Hey everyone, long time no see! Apologies for the months of silence - but I’m back now! I needed to take a much needed step back from HOCO and focus on some other projects of mine (as well as play a ungodly amount of BG3 hehe).

On my break, I also decided to kinda tear down HOCO and rebuild it from the ground up. I wasn’t really pleased with how the story was going and I think that really contributed to the burnout I felt with the project. I still would like to include the premise of the various life stages, but may go about it in a different way than I had initially planned - things to think about more I suppose!

Anyways here’s some behind the scenes of what I’ve been up to - starting with revisiting the cast’s (+ Nico’s) main outfits and updating them :3

it has to do with the backstory I had in mind for Ashe, and a “headcanon?” after listening to both Finn and the first two Faust audio where it took place at the coffee shop (since yv said something about making changes for both him and his listener [my brain is too fried to remember, feel free to correct me]) while I was working on her, and a light bulb lit up from there-

What I originally had in mind was that she met barista!Finn but some turned of events had happened *looks at asherah* to where Ashe wakes up in an “alteration” of the world and start to have an unstable ability where she could travel/foresee(??) visions of different realities/realms in her sleep/dreams while being unaware of it and using those “dreams” as inspiration for her side jobs (art/seamstress stuff). she then gets a job opportunity at the coffee shop where she’ll meet Faust first, then later on crossing paths with gv!finn

And that’s the short and basic explanation of what my brain can give. there’s more to it but it’s still needs more work , I’m also considering on designing her. though I did say I was going for something simple, I don’t feel satisfied with the design the more I look at it

Who is vasant?

He's the God of Spring and Flowers in Hindu Mythology. He always roams with Kamdev and Rati (the God of Love and his consort the Goddess of Lust) basically third wheeling them – so we came to the conclusion he is the God of third wheeling too.

There isn't enough texts about him actually so here in Tumblr we created a cult in his name... “The Cult of Rituraj Vasant 🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻🌼🏵️💐🥀🪷🪻”

From what I've found out, he's called Rituraj which literally means the King of Seasons. So ofcourse conclusion he's the King of seasons too.

Ok so, to preface, I’m irish and based the lamb’s culture off of celtic mythology so yeah

The lamb’s mother, Dana, comes from the name of the mother goddess in irish mythology who gave name to the ‘tuatha de danann’ (tribe of goddess danu, tribe of the gods) which is what i base the lamb’s close following on (stay with me here) So its kinda to say that from the lamb’s mother giving birth to them, she effectively raised all ‘children’ (following) of the lamb if you get what im saying?

The lamb themself takes the name of the famed goddess Ériu who is the matron goddess of ireland and gave it its name. SO staying on theme that the cult is named after the lamb themself, it fit nicely imo.

The lamb was born just as the reaping began, so their mother chose a name she hoped would bring them luck to spare them from the reaping. Hoping it would bring them to safer lands with ‘bounty and abundance’ as the name means. It was wishful thinking, although she knew not what her child was to become the very symbol the name portrayed.

Oh, yes! I love reading, it's so.. serene and peaceful, don't you think? There are so many good books in the world, yet people don't enjoy the idea of reading..

I like it. Not my favourite thing ever, but it's a good thing to do on a stormy day, or a hard day at work — clears my mind, and it means I don't have to think about anything other than the book.

I'm more of a fan of physical books myself, while Azriel prefers e-books. He has physical books, though.

Yeah, it depends on my mood.. sometimes I like physical, sometimes I don't. It depends on how I'm feeling that day – sometimes I just don't read at all.

It's quite nice to see someone else with a demon and angel related type. Though sometimes it is sad I cannot have either form. Having wings would be very nice. Though it's odd because with my other kintype I sometimes feel like I am physically (in headspace) that. But it doesn't happen with the angelkin. Systems and alterhumanity are an odd mix.
