10 Things I Hate About You set in a spicy historical setting?? What more could a girl want. Lady Evangeline Raine has had bad season after bad season after openly speaking out against a misogynistic lord who then gave her the name Lady Ghastly and had her snubbed by society. This is all fine to Evangeline as she'd prefer animals to people and is fine with being a spinster... the only problem is her younger sister Viola who is flirty and wants nothing more than to jump back into the London season to marry the very lord that snubbed Evangeline. Their father won't let Viola go alone and if Evangeline won't go, then Viola can't either... cue Gage Croft, Duke of Vale. Gage has been left with all his brother's huge debts and is determined to fix his estate... and if that means accepting a payout from a lord he owes a debt to in exchange for him charming Evangeline for the season while Viola is courted... who could it hurt. Gage is unprepared for the absolutely enchanting Evangeline and finds himself falling for the woman he's lying to. Evangeline finds herself attracted to Gage and makes a scandalous arrangement... but when the truth comes out will Evangeline forgive Gage or will he break her heart? THIS BOOK WAS FANTASTIC. I was completely blown away by just how fun and spicy this book was. Its such a fun adaptation and take on 10 Things I Hate About You and I loved this couple so much. Evangeline and Gage have such great chemistry and their romance was FANTASTIC. Seriously, pick this book up immediately, it'll have you smiling all throughout it!

Bad dreams in the night

The art style is gorgeous (love the eyebrows) and the choice to use blacks and whites (butter corn ramen & hangnail) or blue monochrome (little house in the sea) seperate those stories from the rest and give the reader a much needed reprieve.

My favourite stories were: Green Ribbon, Better Kate than Never & Viola Bloom

Each are very different in their own right and seek to make the reader unnerved by using human traits to show our gruesome tendencies.

Me and Evangeline at the Farm:

Relatable. Everyone has that one old story we’ve watch / read and could never find again. Overall I didn’t find it scary, more sad.

Milk Door:

It’s giving Coraline. It’s giving ‘get me the fuck out of here’. Delulu is not the solulu, GIRL CALL THE POLICEEEEEE

Butter Corn Ramen:

We’ve all had that food we miraculously found one day and binged until we felt sick; this story perfectly encapsulates that. We truely are what we eat

Ps. I also like that this was left black & white, it makes it creepier

The Green Ribbon:

A good story is something you enjoy, a great story makes you feel emotions. I felt anger at the main character’s narcissism and apathy, I pity Jane’s situation but wonder if she knew that she was the other woman and I felt sorrow for Charlotte, she deserved better.

Forest Fruit:

Ugh. When I saw the title page I knew I’d love this story. I like the characterisation of the boy and how he never looks the coast guard nor the camera in the eye. I love and hate the open ending, I want more but I also adore the mystery of this cliffhanger!

Bus stop:

I find this story the most whimsical turn of the other stories. A magic shop that provides me what I need when I need it? Sign me up, I need a million dollars.

Hangnail:

Hangnail made me the most uncomfortable. Body horror always gets me freaked out, good job. Also hangnails SUCK

Better Kate than Never:

Reality TV these days could easily turn into horror if they just threw in chainsaws and fake blood. This story reminds me of all those shows that replace a character’s actor with another. I like how the audience is always a background & never focused on. I love Taffy, she reminds me of those family blog kids who deal with the privacy invasion, give advice to their younger (or in this case, less experienced siblings) then escapes when they’re 18. I think this one is my favourite, it makes me question so many things. What happened to the first Kate? How did this Kate appear? Has Taffy gone through this too? Are the parents in control of the show or are they puppets to the producers?

Ps. I’m glad Kate escaped but why didn’t she take my girl Taffy with her 😭

Little House in the Sea:

It depicts the isolation that single motherhood brings, I personally believe that it also delves into enmeshment / co-dependent relationships. I love the artist use of a monochromatic colour scheme as it shows the character’s perspective of her world (only seeing one way of doing things, not questioning or changing it)

Murder Party:

I agree with the author, true crime has rotted a good majority of brains (although I am being a hypocrite as I have listened to them too). It reminds me of those murder cases and the criminals get love letters, it’s just gross. I love the open ending of the podcaster, you didn’t need to show her death to create impact from it

Viola Bloom:

This was the perfect finale. This one definitely creeped me out the most, something about her unnatural body posture and Viola’s curse poem just made bile settle in my throat. And the calling card stuck to the last page? Omg brilliant, chef kiss to the author

okay, so this is a post saying that i’m going to be taking anywhere between a few days to a week off from rping. the reason why is under the cut, and i apologise for the sheer length of this post regarding it’s only me really saying “i’m leaving for a few days”, and while i don’t require people to read, i hope you do. if you’ve read, i’d appreciate it if you liked this post. tw for stalking, ableism and harassment.

if y’all haven’t noticed, either from my decision to turn anonymous off on this blog, akaza’s, both my art blogs, and my personal ––– i am being harassed. this person has admitted to not knowing us personally, and their claim is that we are faking having DID, and are supposedly harming the community by saying we have it, as well as we are harming the community by me, the host, having the name i have. to those who know me and talk to me, we were officially acknowledged as having DID and PTSD by a dissociative specialist during last year. we sat down for the “gold standard” dissociative assessment/inventory, of which took us around 2.5 hours – the specialist having talked to cheshire, bull, and viola, as i had not formed at the time. this specialist does not know of the harassment i have gone through since then, nor does she know of the majority of our alters – but so we’re all on the same page here, as of approximately 2 weeks ago, we have 28 alters, consisting of those who front regularly (namely myself, cheshire, baby and viola), those who haven’t fronted in months, and most commonly, those who co-front with us and engage in passive influence. to those who don’t know, alters usually require specific triggers in order to front, which can consist of both positive and negative events, topics, and feelings – baby, our little (the name for a child alter), can front when we talk about dragons, pokemon, or my little pony for example! and then there is shadow, who has fronted in the past when we were placed in emotionally straining situations, or were otherwise acting avoidantly and thus, he felt like he needed to feed that avoidant behaviour by some alters. it can vary, but the reason why i am dubbed the host is very simple: i am the most commonly fronting alter. i was formed during an extremely stressful situation, and i was split from cheshire – this is why, as this stranger is adamant about stating, we type very similarly (notice how i say type, not talk).

but, to get to the point – despite the fact it is illegal for a person to be demanded  their diagnostic material without explicit consent, i have been told, across blogs, on both anonymous and not, that i am faking and endangering the community by faking. no, i am not planning on showing my entire medical history to someone i don’t even know, i don’t even plan on showing my entire medical history to people i do know – but since this person has started harassing my friends, and even my partner. they have tracked down blogs that i run through filing through my one-thousand, three-hundred and seventy-one posts on this blog, and have stalked me, analysed me, and made me feel incredibly unsafe. i have had people come to me, with dissociative disorders themselves, and express how this person has made them feel unsafe to disclose their disorder or even something as small as showing symptoms. this is disgustingly ableist, if you harass a neurodivergent person into not showing symptoms for ANY reason, you are being ableist. that is just a fact. this person denies that what they’re doing is ableist in nature, and i am here to say, that is wrong.

i have been through the entire diagnostic process, it took us the majority of our life to realise that experiencing dissociation to a debilitating degree, which has cost us friendships, relationships, work, money, opportunities, is not normal. we have had alters talk to a professional dissociative specialist, not to mention friends, family, and my partner on countless occasions, and they can all tell the difference between them. i do not need a stranger spreading rumours about how we’re “not different enough” for me to have it (when they have not seen us irl, how we dress, how we act, etc), based on a disturbingly obsessive analysis of a handful of posts, a little bit of art, and a no-show of dormant alters who have simply not been triggered to the front. this is ignorant at least, ableist and endangering at most. i am currently being stalked, i am currently being harassed, my friends and partner have been harassed and analysed as well, i have lost a shitload of followers based on people believing them, and this is us, my system agreeing to say, people need to do better by those with dissociative disorders. if you EVER see ANYONE and think you need to harass them into showing more, or less symptoms, you are contributing to something extremely dangerous, end of.

Chapter 26: Being Honest About The God Of Lies

Summary: So...last night did not go well. After some encouraging words, Loki convinces you to call Gretchen and give things a second try. This should be fun.

“Do you want to talk about it now?”

It was just past midnight when Loki asked you the question in his soft, relaxing voice. You were naked, curled into his side, and seeking the warmth of his nude body. You weren’t stripped because of sex. You were bare because you wanted to feel him, feel his realness. You wanted to remember that he was tangible and he wasn’t going away.

After your fight with Gretchen in the park, Loki held you for what felt like another hour. He never prodded nor did he try and pull answers out of you. When you were finally ready to go, Loki picked you up in his arms and carried you home. He placed an illusion over you both so he looked like a random man walking a dog, but you were quick to fall asleep in his arms.

When you got home, Loki had asked what you needed. You told him you needed him. You took off his clothing with tears in your eyes, weakness in your bones. Once Loki was naked, you slipped your own clothing off, crawled into bed, and asked him to hold you. He did. He held you. He fed you bits of chocolate and fruit and other sweets to aid in your comfort. He helped you drink some cold water. And the entire time, he was quiet. 

Until he asked that question.

You debated faking being asleep but he would know if you were lying. That was the downside of dating the God of Lies, after all. So, you took a deep breath and shook your head.

“No. Not tonight. Can I just sleep first?” you asked. You looked up at him with glazed eyes. “I’m really tired. It’s been a long day.”

“Don’t put this off, my love,” Loki whispered, cupping your cheek. “I hate seeing you so sad.”

“I promise I’ll tell you in the morning,” you assured him. You placed your hand over his and brought it to your lips. You kissed each of his fingers and nuzzled into his hand. “I love you so much that it hurts sometimes.”

“The feeling is mutual, sweet girl,” Loki said softly. “I love you. Nothing will change that.”

How crazy is someone loving himself to be considered narcissistic? I do know that we're always taught to envy being like somebody else and having other traits that we might never have, looking a certain way and even acting in a certain way so it might not be common (sadly) to be satisfied and happy about yourself and your personality. But it's wild that a simple man that likes himself for who he is can be considered narcissistic. And that's another problem, people use this word way too often and sometimes don't know what that means, it's an actual mental health issue and it can be diagnosed, the real narcissist aren't like that because they want to be and it affects their lives and their loved ones.

I guess it's a known thing that Henry struggled with body image and he was called Fat Cavill in school and if anything he politely accepts compliments cause he can't be like ' oh shut up talking about my looks ' in interviews! We're also not inside his mind to know what's going on, he might be standing in a tuxedo, smiling and still feeling insecure on the inside and we won't know unless he addresses it, and knowing the world we're in people might say he's faking to have peoples empathy cause of course someone that looks like him could never be insecure. Also, being an actor is tough on their bodies cause they have to change and shape their physic in many ways to fit a role, Viola Davis had to weight 200 pounds and lose it all very fast for another project and she is 55 years old!

I think that ask ( and I'm not hating on the anonymous ) really hit home here cause I've been reflecting a lot on self love and practicing self love, people like to say that you have to practice self love and admire yourself until you do and then they're upset, cause you're not doubting yourself and looking at your appearance in a bad way so there's no longer the insecure person you 'help' see the light and you're no longer 'the better person' I've had about twenty friends like this.

I've been struggling with my body and even my personality for all my life, I've been called names and I have let people treat me a certain way cause of the way I looked, cause who else is gonna look at me? And even so, I'm the furthest thing from beauty standards, and I still struggle. But I love myself, so very much, and I wish people love themselves too, and I am the most important person in my life for sure, cause I carry the weight of my sorrows and the beauty of being who I am, I'm my best friend, and that doesn't make me or anyone a narcissist, it makes me someone who won't let people treat me a certain way cause I have value and I deserve better. I am the last cookie of the jar ( Henry can have it tho ) and all I wish if for all pretty people I have around me to feel the same way, and to see how amazing and beautiful they are, so we can all love each other and love ourselves.

Okay, let me differentiate the subjects for some clarity because you are absolutely right that people are misinformed and use the term without even realising how serious this condition is.  

1. Self-love is important - self-love is accepting your flaws, considering them beautiful for what they are, and trying to improve on yourself and take better care of yourself. 

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be stronger, muscular, thinner, fuller etc in order to take care of your body. 

You can still love yourself and think you are good looking or be a bit troubled with your looks (we are human, we all have our ego) and be kind toward others. 

Yes, some people are a bit self-centred but I wouldn’t name them narcissists. Henry is not self-centred from what I’ve seen, he seems to be kind and yes he cares about how he looks, he was bullied he will always have that voice in his mind telling him he is ugly...   

2. Narcissism is a serious personality disorder. Narcissistic people are selfish, self-centred, manipulative, disrespectful of others, victimising themselves for attention and to make you feel guilty and sorry for them, lack any responsibility, lack empathy, lie, and try to control others. 

Narcissistic people see other people as tools and means for their exaggerated self-importance and self-idolisation.

So no, I don’t see Henry as someone who has narcissistic traits. 

Trust me, I grew up with a narcissistic mom...

Hello there! Thank you for the ask, I promise I'm not that interesting lol

1- I used to play the violin, which helped me learn the viola and cello. I had an injury to my wrist which stopped me from playing, but I still have 2 violins and play for a few minutes.

2- I'm really bad at games, I had sudoku only on my phone until recently, I now have the SM music game which again I'm bad at.

3- I'm petrified of spiders, big, small, real or fake. Im a giant baby with them, but any other bug im fine with.

3) spotify. lifesaver when the boys are getting loud on theory day in orchestra
