Pokemon AU (panels read right to left, start from the left page)

A list of everyone's teams are (warning: long post):

Shinichi/Conan:

Stoutland: He received it as a Lillipup from his parents and it has been his partner since. It's also a very responsible pokemon and makes sure Shinichi doesn't get into (too much) trouble.

Absol: He caught it in New York during the golden apple case. It's a very gentle pokemon but freaked Ran out when it first appeared.

Scorbunny: It's Conan's pokemon. It randomly started following him around during one of his cases, and he decided to catch it to try and separate Conan from Shinichi since Shinichi 'left' his pokemon with Conan but eventually got attached to it. It's very playful and has very strong kicks.

Ran:

Bewear: It hung around Teitan elementary when it was a Stufful, and Ran begged Shinichi to help her catch it since he was the only one with a pokemon at the time. Her parents were surprised when she brought it home, but it quickly became part of the family. It has a tendency to hug Shinichi a lot, who swears that it wants him dead.

Lopunny: Yukiko gave it to her as a gift before Shinichi's parents left. It's very strong and often accompanies Ran during karate training.

Minccino: It's not technically Ran's as she hasn't caught it, but it lives near the agency and always attempts to clean up Kogoro's messes. Ran's thinking about catching it but is worried that Minccino might not want to be caught since it was initially shy.

Sonoko:

Leavanny: Shinichi and Ran helped her catch it because she wanted a pokemon, and her mother wouldn't let her have one. She didn't like it at first but grew to love it after it saved her from an ursaring. Her mother wouldn't let her keep it at first, but she was stubborn, and eventually, her father convinced her mother to let it stay.

Furfrou: Her father received it during a business trip abroad, but didn't have the time to take care of it so he planned to give it away, but Sonoko begged him to let her keep it. It enjoys going shopping with her.

Meowth: It was Makoto's but it immediately got attached to her and since he goes on a lot of tournaments she offered to take care of it for him. It's protective of her (as all Makoto's pokemon are) which causes her to get a bit annoyed, but it's also very spoiled.

The Detective Boys:

Conan caught them because he believed the detective boys needed pokemon since they may get into some dangerous situations.

Ayumi has an oddish, Mitsuhiko has an elekid, and Genta has a magby. They happened to find the three while playing in a park and Conan decided they'd be a good catch since the three pokemon were already friends.

Eventually, the detective boys each capture a pokemon themselves as well. Ayumi -> Igglybuff Mitsuhiko -> Morelull Genta -> Cubone

Haibara

As Shiho, she didn't have any pokemon, as the BO only saw pokemon as tools/weapons and no members owned one. It took her a while before she opened up to the idea of having one.

Solosis: After deciding to have a pokemon, the detective boys make it their mission to find the perfect one. This lead to them being dragged into a case (as usual) which involved a man who worked a pharmaceutical company and solosis was his pokemon. They solved the man's death, with some assistance from solosis, who was left without trainer at the end of the case, so Haibara decided to take solosis. Since it helped its previous trainer with his job, it made an ideal partner for Haibara.

Gengar: Haibara caught it on her own. It would follow her around sometimes before she caught it (or solosis) and she'd make some analogy to it being a dark shadow of her past, so she fought it with solosis to stop it from following her, but ended up catching it. It ended up being Elena's old pokemon that was eventually released after her death. Although it seems like a scary pokemon, it is very kind and sweet and was following her around to protect her.

Agasa:

Magnemite: One of Agasa's first partners. It's very ditzy and clumsy. It would sometimes make its way to Shinichi's house and shock him in his sleep. It still does that to Conan whenever he comes over.

Klang: A pokemon Agasa caught when he traveled to Europe for a convention. It's a silent pokemon and loves to help Agasa around with his inventions. Shinichi says it's more reliable than Magnemite.

Togedemaru: Agasa recieved it from a trade with Fusae before she moved away. It is very responsible and overall Haibara's favorite due to the fact it puts a lot of effort into ensuring that Agasa maintains a healthy diet. Together, they are his nightmare. Shinichi, Ran, and Sonoko used to play a lot with it, as the detective boys do now.

Heiji:

Arcanine: On one of his 'adventures' as a child, Heiji found a wild Growlithe that was hurt. He snuck out a lot of food and bandages from home to try to help it until his parents found out and took it to a center. He was allowed to keep it as long as he didn't go out alone at night anymore (to which he agreed because you're no alone if you have a pokemon, right? Also, what his dad doesn't know won't hurt him.) As an arcanine, it's very loyal and strong, in which Kazuha says, "like trainer, like pokemon." It's also very playful and can pin Heiji down very easily when roughhousing.

He also has a Braviary and a Sirfech'd (that he received from his father)

Kazuha:

Xatu: When she was a kid, she woke up one morning to a Natu at her window and swore to Heiji that it was a sign. She begged him to help her catch it and they spent the whole week trying to find it again before eventually giving up. When she woke up the next morning, she found it again at her window, and with no hesitation, she threw a pokeball at it and immediately caught it. She calls it her lucky partner. Heiji gets unnerved by its staring.

Kogoro:

Slaking: He caught it as a vigoroth when he was still on the judo team. It's generally a lazy pokemon, but when the situation arises, it's an excellent fighter. Shinichi privately calls it the "second embodiment of laziness" the first being Kogoro himself.

Watchog: It was Eri's. She left it with him to make sure he was taking care of himself, although he thinks it's more of a nagging nuisance instead.

TSSM Pokemon Au Part 3

I watched some Pokemon videos and decided to give TSSM characters Pokemon for fun! This is also going off of @hermesserpent-stuff ‘s Spider Nephew Au. Also, there might be some people with the same Pokemon for different reasons; either they fit two people, or it’s to match with someone. I also base some of these Pokemon in different ways, from types, aesthetics, Pokedex Entries, jobs, powers, and backstories. I also won’t mind explaining my reasoning because I did a lot of research for them. Also, I tried o make sure they had diverse types, but some people might have more than 1 of the same type. Another thing is that I like to imagine that Peter and the other villains have 3 Pokemon for their civilian image and then the other 3 for their hero/villain work. 

The last thing is that I have only played up to Generation 8, and I have yet to play the other games. So my bad, if there is another Pokemon that suits them better.(let me know plz)

I will highlight their starter and their strongest. Red is their strongest, and blue is their starter. Purple is both. Any that has a * are their secret team.

His first Pokemon was a Remoraid he befriended in the water. Then a Solosis to help him with his science project until Remoraid turned into an Octillery he had more hands. As he got older and worked on with more heavy machines, he caught a Beldum and quickly evolved it to Metagross. Since he still wanted to be hands-on with his project with some distance without using his Pokemon, he created his tentacles after Octillery. After becoming Doc Ock, he caught more Pokemon with longer limbs like him.

Adrien did catch Pokemon when he got older since he wasn’t sure what he wanted. After catching Skarmory, he got into robotics and got inspiration from Skarmory. Since he wanted to make a suit that a person could fly with, he caught multiple Pokemon, not just Flying-type Pokemon. He caught types that can fly too to study them.

Max started out with a Rotom he found in an abandoned mansion. He then got a Mankey when he found Rotom messing with it. Even though Max was very chill, he got along well with Mankey. Then he got a Magnemite after dropping out of school and started working. After he became Electro, he was actually found by Toxtricity when he was fighting Spiderman and wanted to help. After breaking free, he got Grapploct from Otto. Then he found Stunfisk alone, needing a full team to fight Spiderman.

Flint started with a Machop when he was younger as he watched some Machamps work in construction. He likes the idea of big and strong Pokemon since he believes he wasn’t smart enough for certain jobs; he can at least do heavy labor. He then gets a Heracross he finds in the woods. As he grew up and had a job, he felt like he wasn’t getting enough and that it wasn’t fair that he can barely make a living as he rooms with Alex O’Hirn. When they turn to crime as the answer, they decide to get another Pokemon to help them, which is why he caughtThievul it it can steal and an Excadrill to break into buildings. When he was taken by Hammerhead to Osborn’s secret lab and told that they were trying to do an experiment, he agreed. As he was being hooked up, he noticed a Palossand. He didn’t know that they were trying to put Pokemon DNA on people. When he was turned into Sandman, he took Palossand with him. As he tested his new powers, he accidentally bumped into Steelix as they were both in the ground and caught it.

When Alex was younger, he didn’t really care what Pokemon he caught first since he just wanted a friend. He caught Stuffle as soon as he saw it. Then he befriended a Poliwag later when he went to a pond. As he got older, he caught a Machoke for a job. He ended up meeting Flint, and both became friends. Even as they moved in with each other, they still had money problems and agreed with Flint on stealing. For this, he caught a Sableye. When it was his turn to be experimented on, they tried to recreate Pokemon’s skin as armor to put on people. O’ Hirn saw a Rhyperior in a glass case when he was there. When he becomes Rhino and releases Rhyperior. While joining the Sinister Six, he caught an Aggron. 

Toomes’ Staraptor looks after Harry’s Taillow since his owner does the same with Harry. 

Octillery is Otto’s friendliest Pokemon since it remembers what Otto was like before all of this happened. It hopes he turns back to the softer person he was and won’t look down on others. 

Bewear can now hug Rhino without worrying that she might crush his owner. 

No one can tell the Machokes apart except for O’Hirn and Flint. 

Primate is ready to throw hands for Electro anytime he gets mad. 

Otto has his Grapploct wear a collar to tell his apart from Electro’s

Flint likes making sandcastles with Palossand for fun. 

Peter might be seen riding Steelix or any other large Pokemon and it makes Otto worry a lot.

Let’s Go on an Adventure → (Clemont/Aurea)

((A starter for @aureajuniper for a narration of our Let’s Play Adventure with our muses!))

The boat to Kanto had arrived very late that evening, and the modest port of Pallet Town didn’t boast any real hotels or motels. The hamlet was so far out of the way that even the docks seemed seldom used, save for the fishermen who made their living off the sea day in and day out.

Clemont’s accomodations came in the form of a nice woman who rented out her rooms in the form of a bed-and-breakfast style establishment. Clemont had noted that he wasn’t the only one who had sought shelter there, but he was already well on his way to bed before he even had the chance to say hello. Suffice to say, the boat ride from Kalos had taken a lot of out of him, and he’d grown especially tired from that strange game of cat and mouse with what he speculated to be the ship’s resident Magnemite.

But Clemont felt well-rested enough that he raised himself from his bed with a long stretch of his arms and a yawn before blearily looking towards the soft morning light flitting through the translucent curtains that adorned the cozy window of his temporary abode. Still wrapped in his nightgown, Clemont drew back the curtains, squinting as the full radiance of the rising sun greeted him. He grunted in reflex as he drew his face away for a moment before it all came back into focus. The greenery of the Kanto region was a different hue than Kalos: deeper and seemingly more rugged. Perhaps that was simply the wilds around Pallet Town, but Clemont knew he would soon find out.

The only distraction from that came in the form of his Portable Wifi-Inducing Multi-Media and Storage-Communications Device Mk 3 buzzing with an email from someone who he’d been corresponding with since he’d been selected to come to Kanto. The contents glossed over a few, last minute preparations and tips on the coming days and weeks. It was signed ‘Thaddeus’, who Clemont had come to learn was in fact the child of one of Professor Oak’s own Aides. Clemont was appreciative of the assistance, no doubt, but it was all information he had thoroughly researched ahead of time. After all, this was an unprecedented opportunity, and he wasn’t going to let it go to waste for lack of preparation.

After getting himself dressed and ready for his new adventure, courtesy of invitation from the world famous Professor Oak, Clemont found himself walking down the stairs with a mix anticipation and nervousness. He had at least focus enough to thank the kindly woman on his way out after paying his due for the night in before stepping out and making his way towards the lab, the pinks of the sun-risen sky fading into a healthy blue as a breeze whipped behind him, as though ushering him with a hearty ‘Let’s Go!’ before he picked up his pace.

“I’m ready!” Clemont breathed out, “I’ve worked hard for this! I won’t let them down!”

The look on his face matched the determination in his mind as the lab drew ever closer, step by step.

Summary: Emmet angy bc Ingo got isekaied to middle of nowhere Nevada. Emmet seek out MissingNo, the ever mysterious reality distortionist responsible for multiple cases of psychosis in trainers and the reason as to why Kanto's champion abandoned his region for years on end. Emmet find the MissingNo and catch it. Turns out it's just a regular pokemon thats a little fucked up but really likes Sitrus berries. Somehow that leads into him becoming some sort of babysitter for the funky fellas in "Glitch city".

Aka, the AU where Emmet becomes a crazy cat lady but with world-ending Glitchmons instead of sneasels. Help him.

Obviously a very brief and missing the point-ish explanation but if I go any further this is gonna turn into a 6000+ word analysis

Thinking about pokemon au and how Instead of giging them starter pokemon, each professor has a field of wild pokemon where new trainers are given pokeballs and told to catch one pokemon to start their team.

How Sasuke would go in wondering what pokemon he’s going to choose, when a magnemite comes out of no where and refuses to let him catch it, meaning he HAS to make that his partner pokemon

Naruto going in and immidiatly chucking his pokeball at the first thing he see’s because he’s excited, and ending up with a very spunky pidgy or vulpix.

Sakura sitting there for hours, long after the other two have finished, not knowing what pokemon to choose when an adorable jigglypuff comes waltzing up to her and boops her pokeball, deciding that it’s going to be her pokemon and help her get as strong as she can

Astro Boy Pokemon AU

HMMM

dr. tenma was one of the people working on the rotomdex (or at least a variant) and similar rotom-human assistive devices to the point of neglecting his actual son, tobio.

...until tobio storms off when it gets to be too much to the point he doesn’t even get to try out for a trainer’s license after being promised by his father and dies in some of accident, as always; just as always, tenma is utterly destroyed and tries to “fix” it--but in this case, the robot body he builds is based on rotom, and he even gets a freshly-hatched rotom to lock in there permanently along with false memories that he thinks tobio should have.

New Tobio knows he’s not a human, but it takes a very long time until he learns he’s not only an AI, particularly since he spends his first year or so locked in the house away from everybody else, and his robot skin doesn’t let his rotom stuff shine through.

as a pokémon, whether or not he knows it, he can sort of understand others. this is what leads him to eventually “rebel” by sneaking out--he gets into a fight with tenma (who is trying but is not good at being a dad, especially since he’s deeply in denial this isn’t the tobio that’s always been) and hears some shuppet chattering just outside the windows, and he’s so caught up in listening and so tired of the house he just...follows them once dawn comes.

by floating. he can float. he did not know he could float until he was stepping out of the third-story window so OKAY COOL.

he jumps on the idea of becoming a trainer, since that was Real Tobio’s last wish, and follows random kind folks’ advice until he gets several towns over and meets dr. ochanomizu, a retired pokémon professor, who helps him catch a magnemite. 

ochan’s interest is piqued when this kid (who does not actually tell him his name) catches that magnemite by asking it. even the most enthusiastic pokémon usually need the ball thrown at them to get the hint, so...what does that mean? the kid’s naive and sweet and he’s worried, so he’ll keep an eye on him. just because he’s retired doesn’t mean he’s entirely out of touch!

"astro boy”/”iron-arm atom” gets those names after being caught floating around/carrying somebody much bigger than him out of the way of a rampaging rhyhorn.

tenma comes calling before long, since he did make sure to build “tobio” indestructible, and a kid going head-to-head with at least one strong pokémon is pretty distinct!

astro heads off through the region, running from tenma and trying to collect gym badges for a while before he realizes that isn’t really what he wants. 

the team he gathers are mostly peaceful and would rather do their own thing than battle, too. he mostly ends up with ghost-type pokémon, other than magnemite/magneton. he finds they’re easiest to talk to.

he meets plenty of trainers and former trainers and pokémon from all walks of life. can’t decide what he wants yet, but he knows how much there is, so the region-wide chase slowly shifts to a worldwide one, with ochan giving up on a sedate retirement and astro gathering other human and pokémon friends who sometimes come with him and always cover him from his super weird dad.

I figured I would post this outline for a pokemon au that I’m never going to write. it’s basically notes from a conversation I had back in early 2018? Imagine my surprise going back now and realizing this might read much like Detective Pikachu - cubone is just my favorite pokemon

***before we get into anything please know that while I play pgo and I’ve learned LOTS of new pokemon, I’m still the most familiar and attached to the og 150 + 1. I also probably get a lot of canon pokemon rules and history wrong but my heart is in the right place

premise: keith might not be a pokemon person

but pokemon are definitely a keith person

- for unknown reasons keith docks in cuba, he's kind of just been getting work and moving moving always moving because one place never works out for long. pokemon are everywhere but it's not his thing.

it never happened for him besides why would he make an animal be saddled with him? there's no stability there. and again, he's always moving. through so many different regions.

he doesn't have the heart to yank a sandshrew onto a barge across the atlantic or a charmander up the northeast coast of the US. he can barely take care of himself. and it's weird by now. to not have a pokemon by now. they were everywhere and so normalized.

they were part of everyday school curriculum and even in hospitals and rescue stations. which is another reason why he never stayed in one place very long because not having a pokemon didn't incite people to trust you.

bc even team rocket (team rocket still sounds so much better than team galra but team rocket is the galra) had pokemon that bonded and trusted them.

he gets a room and some horrible job on the coast and basically just gets by. tries not to cause trouble or get caught or encourage rattatas or a caterpie to follow him home because they could still smell half the lunch he didn't eat tucked in his bag

- i'm plotting by the seat of my pants but what really kick-started all of this was the thought of Keith finding a wounded cubone in the middle of the night.

it's too dark and raining to tell what animal or pokemon attacked it or if it was a person that fractured the skull he wore enough for a piece to break off along the jaw

the cubone sustained a mean looking scrape to its face and this is not what keith needs right now but he can tell the cubone's crying and kind of just accepted what's happened and it keeps pawing at the missing piece in the skull and keith may not actively interact with pokemon but he doesn't hate them and he still has a heart.

he's docked in cuba and his spanish just gets him by to get food and money and not anger anyone

he didn't think the barge's docking region through all of the way so he's got a cubone to help with rudimentary spanish that sucks on the best day but he's going to try and get the cubone help

he starts rushing through streets and people's yards because he could have swore the town had a gym he passed but in the dark and rain it takes him a full hour to find the gym.

- duh it's closed but he's at least going to bang on the doors and hopefully it's going to set off an alarm or something

the police will show up or someone will be able to take the cubone where it needs to go. his hand is numb from knocking as hard as he could before the door is whooshed open and someone is spitting rapid fire spanish like venom and he thinks he manages to get out that he can really only speak english and shoves the cunbone into their hands.

before he knows it, he's being yanked by his collar into the gym and down hallways and finally into the blinding lights of the pokemon center on sight.

there's more spanish and faces that look so similar that its clear it's a family that runs the gym.

- beep beep guess who's family owns and runs the gym

the pokecenter is actually a rehabilitation center founded and run by the McClain family for several generations

he gets questioned after the cubone is taken back behind the doors and it takes someone repeatedly snapping their fingers in front of his face to get him to come back to the conversation.

his name's keith, he's from the US, he just found the cubone - no he doesn't know if it has an owner, doesn't even know if it’s wild or if it has a nearby pack or how it got hurt or how long it’s been hurt.

but keith,

keith is his name and he can at least answer that.

he stays there over night and finds out that Marco is the one that answered the door. Veronica is the one to actually examine him because he looks like he's about to pass out.

their mother is the one to assure him the cubone would be fine - her daughter Rachel attends to injured pokemon and gets another son Luis to show Keith to a room in their house and keith passes out the second he stumbles to a bed.

- in the morning, when he goes to the bathroom and is in the middle of washing his hands, another son is banging on the door for Marco to get out of the bathroom and that's the first time he meets lance

when Keith yanks the door open he tells him to freaking stop because he's clearly not marco.

an older man, probably come to break up a fight, stops and blinks at keith before shouting over his shoulder about not remembering having or getting another kid (arthur "and who are you???" weasley style)

(our boy Lance has a minor panic about the cute random guy is his bathroom at 8 a.m.)

Keith gets shoved down at a table covered in food for breakfast and can't keep up he definitely has a headache and is ready to throw himself through a window when he's asked about his pokemon and if they need help too

he doesn't have pokeman and never has had one and isn't really interested and this family has centered their entire lives around it

- he sees the cubone again, in recovery and it paws a little at his hands in thanks

over the next few days, he stays with them and somehow gets roped into doing chores around the facility and given an assigned seat at their table for meals and he's just T H R O W N

they literally have an arbok taking a nap in a hammock in their backyard and a pod of seadras in an olympic pool in the gym just hanging out (doing little races between each other or chasing each other)

a vulpix he learns belongs to one of the McClain siblings (Rachel) sunbathes and sniffs at his feet while he’s working in the yard

and there's a persian destroying blinds in the living room window and a charizard in the kitchen

and some random small children he learns are marco's are throwing or shooting across the floor fridge magnets as a game with a magnemite

- begrudgingly on McClain’s part, keith’s assigned to Lance for being shown around the rehab center

lance takes him to the beach and out into the middle of the ocean on a boat

Keith: "this is where you feed me to a gryados"

Lance: "close"

and a freaking L A P RA S pops up out of the water and clicks at lance and makes little waves in his direction and they do a damn forehead touch he's crazy this is crazy

Keith: "YOU HAVE A LAPRAS???!!!!" - because even keith who doesn’t do pokemon knows what the heck a lapras is

Lance "I don't have a lapras. Nobody owns her. We just give her her room and protect or heal her when she needs it"

- the next few weeks see lance having to admit keith isn’t so bad and that just because he doesn’t have a pokemon, it doesn’t mean he actively dislikes them

the cubone is attached to keith - despite his bad attitude, lance says

this is the initial thought that kicked this off: keith asks if they have a 3D printer and once the cubone's injury is fully healed, he makes a mold for the missing piece and fits it in place

lance denies crying

"you've done one (1) good thing, kogane"

- then the real plot kicks in when the lapras is captured and taken from the beach by team rocket

lance blames keith because of the timing, because of keith's vague answers on where he's from, why he has no friends or family, no pokemon

insert painful, raw, yelled, "I TRUSTED YOU"

keith convinces him he's not part of team rocket and the main story starts where lance and keith leave to go after the lapras and return her to cuba.

- before they leave, rachel throws a pokeball at keith "i think your cubone might like this one"

and lance's eyes get huge because he knows what it is and then a pokemon is coming out of the pokeball

and it's a marowak

the cubone very carefully and slowly approaches her and the marowak just watches and waits. the cubone brushes its bone across the marowak's foot and then approaches and okay keith's eyes definitely water as he watches this marowak kind of take in the cubone.

(THE CRITICAL HIT COMES WHEN THE CUBONE EVENTUALLY EVOLVES. I like to think maybe through poke-magic the skull fixes itself when he evolves and the cubone hands the 3d mold back to keith and gets keith to put it on a chain safe for his skin to wear the 3d mold piece still)

- obv they get the lapras back,

they find out keith's mom was a double agent ofc for the team rocket faction that took the lapras

they meet hunk and pidge and allura and coran and romelle and others along the way to take down team rocket because what’s a pokemon au without the power of friendship

- keith and lance wait at the airport in cuba

it's for shiro, he had let keith travel because he saw that keith needed to find room to grow and find who he was

obviously keith is not 10. he and lance are 17.

anyways he rushes keith and pulls him into a big hug and tells keith how proud of him he is

the first thing lance tells shiro is about the time keith almost stepped on an exeggcute and how they chased him

or the time he almost sustained a skull fracture from a taurus and the time a seel thought keith was its mom

there was also that time with a magby-

keith: “OKAY LANCE WE GET IT THANK YOU”

BONUS:

keith being mildly terrified of the pokemon hanging around the McClain properties

Lance: "if you want to lay in the hammock just move him"

Keith: "just move him?! it's an arbok not a lap dog"

a nest of torchicks gets laid in the backyard and follows keith for two days after they hatch and lance laughs so hard he cries because keith can't shake them and he winds up tripping and they all jump on top of him

keith might not have been a pokemon person

but pokemon are definitely a keith person

Code Lyoko Pokemon AU

Jeremy is from the Johto region and specializes with electric and steel type Pokemon. His father was a Pokemon researcher and Jeremy wants to follow in his father's footsteps by traveling the world and discovering as many different types of Pokemon as possible. He starts his journey on a mission to collect data for the Pokemon Professors, which will hopefully benefit all of their research. His starter Pokemon, despite being from Johto, is a Beldum. When he was younger, he accompanied his father on a research trip to Hoenn when they encountered an injured Beldum. Jeremy had insisted they bring the wild Pokemon to the Pokemon center and was by its side the entire time. The Beldum had bonded with Jeremy and the two had become inseparable ever since.

Jeremy's complete Pokemon team includes his Beldum/Metang/Metagross, Magnemite/Magneton, Rotom, Porygon, Bronzor, and a Joltik/Galvantula.

Ulrich comes from Hoenn, and comes from a family of gym leaders. There's a lot of pressure on Ulrich to one day take over the gym and be Hoenn's master of fighting types. And of course, because of his family, he specializes with fighting types. His starter pokemon was a Torchic, a decision pushed upon him by his family because Torchic's evolutions are dual fire and fighting types. Ulrich, frustrated with the expectations set up for him, ran away from home to try his hand at becoming the Pokemon Champion. His thought process is that if he can accomplish something no one else in his family has, maybe they will back off and leave him alone. What he doesn't anticipate is that, if he did become the Pokemon Master, his family would pressure him to settle for nothing but the best and hold that position. The first person he meets on his journey is Odd, because he helped Odd out in a jam. Ever since then he hasn't been able to shake him, not that he really minds if he is being honest.

Ulrich's complete Pokemon team includes his Torchic/Combustion/Blaziken, Heracross, Croagunk/Toxicroak, Scraggy/Scrafty, a Rhyhorn/Rhydon, and Honedge/Doublade/Aegislash

Ulrich does catch other Pokemon that aren't fighting types at all like a Misdreavus, Spoink, and Houndour. But he tends to keep them in the PC box/safe with Professor Birch at his lab and only call on them when he needs them. Old habits with using only fighting types die really hard. Honedge is also a nod towards the sword and Ulrich's Lyoko weapon in the series.

Odd, on the other hand, unlike Ulrich and Jeremy, doesn't have any type preference whatsoever. He has more of an appearance aesthetic but even then he doesn't hold strictly to it. Odd came from a family of Pokemon lovers, and comes from Kalos. His family run a Pokemon Daycare and as such, Odd has a lot of hands on experience working with all types of Pokemon. His starter Pokemon was Fennekin, whom he loves to pet and is not too particular about keeping in their Pokeball at all times. Odd just wants to travel the globe with his Pokemon for the fun. He's not on any particular mission like Ulrich or Jeremy to accomplish a grander goal. He's just there for the ride and to make memories.

The first person Odd meets in the group is Ulrich. Odd had been rushing to the Pokemon Center with his Pokemon because of a really difficult battle he'd been in for fun. Who knew a Bonsley could pack such a punch right? At the time, Odd only had two Pokemon with him, and his Teddiursa had fainted in the previous battle. Fennekin wasn't exactly in tip top shape either but he ran into two biker goons who were trying to get him into a double battle he had no chance in winning in order to get into the Pokemon center. It was pure luck on his part that Ulrich showed up when he did, sending out his Torchic and Heracross to protect him. Ever since then, when they walked side by side into the Pokemon center, Odd had seen Ulrich as a friend for life and stuck by him ever since. And Odd is always repaying the favor, battling alongside Ulrich whenever needed in double or even triple battles. Odd was also the one who roped the both of them into Aelita and Jeremy's lives.

Odd's complete Pokemon team includes his Fennekin/Braixen/Delphox, Teddiursa/Ursaring, Magikarp/Gyarados, Eevee/Glaceon, Gligar/Gliscor, and Purrloin/Liepard

Odd has loads more Pokemon than this, such as a Meowth/Persian, Slakoth, Mime Jr., Taillow/Swellow, and a Pansage. He is also the only one to nickname all of his Pokemon. Fennekin is nicknamed Kiwi (because what else would his starter Pokemon be called even if they aren't a dog based Pokemon), Teddiursa is Lychee, Magikarp is Mango, Eevee is Avens, Gligar is Durian, and Purrloin is Aster. Most of these names are based on fruit and all of them are technically based on plants. Meowth is named Maple, Slakoth is Galen, Mime Jr. is Murphy, Taillow is Lula-Belle, and Pansage is Clover.

Delphox's ability to stare into the fire and see the fire is a nod towards Odd's old Future Vision ability and Glaceon's ability to freeze its fur and shoot it out like needles is a nod towards Odd's laser arrows. Odd, as a lover of animals, is destined to always have the most Pokemon. The Pokemon he does not carry with him are transfer to his home, where they are well loved by his family.

Yumi is the only one of the group who doesn't come from a family with a history with Pokemon. She grew up in Kanto, in Saffron City, and her family was not particularly attached to Pokemon. They didn't hate Pokemon, but they didn't really see the value of traveling with Pokemon and training with them. It was never really a desire of theirs. Yumi's starter Pokemon was an Abra, who she had found abandoned in the city. The Abra's previous owner had abandoned him because the only move the Pokemon knew was Teleport and was, in their view, impossible to train. Yumi had found the injured and scared Pokemon being harassed by a group of older kids who had Pokemon of their own. Despite being late for her martial arts lessons, Yumi had started to fight the older trainers with nothing but her fists and her martial arts skills. The trainers had laughed at her and beat her up, even having their Pokemon tackle her to try and scare her off. It hadn't worked and she fended off the three until they were fed up dealing with her. Yumi took the Abra with her to practice, hiding it in her bag and in the changing room because she was scared they'd come back. She also secret took the Abra home and hid it in her room. Of course, her parents found out that Yumi had brought a Pokemon home without their permission and they were mad. They were proud what she did, they raised her to protect anyone being treated poorly, but still angry. But they agreed that as long as Yumi took responsibility for the Abra, the Abra could stay.

Yumi's bond with her Abra was the reason she wanted to travel the world and become a Pokemon trainer. To be very honest, she's caught between wanting to compete as a Pokemon Champion or becoming a Pokemon Contest Coordinator. She finds a lot of joy in both, in the battling and in presenting the best sides of her Pokemon. She wants the world to see how beautiful they are even if her Pokemon don't follow that "cute and cuddly" mold people expect to see in Pokemon contests.

Yumi doesn't seem to specialize in any particular Pokemon type like her friends do, but she does favor psychic types a lot more than others. Her complete Pokemon team includes her Abra/Kadabra/Alakazam, Ghastly/Haunter/Gengar, Mankey/Primeape, Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir, Wobbuffet, and Shinx/Luxio/Luxray.

Because Alakazam's are able to use telekinesis, Yumi having one is a nod towards her telekinesis ability in Lyoko. And her Mankey is a nod to her own fighting prowess.

Aelita is also from Kalos, just like Odd, and specializes in Fairy Type Pokemon. Aelita's complete Pokemon team includes her starter, Dedenne, Snubbull/Granbull, Chikorita/Bayleaf/Meganium, Eevee/Silveon, Dratini/Dragonair/Dragonite, and Mantyke. She has Fairy types mainly because her Lyoko form is designed as an elf and can be considered part of a fairy tale aesthetic.

Aelita's parents were also Pokemon researchers, like Jeremy's, but her father got involved with the wrong type of people to put it very mildly. Aelita has connections to the newest evil organization, known as X.A.N.A., that was trying to take over the world and stealing everyone's Pokemon. And for some reason, they are out to get her specifically. She has no memories of the past, so she doesn't know anything about her connection to them, or that her family is working alongside them. Jeremy finds her being attacked by one of the goons in the middle of a really bad rainstorms and comes to her rescue. Because the storm was getting really bad, he had no choice but to bring her to the nearest Pokemon center. He stayed with her throughout the entire night, taking care of her Pokemon as well. During the storm, the power went out, and some of the goons returned to try and kidnap Aelita. Jeremy fended them off as best he could with his Beldum, and luckily it was at that moment that Ulrich and Odd came running out to see what all the commotion was. The commotion had awoken Aelita, who was utterly astounded by their bravery and kindness.

They hadn't been out of the woods yet though. Aelita explains to the boys that she had been with another trainer, who had helped her take care of her Dedenne back in the woods. She explained that they came into the town together, and that the other girl had promised to help her get to the police station to check if maybe someone had reported her missing. They'd been attacked by those goons and Yumi had told Aelita to run when it was becoming overwhelming, insisting on holding them off with her Abra and Ghastly. Aelita had run but one of the goons, the goon Jeremy rescued her from, had broken away and caught up to her. Aelita, worried about what had happened to Yumi, insists on going to search for her. The boys agree to help her and make a plan to let Aelita get captured so they can follow the goons in the hopes that the goons had apprehended Yumi and were only holding her hostage. Aelita had never been more relieved in her life to see that Yumi was okay, just bruised up a bit. And once all five of them are together, X.A.N.A.'s goons don't stand a chance against them. Like seriously, it's crazy how five kids who just met each other are able to take down a bunch of evil adults and their Pokemon. And seeing how much danger Aelita is in, none of them are really willing to leave her to her own devices and are genuinely curious about what X.A.N.A. is up to. Why do they need Aelita? What are they plotting?

And then there's William. William is from Sinnoh, and he's considered a dark type Pokemon specialist. His starter Pokemon was a Corphish, but when the group meet him, he has a Crawdaunt. Just like in the series, William has a thing for Yumi which irks Ulrich despite the fact that she doesn't reciprocate William's feelings. His persistence actually makes her a bit uncomfortable, which only gives her Pokemon more of a reason to not trust or like William. William ends up working willingly for X.A.N.A. (as opposed to being forced in the cartoon), and was trying to gain the groups trust so that he would be able to travel with them and secretly relay to X.A.N.A. where Aelita was at all times. He genuinely wants Yumi to join X.A.N.A. alongside him, because otherwise he has to destroy her and he doesn't want to do that. He'll happily destroy the others though.

His complete Pokemon team includes his Crawdaunt, Tentacool/Tentacruel, Spinarak/Ariados, Absol, Pawniard/Bisharp, and Tyrantrum. The Tentacool/Tentacruel is a nod towards the scyphozoa that XANA used in the series to gain control of William in the first place. The Spinarak/Ariados is another nod to the series and how he was afraid of spiders but, under XANA's influence would ride the Tarantula into battle. And the Pawniard/Bisharp is a nod to his sword in a similar way Honedge is to Ulrich.

-The Sides all live in different regions -Decided to go to Hoenn for various reasons and all meet there -End up sticking together after they finish the journey there and go through many regions after that; just kind of,,, never split up?

Patton:

-From the Alola Region, Melemele Island specifically -Lives in the same house the protagonist lives in in Sun and Moon -Has an older brother named Sun who is currently off on a journey (don’t ask where because I,,, haven’t decided yet) -His best friend is named Moon, and she goes through the events of the game while Patton is in Hoenn -Starts with Popplio -Is the oldest of the group, but just by a couple of months. He turns 11 towards the end of their Hoenn Journey. They all visit Alola on his birthday and a few days after so that Patton can at least start his Island Challenge on time, and after they finish their Hoenn adventures, they go back and travel through Alola so Patton can complete it. -The reason he came to Hoenn is because he wanted to find a partner Pokemon that he could use a Z Move with. His Popplio doesn’t want to due to trauma from its last trainer. Patton is respectful of this and won’t make it fight if it doesn’t want to, but he still wants to go through his Island Challenge using Z Moves, so he came to Hoenn to see if he could find a second Pokemon Partner -Because he’s from Alola, where it’s really hot all the time, Patton is always freezing cold. The scarf that he wears is actually Roman’s. -Is very strict about himself keeping to Alolan traditions and rituals. Prays to Tapu Koko before and after all big events -Constantly amazed by the Pokemon that are Regional Variants in Alola, but often gets in trouble because of this. He once tried to use Logan’s Magnemite in a battle against a Vulpix, thinking all Vulpix were Ice Types and having absolutely no clue that most are Fire Types. -Finds an egg while going through their travels, near Dewford Town. It hatches into a Togepi. He bonds to it immediately and does not let it out of his sight.

Roman:

-From the Sinnoh Region, Snowpoint City -Close friends with the daughter of Snowpoint’s Nurse Joy -Starts with Chimchar -Roman is a Coordinator, and a very determined one at that; he won’t let any rival stand in his way of becoming the best of the best of the best. Losses hit him hard, though. When he didn’t even make it past the first round of his first contest, he cried for a solid two days. -Came to Hoenn so that he could have his Contest Debut in the same place where Pokemon Contests originated -Since he’s from Snowpoint City, where it’s literally winter all year round, he’s always just sweltering. Gave Patton his scarf because he felt like he was going to have a heat stroke wearing it. -Whenever/however he gets Jigglypuff, it becomes his top Pokemon, to the point where when avid Contest watchers see a Jigglypuff, they assume Roman is around somewhere

Summary:volkner mysteriously wakes up at the beach...as a magnemite.

Volkner p.o.v.

Volkner’s vision was blurry,the last thing he remembered was that he was on the couch sleeping with flint,now he was at the beach,a part of him felt weird like his body had been changed,he looked around,it looked like it was one of the beaches by sunnyshore,he looked around as a distant voice rang,”where am i?”,volkner could recognize that voice from a mile away,it was flint,he yelled acros the beach”flint!”

The last thing he expected was for a magby to appear,and say “volkner!”

Volkner jumped a little,”ah!”

“Volkner im so glad you’re okay”he said,volkner then realised...he was shorter than him and the magby sounded just like flint,”flint...?”his voice nearly cracked,”your...”

“A magby,I know,just try not to freak out because you’re a magnemite,just stay calm-“

“A magnemite!calm!flint do you understand this”he yelled “sorry...”

“Oh...”he took a step back”welll...can you by any chance move?”

Volkner tried to get up by using the magnets that were now his arms but failed,”want help?”

“Yes”

Flint lifted him up slightly,then when the tips of both magnets where on the floor he let go,letting volkner float,”this is...quite uneasy”he said,”it feels weird”

Flint nodded”what do you think we should do?”,”try to find others?”volkner suggested,flint looked at the forest that was by the beach they were on,”yeah,wonder why we’re here”

Emolga was never the pokemon to be on time,much less early,and this was one of the prime examples,emolga,as always,was running late,emolga usually made up for it with her speed(she WAS an emolga after all)but sometimes her speed couldn’t make up for how late it was,this was an example one of those times too,she was an hour late to the meeting they were going to have right before the ceremony to open the guild,and as always,she didn’t know this.

So emolga flew around town not knowing how late she truly was before stopping at the kecleon brothers shop,”so!emolga!one of our best customers!what may you want?”the brothers asked

“Nothing much,i just need a few reviver seeds and maybe a joy ribbon or two,or maybe a few oran berries?”emolga said

“Yes!”

“I mean you are going to open up the first guild in town,which means that even though we will loose some of the best explorers this town has seen in years,we are going to get new a more exploration teams!and hopefully your legacy will catch on!”the green brother said,this statement confused emolga,”wait-wait-wait why are you saying this like ill stop doing missions?”emolga was stunned,i mean sure she was an assistant to a guild now,but that didn’t mean she was going to retire,much less so young,to this the purple brother responded

“Well,though you are still really young,specially for someone who is opening a guild with her girlfriend,and opening a guild can be busy so we just assumed that-“”in that case your wrong”she snapped,she saw the items she had ordered on the table,ten reviver seeds,twenty five oran beries,two joy ribbons,and a big apple,slammed money on the table,took the items(including the big apple even though she didn’t order it),and left as she heard from one of the brothers”does she know its already nine a.m.”

Hetalia- Team Uralic (Poketalia!AU)

I’m very late but I was really eager to submit something for Finno-Ugric Week! I ended up making a short Poketalia fic for Day 6: Fight Night Friday. I used the teams and names from my own Poketalia AU however I’m undecided if this is set within that same universe.

Basic premise for this fic is that the Uralic Trio set out to retrieve some of their stolen Pokemon.

Team Platinum is not a real team (yet but who knows in the future?) in the Pokemon series and was made up for this fic. Same with the admin character and grunts.

“You're so reckless Erzsi!” Timo replied nervously. “Shouldn't we have gotten the police involved in this?”

Erzsébet took a peek around the corner to see if any grunts were guarding the area. But the coast was clear and gave a signal to have her companions follow her as they ran down the brightly lit and almost sterile-looking hallway.

“By the time the police launch their investigation, my Haxorus, Ed's Vikavolt, and many other Pokemon will have already been sold on the black market. I'm not letting that happen.”

While Timo agreed with her ideals, this entire situation still didn't feel right to him. They were infiltrating an organization that was generally seen as a positive force globally. They had several facilities around the world to allow Pokemon to thrive in their natural habitat. They cared for injured and abandoned Pokemon. They had multiple departments where they studied everything there was to know about them. But in reality, it was mostly a front to commit crime behind the scenes. They were hiring criminals to steal Pokemon from trainers. Depending on the trainer's worth, a seemingly average Pokemon could fetch more than a million dollars. A rare Pokemon associated with a big name trainer could go for twice or three times more. They were mostly rumours but Erzsébet knew the truth. She followed the thieves to this facility where she saw a group of men being paid with a brief case full of money and drugs by a man and a woman in lab coats.

No one knew what was truly going on behind the scenes and that was their advantage. There was nothing was stopping them from calling the police on them.

“Eduard, you've been awfully quiet this entire time,” he said.

“I'm just here to make sure no one gets hurts and get back Vikavolt,” Eduard replied in a flat tone. His mind's in other places so Timo didn't press him any further. He hoped that everything would be okay in the end.

The group had arrived to a dead end but they were exactly where they wanted to be as they were greeted to a steel door in front of them.

“Are you sure this is the place?” Timo asked.

“I'm positive.” Erzsébet replied. One of her trusted partners, Breloom, had been out with them since the beginning and had been a huge help breaking down doors and destroying the security cameras. Breloom knew what it had to do and without hesitation it broke through the steel door using Brick Break multiple times. In the corner of Eduard's eye, he caught a glance of something in the wall to the left of them.

He gasped, “Erzsi! There's a camera in that wall!”

Erzsébet and Timo froze with shock as they turned their heads but Breloom jumped into action using Sludge Bomb. Parts of the wall disintegrated as did most of the camera.

“Nicely done Breloom! Now let's go.”

The group quietly entered the room and few lights were on, making it appear dark and gloomy compared to the rest of the building. The sight of Pokeballs went on forever as the space was filled with more than three dozen large bookshelves and the balls carefully placed on specially designed metal stands. Erzsébet suggested they split up; Timo to the left, her down the middle, and Eduard to the right. Before they parted, two more Pokemon joined their crew. Timo released his Dragonite while Eduard released his Chandelure. If they were to go alone, they at least had to be smart about it.

They went their separate ways and began glancing through the shelves. Every now and then they'd spot a camera or two and had them destroyed to cover their tracks. Their search was tiresome however as most of the Pokeballs looked the same with their traditional red-white colour scheme. But with a cry from the back of the room, Timo and Erzsébet ran as fast as their legs could carry them. When they arrived, Eduard was on his knees smiling gleefully with two Pokeballs in his hands and showed them off to his companions.

“I found them!” he said as he held out his hands. The Pokeball in his left hand was that of his Vikavolt's while the one in his right was that of Erzsébet's Haxorus. Both Pokeballs were unique in their designs as they featured traditional folk patterns of their homelands and made them easy to spot amongst the sea of items to find.

Erzsébet was emotional as she took the Pokeball from Eduard and held it close to her chest. Timo rubbed her back to comfort her. She was overjoyed that Haxorus was safe and sound. She couldn't imagine what would have happened has she had lost her for good. She didn't want to think about that. All that mattered was that both Haxorus and Vikavolt were safe and back where they belonged.

“You there! Stop right there!”

Their moment was cut short as a group of grunts spotted them from behind, a mixed batch of male and female members who were ready to battle. They had tried to flee but another group blocked them from other end. They were forced to huddle together as the sounds of heels clicking against the floor grew louder until a tall short-haired brunette wearing a lab coat joined the group of grunts. Erzsébet gasped as she recognized the woman from earlier. She was the one handing out a suitcase to the criminals who stole their Pokemon.

“You have some nerve breaking into our facility, damaging our property, and stealing our Pokemon.”

“Your Pokemon? Bullshit, these are far from yours. We came here to take back what is ours. I know you're stealing Pokemon to sell on the black market. Your organization is a phony.”

“Those are some pretty big accusations you're throwing out there,” she smirked. “Not like anyone is going to believe you.”

She cut through her group of grunts and slowly walked up closer to the three of them. She kept a bit of distance between herself and them. Breloom, Dragonite, and Chandelure all took their positions in front of their trainers and growled however she was not intimidated by their presence.

“I know who you are. Eduard Tamm, Erzsébet Héderváry, Timo Vainonen—all respected trainers from your home countries. Do you know how easy it would be for me to pick up the phone and call the police? What a joy it would be to see the headlines tomorrow! 'World champions arrested and charged in Team Platinum incident.' Your careers would be ruined and you'd get a stint in jail too!”

Erzsébet was not deterred and stood her ground. She would not let her words get to her head.

“You think you're tough but you hide behind your grunts who do your dirty work for you. Stealing Pokemon is not something I let slide and if you do it to me or my family, it gets personal. You mess with me, you mess with all of us.”

There was a brief pause but with a booming voice, she made herself appear powerful as she held out Haxorus's Pokeball, a sign of a challenge.

“You, Team Platinum, are no match for us, Team Uralic!”

The woman stared at them expressionless but a grin crept up on her face as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a Pokeball with the Team Platinum logo on it and out came a Porygon-Z. The rest of the grunts followed suit and released their own Pokemon—a mixed bag between Magnemites, Golbats, and Raticates.

“Let's see if your words match your skills. Don't be crying now if you lose!”

Erzsébet wasn't worried for a moment. She was strong. They were strong. With her cousins by her side, there was no way they could lose. They were level-headed and observant, never cocky. All they had to do was remain calm and do their best.

And their best was what they did.

instead of doing anything productive I instead made up pokemon teams for a bunch of my ocs. rambling below for anyone interested P:

bcus Sun and Moon was one of the more recent I’ve played I decided to go with that theme-ish mostly just amusing myself here lbr I was gonna doodle them all but I am...lazy and not sure where I put my tablet SO.

Reese just moved to Alola and is mad abt it but whatever he’s still going to have his pkmn journey damnit. His mom gives him 900 tubes of sunscreen as his travel package.

He gets Bubbles the poppilo as his starter, Comfort the gyarados is a gift from his mother who has had her since she was a magikarp. The rest he finds along the way, Calanthe the flabebe, Snuggles the vulpix, Verdant the dhelmise and Spooks the Mimikyu. (you can tell which he named himself and which he got suggestions for I’m SURE. Tho I mean his mom named a magikarp Comfort so like. Maybe it runs in the family.)

Penniah has lived in Alola all his life and its super excited to lead the new kid around. Pen is a bit older and thus a little more experienced. (a whole half a year, like lbr here they’re 10 that's YEARS to them)

He chooses Lychee the rowlet as his starter, Magnolia the furfrow is a gift from his dad and Keahi the marowak is a gift from his mom. The others he catches along the way, Kale the shiny buneary who hates him with all the anger contained in his tiny bunny form and is a constant disaster in battle. Apikalia the hawlucha and Peni the pancham are his newest additions.

Niko has recently moved back to alola after having been away idk where don’t ask me. Currently kind of floating around not sure what he’s going to do with himself he kinda tags along on the kids journey but like to the side so they don’t 100% realize he’s keeping tabs on them. He has a perfectly crafted reason to be wherever they find him each time, its infuriating. Young adultish age and like still an anxious ptsd mess tho honestly idk how that would come abt in a pkmn setting.

Lizhu the shiny manectric is a Good Girl™, she’s a trained ptsd doggo and is extremely protective of her mess of a trainer. She’s never in her pokeball and at this point Niko probably doesn’t even know where he put it. She probably hid it. (its buried in Tek’s yard somewhere.) Uilani the raichu is a trouble maker but doesn’t mean any harm. She’s Niko’s first choice in battle even though she’s as likely to play tricks as listen. Orb the natu was a gift he got while away and he won’t really talk about where he got him but the natu is v attached to him & Ridi and prefers to be carried at all times. Aloalo the oricorio is the first pokemon he caught upon his return to Alola they’re still figuring each other out. Konani the skarmory and Ekewaka the golem are Niko’s oldest pokemon caught when he did his own journey around the islands.

Ridi (Niko’s daughter, adopted) despite not quite being old enough to start her journey she doesn’t let that stop her and bullies her way into tagging along with Reese and Pen, which is like 90% of the reason Niko is following them too but he wouldn’t admit to that. Niko is kinda vague when asked about the details of adopting her but also obviously adores her so most people just let the subject drop. Ridi wants to be the best EVERYTHING which like, shes 8 so ofc she does but Niko is also a giant softy so he is 100% encouraging of her determination.

Orb the natu is Niko’s gift to Ridi when she convinces him that she’s going to tag along with Pen and Reese. Tbh she probably catches the rest despite her age bcus that’s who she is ngl. Sylveon was probably a gift as an eevee.

Tektite (Pen’s dad) idk what he’d been in this AU tbh. Like, law enforcement of some kind? Probably caught up in trying to deal with team Skull? Private investigator? Idk. whatever.

admittedly loosing my attention here with naming everyone’s pokemon WHOOPS. Espeon is def a gift from his wife and he is a spoiled little SHIT. Porygon is his fave bud tho ofc he wouldn’t admit to having a fave. Magnemite WILL paralyze you don’t tempt him. Absol and Houndoom are a power couple and better than u in every way. 

Dailesa (Pen’s mom) probably like a rescue/breeder type person? Rescuing abandoned pokemon or something? Likes the less ‘cute’ pokemon, hasn’t competitively battled in years but would most likely fuck u up.

tbh I assembled her team mostly under the ‘doesn’t really appeal to me so it’ll appeal to her aesthetic’. Shiinotic is her first choice in battle bcus I said so. Rockruff is her most recent rescue not usually her style since hes cute but hey.

Suha, ok I’m just being self indulgent at this point I have no idea how Suha and company would fit in this AU maybe something to do with the Aether foundation I really don’t know ok. There’s a cult somehow somewhere for these nerds ok? Good.

I found my tablet and did actually doodle these guys aside from Sylveon bcus he’s hard to draw. (ignore that Suha’s lap is like huge, ok. idk abt their names. Suha is probably more creative than 10yr old Reese but like who knows. I am obv not creative so.)

Ellison, 100% self indulgence now. I really have no story for these.

Whatever life they lead in this AU I’m sure Ellison is still under his father’s thumb and doing his dirty work for him. While still probably being hopelessly in love with Suha. I’m sure its fine.

Elias, (Ellison’s dad) def still terrible, self serving and narcissistic I’m sure.

Like 3+ weeks belated but I'm def gonna take the bait. Why did you give BTS the Pokemon you did in post/156653688633? Tbh I'm interested in hearing ALL the explanations because it seems like you put a ton of thought into it, but especially for the maknae line. For some reason your choices for the hyungs click with me a little easier.

i did tbh!! and honestly with all of them, i mostly tried to find pokemon that i thought would mesh best with each boy (personality wise), sO THAT BEING SAID i’m gonna talk abt how the boys ended up with the team that they have! and oops this is under a readmore because it got Long™

jin, fairy type trainer:

Slurpuff: his champion pokemon!! in this AU, Jin works at a bakery and one day he was opening up shop, a slurpuff was poking around by the store front, and it just.. following jin inside and around for the day (despite them trying to shoo it back outside) so just went to the store after a few days of this happening to get a pokeball and captured it!

Kirlia: captured when it was a ralts!! he’d been walking to school when he was younger when it approached him (since it is attracted to positive moods)

Sylveon: eevee was 1/3 of the original pokemon that jin had been given by his parents!! he had been trying to get an espeon, but the friendship level was higher than he thought it was, and after a battle one day, eevee evolved into sylveon!

Mawile: the last pokemon that had been added to his team!! he’d been going through a cave to get to a farm when a wild mawile had attacked him, and he’d ended up capturing it!

Mr. Mime:  2/3 of his original pokemon! he had been given it by his parents because he had an interest in theater, and after seeing one in a show, he’d always had loved them.

Snubbull:  3/3 of his original pokemon! his family had always had snubbulls/granbulls. he’d actually gotten snubbull as an egg and raised it up from that!!

yoongi, ice type trainer:

Glaceon: his champion pokemon!! he’d traded for an eevee and had been up in the mountains training it when he’d found an ice rock and spent hours doing battles until it evolved around the rock and he finally managed to get a glaceon

Beartic: he’d been taking in his other pokemon into the pokecenter when he heard the nurses talking about an orphaned cubchoo that was found injured in a cave, and he decided to give the poor baby a good home

Froslass: he’d been traveling around the mountains and stuff to train his pokemon, when he came across a lone snorunt wandering around, and he caught it since he didn’t see any others around with it (since they’re usually a pack pokemon)

Sneasel: he had been camping out when he heard scuffling around that woke him up, and it turns out that his delibird and a sneasel had gotten into it because the sneasel was trying to steal something from his bag. the sneasel had gotten injured pretty bad, so he ended up capturing it to take it to the pokecenter

Ninetails (Alolan): one of the first pokemon that yoongi had!! he had been bullied as a kid and was arguing with said bullies when suddenly they got quiet before running off, and it wasn’t until he turned around that he noticed the ninetails that was sitting a few feet behind him, just watching him. NT let yoongi come over and pet it, and it sort of just.. stuck with him since.

Delibird: for a while in his teen years, yoongi works with the mail service, and he ended up really connecting with a delibird in the office, that he ended up adopting it officially and here they are!

hobi, grass type trainer:

Grotle: his champion pokemon!! the very first pokemon that hobi could call 100% His, and turtwig was a present from his parents.

Gogoat: his best friend grew up on a farm that raised miltanks and skiddos, and he loved riding the skiddos/gogoats enough that he decided that he wanted to have one for himself before he set off for his big adventure!

Dartrix: his parents raised birds and, and he eventually just really clicked with a rowlet that was the runt of the group, and eventually convinced his parents to let him adopt it!

Nuzleaf: captured one in the forest near his home, because one would always come and scare him when he’d be exploring around, and he eventually was able to battle one and win!

Oricorio (pom pom): same situation with dartrix! his parents raised some of the types of oricorio too, and he was always drawn to the pompom style of them because he liked the bright colors

Maractus: he’d been in town when he saw one for the first time and was immediately drawn to it despite  

namjoon, dark type trainer:

Houndoom: his champion pokemon!! he had adopted a houndour as a puppy because he thought it looked Cool and Edgy and he was going through that 7th grade phase 90% of us had lmao

Mismagius: nams had been exploring through ruins when he came across one of these, and instead of it’s cries giving him a headache, it seemed to put him in a good mood? the mismagius was puzzled about that and sort of attached itself to nams until he caught it lol

Mimikyu: nams had heard of the pokemon so he set out to find one since he wanted to be able to give one the love he thought all pokemon deserved to have

Sableye: when he was exploring a cave, one of these guys had tried to steal one of the necklaces he was wearing (an amethyst stone), and he’d chased after it to get the necklace back, eventually battling and catching it

Umbreon: he’d gotten an eevee from his parents, and since he always had school/work/other things during the day, he’d often go out in the evening/night to train his pokemon, and since he was so close to eevee, one night it leveled up and evolved unto umbreon!

Pumpkaboo: he’d been out training his pokemon one night, and he ended up deeper in the forest, and had actually woken a pumpkaboo up by accidentally stepping on it. it attacked him and he won the battle, finding the pokemon cool so he captured it

jimin, fire type trainer:

Monferno: his champion pokemon!! chimchar and Pansear were the first pokemon that Jimin had even gotten, liking the playful nature of the them as well as liking that they were fire, a powerful element, because his ultimate goal is to become one of the Elite Four trainers

Fletchinder: he was out with chimchar and pansear when he came across a runt of a fletchling, and feeling bad for it, he gave it some berries, and the fletchling sort of decided to stick around!

Ninetails: he’d been climbing around in trees with his two original pokemon and litleo when he noticed movement in a bush. being the kid he was, he went after it only to find out it was a vulpix. immediately jimin battled it, only to lose. he kept coming back though until he eventually did win.

Darumaka: he had seen a darmanitan once and decided that he needed to have one. the only flaw was that one was harder to catch than he though, so he had kept going out to find a darumaka until he eventually did

Litleo: much like with darumaka, he had seen a pyroar during a talent show and decided that he needed one and eventually traded in able to get one

taehyung, bug type trainer:

Heracross: his champion pokemon!! my little bug boy here has always loved pokemon and loved exploring, and after his first encounter with combees, he fixated on bug pokemon! so saved up money as a kid to get some pokeballs and heracross was one of the first pokemon that he went out and caught himself

Flygon: so tae had caught his flygon when it was still a trapinch because it saw it and was like cool!!! an ant pokemon!! and so he caught it, only for him to finally do Research and discover… o hey you’re not a bug type. but he felt bad and didn’t want to release the little guy, so he ended up keeping him around

Dwebble: he had been taking a trip with his family through the desert when a cool looking rock caught his attention, and he went over to get a better look at it when the dwebble attacked him. he ended up catching it simply because he liked how feisty it was as well as the rock it had on its back at the time

Volbeat: he caught one because he liked how it would glow whenever it was dark out, because as a kid he was afraid of the dark 

Araquanid: taehyung had met his araquanid when he was following the trail of trying to find a different pokemon at the time, until he had come across one in shallow riving and immediately knew that he needed to capture it because come on, it’s just SO COOL LOOKING

Beedrill: his family raised combees, and one day he noticed an egg that looked different than he was used to seeing? so he had taken it and showed his parents, only for it to later hatch in to a weedle, which he thought was adorable so he kept it.

jungkook, electric type trainer:

Luxray: his champion pokemon!! he had caught a wild shinx and pretty much trained it  to high stats so it’s his Ultimate Pokemon

Ampharos: he had visited a lighthouse on a school fieldtrip and once he saw the ampharos that was powering the lighthouse, jungkook fell in love with the pokemon. he caught a mareep like a week later and started training it, always spending extra money he had on drinks for the pokemon to raise their stats up higher, since he wanted to get the best team that he could, since he wanted to become leader of a pokemon gym one day

Emolga: tbh he caught a wild emolga purely because it was a cute pokemon, but that doesn’t stop him from sweeping floors with the little guy

Magnemite: he got it from the short time that he worked at a bicycle shop, the owner had one and jungkook decided that it was actually a pretty cool pokemon so he went out and caught one himself

Pachirisu: pretty much the same reason as emolga? he got a pachirisu because he thought it was cute, but also because the two pokemon had been chasing each other around and playing beofre jungkook caught the pach

Helioptile: kook had battled a few of these while visiting a desert area to see a friend, and after a while he decided that he liked their attitudes and how resilient they were (also that they were basically living solar panels and the science nerd in him thought that was Super Cool)

Aurea Veronike Juniper was a little more in the know than most about why there were a few trainers starting off their journey at this particular point in time. Professor Oak had been like an uncle figure to her, alongside Pokémon Professor Rowan from Sinnoh. The two of them, and her father, Regional Professor of Unova, had been collaborating on forming the very first Pokédex. And, their fruition had paid off – because the Pokédex protoype, or five of them, were already in the good Professor’s office… and Aurea was getting one for herself! The chosen trainers were coming from around the regions. ‘The very best!’ Cedric had told her. He said that they were hand chosen because they were the up and coming stars of their fields. She didn’t know about the others beyond one boy called Thaddeus. He was a child of one of Professor Oak’s aides! The boy had been nice enough to actually send her an email that morning to ensure that she was up and at it. (She had spent the night in a nice woman’s house. She said she treated it like a Bed and Breakfast for new trainers who came further afield within Kanto. But, this was the first time she had had someone coming from Unova – or Kalos – but she didn’t see the Kalosian as she was up and at it early after a Pidgey swept into the room.) Right, let’s go, off to Professor Oak’s Laboratory. She had been discussing with another girl – around her age -who was besides the docks. The girl was talking about how she couldn’t wait to get her own Pokémon and be able to train and make friends. She had to agree – the idea of appealing – and she didn’t want to rub it in by saying that she was going to be getting a starter herself! Her father had prepared her for a hard decision. Something about the choices of Kantonse Starters. Which would explain why Thaddeus had been rambling off about a Charmander. As she approached the Laboratory she studied the large variety of Pokémon that were wandering around the estate. How could he look after so many Pokémon she didn’t know. She would say her father’s was the same – but he didn’t have this many. There were Tauros stampeding through a field, Pidgeot on the top of the laboratory crowing, three Oddish enjoying the sunlight while being half buried in compost underneath one of the Laboratory windows – and even what she believed to be Onix tracks which made their way towards…. What was it called, she had checked the map by the docks too! Eugh. Maybe she’d remember later.

Aurea pushed open the large glass door that made way to the entrance of the Laboratory and saw few people walking around, or sitting in computer chairs. But, there were none that she could recognise. She certainly didn’t see the esteemed Professor Oak. “Good morning, I’m one of Professor Oak’s assistants. I’m afraid the Professor is out at the moment.” The man was nearly interrupted by the view of an excited boy that had bounded his way across from the main office (where she saw a table with what appeared to be three Pokéballs on top. Surely they must have been their starters to choose from.) “The Professor was stepping out. He just gave two kids their own Pokédex. Elaine and Trace! How exciting… I… I can’t believe I’ll be getting my own Pokédex and getting to go out into the world,” “now Thaddeus, don’t get ahead of yourself, you haven’t even introduced yourself.” “I don’t need to! This is Aurea! I sent her an email this morning to make sure she came!” The boy looked around as if he was curiously seeking something. Aurea raised a brow – surprised by how a boy that could also appear somewhat timid could come out with bursts of excitement like that. She could easily tell, however, that Thaddeus and this assistant were related. This aide must have been his dad. Though, she was more surprised when Thaddeus moved closer to her, look of worry upon his features. “so… where’s Clemont? I sent him an email too… you don’t think he forgot do you?”

Clemont was huffing lightly as he finally reached the steps of the lab. The one thing he quite wasn’t used to was how far apart buildings were in such a small, rural town. In Lumiose, everything was packed tightly together, and everything was right at one’s fingertips. Here, however, he found himself growing the least bit winded from the minor jog he broke into just to make sure he got the lab on time, not expecting such a long walk from the bed-and-breakfast to his ultimate destination for the morning.

Taking a few last pants, leaning over tiredly, he finally sucked in one last breath before he finally trod through the large double doors of the lab to see the sight he’d been looking forward to since he’d gotten his invitation months prior.

It was like stepping through a portal from the quaint country into a technological paradise. The lab was rustic in terms of its furnishings and the overall design of the building, but the technology that lined the walls, along with the shelves of quite literally hundreds of books on pokemon that ranged in topics from simple biological diagrams to thick dissertations on behavioural trends. Clemont was confident he could spend more than a month here and wouldn’t have been bored for even a second. However, he knew he was here for far more than books and to experiment with the various lab equipment. He was here for something very specific and to embark on a journey that he was sure would change his life. He wasn’t ready to tarry here; or at least not just yet.

However, as he proceeded further into the lab, he found his attention caught by a mention of his name.

“So… where’s Clemont? I sent him an email too… you don’t think he forgot, do you?”

The boy’s voice prompted the young blond’s voice in response as he finally met face-to-face with the one with whom he’d be exchanging numerous emails. He gave a broad smile and leapt into the conversation, albeit nervously.

“I’m right here!”

His breathing had finally calmed down, thankfully, so evidence of his exhaustion in simply reaching the lab wasn’t terribly evident. However, he knew he couldn’t get away in explaining the reason for his tardiness without a proper reason, “I’m sorry I’m late. I didn’t realize just… how long… a walk it was to get here from my… er… accommodation…” He gave a nervous laugh before looking to Thaddeus and extending a hand in greeting, “I’m Clemont. I’m glad to finally meet you!”

Thaddeus took his hand eagerly, shaking it with vigorous enthusiasm that Clemont was certainly not expecting as he body outright shook from the gesture, “Glad to finally meet you! And glad you’re finally here! I don’t want to delay this journey a second longer! Now all we need is the professor to finally show up!” A loud, cheery laugh rung out from Thaddeus at the statement, even as Clemont took a second to process the information before he turned to see the young girl next to him.

Finally noting Clemont’s curiosity, Thaddeus added quickly, “Oh! This is Aurea! I’ve been talking with her too! She’s another one of the people who will be testing out the new pokedexes!”
