This is a very poor choice to do to the Ultimate Assassin, someone trained to react to the slightest jerk of a hair. She draws her gun, and kicks the door in, shooting in the direction of the breathing she hears.

The crew had heard about their Mono friends being in the hospital, and had carpooled there to wish them a Happy New Year's. Sayaka and Junko went to Monokuma, the four current Kokichis (Assassin, Prostitute, Nurse, and a drunk Heir) went to Dam, Kaede and Mikan rushed to Mother, Miu rushed to Taro, Succubus Kirumi went immediately to Suke, Hero Ibuki ran to see Kid, Maki was quickly and worriedly with Nanokuma, and although Kayo wasn't present, a gift did show up for Phanie along with a card. My muses don't really know Kuro or Shiro all that well, so they sadly don't have any visitors. Even Nagito and Chiaki showed up for Usami! :D

"Ms. Maki?" *Nanokuma knocks on the door, trying to get Maki's attention.* "Ms. Maki, it's me. Nanokuma....Please answer me. I'm worried about you." *Nanokuma knocks on the door more, worried about Maki's wellbeing.* @human-monokuma

Maki looks at her digital clock. Three months. It had been three months since she was last seen. Stifling a groan, she was half-tempted to leave Nanokuma out there and say nothing. But this is Maki. She'd never leave a child out to the elements.

Willing herself out of bed, at first, seemed impossible. She didn't want to move. She didn't want to do anything. What was the point? Kaede, the love of her life, was gone... Nothing seemed worth it.

Why was she acting like this? She was supposed to be the Ultimate Assassin. She shouldn't be crying over spilled milk like this. She'd lost people before. So... why did it hurt so much? Why was this time so much worse?

Dragging herself to the door, she opened it. And... there, before Nanokuma, stood the former glory that was the Ultimate Assassin. She's shredded her flesh to pieces through some unknown means and her skin is marred with blood and tear stains.

"H-Hey, Nano..." she croaked wearily. Her hair is matted and all over the place, it's clear she hadn't taken it out of its place since Kaede deactivated. "I'm sorry you have to see me like this... Sorry, I'm sorry..." It sounds as though she isn't entirely talking about this situation, but she's grieving. "Come on in..." Her voice sounds like she hasn't spoken in weeks or drank anything in days.

As the camera flickers to life, a young girl with a red outfit and long brown pigtails can be seen glaring at the camera. She clears her throat, and begins speaking in a soft, monotone voice.

"Hello. My name is Maki Harukawa, Ultimate... Well, Ouma already exposed me. There's no point in lying. I'm the Ultimate Assassin. But as long as you aren't Ouma, you probably don't have anything to worry about. Probably."

"I've been... rather bored as of late, so I came here in hopes of finding my friends and meeting some new people. So... if you want to, promo me, or whatever."

There was a new kid in Hikari’s class. Rini Haruka. Her teacher said she had autism, but Hikari didn’t know what that meant. She thought it meant Rini was just shy.

At playtime, she tried to befriend Rini.

Rini didn’t respond as she was busy setting up her calico critters.

Still no response.

Hikari tilted her head confused. Maybe Rini didn’t hear her. She tapped on Rini’s shoulder, which startled her and she hid her face behind her ears.

Hikari frowned and thought Rini didn’t want to be her friend.

You come into a cafe and sit down. The server comes up to you with a menu. They smiles, or at least you think it’s a smile; you can’t quite tell behind the mask.

“Welcome to the Rose Café and Coffee. I’ll be your server for today. You may call me Korekiyo or Rose. Today’s special is the Petal-Caramel Latte. Please let me know when you are ready to order.”

Rose handed the menu over to you, then paused as if they noticed or realized something/someone.

Standing there in front of the door, out in the snow, were the Monos' friends and family, including Sayaka, Monaca, Kotoko, Komaru, Emma, Kanade, Hibiki, Sora, Yoruko, Tsumugi, Angie, Miu, Hiyoko, neko Shuichi, Sonia, the Council Of Sin, Kyoko, Kaito, heroine Ibuki, Sayori, Yuri, Natsuki, Monika, Maki, Chiaki, Chihiro, Nagito, pregame Kaede, the Mastermind group, even Tenko. And of course, the numerous Kokichis Dam has managed to befriend (Heir, Assassin, Incubus, Yande, Neko, Gambler, the two versions of Child, and surprisingly, even Remnant) and romance (Original, Pre, Pop, Prince, Nurse, Fem, TD, Villain, Animal Caregiver, and even Vamp has returned). A few Kokichis who haven't yet debuted aren't present but still left gifts. They've got a huge sack of presents for the Monos, and standing at the front of the crowd… is Junko.

The ever-present eyes of Maki and Kokichi bore into Kirā holding their fellow despair, each holding weapons of their own. It's a silent threat, saying if she doesn't release Kaito, they'll kill her.

Event: Mass Despair!

The sun was going down on the horizon, expectant to see a new dawn soon. But alas, the next morrow would dawn in despair. The hope had faded from those forcibly brainwashed onto the other side, and now they wanted others to suffer.

Sayaka Maizono (ask-sayaka-maizono), a formerly gentle and sweet idol whose voice now held nothing but despair. Her song drove those who heard it to the edge, either succumbing like their idol or taking their lives out of devotion to her.

Kotoko Utsugi (ask-kotoko-utsugi), a teasing and fun-loving young girl, and Monaca Towa (junko-enoshima-ii), a kid who had been pushed too far, stood at the forefront of a horde of Monokuma drones, killing random adults.

Kokichi Ouma (the-real-kokichi-ouma/kokichi-and-co [depending on who you are]), a strong leader whose morals were once against killing, is now forcing others to kill one another for their own lives to be saved.

Sonia Nevermind (the-princess-of-novoselic), a former Remnant Of Despair herself, had returned to her old ways, standing on a balcony and commanding her people to follow her despairing orders of suicide and murder.

Miu Iruma (a-sexy-inventor), the self-proclaimed "Gorgeous Girl Genius", fired off high-tech guns and missiles, careless for where they landed or who they killed.

Kyoko Kirigiri (ask-kyoko-kirigiri), a detective who once fought avidly against the side of despair, was now busy creating the most gruesome scenes of the murders committed by her fellow despairs.

Tsumugi Shirogane (the-plainest-of-janes), a sweet girl with a love of anime and an inferiority complex, disguised herself as random innocents and committed sinful crimes in their stead, getting hundreds of innocent people arrested and executed for her crimes.

Natsumi Kuzuryuu (the-real-natsumi-kuzuryuu), someone whose loyalty once depended entirely on her brother, had risen up with her own group, slaughtering whatever innocents they found in the streets.

Maki Harukawa (sinless-slaughter) was now as demented as her talent of Ultimate Assassin made her seem. She took sick pleasure in killing innocents, including using her fake talent to slaughter children in front of their families.

Tenko Chabashira (the-aikido-master) killed any man who refused to bow down and submit to despair, yet openly flirted with men to make herself fall further into despair.

(( LILAC DON'T LOOK AT THIS ONE)) Kaito Momota (starry-astronaut-kaito) had killed several by this point, painting constellations with their blood with Angie's help. He also blew up the space station.

Angie Yonaga (atuas-artist) painted a sickening mural of gore, using the severed appendages and blood of people in order to paint a horrifyingly disturbing picture on the wall.

Ibuki Mioda (ibukis-rocking) played the most ear-piercing melodies her despair-addled mind could come up with, successfully causing pain to anyone hearing the sound.

Chiaki Nanami (chiaki-the-gamer-girl) could now feel no true happiness with video games, so she, along with Kokichi, took to creating games of death where their "players" are forced to kill one another.

That doesn't seem to be entirely true, but whatever it is, she's not sharing it. She softly closes her arms around Nano and pets their head, rubbing their ears gently.

And almost immediately, he begins crying. Not his usual performative tears where he seeks attention, nor cries of fear... but cries of deep emotional pain. What happened?

A knock came to the family's residence, and outside stands Kokichi and Maki... together. Two individuals that clearly don't like each other. Kokichi looks to be noticeably in tears, while Maki is shifting from foot to foot nervously. Odd behavior for the both of them... Does anyone answer the door?
