don’t know if Digimon can be reborn in this universe), she is far more concerned when Kiyoshiro is put in danger than her own life. It contrasts nicely with her plan to just run away in episode 5 as soon as things get tough. I love the moment when she calls him by his full name – again, a contrast to all the other characters who have given him nicknames or otherwise because it’s so long and complicated. He also drops the “sama” honorific. Will be interesting to see if that’s a permanent change or if we’ll only see him drop it in certain situations.
These two have such a good partnership that the evolution to TeslaJellymon feels well-deserved. Their combined feelings give them the strength for the power up, which I am always a sucker for in Digimon (and greatly missed in Adventure:)
Although I expected Angoramon to evolve next because of the intro, this order actually makes a lot of sense given Ruli and Angoramon have felt a bit more distant in their relationship than Kiyoshiro and Jellymon. Hopefully the next episode will rectify that a little.
Worldbuilding
Looks like we finally get to see Kiyoshiro’s in-between world! I should’ve guessed it would be something digitised given his interests in hacking and gaming.
Also looks like Bokomon and Bakamon will become recurring characters, at least for this arc. I’m enjoying their roles so far, so don’t mind the idea of seeing them more going forward.

Wheeling Nailers Open Playoffs Friday Against Fuel
The Wheeling Nailers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, have announced their schedule for the Central Division Semifinal Round of the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Nailers will face the Indy Fuel in a best-of-seven series, which begins on Friday night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. This is Wheeling's second trip to the postseason in the last three years, as the Nailers posted a 38-28-4-1 record, good for 81 points. It is the first time that Wheeling has earned at least 80 points in a season since 2015-16, when the team reached the Kelly Cup Final. The Nailers rode a three-game winning streak and five-game point streak to their third place position in the Central Division, and officially punched their ticket with a 6-0 win over Cincinnati on Saturday night. The opposition for round one is the second place Indy Fuel, who finished with a 39-25-6-2 record, good for 86 points. This is Indy's second straight trip to the playoffs and third in the last four years. There is plenty of familiarity for these two division rivals, as the 11 head-to-head meetings during the 2023-24 regular season were the most for Wheeling against any opponent. Indy got the upper hand 8-3 in the season series, which saw three overtime clashes and three additional games decided by one goal. The Nailers collected two of their three victories at WesBanco Arena, while the Fuel held serve by winning five of six tilts at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The top points producer in the season series was Indy's Bryan Lemos, who had 15 points. His teammate, Kyle Maksimovich, was the leading goal scorer with seven. Wheeling was led by Jordan Frasca, who racked up 11 points, despite missing three games in the set. Mitchell Weeks of the Fuel had the most success between the pipes, as he went 5-1-1 in seven starts, while Taylor Gauthier was responsible for two of the three wins by the Nailers. This will be the first ever playoff series between Wheeling and Indy. The Nailers began play in 1992 as the Thunderbirds, when the team relocated from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This is Wheeling's 16th postseason appearance in 32 seasons. The Fuel joined the ECHL in 2014 to continue a long tradition of hockey in Indianapolis. This is the fourth time that the Kelly Cup Playoffs will feature Indy in ten seasons. Once the series begins, the Nailers will have played in at least one playoff series against every current Central Division club except for Iowa. The 2024 Central Division Semifinal Series between the Wheeling Nailers and Indy Fuel will begin at Indiana Farmers Coliseum on Friday and Saturday. The series will then shift to WesBanco Arena for games three and four on April 22nd and 23rd. If a fifth game is necessary, that game will be played on April 27th at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry, Pennsylvania. Games six and seven will be played in Indy, if necessary. All home games will begin at 7:10. One additional schedule note: The game originally scheduled for Friday, April 12th between the Wheeling Nailers and Toledo Walleye has been canceled, due to all playoff spots and seedings being solidified. Fans who had tickets for the April 12th game will receive a refund via the method of their original purchase. For all ticketing questions or concerns regarding both regular season and playoff games, please call the Nailers office at (304) 234-4625.
