I wanted to do a little something for you just to remind you how dear you are to me and how grateful I am that you are a part of my life. For the past six years, you have been my best friend, my closest confidant and have made this hobby the utter joy for me that it is as well as making the world a generally better place to be in, and my life a better one to live. For the worst of times, you were there;  for the best of times, you were there, and not once have you ever let me down. You have always supported me, listened to me, reached out to me and gone above and beyond to take care of me, even when we are oceans apart--something that I genuinely forget, with how close we’ve become. Life has given us both a lot of flack to deal with, but I always find myself thinking things can never be so bad when I have a friend like you in my corner. And I think that is deserving of more thanks than I can possibly imagine.

All this time, I’ve watched you grow as a person, a writer and an artist and it has been one of the greatest joys to see you step into yourself more and more as the years went by. You only shine more with every passing day, even through the hard times that come pouring down, and I hope you know that. You deserve to know that you are a brilliant person, a fantastic friend, and a gifted creator. Beyond a shadow of a doubt you are one of the best things to have happened to me, and that you are still here with me after six years on this crazy roller-coaster we call life makes me feel luckier than I possibly deserve. I’d honestly be lost without you.

One day I’ll tell you all this in person, I’m sure--goodness knows we’ve been intending it for some time. But this will have to do for now to express the gravity of my appreciation that I have you as a companion. All that I can really say is thank you. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for helping me soldier on through all the things that life throws our way. You are dearly loved, my friend, and will be for many more years to come.
