vi's eye twitches as her mother chastises her about her . . . hobby. at least it's just about the fighting. vi doesn't want to get into the drinking tonight, not when her head is pounding and her knuckles sting. sighing loudly, vi stomps across the room and throws herself into the indicated chair, resting a leg over one of the arms.ㅤ“ㅤgood thing i didn't, then.ㅤ”ㅤthough most of her wounds say she might have a death wish.ㅤ“ㅤi'm . . . sorry.ㅤ”

"pit fighting?" her voice almost turns into a screech - of course all the bandaids on her daughter's face come from punching things. and now people too. "that's so irresponsible, violet." a sigh, head shaking from frustration. felicia's not even sure she wants to know for how long it's been going. "you could have died." and then they'd be both dead and what good would have come from that? "come sit here, let me clean up your face."

vi lifts her eyes to the other and makes a face.ㅤ“ㅤi didn't save your ass just so you could die because you're an idiot,ㅤ”ㅤshe repeats, lightly mocking her sister. taking a deep breath, her frame jolts at a sharp pain. instant karma. vi's nose wrinkles. just her luck.ㅤ“ㅤthanks for the sympathy, i feel so much better now.ㅤ”

Jinx blinks, her gaze snapping toward Vi. Her lips pull into a crooked grin, though the expression doesn’t reach her eyes. Finally, she lets out a low, breathless chuckle, her voice rasping as it cuts through the stillness. ❛ I didn’t save your ass just so you could die because you’re an idiot. ❜ The words spill from her mouth like smoke, airy and brittle, but there’s a teasing lilt to them, a thread of venom wrapped in something soft.

a small chuckle shakes her body, bringing forth a small groan of discomfort from vi's lips. wrinkling her nose, she makes a face at caitlyn. too soon for jokes. good to know.ㅤ“ㅤaw, come on, cupcake. s'gonna take a bit more than that to put me down for good.ㅤ”ㅤeverything aches, but that'll go unsaid. vi figures if she mentions it caitlyn might have a heart attack.ㅤ“ㅤcan relax now.ㅤ”

Caitlyn just stared at Vi as she reached her hand up to rub against the bridge of her nose. "Vi, that's not.... its not a good thing. You were out for days, you..." She took a breath, not wanting to say what the doctors had said. She had lost a lot of blood, and Vi had worried that she would lose Vi back at the commune. She hadn't even had a chance to apologize, to talk with her, anything!
