fyi for those wishing to channel Ariks Eshteross, this recipe is pretty decent. I'll admit I'm not getting a ton of maple flavor (possibly bc I did use dark brown suger), but they are enjoyably ginger-y, and I think you could up the maple part with maple icing/using maple extract.
