13. worst blorbofication

HONESTLY doctor who is kinda the blorbofication show. i cant get mad at people for being happy when their little guy shows up after like 20 years because im also happy my little guy showed up after 20 years. I think I do have to say 10 though SIMPLY BECAUSE like he has been in every piece of doctor who content for the last 10 years and fans will still act like they're starving for scraps of david tennant. go listen to audio dramas hes in so many. read the novels. be free.

Also with GO sparking a revised interest in dw solely for david tennant and his era im like...ok if you're only here for him maybe this isn't the show for you. His era is good but there is SO MUCH MORE! EXPLORE! BE FREE!

21. part of canon you think is overhyped

if you asked me this question like 5 years ago i would have said 11 era but now i think he isn't hyped enough. CRAZY how fandom turns around like that.

ig other than what i said above abt 10 era (which AGAIN i can't really complain about because it is in fact good just a little culturally oversaturated at the moment). I think its common to assume that everyone will like dw from season 1 of the reboot but it was in fact a show from 2005 and that can turn some people off. I don't think it's an issue of overhype per se but people really talk up s1 to new fans without recognizing that for modern audiences who are used to modern "prestige" TV it can be difficult for them to get into. If someone's planning to watch all of nuwho absolutely show them s1 they should watch it from there. If I'm just trying to show someone why I love this show I will generally start them from The Pilot in s10, and I generally think s10 is a better intro for modern audiences than s1. Then if they like it or the whole season i recommend they go back to s1. Not really an answer to that question i guess though. lol
