vanya was familiar with the medical wing of the estate. he was prone to getting into fights, whether those be because of his job or for entertainment, and although vanya could hold his own in a brawl, anyone with even a little bit more skill and finesse could manage to take him down. and take him down they did, a savage soldier splitting vanya’s forehead open on the concrete floor after the man managed to take them down; it had started with just a little bit of bad-mouthing of vanya’s boss, and when the man stood up for the family he was loyal to, it had landed him in the hospital wing, forehead bleeding profusely and mental capacities just a little bit off. it’s why, once he sees a man that looks like a hotter version of alyosha, vanya immediately throws his legs from the cot, trying to stand up and falling into a heart rate monitor.  ❝ i’m fine. ❞ he mumbled, taking a moment to steady himself. it’s an overreaction, because he knows the new medic cannot be his alyosha, but just seeing the man’s face, so similar to the one he had burning in the back of his eyelids making him want to vomit-------- or, perhaps, it was just the concussion. ❝ i’m peachy, i just need to wipe off the blood and sleep a lil’. ❞ ( @dysfcnctional )
