"you're right, how could i forget?" she nodded as she a soft laugh vibrated through her. she moved to take a few steps back and motioned for him to follow her. "i just need to tell zera that i'm leaving and that she'll need to lock up, then we can take on the town-- the way we used to. i want to hear about everything you've been up to, so don't think you're getting out of that tonight."
bellamy smiled softly as he pulled away from the embrace and offered his ex-wife a loving smile. just because they had divorced didn't mean that he had ever stopped loving corey -- it was just a different kind of love these days. ❝ who's to say that we can't still go to dinner? since when have we ever let the late night hours stop us from having a good time? ❞

before she pulled away completely, her lips brushed his cheek as she continued to greet him. "it's good to see you too." a smile turned the corners of her lips upward, the love was still there, of course, but it was a different kind; a more familial kind of love. the best thing they did for each other was sign those papers, corey wished nothing but the best for him even to this day. "i wish i had known you would be here, we could have gone to dinner, xavier suggested some restaurants that i'm dying to try."
bellamy couldn't help but smile in response to corey's words. ❝ some better than others. ❞ he admitted honestly before wrapping his arms around her in a delicate embrace. ❝ it certainly has. it's good to see you, cor. ❞

before he even began speaking, she could tell exactly what he was going to say and the familiarity of it all caused a smile to soften her features. "you've had your moments." she responded with a nod, not letting it linger too long before she was extending her arms out to pull him into an embrace. "it's been a while, bell."
bellamy wasn't sure just how he'd wandered into the gallery, but here he was, admiring the various pieces that lay before him. he would never admit it out loud, but he'd always been a sucker for good art. it wasn't until a very familiar voice rang from the distance that he was pulled from his thoughts. turning towards the sound of the voice, bellamy offered his ex-wife a gentle smile. ❝ haven't i always? ❞
