kitchen floor — all the rest. @everstride .  𝑠𝑐.
they’ve spent the night talking again, and truthfully it’s a miracle that she’s come here so often. they’re old friends, and ironically, both now divorced. how funny can the events of life be? luisa & addison have their fair share of grievances they’ve shared amongst one another — maybe it’s the similarity in how fucked up their families are. so, finally, addison breaks that silence before pouring the two of them another glass of sparkling pomegranate water.  ❝ can't let that boy treat you that way. ❞

Anyway, as we all know, Rose never allowed Luisa to drink, because she definitely secretly murdered anyone who did so much as offer to bring her a wine menu - There are at least 99 unsolved murders and unexplained disappearances across the globe that were just waiters trying to do their jobs and Rose was so infuriated that anyone would even tempt Luisa with a drink menu that she killed them all with corkscrews to the jugular, and Luisa was like Babe you really need to stop murdering innocent waiters and Rose was like I’m defending your sobriety with violence this is how I show my affection and that’s when Luisa had to put her foot down and officially be like No More Murder Ever so Rose had to kill waiters in secret because murder is fun and Luisa’s sobriety and happiness are the most important things to her and the jtv writers just have amnesia and forgot to mention that to us and told us a lie about Rose allowing Luisa to drink even though that couldn’t have happened because all the waiters and bartenders and wine merchants and craft brewers and mixologists and convenience store owners Rose and Luisa ever encountered are dead so where did this alleged alcohol even come from writers Check and Mate.

Mixed feelings on Luisa’s storyline in this episode, but the scene where she kills Rose? WOW.
There are some questionable bits - the kiss was so over-the-top it looked ridiculous instead of passionate, and I don’t get why Luisa looked so shocked when Rose fell - but there are some great parts too. When Rose cups Luisa’s face with her hands and Luisa closes her eyes, letting herself have one last moment with her before she pulls away from Rose for the last time? That was heartbreaking. And the sly, almost victorious expression that’s on Luisa’s face for a second when says "wintergreen"? Stunning.
I’m a sucker for the ‘kill the one you love’ trope (with certain ships), and I think it works really well as an ending for these two. We’ve seen Rose do such awful, awful things to her, and maybe she does genuinely love Luisa but she’s not good for her. And every single time we’ve seen Luisa try to heal or put her life back together or move on, something Rose-related comes back to bite her, and imo this is the only way she could’ve ever had a happy ending.

After seeing the latest episode (5x17) of Jane The Virgin I am really sad about the death of Rose.. 😭 Still not over it and sad how they killed her off. She was one of my favorite characters. I am still in denial and hoping Rose and Luisa get their happy ending but who am I kidding 😭. I still hope they run away together or that Luisa fall in love again with a look a like of Rose or something. This show really messed up my emotions. (I can't talk about it with my friends because they are still in season 4...😭)
I drew them a few months ago to celebrate the last season. You can see them on my Instagram account floraseni. 😄
Thank you Bridget Regan and Yara Martinez for playing two of my favorite characters in Jane The Virgin. 'The greatest love story ever told' - 🌹💀🍩❤

and for Eve too :D (I love seeing you fill those... so you can also do for 2 more characters of your choice and just say it's me who asked)
Unhinged Character Bingo!
Eve!
...question marks are 1) she is not like me but she does like me because Eve likes almost everyone so unsure with that one and 2) I only don't want to adopt Eve because I don't want her to be my kid you understand but. I WOULD TAKE SUCH BETTER CARE OF HER.

There's a missing link between Petra and JR, and the blackmailer has it. SO MAYBE. MAYBE, after being around Rose so fucking much, some of that mentality stick in Luisa. And she's smart as fuck. So, maybe she made this whole plan on how to get revenge on Anezka and Petra. Thats why the balcony had the screws loose. And she knows JR because she used to be her lawyer and had some dirt on her and maybe she wanted revenge too (we dont know much about jr's past)... so that's how she contacted her.
(2/2) i love luisa, she’s my baby lesbian and i love her so much but… maybe, after being around rose so much. after being around rafael so much. after schemes and alcohol and all that shit and after being PUT AND KEPT in a mental institution more than necessary, she concluded the origin of all of her problems were petra and petra’s family. So she tried to get rid of it. So the whole “im a countryside chill bitch”’ thing was a facade.. it was… too easy, too calm for luisa, too simple!
Luisa is also on my list of people who might have been the blackmailer but it’s hard for me to picture it being her. She’s never been the murderous type and when we’ve seen her at her “worst” all she wanted to do was fuck Rafael and Petra over financially. But I also can’t completely discount her, like you said Luisa is smart as fuck.
I’ve always thought the attempt to kill Petra and the blackmailer were two different events. Magda and Anezka are on one side and the blackmailer on the other. The blackmailer probably already been planning to go after Petra with something else but they saw a chance and took it. My theory is the blackmailer wants or needs something from the hotel which is why they’ve been trying to force Petra out.
There’s also no way Luisa dug up dirt on JR and Krishna so quickly. It’s not even a one day turn around, it’s hours, which leads me to believe someone had already gathered up dirt way before Petra killed Anezka and saw the opportunity and seized it. Which makes me think it was someone who had an in with the cops like Milos or Rose.
As for JR I still don’t know where she fits in. Why her, Like aside from being a love interest for Petra, why her specifically? They could have used any other lawyer and simply paid them hella money to put Petra away. That tells me JR was poking around somewhere and someone wanted her gone because if there’s one thing we know is that she had a great relationship with the DA. Maybe Luisa is the link maybe not.
Yeah, I definitely don’t want it to be Luisa, not after everything she’s been through. And you know JTV doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to Luisa. They could have easily woven her into storyline back in season two or even at the beginning of season four but they pulled the same bullshit they’ve always done with Luisa. But I do agree her being at peace was almost too easy. Or maybe it’s just lazy writing. We’ll see next season since Jennie Urman still isn’t going to drop the Rose/Luisa storyline.

Sometimes people underestimate how a fictional character can give people the perspective they need.
Luisa Alver made me look at myself and look at the loves I've had, to get clean and thought me never embarrassed about myself, my past or my family.
Addison Montgomery actually saved me and have given me strength to get out of my life, to go and start over. And I will always be grateful to that.

meetthebeatofmyheart replied to your post “Mixed feelings on Luisa’s storyline in this episode, but the scene...”
I think it’s a plausible ending for them (I always imagined that Rose, being the villain, had to die in the end) but in my opinion it could’ve been done better. Someone suggested here that it would’ve be better if Luisa had actually taken poison and Rose kissed her to try and save her life, resulting in her own death. I think it would’ve been a much better ending, Luisa wouldn’t be the one who killed her (at least not directly) which seemed out of character for her (the way it was done) [...]
[...] and Rose’s love/obsession with Luisa would’ve been her downfall (which is consistent to what happened in the entire series, the only reason she ever got caught was because of her love for Luisa). Either that or Michael killing Rose. I just didn’t like the way it was done and how Luisa seemed to be unaffected by it afterwards (you kill the person you loved for the past 5 years and don’t even shed a tear? Come on)
@meetthebeatofmyheart  ‘Rose’s love/obsession with Luisa would’ve been her downfall (which is consistent to what happened in the entire series’ Oh, that’s perfect. And that whole idea is really interesting, it’s definitely an ending I would’ve enjoyed.
But tbh, I like the concept of how it went down in canon even more. I liked that it was deliberate - I’m a sucker for the trope of ‘kill the one you love’. And because Luisa’s life has been impacted and she’s been (mostly unintentionally) emotionally hurt by Rose so many times, it felt really powerful to see her be the one to take down Rose, and to do it intentionally.
But I say I like the concept because the way the show did it - specifically the way they glossed over how much this must’ve affected Luisa - was terrible. Rose is this is the person she spent years of her life with, the person she ran away with, the person she once loved more than almost anything else. And the fact that Luisa - who wanted Rose to stop hurting people - had to kill her? That seems like a huge emotional blow to her mental state.
But JTV made it seem like she was completely unaffected. There was no grief, no guilt, no time for her to process; somehow we’re expected to believe that Luisa would just be 100% fine after killing Rose because hey, she’s invited to the wedding! It made absolutely no sense, and it was such a disappointing Luisa storyline (if it can even be called that, given how short it was).
