Blood & Darkness Street Fashion

Thinking about pastel goth Hazel and then remembering there's other goth subcultures and I'm doing a quick search bc im not v familiar w/ them but from a few glances of the different fashions:

Hazel: Pastel goth/Gothic lolita

Nico: Emo goth

Bianca: Mall goth

Macaria: Pin-Up goth

Melinoe: Nu-goth

Zagreus: Glam goth

Hades: All his clothes are just black or dark-coloured, what the fuck is an "aesthetic"/Corporate goth (for meetings. Or to make his nephew realize he's bisexual)

There's a lot of subcultures and I am not good with fashion and trying to find examples (especially for men's looks) of the various subcultures was. hard, but I think it's pretty good rep of my various headcanons on how they dress!

Thanks to Catherine, and several more shopping trips, and even more time spent at Catherine's home when Alex is sure to be gone, Eden is very confident in her ability to look like a girl. Not just a girl, but a girl from the city, dressing in fashions that are current and pretty and that make her feal beautiful and settled in her skin and like the past five years of lies hasn't taken anything that she couldn't get back.

It also means she's now able to be excellent bait for the serial killer running around Central.

She stares. "Yeah, Al. That's kind of the point."

He mimes strangling her. If he had a body, his face would be so red right now. "That's stupid!"

She is older and mature and not going to take offense to that, because come on. "Al, please. He's not even an alchemist. What do you really think he's going to do to me?"

"He doesn't have to be an alchemist to slit your throat!" he shouts. He should really be more mindful of how thin the walls in the dorm are.

Ed rolls her eyes. The things she's fought, and one guy with a knife is going to get the drop on her? Yeah, right. She ignores that, since Al clearly isn't interested in being logical about this. "He won't though. Because he likes to torture them first, he kidnaps them and moves them and tortures them and then kills them and chops them up and drops them across the city. Because he's sick like that. So I let him take me and then with a clap of my hands I put that idiot behind bars and I call the police. Okay?"

"And when he starts talking about a blond girl who used alchemy without circles?" Al asks pointedly.

Hm. Okay, maybe she didn't think of everything. "So I'll wait until his back is turned. Or just knock him out and tie him up. I won't really need alchemy for this one. He's just a guy."

So I'm gonna try to clarify what I said in my previous post about being worried about Zagreus's fate because of what happens to him in actual greek mythology.

Note that there is a comment in the previous post that explains this as well, but the Titans aren't just gods. So, while Zagreus could walk away without a scratch after fighting a normal god, the Titans are very different.

Again, just like the comment describes, while the Olympian gods control forces of nature, the Titans are said forces of nature. An example I can give of this in the game is when we see Selene in the released footage, the game describes her using the title 'the moon incarnate' almost as if saying that Selene is the moon. And the thing is, that's very much the case.

The same thing goes for the other Titans compared to the Olympians. While Poseidon is the god of the sea, Oceanos is the sea. While Apollo is the god of the sun, Helios is the sun. The Titans are the forces of nature that the Olympians are oh so desperately trying to keep under their control.

So that's why it is that Zagrues can walk away from a battle with his father Hades without a bruise, but a fight with a Titan? let's just say that Zagreus won't walk away without a phew scars, assuming he survives.

Because again, that is his fate in actual mythology. The Titans that are imprisoned in Tartarus manage to escape with the help of Hera, after which they kill Zagreus. Then, in true Titan fashion, they devour his corpse. And when Zeus and the other gods finally discover what happened, the only thing they find left of Zagreus is his heart.

I've been playing Hades, and it’s got me thinking about if Danny Phantom was in the game

This is rough concept art, trying to best translate Danny into the Hades world & art style. I plan to refine these into finished pieces that look like they r from the first game! (if the art gods r kind to me T_T) I'd love to hear any ideas on how Danny would be a part of the game! Would he have his own boon set? or his own chamber with 3 options for the player to pick from? I also like the idea of him randomly showing up like Thanatos to help kill enemies for a possible reward. And the idea of him showing up in the lounge sporadically after you get enough hearts with him! or in the halls being surrounded by shades!

He's definitely gotten mistaken for Zagreus with his spikey black hair, I could definitely see Alecto attacking him because of it rip

My Designs Explained:

I'm taking a page out of the hot glowing feet of the Hades bloodline book and giving Danny frozen glowing hands representing his ice powers

I snatched Pariah Dark’s cloak and skull details (just like Danny snatching Pariah's Ghost King status), which really translates well into Hades fashion. Might add Pariah's belt buckle? I know a lot of people do fresh takes for Danny's Ghost king forms, but this works so well translating it into the art style & setting.

Danny is the King of Shades: Danny’s ghost form is designed after the Shades (who r the ghosts of Hades!) I'm really leaning into Shade vibes with the built in robe and hood, with his face in shadow and cartoony features. but he is the King and only half Shade, so he gets more accessories and has a more distinct form.

Danny is a God/Immortal (i.e. human form): Keeping a lot of design elements from his Shade form, but I'm gonna invert the colors & metals. I want him to be swarmed by little shades! Any ideas on what he should be holding? Probably will keep the ice crystal..

in the show romana is the one to leave the doctor, but. thinking about the aftermath of the apocalypse element and in particular zagreus where in the former the doctor simply fucks off for more adventures after romana has escaped 20 years of imprisonment and in the latter the doctor coldly rejects everything romana is trying to do or be. which given how she turns out is probably fair enough, but...

The one thing that Zagreus can’t take from him, the god of blood seeming to leech into every crack that’s left unguarded. His bright red ichor staining everything he touches. Hypnos who is losing- who has lost everything that mattered to him, to a godling who barely grasps the true intricacies of the underworld.

Hypnos who sees the nectar his “little brother” offers, and wants to throw the bottle in his face.

But he’ll take the bribe anyways.

Here is yet another silly (brilliant) fanfic idea, brought to you by me listening to the Hades (Supergiant Games) soundtrack while rereading Harrow The Ninth:

That’s it, that’s the idea. There have been a handful of fics in which a character from another fandom finds themselves emerged from the bloody waters of the Styx and accompanying Zagreus on his path out of Hades - I’ve seen Taylor Hebert, Pyrrha Nikos, Percy Jackson - but I don’t think I’ve seen one with someone who matches the whole Hadean vibe so well as Harrow does. I got up to the dinner party scene (the one where Ianthe dresses Harrow up, not the one with the soup) and she could rock that underworld fashion; she practically already is.

Plus Nyx actually being a kind authority/parental figure would discombobulate her delightfully. Or put her on a paranoid spiral. Harrow’s psyche requires a more skilled craftswoman than myself to write this, I fear.

Anyway! Let Harrow cross the River, you cowards.

Is there any other reasons Thanatos doesn't like WMFTD Y/n?

(Thanatos knowing that Y/n has down Ares, subdued a god and Thanatos possibly linking that with his time captured by Sisyphus? Thus his distrust and possible fear of Y/n is showing as malicious and hatred? Good writing 10/10. Gnawing at the bar in my enclosure. I hope that's what you were going for and not just me being a dork and rambling about why I think Thanatos has a strong dislike for Y/n)

Okay so you are spot on. Thanatos has a deep dislike of all mortals after what to him -which fair I totally get it and can't I wouldn't have the same response.

Like Thanatos isn't cruel to the mortals he brings but he isn't kind either so that creates the whole 'heart of iron' even though he knows as the god of peaceful death.

So there is this mortal who took down the god of war With no help from anyone else. ( In the Iliad, Diomedes fought two gods with the support of Athena). It y/n had no one back him up.

He took Ares down purely on his own skills alone!!!

And now he is dating Hypnos. Who can't leave a dent in a marshmallow if he tried.

So of course Thanatos dislike this mortal who could overpower them. (Doesn't help that Zagreus still haven't fought y/n outside of training and never won) bc hypnos isn't a fighter.

I love Hypnos but babygirl got pisspoor reflex and response time.

Also he totally judges y/n on his wine choices and fashion design. Lol

▌fears: deep-seated fears include losing his family, failing them, and abandonment. he's also really scared of heights though. ▌style preferences: hades used to dress far more formally; full suits, perfectly pressed, and whatever other formal fashions existed in every time period. all in black, all an attempt to appear composed and in control. getting sober meant exposing parts of himself he had once tried to keep hidden, and in doing so, became far more confident just being. which meant more comfortable clothing - still nice, most of the time, and he dresses up for fancy occasions. but he likes just wearing a t-shirt and jeans, with a nice pair of shoes and maybe a suave jacket. sometimes, at home, he even wears joggers. ▌someone they love: his children. which, naturally, feels like the obvious answer but it's one that's hard earned. he's always loved his children, deeply, but in the throes of grief found it very difficult to show melinoe and makaria any affection. he's tried very hard in recent years to rectify that. his love was always there, but dormant. now it blooms.

▌approach to friendships: friendships tend to happen to hades more often than not. he certainly tries to be friendly, and those he's already close with receive more obvious attempts at connection. but any new friends he makes are usually done so because others he knows encourage a relationship, or a person looks at him and goes YEP he's going to be my friend!! hades has the autistic rizz, people find his persona charming but only the right people

▌thoughts on pie: hades loves sweets, so he definitely likes pie. ▌favourite drink: hestia's tea. ▌favourite place to spend time at:  his living room at home, watching a movie with his family.  ▌swim in the lake or in the ocean: hades would pass on both, tbh, but if he had to choose it would be the ocean. ▌their type: hades has a thing for mouthy ones. he likes a little bit of talk back, he likes people who are sassy and outspoken, who don't take his shit - but he also likes people who are patient and kind. someone who will tease him ruthlessly for not understanding pop culture but then gently explain it to him, you know? ▌camping or indoors: indoors. get that man away from dirt, bugs, and the heat of the sun.
