hii i saw your post tags asking for tid contents and idk if this counts as content BUT lately i've been thinking about how cool portals are and how awesome henry and magnus are for inventing them so: portals remind me a lot of wormholes, which are deformations in space-time that would _theoretically_ allow matter to pass from one point in space time in another (like, ya know, teleportation).

however, wormholes tend to be unstable, like portals were before magnus figured out how to fix them with magic. also, wormholes were theorized around 1935 by einstein, which means that if we consider portals the shadow world's version of wormholes, not only did henry anticipate einstein himself before relativity was even a thing, but he, along magnus, managed to create AND stabilize something that to us STILL remains only theoretical to this day!

plus if we consider portals similar to wormholes it would be possible to create portals that cross time as well as space and the possibilities opened by this are soo many omg

Herbie, your latest chapter is brilliant! It's pulled together so many thoughts that have been swimming aimlessly in my brain. Like the title - there are three "Fathers" who have sinned. Anakin with Luke, obviously. Obi-Wan, with his neglect and ignorance (Anakin and Luke, separately and together). Palpatine, with his betrayal of Anakin, criminally and maybe sexually (and did he have anything to do with Padme's death?). Just...wow. 👏👏👏 Am I also getting some RotJ vibes re Anakin and Palpatine??

And for fun, I picture Anakin telling Luke that he's working for Palp for their future financial security, and naive/earnest Luke protesting and declaring "I can get a job" like the sweet baby boy he is. 💞

Last week I read over the entire story, which I hadn't done for awhile. With the additional new chapters about Luke's reactions, the story shows even more intensely his trauma and fear and how paralyzed he's become. Of course, I love it. 😈 Hooray that you've added to the chapter count! 😍😍😍

I know you’re a writer yourself, so you understand how exciting it is when someone loves your work and takes the time to really look at it, to think critically about it, to wonder and imagine and notice all those seemingly innocuous, little details you added that most people miss. Anakin may be the principle father committing the primary sin, here, but you’re absolutely right; neither Obi-Wan nor Palpatine are without their paternal influence/responsibilities and transgressions — accidental and intentional, respectively. It’s a whole mess of fathers fucking up their sons. The juicy bit is that Obi-Wan and Palpatine are at opposite ends of that fuck-up-your-kid spectrum when it comes to Anakin; Obi-Wan, absent and well-meaning; Palpatine, present and self-motivated.

So in the end we have Anakin, who, as a result, has landed somewhere in the middle — well-meaning in his own mind but self-motivated in reality. He’s the worst of both worlds, and yet of the three of them, the only one who loves his son unconditionally. Palpatine’s love is a deception, and Obi-Wan’s has been shown to have its limits, or at least its barriers. But Anakin truly loves Luke, and would love him no matter what he did, which is confusing and overwhelming to his poor son.

[Xyn let's out a quiet laugh, "I don't mind," he admits, "whether it's to just check my injury...or because you just want to stare at my naked chest." His teasing is gentle, like he's worried about offending you. Though he does make a face at the thought, "I might need your help removing the shirt, honestly. Putting it on hurt pretty badly."

He finally takes a sip of the water you brought him, "you know...there are some things that people deserve to be shot for. Nothing that I would do, but it does happen."]

I let out a short laugh, face a little red with a blush. “Since you put it out there… maybe I will take slight advantage of our current situation.” I tease back with a wink before my face falls a little bit. “I don’t like when you’re in pain.” I state as I reach to help him. “I know other people might do things. But I also know you wouldn’t.” I smile and shake my head fondly. “Here, can you lift your arms?” I reach to the bottom of his shirt to help him. “Tell me if anything hurts and I’ll stop.”

Xyn raises his arms as much as he can before it causes him pain, "I don't mind if you stare, or touch, or whatever." He admits, his face coloring as he makes that admission, "You've always been gentle, after all."

He ducks his head slightly, not willing to look you in the eyes after that minor confession, "plus you're pretty, and I'd be a dumb man to deny you what you want."

Morgan this chapter is amazing 🤩👏 the suffering fi Hailey her desperation has come all over 🥹 camila and stan are irritating, crazy, but I loved the twist, I knew that jay didn't dream about camila, it was she who sneaked into her apartment but I never thought she'd always been there in the palace. very good Morgan 👏 Ibitter how it was Hailey and alvin who put the pieces together. and hailey finding Jay, telling him to stay awake. I feel the agony and the love she feels for him. i guess when jay wakes up we will have the long awaited reunion and finally they will get back together, because in the tragedy they understood that they cannot get lost .. i loved the way hailey asks him to fight to get back to her because he promised her he wouldn't go away, he would always be by her side. but the part i appreciated more is the one with Will, the fact that he tells her he is a dejavu, lets her know how desperate even jay was to see her hurt by that evil witch of Camila. so as to make her understand once again that even if he left her he did it to protect her. It was heartbreaking but punchy that "it might be her choice this time", and hailey doesn't want to lose it .. and I can't wait to see how they recover and get back together. they are two soul mates 😍 and you are really good, you have brilliant ideas and you put them together neatly. you should do it for a living !! congratulations, I can't wait for next Tuesday 🤩 sorry for the long message but the amazing stories should be appreciated🥰

Camilla and Stan. Oooof. They’re just horrible people and they will be dealt with accordingly soon. And poor Pretty Boy is really going through it, but now comes more healing and then later, the happiness. Hailey’s gonna be right there by his side and they’re gonna get even closer than they already are and I can’t wait for you to see how they end up together again. Lots more sweetness and love ahead for those two.

Hailey and Alvin are such an amazing duo in this chapter (and this whole fic honestly). I’ve had a lot of fun writing those two in this fic. And Will! Comforting Hailey the same way he did Jay. I love a good role reversal situation and I’m so glad you enjoyed that!
