i really hate censoring myself on posts but i'm so aware of how i come off when i don't. but why do i care? even if i sugarcoated it to hell and back, it would piss people off.

i guess it's good to be respectful, though. i can't be preaching about respecting people and then not respect them.

the title of this blog (which was my idea by the way lmao) is something i stand by: my syscourse stance is people not being fucking assholes to each other. and for as much of an asshole as i can be, i want to practice what i preach. that's really important to me.

even when people piss me off, they're still people. they just pissed me off.

absolutely! i have So many thoughts about this au and i hope to one day actually do something with it (writing a fic is the most likely option)

the town clover has grown up in is called easthome. it’s more of a village than anything, with most of the townsfolk living on the outskirts on farms and the main buildings (school, grocery, town hall, etc) being in the center. it gets its electricity from the steamworks, which also provides energy for much of the surrounding rural area. the town has been growing drier in recent years, leading to worries about the harvest. part of the reason clover is studying agriculture is to help the town with its environmental plight.

kanako and clover became close extremely fast. with easthome having so few residents in general, the fact that they both are the same age definitely helps them to become friends. kanako is also very outgoing and talkative, and will happily fill the silence of clover not talking (they go nonverbal quite often, especially in public). in school, the two are practically inseparable, which is suprising to everyone else. kanako is the only one clover has explained their nightmares to :)

COOLEG!! asriel is studying physics and minoring in engineering, chara is studying english, kanako is studying engineering, and clover is studying agricultural sciences. the four of them get on pretty well, with kanako and asriel both being interested in engineering and chara and clover bonding over being two of the few humans on campus (i think in the deltarune universe humans just. aren’t as common. idk)

speaking of asriel, clover had quite the scare when they first merged dorms. in the window was a six-petal yellow flower in a pot, facing outward. they weren’t sure why it bothered them so much, even getting to the point where asriel had to physically shake them out of their stupor. they laughed it off and asked what it was. asriel explained it was a gift from his father, who ran a flower shop. apparently the flower had always reminded him of asriel. clover never shakes off their apprehension with that flower. they don’t know why.

my current reason for the four ending up in the dark world is that they all finished classes early enough that they were able to leave for vacation early. asriel wanted to suprise his family by going home before they expected him, and chara was going along because they didn’t want to go back home. clover and kanako came along as well, since easthome is on the same route. they get to asriel’s house and the door is just. pure darkness. i’m sure nothing wrong will happen if they go in :3

gaster is the physics teacher at the college, with him supposedly writing a dissertation on “alternate worlds.” he has a secret lab that the four TOTALLY DID NOT STUMBLE UPON and TOTALLY DID NOT LEARN ANY SECRET INFORMATION FROM smiley face =)

i’ll probably end up making a post with the four’s dark world designs, but in terms of dnd class inspiration clover would be gunslinger, kanako would be monk, asriel would be a sorcerer, and chara would be a rogue :]

like, as an argentinian i'm super excited about fran, i think he trully deserves it and he is going to be able to show how great of a driver he is

but on the other hand, i'm so scared that this might ruin his future? like, i have seen people saying that he can't come back to f2 next year, others say he can. but even if he stays as a william's reserve driver next year, how much he can grow from there? i can't stop thinking about liam and compare them too, like, everyone loves him but it seems like he is going to be a rb reserve driver forever, and i don't want that for fran

but at the same time, if is not now...then when? i'm sure a lot of drivers would kill to be in fran's shoes right now, not everyone has the oportunity to race at least one gp, so i come back to be happy for him again lol

oh, and of course that i'm sad for logan, i don't think he deserved how he was treated, but at the same time i can't not be objetive and think that he has made a lot of mistakes, so i kinda get the why he is out. i just hope he can have a brighter future

ooooooo my opinion on it..... ig i can summarize it into a few quick points:

so so upset for logan... not really over the fact that he got kicked out mid-season (if you don't perform, you can't expect to stay. not all team principals are christian horner) because he should be happy that he even got the opportunity in the first place – but because of the false hope and promises that they would keep him the entire season. if they had been more open about "we're not sure about logan, we're trying to figure out what works best" then that would make more sense

so so happy for franco!! so so deserving and i think he will do a good job!! <33

but also lowkey torn because what does he do after this? he can go back to f2, that has happened before, but would that be a wise choice? with zak probably staying in f2, and luke probably graduating into f2, would williams want three drivers there? they're not rb with 294 drivers in f2/f3 😶 but even from before this, it wasn't looking too good for the williams juniors considering carlos and alex both being on multi-year contracts. 😕 being a reserve is definitely cool and i think he could learn a lot from that and eventually get a seat if one opens up, especially if he performs well this season! like see jack doohan! and idk but i believe liam will get a seat real soon soooo

and yes exactly like you said, all junior drivers would kill for an opportunity like this. even if it doesn't lead to a full-time seat, driving for just a few races is better than nothing!!! like even if ollie were to retire today, he could still say that he was an f1 driver once. everyone's dream 🥺

no matter what happens from here, franco will forever be able to say that he got the chance to be an f1 driver, if even for a few races. such a cool thing and definitely something he can cross off his bucket list. <3

i think despite the constant bad luck the two had the fact that they were so earnest was super endearing to me! also the slice of life vibes reminded me of the cartoons id watch growing up, i may be bit biased...either way i found them so cute together and when yhe last episode ended it felt too soonnnn i wanna see more !!

The slice of life aspect is probably the main reason why I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad they handled the plot so well in this aspect 😭

I think the director managed to give us the impression to be there with them, living the school life and feeling the first crush on your best friend. The actors, even the ones who played the minor characters (I've fallen in love with Leo Matsumoto, he handled Hosaka P E R F E C T L Y) were wonderful I've got curios on their next projects too (Wait for me Kentaro, I going to watch your historical drama 😭)

And yeah, I got the feeling, the series was short but the reason is because it's a manga adaptation...a very faithful one.

And since the source material is still on going and they didn't wanted to add any original plot points, they ended the series soon. It was a satisfying ending ngl, but you surely get left with wanting more to see.

I hope that we'll get a second season soon tbh, but we need to see if there's enough material to adapt 😅
