Yeah, Swedish media are very reliable with transfer rumours. Especially when they've gotten info from their own sources and not refer to foreign media. But even then they tend to publish only transfer rumours that are the most probable to turn out to be true and it has 9 of 10 times checked out.
We're actually able to show Swedish media's good track record with transfer rumours since back in the days when Marta left Umeå and Schelin left for Lyon 🤷🏻♀️ Below is a sample of at that time unconfirmed transfers. It's in no particular order and there's been more than one football media outlet in Sweden that wrote about these. I've limited the list for length reasons 😅

Unearthing Historical Sites in Sweden: A Glimpse into the Past
Sweden, with its rich cultural heritage and storied past, is a paradise for history enthusiasts. The historical sites in Sweden offer a journey through time, from the Viking Age to the grandeur of royal palaces. Join us as we explore some of the most fascinating historical landmarks across this Scandinavian country.
Kalmar
Kalmar, located on the southeastern coast of Sweden, is home to one of the country’s most significant historical sites: Kalmar Castle. This 12th-century fortress has witnessed numerous pivotal events in Swedish history, including the signing of the Kalmar Union in 1397. The castle's Renaissance architecture, well-preserved interiors, and informative exhibitions make it a must-visit. Kalmar's old town, with its charming cobblestone streets and historic buildings, further adds to the city's historical allure.
Västerås
Västerås, situated in central Sweden, is a city with deep historical roots. The city’s pride is Västerås Cathedral, a stunning structure dating back to the 13th century. The cathedral is renowned for its beautiful Gothic architecture and historical significance, as it is the burial place of King Eric XIV. Västerås is also home to the Anundshög burial mound, Sweden’s largest tumulus from the Viking Age, providing a fascinating glimpse into the ancient past.
Ystad
Ystad, located in southern Sweden, is a picturesque town known for its medieval charm and historical significance. One of the town's highlights is the Greyfriars Abbey, founded in the 13th century, which now houses a museum detailing the town's history. The town’s medieval buildings, such as the Ystad Theatre and the half-timbered houses lining the streets, create an atmosphere that transports visitors back in time. Ystad is also famous as the setting for the Kurt Wallander detective series, adding a modern cultural twist to its historical allure.
Norrköping
Norrköping, in eastern Sweden, is a city with a rich industrial heritage. The city's Industrial Landscape area is a unique historical site, showcasing the remains of the 19th-century textile industry that once thrived here. The old factories, water channels, and historic buildings have been beautifully preserved and repurposed, now housing museums, galleries, and cultural institutions. The Norrköping City Museum offers an in-depth look at the city's industrial past and its impact on Sweden’s development.
Helsingborg
Helsingborg, located on Sweden's southwestern coast, is home to Kärnan, a medieval tower that once formed part of a larger fortress built in the 14th century. The tower offers panoramic views of the city and the Öresund Strait. Helsingborg’s old town, with its historic buildings and cobblestone streets, adds to the city’s charm. The nearby Sofiero Palace and Gardens, a royal summer residence dating back to the 19th century, further enriches the historical experience.
Luleå
Luleå, in northern Sweden, is notable for its UNESCO World Heritage Site, Gammelstad Church Town. This unique historical site consists of over 400 wooden houses surrounding the 15th-century Nederluleå Church. The church town was a common feature in northern Scandinavia, where people stayed during religious festivals and markets. Gammelstad offers a rare glimpse into the region's cultural and religious history.
Örebro
Örebro, located in central Sweden, is home to the magnificent Örebro Castle. This medieval castle, dating back to the 13th century, has been meticulously restored and now hosts exhibitions and events. The city’s Wadköping Open Air Museum provides another historical experience, with its collection of traditional Swedish houses and buildings. Örebro’s historical sites offer a blend of medieval architecture and cultural heritage.
Conclusion
Sweden’s historical sites provide a rich tapestry of the country's past, offering insights into everything from Viking traditions to medieval architecture and industrial advancements. Each location tells a unique story, inviting visitors to step back in time and experience Sweden’s heritage firsthand. Whether you're an avid history buff or a curious traveler, exploring these historical landmarks promises a rewarding and enriching adventure.

Women’s Soccer Leagues
Posted on January 28, 2017 by womensathletics
https://womensathletics.wordpress.com/2017/01/28/womens-soccer-leagues/
I woke up this morning whining over the fact that the NWSL season was soooooo far away, and how terrible it was that my beloved Portland Thorns lost to…let me cool down for a second…The Western NY Flash. While I continued my internal rant on how Portland should have beat the Flash, and crunched on my avocado toast, it suddenly hit me.
I first realized that in order to have good avocado toast, my piece of bread required further toasting to give it the perfect crunchiness to softness ratio that my breakfast was clearly lacking at the moment. Additionally, it occurred to me that footy fans all over the world don’t spend precious Sunday morning grumbling about their least favorite NWSL team (by the way the Western NY Flash ceases to exist anymore, it was relocated to North Carolina to form the NC Courage). Instead, these fans have their own leagues (pro or semi-pro) and favorite players to discuss.
As a blog that promotes discussion of all aspects of women’s sports, it only makes sense to introduce the several different leagues of soccer across the world.
“FOOTBALL IS A UNIVERSAL SPORT, A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE”

im shook and also kinda., very nervous wtf this just gave me a very bad feeling
about the marta rumours? i still sort of refuse to believe it. idk i know her contract only runs through 2017 but i sort of never doubted that she’d renew it bc it’s rosengård and this is marta and she’s basically been adopted by sweden and jessica lives there. and like… no disrespect to the pride but say i was marta and i wanted to leave rosengård for idk money reasons (which i think would be the reason for a transfer and you can hardly blame her for that – rosengård is a great club but they can only pay her so much and you don’t make all that much on womens football in the first place), i would choose to go to china instead bc they’d probably pay more and didn’t she flat out refuse to go to china? in any way i’m pretty certain she would leave rosengård before they’re done with champions league and i strongly expect them to make to the semis at the very least so idk
it would be so depressing if she left rosengård though. she’s such an integral part of the team and it would be difficult to find someone to replace her
#also like signing with the pride would be the nwsl equivalent of her signing with örebro#girl you can do so much better than that lmao#but also like... if it's true does that mean amorgs isn't actually coming back?#this is all a MESS#wait but did you mean something non-marta?#bc if so i'm sorry for insinuating my own worries about marta leaving me (yes that would be me and not rosengård) onto your ask lmao#icb marta would leave me like that#anonymous#inquiring minds

V75 Solvalla 27 maj: Bold Eagle enda spiken
V75-5: 14 Just Wait nd See V75-vann före Call Me Keeper i Örebro över 3140 meter.

This is really interesting! One of the 🇸🇪 U19 Euro babies was bought by Häcken. They signed her over season 2026. It's one of the most expensive transfers within Sweden and definitely the biggest ever for a defender. The commentator mentioned during one the U19 games several clubs across Europe and in Sweden were after her signature. I'm delighted for her. shes definitely one for the future
KIF Örebro's 19-year-old defensive breakthrough Anna Sandberg - who has just played the F19-EM with the national team - is now leaving the club for further games with BK Häcken. This is clear after the clubs have agreed on a transfer for the young talented youth national team defender. The transfer means that KIF Örebro is implementing its largest player sale ever, and the transfer is to be regarded as one of the most expensive transfers in Sweden - and absolutely the most expensive ever for a defensive player in Sweden. Anna Sandberg came to KIF Örebro before the 2021 season, to play in the development team F19. Just a few months into that trip, she had impressed the A-team's head coach Rickard Johansson who saw great potential. A-team contract was offered and Sandberg was moved up in the club's damallsvenska squad. Then it was not long before the talent made the Damallsvensk premiere, was selected for his first youth national team gathering and secured a place in the Damallsvenskan starting eleven. In her debut season, she was also nominated for Breakthrough of the Year. Only 1.5 years later, Sandberg KIF leaves Örebro for Damallsvenska series colleague BK Häcken in a historically large deal.
- During my years as sports manager at KIF Örebro, this is by far the coolest transition. Anna came to us from games in division 1, where our F19 coach Niklas (Christensson) scouted her for our development activities. She he barely took the step to it before Rickard (Johansson) saw great potential in Anna as a left back, a role he retrained her for. To then see Anna's development on and off the field, I think we all in KIF feel an incredible pride before. She has done the job and our environment has made this journey possible. Now she will take the step to one of Sweden's strongest clubs and test her wings there. We are all extremely proud of Anna and happy that we and with this transfer secure both the club's biggest transfer of all time, but also probably one of the most expensive transfers ever for a player in Sweden. This transition is a win-win for all parties. For us, for Häcken and for Anna. We wish her good luck and know that she will be successful, says Jonas Nilsson, sports director at KIF Örebro.
In line with the club's strategy , Nilsson believes that the sale of Sandberg is completely in line with the club's long-term plan:
- Anna's journey is partly in line with our elite sports focus that we added in 2018, to invest in young hungry players. But also in the club's overall Strategy 2025, where we will do just that: create opportunities for us as a club to continue to develop and invest, by signing longer contracts with talented players and thus securing significant transfer fees. Something that is a relatively new phenomenon in women's football. We have to be on this train, and this transition shows that we are. But also that we are a good club for talent to come to to be able to take the next step in their careers.
Johansson: "Both gratifying and sad" Head coach Rickard Johansson comments on the transition:
- For me, it is both extremely gratifying and sad that we are now releasing Anna. Of course an enormous joy in having seen Anna take such big steps with us that she can now go to one of Sweden's best clubs. But it is also a transition with sadness, because Anna has really been one of ours. Where we picked her up from F19 after only a month when the pre-season started. We gave the opportunity, she took the chance. I still remember her shock when I said we wanted to retrain her left-back. A position she never played in before, but where I saw that her quality would come into its own. Since we put her in the starting eleven against FC Rosengård that year, she has completely shut down her edge and made it difficult for our opponents, says Johansson, and continues:
- Her journey took a rocket speed with us, at the same time I see that it has only just begun. In my eyes, she will soon be a given A national team player. Another gratifying part is that this is another player in the line who came to our environment in KIF Örebro and got the development she needed. It makes me proud! I both thank and congratulate Anna very much.
Sandberg: "The time in KIF Örebro has made me the elite player I am today" The main character himself comments on the step like this:
- My time in KIF Örebro has been extremely educational, and fun in every way. KIF has helped me develop into the elite player I am today. And they have always believed in me, and just given me the impression from day one I came here to F19 and then the A-team. This is a time I am very grateful for, and I will always look back on it with a smile on my face, says Anna Sandberg, and continues:
- I also want to thank our fans for this time, and the fantastic support that I always known on the pitch. Will miss them! I would also like to thank those who wrote to me personally and cheered. It has meant a lot!
Strong partners enable realized football dreams KIF Örebro's club manager Johan Gabrielsson Jonsson believes that KIF Örebro's partner network has been important:
- It feels very good that we are involved in realizing Anna's football dream, as that is exactly what we work for. Women's football is constantly taking steps, and this is a huge step for both us as a club and for Anna. It feels great. And on this trip are our partners who have been involved and made possible longer agreements with players like Anna. Precisely so that we can work on developing them and then enable transitions like these. This is how we realize football dreams in a way that is sustainable for women's football. We are grateful for our strong partners who believe in our journey and in players like Anna. We all wish her luck now!
