I always need more content of the Mortal parents of pjo, like, this people seriously have to raise childres that depite their looks we need to remember aren't human and a lot of them don't even know why their childres are so "weird" and even if we know some gods that probably were there at least the first years, almost all of them are single parents trying to figure out how to raise this kid that they don't have a fuckin clue of where is their mother/father

And Then they need to discover that their kid is half god and probably had the mayor mental breakdown because it doesn't matter if they are atheist or believe in other religions, that goes against to almost anything that they believed

And that's just the surface, theres a lot of other things

I mean, we only ge a close up to Demigods born from concensual relationships in the saga, but looking back at some gods historial, i won't discard the possibility of some of them beig results of 🍇 and how the fuck some mortal parents would have to deal with have a child result of that kind of situation

And We have pretty interesting characters here and we barely know something about them, and all this potential is just wasted-?

I mean, just look at Marie Levesque and Beryl Grace, despite that they aren't the Best people on earth for what we know of them, you can't look me death in the eyes and tell me that they don't have potential for building them a past or Characters study

Or what about the parents of the kids that died?? The mortal parents of Lee Fletcher, Michael yew, Castor and all the diceaced characters must be around somewhere, dueling the lost of their child at the hands of a word that of their kids belonged but they didn't

And ofc whe have the ones of alive campers, i mean, just a few of the campers are year rounders, a lot of them come back with their mortal parents at the end of the summer, most of the campers actually live with their mortal parents and each one must had very different dynamics with their parent

And the parents of year rounders aren't least interesting, like, how they feel about having their kid away of them?? Some of them maybe are one of the reasons why their kid's don't come back at their houses after the summer

And also an Honorable mention to the Man that after dieing and being brought back to life as a mist form is the father of a traumatized 16yo war betteran condemned to ostracism: the Dr, Howard claymore

As a summary: The mortal parents are a really interesting part of the world building of pjo and never get enough recognition

🍓 What’s a fic you’ve written you feel is underrated?

I mentioned some fics in a previous ask, but another that comes to mind might be my fluffy Beel fics? I'm thinking of this sickfic specifically. Sometimes the game does his character so dirty. We have great little moments with him but the rest of the time it's oh look, Beel's eating/hungry or he's thinking/talking about food again. It gets SO OLD. Yes, it doesn't escape me that the sickfic involves cooking for him but food can be such a sweet, impactful way of connecting to someone if it's written well. There's a difference between Beel liking food, and Beel liking food because you made it specially for him and every time he eats that food, it reminds him of you and he appreciates you for it. That's the element of Beel's gluttonous nature I like most.

🍑 If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?

I tend to think about crossover potential with the Obey Me universe as a whole and other fandoms I'm interested in. There are the obvious candidates - Twisted Wonderland, Arcana Twilight, What in Hell is Bad, Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel - but my lowkey favourite is Demon Slayer.

How it works is some vague explanation of Devildom/hell power dynamics and their multiple systems of checks and balances where Muzan and the Twelve Kizuki are basically like their own sect of high-ranking demons. Due to their bloodthirsty nature, they probably spend most of their time in the human world gaining pacts with humans so they can collect their souls (and consume them in the process). Maybe some of the demon lords look down on them because of their unrepentant fondness for murder and mayhem (since the demon lords that also engage in those activities do so more discreetly).

When Lucifer and his brothers fall, the balance of power in the Devildom shifts. The demon rulers of the past had to carefully navigate and appease the various sects of demon lords of considerable influence to minimize violence and chaos within the realm. Due to their unique circumstances, the Avatars of Sin are not only given considerable rank and prestige upon arriving in the Devildom, but they're firmly in Diavolo's camp which gives the royal family considerable strength that maybe they were lacking before. This shakes up things for the rest of the nobility and everyone else gets bumped down a peg or two in the hierarchy to make way for Lucifer and his siblings who now sit very close to the top.

By the time the exchange program commences, Muzan is on par with the higher ranking demon lords of the Ars Goetia with the Twelve Kizuki ranked by power level below him. As far as demons go, they're still strong and have powerful reputations and connections within the Devildom, but there might be some lingering bitterness that they were so easily shoved aside for the demon brothers. They spend a lot of time in the human world to avoid interacting with them, although their behaviour is more closely scrutinized by Diavolo in order to prevent aggression or hostility with the Sorcerer's Society or Celestial Realm.

(My very self-indulgent selfship lore with Gyutaro/Daki involves this premise where my MC has a pact with them before entering the exchange program.)

🍇 Is there a particular scene/episode/book/etc that you want to just write a million fics about, over and over? Which one?

There are specific OM story lines for certain characters that I could write about over and over again.

Lucifer - making his pact with MC in S1

Belphie - the aftermath of Lesson 16 (good and bad)

Solomon - rewriting his relationship with MC in S1, the apprenticeship trials in S3

Barbatos - continuing the romantic buildup of S4 and the hypothetical S5 we never got

Michael - his first meeting with MC (what I think would've happened in OG S5)

🍎 Is there anything you straight up won't write?

Aside from ships that give me the ick uhhh I don't see myself doing anything with graphic s/a. In the highly unlikely event that it is a factor it would probably just be vague or a cut to black.

🍊 Who's a character you don't write for that often, but keep meaning to write for more? (They're so interesting! But maybe you have trouble pinning them down, or keep getting distracted by another blorbo...)

Basically everyone outside the boyfs. Of the popular kids I've spent the most time in Jake's head from writing Left 2 Chill for so long, put I wanna put actual pen to paper (fingers to keyboard?) for everyone in the squad. PARTICULARLY Chloe and Jenna.

🍍 What kind of AUs do you like? Are there any AUs you hate or generally have beef with?

AUs don't play much of a role in my reading endeavors and I don't write enough for them to go beyond The Thoughts in my ""writing"" endeavors. Umm I guess I'm a little irked by super short meet-cutes? Like a coffee shop au where it's just. Characters meet. Characters are flustered for however long until they see each other again. Character A asks Character B out. Fic ends. There's no Substance ya know?? You ended the fic before it could get interesting!! I get that there isn't really a formula for the trope after that stage but,, idk I just want More.

Michael and Jeremy reconciliation after the squipcident!! There are sooo many different directions you can take it in depending on how salty Michael is about it. Like Michael's bitterness is a DIRECT scale for how angsty things will be and playing with that scale can give you nigh infinite outcomes.

🍓 How did you get into writing fanfiction?

It all started with reading fanfiction of Roswell High tv series (the original not the reboot). My love for Michael and Maria was too strong to not delve into the murky world online and that's when I discovered 'shipping', fanfiction and ship names.

🍇 How many fandoms have you written in?

I never wrote 'official' fanfiction for Roswell High so 2 - The Hunger Games (Everlark), and ACOTAR (Nessian/ Nesta).

🍈 How many years have you been writing fanfiction?

Ugh, don't make me count. So probably... 20. On and off. Mostly stuff for myself until I started finally putting some bits online.

🍎 Do you read or write more fanfiction?

Read more overall. I take forever to write fanfiction. I have a million ideas though.

🍌 What is one way you've improved as a writer?

Confidence. Actually putting myself out there and posting has done wonders. It's great to be anonymous and it's wonderful to receive positive comments and kudos but the sheer fact I've created something and distributed it is invaluable.

🍑 Do you have any bad habits as a writer?

Ideas ran rampant. I am never short of inspiration but do I write the stories??? Do I heck.

🍍 What's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?

Hmm. Not for fanfiction but I was writing an original story and needed to look up how long it would take a body to decompose and what state it would be.

🍉 What's your favorite type of comment to receive on your work?

Gosh anything. Feed me.

🍐 What's the most fringe trope/topic you write about?

I don't think I do anything 'fringe' - I have yet to finish my Nessian/ Neris fanfiction. Nessian is mainstream but I wouldn't even say Neris is fringe as it's gaining some traction.

🥭 What is the hardest type of story for you to write?

I think if I find something emotionally hard I will write it anyway - creative challenge and all that. If I don't WANT to write about something I just won't. Excessive SA in fics is so far from what I want to read and so it's far from what I want to write.

🍏 What is the easiest type?

Nesta slides into my mind with ease. Cassian not so much. Nesta is a bundle of pain and range and love with no way of expressing it healthily so I love anything from her POV.

🍋 What is something you've been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?

I'm trying to finish the fic I'm writing (Silver in Her Eyes). I'm finding that intimidating because it's looking like a 80,000 word piece. A whole novel basically. I feel a bit queasy thinking of it.

I also made good progress with a Nessian body swap before I scrapped it. Somehow I ran out of steam.

It's connected to my real name in a very loose and creative way. Mwah ha ha ha ha.

I'm going to be real with you, I can't honestly think of anything that would qualify for this question. All the moments that impacted his life heavily were obviously moments that would do so, not events that seemed of minor consequence to Errol at the time. There were no subtle moments that had a great impact on him.

Who has the greatest influence over their life? Who can easily change their mind or push them to do something they don’t want to? Negatively or positively.

This one largely depends on verse or who I'm writing with. Out of your muses, it's definitely Michael and Vesper that have him wrapped around their finger. He'd do anything for them.

Who is someone that makes them feel uncomfortable? How do they handle interactions with this person? What is the source of the discomfort?

This one is also verse dependent. In his fae verse (which we use most often between you and me) he isn't typically uncomfortable around many people. However, if he ever managed to find his birth parents, that would be an extremely awkward and uncomfortable meeting. Errol would be very conflicted on how to react to them and there's a lot of unresolved resentment built up inside of him towards them because they abandoned him as an infant. He'd definitely have a hard time being civil with them.

How do they calm down when they are upset? Would they act differently trying to calm down in a group setting versus all alone?

Typically, when Errol is upset, he seeks out comfort from others. Usually in the form of physical affection. He wants cuddles and to be held while being reassured. If he can't have that, he's usually inconsolable. He might try to imitate getting affection thru snuggling with stuffed animals, but it won't be the same as a real person. He'll just continue to spiral until he can get that positive physical contact with another person.

What is a hobby or interest that they would be distressed over losing access to? I.e a dancer who breaks their leg for months, etc. How would they cope?

losing the ability to play piano or guitar, or possibly losing his voice, would absolutely destroy him. Music is a very important part of his life and he expresses himself through making it often. If he couldn't do that, he'd get very depressed and frustrated. He'd probably spend a lot of time listening to music to try and comfort himself, but in a way that would make it worse because it's reminding him that he can't make such beautiful sounds himself anymore.
