i scripted that my face looks pretty and whatnot (in a very like unique way coz ugh she’s so different and quirky and unique🙄) but i still look and feel familiar to myself.

Also idk if you guys have heard that theory but like apparently after spending enough time with someone you start to look like them? Ik that theory generally means like clothes and aesthetic rather than actual facial features but i did script that even tho me and my siblings are adopted we somehow look similar to each other and our parents.

But the biggest change is probably my hair. in a reality where i can have any hair colour and you think i’m not going pink?

Alicent taking a fawkin plan B cause she just got her freak on way too soon…man she’s crazy for that cause she was out here fucking Criston Cole like 3 times and already for pregnant. She crazy for that. Mind you, Viserys was fr still alive not too long ago but aye get your jush queen I guess LMAO.

Daemon losing his fucking mind in Harrenhal and it’s lowkey making me chuckle but I just think it’s him fighting his demons fr. And I’m assuming Alys Rivers is important to the story so I gotta stay tuned for that.

Aemond speaking with Aegon and clocking him at the council table in High Valyrian…listen…that did something to me. Like he just started talking and I was mesmerized the entire time. He knew he ate that too. Idk what it was but Aemond was super cunt this episode, he just looked too good. 🤭

Criston Cole is actually crazy. He got some new drip and a new chain and he just starts beheading people like huh?? And the fact that he’s plotting with Aemond, messy ass bitch.

Overall, 10/10 episode, the best episode in HOTD so far and top 10 episode in the GOT franchise, possibly top 5. They sat there and cooked so hard for this episode, like this is peak, this is television, this is cinema. But what I loved most were the dragon designs, and honestly seeing the comparisons between Sunfyre, Meleys, and Vhagar was so interesting scale wise. My only complaint is that even after all of this, Criston Cole lives to see another day, what a shame. 💔

Yes, absolutely. Daenys is soft & sappy & dreams of epic, sweeping romance. Given the whole “no brothers for her or Rhaenyra to marry” thing, she lets herself indulge in daydreams about finding a Nonthreatening Hunky Boy(toy) to give her favor to at tourneys & kiss behind trees in the gardens & have romantic dances with. General “medieval fantasy girly girl” romantic fantasies. Before her friends-to-lovers with Tyland Lannister, she doesn’t really know how go about or what to do with these fantasies, but she has them.

After the relationship starts she is 1000000% all about gifts because that is babygirl’s love language. Give her flowers, give her candies & cakes, give her pretty jewelry. She wants to know that, even if they aren’t physically together, he was thinking about her. She does this right back to him, btw. “Saw this thing & thought of you, so I got it for you. Ily, bby💕”. She is also very, very determined that one day she’s gonna convince Tyland to go flying with her on her Pastel Princess Dragon, because the thought of having him with her up in the air with just them & the dragon she’s bonded to/is such a part of her is very, very special to her. Self actualization type need for her high romance.

Does your OC have a Best Friend? If they do then how long have they known each other and how did they meet? If they don’t then do they have a close group of friends they love equally? Or are they more of a loner?

I’m not really sure what her whole Girl Posse looks like, since I’m very focused on my Roycegaryen fic rn & it’s easier to write little snippets of my Alicent OC than it is for Daenys because I feel in my soul she’s gonna get a whole fic one day, & I can’t really know what will & won’t be stuff we see within her fic/The Red Princess. So she’s in a weird state of limbo where there’s all kinds of possibilities for her that I’m a little scared to explore because “there will be more one day & this could change.” The thing I absolutely know beyond a shadow of a doubt, though, is that her bestie is Lyonal Strong’s youngest child: Cassana.

By the time we get to the start of s1e1 of HOTD, they have known each other…essentially their whole lives. Like, maybe not “from the very minute they were born” type shit, but very near to “womb to the tomb besties.” So yeah, Cassana was just kind of presented as the friendship/companion option for Daughter 2 because if Alicent was there for Rhaenyra then Daenys needed someone, right? Right. They grew up together & neither Daenys or Cassana is aware of a time they didn’t have each other as their “sister I picked” (because circumstance sees them both not incredibly close to their actual sisters. Not in an animosity/”ooh, I hate you” type way, just “I love you, but we aren’t really friends” type way).

Did your OC’s parents love them unconditionally? If so then has this helped them feel confident as an adult? If not then how has this affected them? What were the conditions their family attached to their relationship?

I want to say yes, because I know Aemma definitely loved both of her girls unconditionally & did her best to make sure they would come at the world with some level of confidence hand-in-hand with their (rather frank) preparation for the world, but Vizzy is the wild card, ain’t he?

I don’t think he did much to undo what Aemma did with Daenys that crafted her into the softly confident, loved young woman she is by the time I introduce her around the start of the show (because I do not at all intend to start her fic as early as I did SOTF), but he definitely did something to it. Because she has to know she’s not what he wanted. Daenys was supposed to be a son, & he’s disappointed. He won’t tell her that, but she’s not stupid (head empty, but not stupid). His whole…how he is, & Daenys knowing that she was “supposed to be a boy” & that she’d probably have more outward love & affection from her dad had she been is, I think, what makes her double down on her femininity.

Daenys being hyper feminine, & soft, & leaning into all the conventions of courtly girlhood (later womanhood) both as “this is what I enjoy” & a way to game the system in her favor by manipulating people with her perceived weakness & emotional sensitivity is a product of Aemma’s love & her nurturing of these things Daenys liked, & of Viserys quietly wishing she’d been someone else while still telling her he loved her.

Does your OC wish to make the world a better place? How far do they see that as being their responsibility? What lengths would they go to in order to help achieve this?

Honestly, no. She is so, so far removed from the lives of people who are worse off than her. Daenys is selfish & privileged & spoiled & she just sort of…doesn’t care? She doesn’t want to do wrong by anyone, & she cares if the smallfolk don’t have food or whatever, but she’s the secondborn daughter who gets pushed further & further down the line of succession each time Alicent has a son, she’s not at all prepared in any way to make the world a better place & she kind of likes it that way. She likes being frivolous & removed from other people’s problems because she just doesn’t really think they’re as important as her problems unless the other person is actively dying as a result of theirs.

Does your OC have any particular favorite chat up lines? If not for themselves then perhaps ones they have suggested to a friend? How effective do these tend to be?

Not really, lmao. Daenys has all kinds of romantic fantasies & daydreams (as mentioned earlier), but none of them are about the process of falling in love or finding a partner, they’re about already having one. She’s simply never thought about picking anyone up, because whatever Nonthreatening Hunky Boy she’s supposed to have is just gonna land in her lap (RIP me for giving her confirmation bias because he is literally dropped in her lap the moment he becomes employed). That said, though, I think almost any chat up line could work on her if you’re who she’s decided is gonna be her boy toy.

Is your OC in a committed long-term relationship (or relationships)? If so then what has contributed to this relationship lasting so well? If they are not in such a relationship, then is this something that saddens them or which they regret?

Not at the start, but at least part of her planned fic is about her getting into & being in a committed long-term relationship (with my mans Tyland). I touch on why their relationship works here, & I don't think I'll write something as articulate a second time. But also, the nonserious answer to why their relationship works is that they are both sexy & they bang on the reg.

Does your OC have a healthy sense of their own worth and value? Or do they see themselves as failing to live up to their original potential? Perhaps they are convinced of their own sinful or inadequate nature?

I would say she mostly does. Like I touched on earlier: it's impossible for Daenys to not know Vizzy wanted a boy, & a small part of her thinks she'd be taken more seriously if she were the boy he wanted. Ultimately, though, she's very comfortable with who & what she is. Daenys is also vain & narcissistic enough to think that, even though she's not The Wanted Boy, she is hotter & better than most other people. Everyone wishes they were her. Everyone wishes they were an iced out princess who gets to bang the most employed man in the Seven Kingdoms. And she knows this. Incontestable fact.

013 is one of my more recently made OCs. She’s another one of my favorites, too. She’s from one of my WIPs, in which the plot is just about her, her best friend, and the adventures they go on. She’s also like, very sickly and small, she’s definitely one of those Always Sick (tm) kids. Her various sicknesses and chronic ailments were what caused her eventual death. She was fascinated by the stars, and the beauty of the night sky. She’d usually get her best friend, Victor, to lend her his telescope or teach her more about the other planets and galaxies. She said when she grew up, she wanted to be an astronaut. She spent lots of time studying space, and she really did want to see the stars in person. She died when she was a teenager. Victor lived to an old age, without her. Anyway, she’s just a cute OC. Ray of sunshine and everything. I hated writing the scene of her death, ugh. Below is a sketch of her.

Mary-Anne Taylor.

This OC is from a totally different universe from Victor and 013. She lived around the 1980s and 1890s, and died to sickness. Now, she is a ghost who possesses a glass doll. The glass doll is similar to her in looks, and that is why she chose it. She was a child when she died, so she still likes learning new things and playing outside. She had a little sister that she loved to play with and take care of. I mainly use this OC for rps, where I have her ask the other character about what special things have happened since her death. Very cute overall. I don’t actually have any concepts for her design…? She loves to catch bugs and run in the mud, she had no care for what “being proper” meant. She’s just a bro.

Yui is just this emo girl who wears lots of eyeliner and hides the lower half of her face under a vintage gas mask? The gas mask, though, is only half there for aesthetics, as she has this kuchisake-onna style smile scar going across her face. She’s a very cool character and she sounds like the sort of person anyone would want to be friends with. I have her made in GC but I won’t bestow that horror upon you.

This lil’ guy is an OC I made as a joke, after keysmashing on a Chinese keyboard and accidentally texting my friend about an explorerer named Magic Jack destined to penetrate a barrier into a Forbidden City. I have no clue what it was about, but now le Magic Jack has a design, and he is a gay icon.

Ven Omause.

This OC was meant to be a YTTD OC, but now she’s detached from that and part of her own original story. She’s based on the YTTD dolls in the sense of her name meaning something weird and sinister or just being a misspelling of a phrase to look like a name. E.g. Tia Safalin, Sue Miley, Rio Ranger… Ven is based off the motif of snakes, snake powers, snake obsession, snake everything. She even has her tongue pierced so it looks reptillian. Her whole shtick is that she’s a serial killer with DID, one personality being an innocent high school student and one personality being a snake obssessed serial killer.

Before it was difficult for me to follow the story because the flow is different from the other stories you know? Obviously its a royal fic, and the setting was idk maybe from 1800s or 1700s so how its written is different and made use of older (??) deeper words but this last chapter was wow im so in lurvvvv and every scene was important!

General Notes

We're in the second half of Arc 1 already!!! i can't believe it! this fic has existed in my brain for SO LONG, i never honestly expected to get this far into it. i'm very excited to write the rest of this arc, tho as always i'm a tad anxious i won't be able to do my vision justice. but the only way to find out is to try, so onward!

haha yeah can you tell i'm excited to introduce this new character? in my defense, she's the best character ever 10/10 precious bby. i wasn't initially planning on including this scene in r&f directly, it was gonna go in the sidefic i have planned, but having this new perspective really helped with the flow of the chapter (esp since Risen spent half of it napping lol). i just think it was needed sooner rather than later. plus i got to write from Aakse's POV, and as stated she's literally the best.

also i just gotta say it: i feel like i nailed the dialogue in Aakse's scene. as someone who usually struggles w writing conversations, this one is just chef's kiss for me.
