what if adam was 5'4
His anxiety would be even more concentrated than it is already is in a shorter frame. No one wants that.

2. If they could only have one food for the rest of their life, what would it be?
Chinese sweet and sour chicken – particularly, from the Chinese restaurant around the corner from his apartment. It’s his favorite.
4. Do they play an instrument? If not, have the ever wanted to learn?
No; he might have wanted to learn as a child, but his sister played the flute, and Toby did not want to be upstaged by her. His ego couldn’t handle it.
6. Do they know how to cook? If so, what’s their favorite thing to make?
In theory? Toby is one of those unbearable people that thinks cooking isn’t hard, because it’s just following directions, and yet – he still can’t cook. He’s tried, but he’s never mastered any recipe he’s spent two minutes searching for on the Internet.
8. How do they like to unwind after a long day?
Toby will order in takeout, put on some sweatpants, turn on the TV as white noise, while he scrolls through social media or reads a book on his iPad.

10. greatest regret?
Not focusing her complete attention on her daughter after the fallout of her husband’s scandal. She also wonders if cutting off contact between her ex and her daughter was the right move, given that Lila had to grow up without a father for the remainder of her childhood.
15. what is their vice? (wrath, greed, pride, lust, gluttony, sloth, envy)
Athena’s vice is probably envy. She holds herself to very high standards and though she’s not outrightly jealous per say, much of her self-worth is tied to her accomplishments and so genuine humility and happiness for others, especially those she isn’t particularly fond is something she continues to grapple with.
19. have they ever broken someones heart? has someone broken theirs?
Athena was definitely a bit heartbreaker in her youth. As a pretty girl, she did get a lot of attention from boys, but she tended to just kiss and diss, Ivan was the first man to bring that committal side out of her and once she was with him, she grew up a little in that regard. Hence, when the whole scandal came out about him cheating on her, it really did shatter her heart. In all honesty, it hasn’t truly healed since, especially as she’s never really given herself time to grieve her failed marriage.

random questions for character building (and fun).
2) a song that describes them?
i have already mentioned this song as her go-to melancholic shower karaoke song, but i truly feel like somebody else by flora cash describes her perfectly. as previously said, i get this is for a broken relationship, but the dynamic of not remembering who someone truly is and feeling like losing them applies to how viveca has felt in the past during her darkest moments.
5) three things in their fridge
apple sauce to snack on at 3 am (she never got rid of those university student habits of staying up late), cara cara oranges (she fancy) and leftover pasta (because that’s all she can cook and she makes enough to feed the soviet army in ww2).
22) do they want children?
finally, i was waiting for that one! being a mother has been a dream of her for as long as she can remember. rather than being a goal she would stress about, entering motherhood was just a dream she wanted to experience sometimes in her life. i don’t see viveca being opposed to adoption nor being unhappy if she would simply be a godmother to a good friend’s child. although her pregnancy was not planned and sort of happened like “an accident”, she did love the baby. she did picture herself as a mom. and she can’t get this image off her memory. therefore, she’d want kids. maybe not of her own if she never meets the perfect person for it, but either way, she wants kids around her and it’d definitely fulfill her to be seen as a mother figure.

Events like this were about courting support and endorsements as much as they were about anything else, and his staff had carefully shaped a list of people to invite - possibilities. Several Senators were among them, and Will knew that the tall, dark-haired man across the way was one of them, but he couldn’t begin to produce a name if he tried. Surely they had met before at one point or another, and he found himself wishing he had Silas by his side. It was Silas’s job to know his coworkers, after all, not Will’s. But this was something he supposed he would have to get used to - fake it ‘til you make it, wasn’t it?
Will approached with the ‘politician’s smile’ that he had been practicing so often plastered to his face. “Good evening. Glad you could make it. I hope you’re enjoying the party.”

Pulling up outside Joe’s building, Leon leaned on the car horn and fired off a text:
I’m outside. Need company. Bring 🍅
On an afterthought, he added that 🥚 would also do.

Corinne was never one to say no to a party, even if they were just thinly veiled work functions that let her play dress up. This though was a real party, a birthday party— a casual night of fun and drinks and food and friends. She was dressed for the occasion too; slightly overdressed but make it sexy. What she wasn’t expecting was for her shameful little party trick to follow her to this party.
After the events of the debate, and the subsequent massive hotel bill— she decided coke was just not for her, she feared that she’d soon become Mia Wallace but without the cool backdrop of a Tarantino film. So she’d been consciously avoiding calling Hans or events where she’s sure there’d be some. But this time was different, she stumbled into it in the same Disney princess fashion in which she stumbled into many things. Left door, or right door? Oh look! They’re doing lines, I think I’ll be fine with just one...and one turns into two, and two turns into three and before she knows it, she’s found herself in the hallway all alone in the most euphoric state she’s ever felt.
It’s only when she bumps into something? someone that she remembers where she is. She rubs at her nose with the back of her palm instinctively. “Joe?” she asks, her tone fearfully surprised. “I didn’t, I didn’t know you knew Harper and Jack,” the pot lights in the ceiling give him an odd halo effect, as if he’s her saving grace. They also don’t help in hiding her dilated pupils, and whatever was left on the button of her nose that she desperately kept trying to wipe off.
It’s almost as though every time she did something she shouldn’t have, the exact wrong people would show up, at the exact wrong time.

At best, he was despicable, and yet there he sat in the Senate, instead of her. But that was precise the kind of support she was in search of.
The restaurant was fancy — maybe more than the situation asked for. She made sure to leave her husband at home, because he might have punched Joe in the middle of the face the first time he opened his mouth, and she couldn’t afford that.
But now as he went on and on, in a story that she had lost track of characters and her own interest, she forced herself to smile and nod slightly, as if the tale was as thrilling and exicting as it seemed to Joe.
“I honestly can’t believe it,” she said, when he finished, grabbing her glass of wine and shrugging in disbelif. “You really fought a bengal tiger and lived to tell the tale!” she raises her glass to him, in a silent toast to his victory. “I’m sure you have a lot wonderful stories,” she encouraged him, but dreaded the possible outcome.

↷ me & my lulus | j. d’amato jr.
Corinne had always been an active girl. Soccer, polo, swimming, track, cycling, she did it all when she was younger. She had yet to grow out of her constant need for activity phase, and now had both an active soul cycle membership and a membership to one of those overpriced gyms in Columbia Heights. Corinne has never once felt old— okay maybe when she sees high school aged girls who look like she did out of college, walking around with iced coffee and those little juul thingies she felt old but never anything crazier than that. But, when she found herself surrounded by 20 somethings from Georgetown she became slightly self conscious. Her new found gym buddies kept her up to date on all the new athletic wear fads which had over time taken over her closet, lululemon skin tight leggings being the pinnacle of rich girl athletic wear. Corinne had spent almost upwards of $500 on these stupid leggings and yet every time she took a mirror selfie with her gang she thought “damn! my ass looks great in these!” Her gym time was her me time though and she much preferred never running into anyone she worked with in the gym, not only because it would be odd but she’d never be caught dead is ass tight leggings anywhere. Today she was alone, no girl gang to shield her from wandering eyes— simply just her, her headphones, and the brand new workout routine recommended to her by Brooke. With a blonde ponytail Ariana would envy she loaded weights onto a barbell, guessstimating how much she could realistically squat. As she turns to get a weight plate she’s startled by someone standing by the shelf off weights. She pulls out an earbud before tapping on the others shoulder “Sorry, I just need to squeeze past ya’ really quickly, I need that 20lbs plate.”

6. most three recently watched on netflix?
Apollo 13, Blue Bloods, and Mad Men
11. biggest lie?
That he’s exactly what people expect him to be. He markets himself as a ‘what you see is what you get’ kind of person, but he definitely isn’t.
14. greatest fear(s)?
I think ultimately it’s insignificance. Never doing anything that matters, and never being cared about enough to miss.

Adam felt like a fish out of water at his table, staring at some of the faces beside him. Whether it was some extraordinary star or some unbelievably powerful person, it actually had the effect of making him feel small, looking at the people who surrounded him with some sense of disbelief. “I think someone must have screwed up the seating,” he found himself commenting to Joe d’Amato, who was sitting at his left side - thankfully at least one semi-familiar face for the fact that he was too starstruck to even speak to fucking Tom Hanks on his other side. “I might be dreaming, actually. I’d ask you to pinch me but you kind of look like you might actually do it.”
