i have got to ask you for your opinion on the beelzebub x gabriel plotline in good omens season 2 bc like. i cannot fathom how people think those are the same two characters as season 1. i cant fathom that romance at all at the sheer pace it went at

omg okay so i wasn't active on tumblr in 2019 when s1 came out but i was lurking (esp. in good omens fandom) BIG TIME so i remember people who shipped beez x gabriel in a very real way back then. it was never personally for me because az x crowley is Right There and also was still heavily subtextual at that point so it wasn't like i needed extra fandom or anything. i think part of the reason ppl shipped them back then is in many ways because they're foils to az x crowley just of course way more extreme in their beliefs and also Nastier .... like guy who loves flies and guy who's really mean and has purple eyes Idk. there's just the potential for some freak shit there. which i respect.

but i also feel like you really had to be part of the 2019 fandom to know they were a thing at all? me and my close good friend who has been in the fandom since the show first came out watched s2 together and immediately when their fingers touched we knew where it was headed but were like. Man No Way. Theyre Doing This Rn? No Way. but other friends of mine in varying degrees of online/gomens fandom had no idea it was even a thing.

so idk i get it for a couple of reasons, those being 1) this was the season of az x crowley relationship foils and 2) i've seen the vision of people who do ship it and understand it. but it's also so funny to me because it so clearly feels like it was written for an audience of people who would inherently understand this canonically nonexistent deep lore and context which tbf many tumblr users did have. i'm also fine with it as a Big Reveal Plot Device but in terms of their relationship being more believable/exciting i would have much preferred to see the montage sequence like doubled and spread out over the episodes. i also think it was too pure and sweet that they held hands and sang to each other in front of multiple other beings. they could and should get freakier and nastier with it

April Fools AU! Concept doodles/designs

So... For April Fools I... I was going to try and do a silly little AU event on here but uh... I didn't think anyone would.. be interested? Or care all that much? So I merely...... did not do it! Shrimple as that! BUT I still had some stuff stuck in my head.... So you guys get the messy shitty concept designs/doodles of them all!!! Dysnomia -> A leafeon (beholder), extremely similar to his mother in looks/concept. Mama's boy Immune -> A phione instead of a manaphy! Why? Smaller. Luan -> A furfrou! Why? I have my reasons. and then The Pinkies... Alaxia and Eden -> Shaymin! Eden would be stuck in land form with unformed flower buds that would slowly grow. And Alaxia would be... sky form because... yeah!! I had a whole *~+Thing+~* and stuff for why I chose these species specifically... how the story would be altered blahblahblah Anyways, I'll stop prattling on!! Just figured I would share the concepts because?? Idk! Content! Wrow!! ))

Hewwo! I have been watching your interest in MTG and also a few of the like content creators I watch have ALSO gotten into MTG lately and its all gotten me like 'wrow that looks pretty fun actually' but i am a dumbass with the brain of a prey animal and idk where to even begin to look to try to get into it and also mtg spaces scare me. But Corv my buddy Corv!!! I thought maybe you may have some tips and tricks and directions to point me in perhaps???

yes hello!!!!!!! magic is a lot of fun, and for me personally, going to go play it at my local game store has been the only thing thats actually gotten me to leave the house and talk to strangers lol.

if you want to learn to play the game, i would recommend trying Arena!! (its also on Steam if youd rather download it) its free to download, and though it has microtransactions and a sort of battle pass, i have found it really easy to not spend real money on it. anyway its got a nice tutorial, and ive always found the starter decks they give you are really solid. you can also check out if there's a game store near you, because i know the one near me has a "learn to play" night once a week

if you want to get into The Lore, each set has their own storyline that is depicted on the cards, and also in the webfiction on their website! The current story arc started in 2023, with the Wilds of Eldraine set. i also really enjoy Spice8rack's video summing up the entire storyline until Wilds of Elrdraine started

the way i got into it was i downloaded arena and played it a lot, and then looked at the wiki entries for the characters whose cards i used all the time. or thought looked cool lol. now i have a whole room in my apartment dedicated to it.

story about the C-ta at GDQ picture: I was doing commentary for a run (I'm in the left picture in the foreground on the left, half cut off) and I was nervous, so cha-momile said "I'm gonna wear your C-ta cosplay so that C-ta can be there to support you!" it's extremely funny and based of him. it looks better on him than it does on me anyway lmao.

also apparently a technician came up to him and said "I don't know what's going on [gesturing at his costume] but I've made sure that you're in frame on camera" XD. so if you watch the Manifold Garden run on the gdq youtube, you can see C-ta in the background occasionally throwing 🫶 at the camera.

we were talking about it and we decided that a-ya appearing in an event like this would be a nightmare scenario for c-ta because it would give a-ya too much respect, so he'd have to be nearby to make sure to "help" a-ya out, but also c-ta doesn't want to be anywhere near a camera where he can be seen 😅

anyway yes we need more shuuenpro speedrunning content. c-ta speedruns cooking mama and cries on stream. also b-ko is one of those girls who plays call of duty and destroys anyone who even gets near her and also she only even started playing it as a joke and now she likes it too much. if there was a shuuenpro video game i'd speedrun it right now.

Wrow…Someone’s self-obsessed. What I talk about on my blog and what I tag as byIer are very different things. I censor byIer as byier with a capital i to avoid coming up in searches when I’m bitching about the fandom. This means if you’re seeing it you either follow me, someone you follow agrees with me and reblogged it, or you’re camping on my blog. None of that is my fault.

I tag things as byIer when they’re related to byIer or the byIer fandom, which, yes, does extend to the ways byIerblr staunchly refuses to engage with the rest of the plot. It’s not my fault they refuse to comprehend Henry in any meaningful way. The tag isn’t a closed community either. It’s a cataloguing system. If it’s about byIer or the byIer fandom, it gets tagged. As I said before, I do not tag my bitching posts.

What caused you to start writing? What was your key point?

OH MY GOD UM im really not sure???? as far as i can remember ive always been writing

i was a freakishly verbose child ( I CALLED MY SISTER AN IMBECILE WHEN I WAS 3??? ) and very ahead in terms of reading and writing because kno. The Autism. i was reading like actually Reading adult-level encyclopedias for fun from when i was like, 3 or something so ive always been into literature and i think it just kinda spawned from there?? i was writing stories and keeping them in punched pockets, writing plays and fanfiction and stories on microsoft word, so it was something i always did afaik

if there was a key point i don't remember it, but there are some things that stick out to me; once when i was around 11?i got a pokemon fan magazine that had honest to god fanfiction in it and that was like. immense to me. like you're telling me other people write about their favourite franchises like this?? and after that i really started taking stuff more seriously in regards to how i was writing another was when i was. ??? unsure but my teacher at the time wrote on my work "remember me when you are a famous author :)" and that sticks with me to this day. she was kind of a huge bitch but that was such a genuinely moving comment and i think abt it a lot sometimes

and a lot of little things too. like being told by online friends that i was an amazing writer for my age, or my english teacher being legitimately visibly excited to talk about my writing. so yea :3

Are you happy with how your favorite canon muse was portrayed in canon?

HMMM. in terms of raikov i Think so ? but i do wish we had got more of him. and specifically more of his relationship with volgin because they're very cute together. idk if i've mentioned it here before but i theorise that their relationship was initially meant to play a larger part in mgs3, because mgs is known for having very multi-layered and complex villains, and volgin isn't really shown as one. and yeah that's likely what they were going for with a more bond-esque narrative, but the fact he's constantly portrayed as evil personified WHILE ALSO having parts that shows he genuinely loves and cares abt someone... idk. it feels like they wanted to make that more prominent to add more depth to his character but they just didn't

SO REALLY thats my only critique, i wish we had seen more of him interacting with the other characters rather than nameless npcs. i'm kind of content with him being a mostly blank slate, though -- it means i can do a lot more work on him :3

Tell us about the Alex origin story :3

So, about two monthsish ago I found a fic on AO3 that I enjoyed! Yall probably know it already if you’re asking, but the important part is that it was the one with fullbody skill portraits at the top of each chapter. I thought that was pretty cool, bookmarked it, then went to tumblr to look for similar content about the skills, cause I hadn’t thought about them in that type of way before and I thought it was cool. I stumble upon! That very same art in the tumblr search! Wrow! So I follow this creator for a while. And I find their NSFW blog. and I follow THAT for a while. Send a few anons, reblog a LOT of their posts, and then realize. Hey uh. you’re startin to feel a lil parasocial there bud. And I hate feeling that about myself so I took action.

That action was actually DMing them. And we hit it off great!! I got their discord and we messaged every day for i think like two weeks? Found out we both live in the same general area, but about 4 hours away from each other. I confess my love to them, tell them its 100% ok if they dont reciprocate, and they say they don’t, but they’d like to still be friends. I say great! And we continue being friends. After a few video calls, writing together, etc. we work out a way to meet up, involving *drumroll please* … The underfunded public bus system. Insert dramatic sound effect.

Now, I’m a bit of a bubble boy. Can’t even drive on my own, so I’ve never really gone somewhere on my own, ESPECIALLY somewhere 4 hours away. But I decide to be brave. After all, they promised me they’d do whatever was necessary to make me comfortable, and wouldn’t let anyone hurt me, and I trusted them. Packed a bag, made cookies, bought them an alligator plushie, and I was on my way. Side note, I gave my bus seat neighbor a cookie to bribe him into liking me. He fell asleep on me 3 hours in and I was too spineless to wake him up so I just let it happen.

Without going into detail, the visit went great. I don’t think there’s a single thing we would change. After I take the bus AGAIN home (the sunset was beautiful and the city lights were so nice) we text every day again. And after a few days they say they want to be my partner, and they thank me for my patience in not insisting on being together.

Since then we’ve visited I think three times? Maybe two. We’re planning another visit soon. I love the time we spend together, I wait every day I’m NOT over there thinking about what it’ll be like to be there. And of course we text constantly. In case yall were curious, our 1 month anniversary was the day before yesterday. Since we didn’t get to celebrate then, I’m making us a cake to celebrate this weekend.
