ctrlverse (stylized as CTRLverse, CTRLverse, or ctrlverse) is a roleplay verse based heavily off DSMP. it focuses on the untold stories of some of the characters as private bloggings about the events they experienced. it is not strict to the DSMP canon, and does not follow that timeline to the letter. anything goes in ctrlverse. almost anything, at least.

this blog is the equivalent of the vice president's private social media. open to manburgian citizens, people he follows, and denizens skilled at hacking.

notes on CT!Quackity, a.k.a (big) Q: CURRENT ARC: Manberg, well into the first year of Schlatt's rule. TAGS: under the cut.

he is AFAB transmasc, and currently only uses he/they pronouns. he has (undiagnosed and untreated) BPD. he is on the autism spectrum. Q also has GAD, which can cause anything from severe self doubt to a full-on shutdown. as Schlatt's vice, Quackity reserves the sole right to effect the decisions of Manberg's self-declared emperor, but more often than not finds himself doing paperwork instead, ad nauseam. married originally for tax benefits and public appearance, he takes relationships very seriously, and sometimes chases after the wrong ones. when he's not being eaten alive by work he participates in small games with the citizens– he's an avid gamer, and gambler, a bit of a cheat at cards. loves any chance for distraction. Q is a phoenix hybrid, who has only died once before. instead of being reborn when he does, he simply respawns– depending on the esempi territory, his lives are reset. he is currently down one from four (three respawns left). he often binds his wings at the same time that he binds his chest, and as such has mostly forgotten how to fly.

001. general 'do not interact' rules as well as rp etiquette apply here but i am pretty laidback about things. my hard rules for who i won't be mutuals with are the following: any mun or muse under 18 ( preferably not under 21 ), anyone who write real people ( both historical or currently living and "alternate" personas included ), blogs from the harry potter universe or have verses for it whether they're "anti-jkr" or "removed from canon", exhibit biases towards certain blogs / characters exclusively based on the race of their faceclaim ( yes, mostly writing with white muses is included ), faceclaims that are under 20 or consistently / overtly problematic.

003. my motivation fluctuates frequently so i may not always be here. do not feel obligated to reply quickly or to every single thread / meme you have from me. i understand losing motivation, it happens to me all the time. i expect the same courtesy to be extended, but at the same time, please do not follow if you have no intentions of interacting. i put a lot of time and energy into my oc and don’t want that to be wasted. i practice mutual exclusivity and i’m always open to being mains / exclusive with people as well as affiliates so feel free to ask if you’re interested!

004. i use BETA EDITOR with moderate formatting but if you need me to change my style to accommodate to you, i am more than happy to! i rarely use icons myself and have no preference for the way you format , but i do ask you don’t use screenshot replies with me as it’s hard for me to read. this blog will explore subject matter that can be deemed as nsfw and will be tagged as TRIGGERNAME /. i will not write any sexual content with anyone under 21, mun or muses.

005. my muse is multi-ship, with each one taking place in a different timeline unless plotted otherwise. though i am a big fan of romantic ships, due to past experience and the nature of this muse i am very selective with who i ship with and i do prefer to speak with the mun ooc on a regular basis before establishing a ship. i looove writing angst and drama so if you want to ship, please know you’re signing up for a lot of pain and suffering ( in the best way )!

BACKSTORY:

So she raised him like he was her own. And watched as he grew and grew and grew... He wasn't human, and he wasn't a bull... But whatever he was, he was her little boy and she was his mama... and she loved him very much. And it showed in the way he was raised. She taught him what it was to be loved and how to love in return, she taught him how to be gentle, and how to stand his ground when necessary, and when to run away. She taught him that he was different, that people might be afraid of him and it was safer to avoid strangers... but perhaps even more importantly, she taught him that although he was different, and others may hold fear over him through not understanding those who are different.... she taught him that there was nothing wrong with him.

There once was a german woman who was tired of her life. So she moved far, far away and started a new life, far from the cities and lights and convenience and into a life of calluses, sunburns, and cold nights. But she loved it, she did. It was everything she'd ever wanted, even if it was a difficult life-- all but living off the grid.

One day, she found something in the far edges of her field... She heard what she thought was a calf crying out for it's mama. And it was-- or so she thought. Until she got up close and held the poor thing in her arms. She didn't know what he was, this creature that had the head of a cow, and bend legs like one too -- but the body shaped like a child. A human. It mewled desperately in her arms, eyes still blue and unseeing in their newness. She looked around for days for the things mother, tried laying bait and asking around town if anyone had seen any odd creatures or stray cows, even... but to no avail.

Arlo loves music, westerns (like his mama), strawberries, and ranch animals. He was just a little boy that was different, helping his mama tend to the ranch and snuggling up with his stuffed animals when it came time for bed. One day, as life does... His mama got sick. He tended to her, and loved her in her final days, and when she didn't get better and died... he buried her out back, under the tree they'd spent so many afternoons reading comics and eating apples under.

He eventually got too big for the house, so squeezing in one last time, he grabbed what he needed (knocking a few things over unfortunately)-- a picture of him and his mama, his stuffed cow she'd made him when he was small, some clothes.... The essentials. And he moved into the old barn out back instead.

He's lived there by himself ever since... He still tends to the farm, bales the hay and harvests the crops, feeds the chickens and cows until they got too old and died too. And now... he's alone, mostly. Chickens were easy to tend to and breed, so were the goats. So now, if you walk a few miles out of your way, you might find this property... thriving somehow, under the watchful eye of what would appear to be in the distance to any unknowing traveler to be a large bull, laying down in the grass far away. Protecting his mama's house, and the things he loves.

He's a good boy man. He's gentle, and caring, and smart and full of life and love for life.... but he's also big, strong, and scary. Very scary. And extremely protective of the property. Nobody bothers him though, usually. He's had to defend himself once or twice... unfortunate as it was. But for as terrifyingly large and powerful a creature he is, he is good. His mama's love made him so. You can find him in his barn sometimes, listening to his radio, reading old comics, sitting on his bed he made. He's lonely... but it's okay. It's for the best, he thinks.

14. Are there other characters you drew inspo. from for your muse?

🌻🍯 OOC. I don't ever mean to be so vague with this response, but my answer remains the same no matter when this question is asked: I draw inspiration for Ari from many, many places & characters. I'm often inspired by accurate portrayals / depictions of children—specifically mannerisms & language—& there is an endless list of films, shows, & books worth mentioning. recently, I've been pulling a lot of inspiration from ANNE SHIRLEY from the Anne of Green Gables books, as well as the recent adaptation of the story on Netflix 😊 Lilo from Lilo & Stitch & Agnes from Despicable Me are a couple of other examples from where I've pulled ! I have to be careful when doing this, though, for I worry greatly about pulling too much from other characters that Ari is no longer herself — I do my best to keep her original 🌱

some of her characteristics are also inspired from the people I've met / that I value in my life. examples of this include some of her habits & a few of the names she gives her animal friends !
