Chapter 114:

It's the Devil King!

But...why are there two Devil Kings? Pai's Mom asks this Devil King, Shiva, why he's here, assuming the current Devil King has told him to come and get her. Her Wu (the actual Madurai...my bad) squares up with their sword but Pai's Mom tells them to stand down. Pai's Mom says she left the castle to avoid being made human and undergoing whatever the fuck is going on with the current Devil King...and Shiva was selected for the process too. She gets Yakumo's attention by asking Shiva if he knows what happens when triclops become human. Yakumo wants to hear but it looks like a fight is about break out...and Shiva walks through everybody to get to Pai. Yakumo holds her close, telling Shiva he won't have her...and Pai runs over to him, happy to see him.

Yakumo tries to grab her but he's cut off by Haan taking out his sword and confronting her, telling her she isn't a child and this is a dream she needs to wake up from. Yakumo supports him, saying that Shiva isn't really there. Haan tells her to remember who she is before Madurai has enough, demanding that they tell them who they are and how they know Pai. Yakumo tries to keep the peace but Shiva blasts at them, scattering everyone. Pai's Mom thinks Pai was wasted but Madurai assures her she's too valuable to both Shiva and the Devil King for that to happen.

Suddenly, a Hyouma swoops down out of nowhere to hold Pai's Mom hostage. They fly off with Paravati and Pai is taken by Shiva. Yakumo wakes up with his wounds treated...and Pai nowhere in sight. He's worried about Pai being so excited to see Shiva. He decides the important thing to do is to save Pai's mind and free her, whether she's in love with Shiva or not. Madurai shows up and (turns she's a her) accuses him of bringing the Devil King's men with his crazy ass. But Yakumo's Dumbass shows on his face so she knows he didn't do it on purpose.

So Yakumo now knows Shiva and the Devil King aren't the same person...at the moment. Turns out the triclops straight up suck, killing each other for fun with the humanization process. Paravati refuses to be turned so that someone can look after the sick and weak ones. Also, the process itself is apparently evil but she was just kidnapped so she's fucked...or is she?! Yakumo points out that when the ritual is performed, everyone needs to be around so that's a perfect opportunity to rescue her.

The chapter ends with Yakumo declaring to himself he'll rescue Pai...and settle shit with Shiva personally.
