Sooo sorry if I seem like a creeper, but I love your blog (is that what it's called?? I never really got the hang of Tumblr lol) is so enjoyable to read through! I personally really love wolfstar, which I know you don't really care for, but I also just love stories! You have so many cool AUs and ideas that are genuinely just fun & interesting to read :)
I also wanted to say that I totally agree with what you said about including homophobia in fics. As someone who lives in a very liberal state—but it's still completely surrounded by bigotry and ignorance in my own community/family—it can feel isolating to see posts that imply we're in this newer, more tolerant age and don't need to discuss homophobia/bigotry in fandom spaces or in fiction (this isn't what the original ask said at all, but I have seen this discussed before). I didn't really come in to my own queerness until I was a fully grown adult, and before I was out to any of my friends, fiction/fandom spaces were really the only places I was able to work through the over turmoil I was experiencing. I always enjoy reading about different characters—especially ones I admire or relate to—struggle with their identity, or to find self acceptance!
Anyway, that was kind of word-vomit that I don't really think made sense, so absolutely feel free to ignore! I just wanted to let you know that you're thoughts are appreciated :))
Thank you! 💕
I’m glad you’ve been able to find out more about yourself as you’ve gotten older. I am so happy for people who know who they are at a young age, but there are many wonderful things about ourselves we can learn as we get older. I think stories about older people learning about their queerness and unlearning prejudice are incredibly important.
