I have 3, my sibling has 1. That is already 4 Tsum Tsum. I just ordered 2 yesterday(1 for me and 1 for sib). After those two get there I want to buy 2 to 4 more just of the RE collection.

Then, Capcom has an Ace Attorney Tsum Tsum collection, which I want to order 6 of(3 for me, 3 for sib).

That’s not counting all the ones I want to make(Alex Wesker, Carlos Olivera, the SPG gang, my sibling’s OCs, detective Gumshoe, ect).

I think we talked about this over on ao3 but honestly re2r's ada just doesn't make sense to me. The FBI cover is logical (when you first think about it), but the way she's immediately pulling a gun on Annette the minute they see her and DECLARING her intentions isn't. She then proceeds to reveal her target is Annette, and then her going with the FBI thing becomes less logical, bc why would Annette hand over the G-Virus sample to the feds, either? It's entirely a shock factor thing revolved around Leon, she's only fooling him -- or maybe, she's fooled Ben like this, too, and was forced to stick to her cover when shit went down, we don't know 😭 why did they do my girl ada like that... (ngl re4r ada supremacy. period.)

But either way, un-truths she would throw as a bone to a "civilian" like Leon would of course be caught by Vera, nugget by nugget, while still making her think "mayhaps the FBI is misinformed????" -- I didn't want to ruin that fine line by Ada going on about Annette making the virus and her being the most dangerous of all "g-virus g-virus g-virus" or whatever because 1) WHY WOULD A SPY DO THAT???? 2) it would surely make Vera go "yeah NOPE" 💀💀

I do mention it in the fic that Vera supplies information to Jill (as around that time she's trying to get rid of the weight of all she knows and trying to pass on the "hero's job" to someone else) and they exchange their findings while trying to be careful not to get caught by ppl Umbrella put on Jill's tail. I think I wrote it in passing that Vera was disguised as a secretary and sat back-to-back with Jill on a booth in one of those occasions? She's loosely connected to re3r by having a brief appearance in carlos' police station section in my head, entrusting Jill to him and all and promising to meet up with them in the station once she talks to her dad about it ☹

How RE Village (8) SOLVED almost every problem that I had with RE Series

Okay - a few weeks ago I made a post that was “The ones that suffer the most” where I showed and explained my main problems with Chris and Jill and the RE series in general 

RE 1 is my fav game of this series and probably one of my all time favs, I player every RE there is to be played except 4 (because I dislike Leon, sry) 

Recently, specially after 4, the franchise had a few problems, specially in writing/map design/lore 

Resident evil 5 for example (I love this game) but it has it flaws, Chris there is only driven by anger and action - Sheva is used as a tool for lore exposition and to be Chris’s new partner 

PLEASE: be aware that game at that generation didn’t have much lore - with some exceptions, like God of War 1 2 3 were a simply game with a simple lore, and the most recent GoW has evolved a little bit in the storytelling

Until we hit rock bottom in RE6 - I know a lot of people like this game, but this is only and action game, bad writing and generic stages. 

Chris there is so mistreated that makes me mad (if you want to read more about this go to my other post “the ones that suffer the most”)

Until RE7 appeared, Capcom had a new engine and they wanted to do a game that was more horror like - since RE is know for being a Survival horror game.

I liked 7 - some people complained about Ethan being without emotion and others complained about the mold, a few didn’t like the FEAR vibes from Eveline. 

I personally enjoyed the game, I thought RE series was going back on track, that game has it’s problems but it was really nice compared to what we had in 6.

After that game I had a conversation with my best friend and I said that I wanted a game that portrayed Umbrella’s fall since the only game that shows this is Umbrellas Chronicles (and that is most a resume of what happened)

And I said: “Bro, I wish that when they made that game, they could tie some mythological lore and human evolution before Umbrella - using Spencer, this would solve LOT OF STUFF and open new ways to handle this series”

and guess what - this happened in RE8 and kudos to the one writer that did that, i have my gratitude. 

RESIDENT EVIL 8 is probably one of the BEST RE games that we had IN YEARS

And I want to address all thing that I loved in this game and do some predictions to what will happen in the next games.

“WELL WELL IF IT ISN’T ETHAN WINTERS” (The Father of the year)

My father was not a great guy... really, so I want to be the best dad ever, I really want be like Ethan - a guy who is ready to sacrifice and fight every monster in the way to save my family. 

Ethan was a character that in RE7 was used to make us fell like that it was us in the Baker’s house, so that is why he didn’t had that much personality (in my opinion) but they changed that in RE8, here he has nice dialogues AND a diary 

He has one of the best story line in the whole REverse, a guy that did EVERYTHING in his power to save his daughter - and you saw that playing the game, every sentence line that he delivered, he tried to save others too and even tho Chris said to him stay put ... but he couldn’t, he had to go to the altar, he had to help Chris, he had to go forward and keep going, specially after having the tools to face Heisenberg. 

The plea from a father, that was his last wish, after he heard that Mia was alive he knew that someone had to stop that monster, he made a promise to his daughter “Daddy won’t let those weird fairy tale monsters get you” so he trusted Chris, to be the one that teaches his kid how to be brave and strong

I will not address Chris and Rose situation here because this is Ethans part and he deserves completely all the spotlight, his sacrifice was 100x times better than Steve (CV)/Piers(6)

Revelations -> RE8 

So leaks from earlier times said that RE8 sucked and Revelations 3 was amazing

Revelations FYI is know for using old tales in RE stories 

Revelations 1 - Dante’s Inferno 

Revelations 2 - Frans Kafka 

Revelations 3 - Dracula 

But since RE8 sucked, Capcom said to the REV3 team that they could make REV3 become RE8 and they accepted 

Revelations series is one of the best in the games, they handle Jill in a way that I love, Claire and even Barry - so they deserve all the spotlight for making this awesome game - you CLEARLY can see that they love this series and that they treat all the characters with the love that they deserve. 

Keeping that in mind, they are the same team that made Rev 2 and in REV 2 we have this file here 

So they had a plan for Jill and we can see that in RE8 - I will address that later but keep that in mind - this team cares for the old characters, they were the ones that brought Barry back to the games :V 

Chris Redfield 

This is a hard one, because he is my fav character and I usually have the most critics regard him, since I’ve expect a lot from Capcom 

In the latest games they made him kind dumb, only muscles type of guy and an alcoholic that let all the people in his surroundings die (RE5,RE6,Vendetta) 

RE6 treats him the WORST

But in RE8 he had an amazing part in the storyline, it was obvious that he wasn’t evil and they FIXED HIS EYE COLOR - FINALLY 

I still don’t like the model face that much but it’s way better than 7 - so I believe Capcom, I still feel that he need more jawline 

But let’s go to the most important thing - here he really feels like a squad leader and a veteran, he has his team but he is the one in the front line, he covers and ask for help when he needs, everything about his line delivery makes you feel like “Woah, this guy is a badass, he is not some stupid guy only driven by emotions”

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FINALLY GETTING THIS RIGHT 

If you remember my post about the ones that suffer the most / Jill is also in that list and I will talk about her a little bit later but if my guess is right RE8 saved her character aswell

Another thing that I enjoyed here is the fact that he is kind of a mercenary / Neo Umbrella kind of guy, even tho he is one of the founders of the BSAA

So I will give you all my score to this game: 

9/10

I won’t give 10/10 because of some technical issues, the cursor lock didn’t work and mouse sensitivity was i dunno, not the best. 

RE8 and the future (PREDICTIONS)  - Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, BSAA, Neo Umbrella, Ada Wong and Rosemary

First let’s look Rose

The first time I saw Rose all grown up - I thought to myself : She has the same problem as Eveline (age a lot faster than normal) 

But she also absorbed Miranda’s power since the metalicite (something like this) thought that she was a better host. - so maybe she will live longer or something because I doubt that they will do a 14 years time skip. 

This is not the same as Terra Save logo (Claire’s job) but it kind reminds me of it - her shoes appeared at least 3 times in this cut scene so maybe they are trying to show some hints with this 

She really reminds me of Jodie (Beyond two souls, a game where a girl has a lot of power and the gov uses her in missions and stuff, but she also is learning how to be her own person) 

Another thing here is that they don’t have a logo in this car, it really reminds me the car that Chris as using in RE8 

This supports the theory that Chris’s organization is dealing with her instead of the BSAA, the she is a hot headed girl and that she had a lot of powers. 

So here you can say that she is just a kid because she is a teenager, but what if she actually grows older really fast (like Eveline) maybe this is just 1 year later / 2 yrs later. (after RE8)

So this is the tricky part, this is Chris’s guard/soldier, someone that Chris trust to stand by her side, in my mind I do believe that Chris is kind of a father figure to her, so when this guys says this he is thinking about hot head Chris but she replies “Yeah” thinking about Ethan - (she has the mold memories, so she can actually remember Ethan’s memories) 

Now let’s look at this 

BSAA 

So in REV1 is hinted that BSAA is not the best organization in the world, but since our heroes work there we think that they are the good guys right ? 

In REV 2 (it’s important to remember that the team that created RE8 is the same from the REVELATIONS and they had this file here in REV2)

This email is from Jill and what does Jill have ? T-Virus 

Wesker is a different case since he was a project and she had the vaccine but this would make a lot of sense if they had this tests with Jill to get the T-Virus

If that is the case, they explained Jill’s absence in the main games, could even explain why Chris left BSAA and opened a new window to a lot of possibilities 

My Predictions: 

- Chris had trouble dealing with BSAA and Jill’s case, he wanted to get her out of there, maybe he removed her from there but that resulted in him being expelled from the force

-Jill may or may not know what they are doing with her blood, but she will have a huge part in the BOW used by BSAA 

-Chris is married to Jill (sorry- I had to place this here, in a perfect world he has two kids with her and they all love aunt Rose) 

-Chris will hopefully be a father figure to Rose and they will be in a game together since in the end they came to get her

-Rebecca is still involved in BSAA activities (leak from new REV3) if you consider Vendetta canon, she maybe the one that used Jill’s sample of blood to create the virus soldiers

-Barry maybe retired 

-I don’t think Leon will be in this game, but he will get his RE4 Rmk 

- I do believe RE9 will be release after Code veronica rmk and MAYBE they will do a game about Umbrella’s Fall (Chris and Jill in Europe against Red Queen and BOWs) 

But that is it, you can see a lot of elements from old RE games in RE8, they tried to do something really smart and the game felt amazing to play, that was something else and it’s been a while since a player a RE game that made me feel that way <3

This is a what if situation for the first two Resident Evil movies. Okay this is maybe gonna be a long intro. But I don’t want it to be so I’m gonna explain some stuff. Honestly the Resident Evil movies have their place in history. Now we are getting a reboot that’s gonna be more closer to the games roots. It’s just interesting to look back at those older films.

I did like that first film despite some stuff. But as the films went on they became more disappointing and just should of been better game adaptions. It even could of been an average franchise that wasn’t that disappointing but it happened anyway. 

I’ve been thinking about making this. But I have wondered about making this a trilogy with either the third being a Code Veronica adaption or Resident Evil 4 adaption. But I’m just gonna stick with the first two the 2002 film and Resident Evil Apocalypse. Basically my what if situation here is changing the story up a bit to be a bit more accurate to the games. While the movies are a loose adaption of the games yet more respectable to the source material. While also they are their own thing. Also keeping the same actors or most of them because I honestly don’t mind the casting of these films. It’s also the fact I don’t know much of these actors and again I don’t mind the casting choices. Because there are some I like.

Mostly in a way I imagine films like these to be around in the 34%(just like that first film) to a 45% or 49% or 50% on Rotten Tomatoes. Mainly with Apocalypse being the weaker film.

So here I go. Basically here’s my reworking and what if for the first two Resident Evil films.

Resident Evil 2002.

Story: An elite task force known as S.T.A.R.S. is sent to investigate the outskirts of Raccoon City near a mansion after a series of bizarre murders. The team consists of Jill Valentine(Sienna Guillory), Chris Redfield(Wentworth Miller), and Albert Wesker(Jason O’Mara) are sent out. But things start to go out of control as they become trapped in a mansion. Finding out there is more to it than it seems. Along with finding a amnesic woman named Alice(Milla Jovovich), and a team of commandos sent by the Umbrella corporation to investigate the mansion as well. Featuring their leader named Hunk(Collin Salmon), Rain(Michelle Rodriguez) and others.

Now all trapped in this mansion. Against a onslaught of zombies and other monsters. They must work together as they try to survive and escape the mansion. Along the way they discover more of who is behind the scenes of what’s going on.

Fun note: I discovered Jason Isaacs was the narrator and a cameo of William Birkin in the first film. But he couldn’t make into playing the character in the 2nd film. Was thinking of adding him in the 2nd film. But I think I’m fine. I just find that cool he was in the first film some how.

A possible score for this movie on RT would be 45% or just 50% or around that frame if it was handled with the right amount of care and I would of liked that.

Resident Evil 2 Apocalypse.

Story: It’s been two months since the mansion incident. With the chief of police not believing their story, Chris going to Europe to investigate Umbrella headquarters, and others like Alice, Hunk, and even Wesker missing. Jill(Sienna Guillory) is some what alone as the T-Virus now spreads into Raccoon City.

Yet now accompanied by her new partner Leon Kennedy(Jake Gyllenhaal), a rookie cop on his first day, and Chris’s younger sister Claire(Ali Larter) must stick together to survive the destruction of Raccoon City and all of the zombies and monsters.

Along the way meeting members of UBCS such as Carlos Oliveria(Oded Fehr) and Nicholai Ginovaef(Zack Ward), and even a mysterious woman named Ada Wong(Li Bingbing). But more trouble ensures when a B.O.W. named Nemesis begins to stalk them and try to kill anyone from S.T.A.R.S. or anyone connected to them. Along with Nicolai and Ada having other plans for their own sake.

During all of this, they find a girl named Sherry Birkin(Sophie Vavasseur) and they discover that her father William Birkin(Iain Glen) may of had a hand creating the virus and also a new one.

Fun note: This was interesting to find out and it turns out it’s a easter egg in a way. Screen Gems made a promotional faux newspaper detailing that Leon was Jill’s partner until he was killed by monsters. It’s something I found out on the Resident Evil wiki I think and wanted to look back at it. 

So I decided to use that easter egg as a idea for this loose adaption that mixes both Resident Evil 2, and 3 into one story. With Leon being Jill’s new partner in this. It seemed weirdly natural in a way.

Also the fact when I typed this. Including when I think about Resident Evil Apocalypse unless it was written better or whatever. It seemed like there were too many characters in that film. Including seeing this I do feel this seems a bit much unless it was handled well. Yet it’s possible William’s G form might not be included. Unless it’s some how in the end but that would be disrespecting the source material so maybe leave it in that third film. With Nemesis, who is no longer a tragic villain and now just simply a imposing antagonist sent by Umbrella. Along with Nicolai as a secondary antagonist. Just like his role of Nikolai in the third game. Despite the movie version is younger and has a different name, mainly Nikolai is spelt differently and the last name is different.

Along with the fun possibility of maybe Nemesis and his overcoat being Mr. X’s in a similar way a costume for Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite has for Nemesis. Or Mr. X could be another monster that’s not important. But I don’t know if that would bring justice to Mr. X on film. Besides I loved Nemesis’s design in Apocalypse so we might just stick with that.

But yeah a possible score for this movie could be 39% or so. Mainly in that 30′s range and I’m being nice about that. Basically meaning it’s not better than the first film but it’s alright. 

Well that took a bit. But yeah I’m done with that. Tell me your thoughts and I’m thinking about it. I could do a third but I don’t know if I want to unless I feel inspired. Besides we are getting a reboot that’s more faithful to the games and I’m excited about that. Especially again the RE movies have their place. I’m amazed there are 6. They should of been better, and luckily we are getting a reboot that hopefully is better.

Resident Evil Apocalypse

I’ve just watched the film, and the credits are on...despite my thoughts on the film, I’m loving the music in the credits. It’s Killswitch Engage that’s playing.

Back to talking about the movie. Honestly despite I was impressed or just the fact I liked the first one. This 2nd one.....I’m gonna try to make sense of what I’m about to say. But I was thinking when watching this movie, I don’t think I might be interested in seeing the rest of the movies. 

This isn’t gonna be a full on review. I will say some of the things I liked. As a fan of the franchise, I honestly dug the attention to detail with some of the costumes and other things. Including I did think Jill, Carlos, and Nemesis were cool in there own right. Also the CGI seriously improved. The other things I liked just like the last film was the Lickers and dogs. Finally I wanna say L.J. I thought was funny, I loved that, “GTA” moment from the film. Okay one other thing I loved listening to the soundtrack in the credits, yet it was short anyway. Probably because of the low budget or whatever.

But really though, I feel like this film should of been better. Especially maybe longer, but if it was better, I would not mind it if it was longer. Because it’s a poorly made film, you want it to be done with. 

The point is I didn’t like it as much as that first film. I’ve now changed the channel to MTVHD with Ridiculousness. I’m sorry to ramble on, yet seriously I had problems with the film.

I feel like considering it’s a loose adaption of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis. It should of been a better loose adaption. I kept thinking this but it should of been more cohesive, and there was well no development. The film goes quite quick. Basically no time is given to a lot of characters. While okay there are moments. Yet again it’s nothing spectacular. 

Because what I appreciated about the first film was this build up towards the stuff. I will agree with @simonxriley the action does really start off quickly. Again it goes too quick, and I don’t wanna say there are too many characters. It just should of been better.

You know bothers me, and I wanted to tell @rompstompchomp this but I had forgotten. I do like the casting choices these films have made. Even though I’ll admit I don’t know a lot of the actors. But I feel with the first film and just I’m gonna sound stupid but Resident Evil fans won’t think this is stupid.

Having Alice as the main character was a mistake. There are also other things that are wrong with these films. Seriously to me I wouldn’t mind if this film wasn’t perfect. The first film was a 34% on Rotten Tomatoes, and really I wouldn’t mind if this franchise was just okay. If you put some more effort into them, and focus on the characters we wanted more. Especially development and just something more cohesive, it could of been better. It might be okay if you have to work with a low budget.

But instead we get a series of films that has elements from the games which is cool, but they aren’t expanded upon, and characters aren’t shown the proper respect.

I did have an idea of what if a Resident Evil movie where it combines the stories of Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3. But I think that would be too much because those two are there own stories. I’m just saying the idea would of made an adaption okay not easier, but two films focusing on Raccoon City might be bothersome. Even though you get two different angles. One from Leon and Claire’s, and one from Jill’s.

We could of and should of gotten a film franchise based upon a series of video games I do. Where characters like Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Carlos Oliveira, and others are the main characters. While you have major antagonists like Albert Wesker, Nemesis, and more. 

But no we got a film saga that focused on Paul W.S. Anderson’s wife where the writing isn’t better than average and whatever else.

Sorry I’m just annoyed but yeah I don’t think I’ll watch the rest of the movies. Unless I want to, but I’m grateful we are getting a reboot of this film series. Even though it sucks James Wan isn’t the producer anymore. But seriously just make a respectable adaption of the games. Especially they are movies in some ways, there is potential. Besides I’m not the first to have complained about this.

I’m just glad I’ve finally seen the film. Again not gonna watch the rest of the franchise. I’ve seen Afterlife. Also I know that Leon, Ada, and Barry are in the 5th. But I think I’ll just watch clips instead.

Also I’m just grateful my God video game movies are becoming better. I’m hoping that Resident Evil movie reboot is one of those better video game adaptions.

But hey when watching this movie, despite the reception it got, and it will probably be more cool than the movie. I got Operation Raccoon City on Steam. It’s installing, and hopefully I can enjoy it despite what I’ve read and seen. I’ve been very interested in that game. Also I know it’s non canon but it’s concept, and other things makes me very interested. But yeah I’ll probably get more enjoyment out of that game from this movie. I’m sorry it’s stupid comparing a game with mixed reception to a movie with negative reception.

But also it has characters I’m interested in and just....I’m gonna sound harsh and wanted to say this. Alice should of never been the main character. I mean I didn’t hate Alice in the first, and while it’s nice the games characters are still there. I’m just not invested in her character. Sorry if this got all mixed up.

Maybe a mis-mash of Resident Evil 2 and 3 might work. It’s the reason why I’m looking at Operation Raccoon City in a weird way. But seriously yeah that game seems more interesting to me. Again I’m rambling and hopefully I enjoy it. Because from what I know at least it’s now Umbrella Corps, that video game and it could be the worse Resident Evil game. 

I was worried of Operation Raccoon City might be something like Sonic 06 or Aliens Colonial Marines. But then I remembered Umbrella Corps just I need to play Operation Raccoon City first to make my own opinion.....

Also today I bought Resident Evil Revelations on PS4, and was redownloading Resident Evil 4 too on PS4. I haven’t played Revelations yet despite it’s done downloading, because the movie was approaching to play. Anyway I think I’ve said enough.

Edit because for some fucking reason, I don’t understand this clipboard thing, and I can’t play Operation Raccoon City. Well fine then fuck that shit, I’ll get it for PS3. But also fine I think Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil 4 will be more fun than that game anyway. So before editing this I decided to uninstall the game and permeantly remove it from my library of games on Steam.
