you click save and stretched your arms, you saw your best friend, a writer like you lying on your bed. he's a one lazy author, the one who updates one chapter a month, it's would have been good if he have someone to be an inspiration.

"inspiration? i think it's the book i read these days, it's really well written." mingyu an actor and idol, who's completely smitten by an author he never met before.

he just adore your book so much, how good you put your thoughts in words, and how it was really well written. he's a fan, his own fans noticed it too of how often he reads your books and talk about it.

you're a famous author anyways, so his fans really don't give it some meaning behind, they're a fan as well. the fans actually wants to meet you in a book signing.

"are you sure you'll start your book signing this saturday?" jeonghan asked, a fellow author like you.

you're the opposites, you're an active writer, posting updates every week or every two weeks while he posts every two months or three. he's a lazy author but his pieces, such as mystery and thriller, are really brain tester.

he's good at making twists and laughs maniacally every time his reader loses their mind. "you're not gonna run away from it, aren't you?" jeonghan laughs, pointing at you with suspicion in his eyes.

"i wanna run away." you said, "i'm nervous, what if they thought i am pretty but i'm actually not?! the disappointment, it's pressuring me!"

he stood up and walked out of the frame to celebrate behind the scene, his fans already knew what he's doing though, they expected it from him. "i'm back, ehem i don't know if i could attend it tho i have a really tight schedule."

"what do you mean you have tight schedule when you lie on my bed everyday?!" you exclaimed at jeonghan, which he just laughs about. he doesn't want to come with you in your book signing.

"think about it, they've seen me before, it would be a scandal if they saw us together the next time. you don't know how the people thinks," jeonghan said.

"so you'll abandon me alone??..." your voice fading away, putting away the books on your table as he follows you explaining his side.

"hehe." you giggled, walking beside jeonghan, you're both on your way to the event area. he still come along with you, he felt guilty since it's your first time holding a book signing event and you're his bestfriend.

"don't giggle, it's not funny," he scoffs under his mask, he's disguised like a staff of the event despite his disguise though, some recognized him.

"i look good don't i?" mingyu asked his manager who sighed tiredly at him, "you do know your schedule is still packed yet you slip your so-called 'important event' into your sched?"

jeonghan assured you that it'll not happen pushing you inside the event hall before the fans gets in, you fix yourself after a few minutes you see a lot of people holding a book written by you walking inside.

after your name is called, you walk into the stage hearing loud cheers and clap as well as shock reactions from the crowd, your thoughts is just about running away, did they thought you're a guy and is disappointed that you're not? do they thought you're ugly?

you look around the crowd seeing a tall guy holding his phone with a written phrase "you look pretty, smile"

you immediately smiled and nod, some of the audience looks at where you nodded, still cheering at you. there's quick interview as a introduction and you think you did good it seems going well.

it's finally time to sign the books, a teenager still wearing a uniform stand in front of you holding out two of your books, "i want to buy more of your books but my allowance only allows me to buy two. i really like your works,"

her cheeks are red as she smiles at you, you smiled, "i'll upload soft copies so you can read it without spending money," you said signing the books.

you bid goodbye to her as the people keeps moving forward, they're a lot to be honest. you always look around to see if your friend is still there, of course he is. but he's chilling with his phone at the side.

finally it's the tall guy earlier. "hello—oh it's my debut book" your eyes lit up. "the first story i wrote." you laughed. "you're a good writer, i admire you" he said his voice is quite attractive and familiar.

"your name?" you smiled after writing your signature. "kim mingyu" he answered. you tilted your head and write it down despite thinking about the actor, someone you know named like it.

"i expected you would be a girl but i'm still shock and starstruck." he laughs nervously, "you sound like someone i heard before."

"your boyfriend?"

"yea—huh?" her eyes widened, how can you not noticed, are your eyes playing tricks. no way your actor boyfriend will come here risking his career and time. "w-what are you doing here?" you whispered.

after that exchange, you know a lot of people recognized him, he left after taking an autograph from you against his will he needed to leave immediately.

"oh no—" he's posted in the social media attending your fansign, "oh— it's alright! they didn't mention that we might be dating, thank god!" you sighed in relief, but he's pouting like a kid.

you're facetiming him, but all he does is murmur and talk about how there's nothing wrong with being mistaken for a couple because they actually are.

"we already talked about this, mingyu. i can't just ruin your career. sure, there are still fans who'll support you, but some of them will hate you and make rumors about you that may cause your downfall."

you're just like him fr!!!!! this little kitty keeps bumping his head on stuff bc he misjudges how short something is (or how tall he is) and so the two of you together are Walking Hazards. neither of you can walk in a straight line. you're constantly bumping shoulders, or bumping into other people, or just bumping into Stuff all the time. jeonghan jokes that you just make each other worse, and you protest every time before accidentally bumping into a table or a wall and making junhui trip over your feet bc he was standing far too close to you

acts like it's the end of the world every time. wails loudly, whips out an emergency aid kit from somewhere and asks you to "show me the injury babe, show me where the wall hurt you so i can fix it immediately!!!!!" even if it's just a light, accidental touch against the wall as you turn a corner, he's fussing over your shoulder and asking if you need any bandages. definitely carried u bridal style one time bc you just kept on bumping into things as you walked and he was like. that's it. i can't have you being hurt anymore just jump into my arms and ill carry u!!!! he ended up almost tripping over thin air but oh well. he means well. 

wonwoo

his eyes immediately zero in on you whenever he hears a soft "thump" and the sound of you either swearing your head off or making a small "oops" sound, depending on how hard you'd hit something this time. always assesses if you've hurt yourself badly before deciding how to respond, but these days he's learnt that your bumps often aren't incredibly life threatening and more like a little kitten bumping into their reflection in the mirror bc they didn't even know reflections existed. it's kind of cute, he thinks, even if he does wince in sympathy a little when you stub your toe against a chair leg and then start swearing like a sailor

woozi

you come running into his room to show him something before abruptly tripping over a fold in a rug, bashing into the wall and knocking his headphones off his side table all in the span of three seconds, and he doesn't know whether he should laugh or ask you if you're okay. he's kinda used to it now tho, so he does both, and you just roll your eyes before flopping onto his bed and pulling out your phone to show him the video you originally came to show. it's a normal occurrence, you're both used to it, and he's long since given up trying to protect you from your habits

yelps in surprise every time, and then sucks in his teeth and clicks his tongue, pulling you closer to him to avoid any more accidents. rubs your arm or your hip or wherever you've managed to hit yourself against something this time, telling you that your body is precious okay u can't keep hurting yourself like this >:(( still lowkey thinks you look like an adorable bumbling baby animal tho, especially when you walk wobbily and end up bumping into something before shaking your head confusedly and continuing on your path. is trying to teach you better spacial awareness. can't tell if it's actually working or not.

he loves it. thinks it's hilarious. not the part where you might hurt yourself, but the part where you run into stuff and go "oops" so adorably. the both of you are The Clumsy™ couple with mingyu breaking things left and right and you giving yourself bruises every day when you bump into the latest innocent object that had been minding its own business. the first few times he was worried you'd hurt yourself really badly, but once he realised that you didn't get too hurt from it then he'd resorted to grinning at you adoringly (like your terrible peripheral vision was something cute???) bc he just thinks anything you do is so funny and sweet

always has an arm slung over your shoulder whenever he can while out walking on the street to protect you from dangerous corners or lamp posts or anything while you're out and about. it doesn't stop you bumping your hip against like, those mini standing cafe signs, or tripping over cracked paving slabs though, no matter how securely he's holding you into his side. you always end up making a surprised noise when you bump into something and then immediately apologise to the object, and it makes seokmin burst into laughter every time and pull you even closer to him because he just thinks that it's the funniest and cutest thing ever

soooo protective of you like actually. he would totally not be averse to the idea of wrapping you up in bubble wrap from the moment you wake up to the moment you're back in your safe and not dangerous bed at the end of the day. tsks affectionately and has lovingly dubbed you his mini walking disaster. makes startled noises every time you walk into or out of a room and accidentally trip over the uneven flooring or your own feet. tells you to pay better attention to ur surroundings, but tbh he's one to talk bc he's stubbing his toe against a table leg literally five times a month

Jeonghan knew you’d only slump down on his bed and let out a dramatic sigh for one reason only.

And knowing more than well what that reason was, he turned on his chair to look at you with a playful grin. “So, how did Seokmin make your knees weak this time?”

“He breathed,” you mumbled, hoping for it to be so quiet that Jeonghan wouldn’t have caught it, but concluded from the snort he let out that it had not gone past him. 

“And?” he inquired with a quirked eyebrow and stared at you knowingly.

Sighing, you got Jeonghan’s big decoration pillow to your lap to fiddle with, and allowed your thoughts to drift off to the man who, truly, had made your knees weak for the nth time already.

Right when you were about to start talking, Jeonghan got up and snorted. “Actually, if we’re going to do this, we’re going to need coffee. Your treat.”

"But,” you began, but all he had to do was give you a sweet smile for you to get up, too. “But you’re not ordering the most expensive drink on the menu again.”

“Where’s the fun if I don’t take the chance when I see one?” he laughed as the two of you began making your way our of the Seventeen dorm and towards a coffee shop you regularly went to instead.

You were relieved when Jeonghan actually stuck to an iced americano with his order, and a few minutes later you were seated by a table next to a wall.

Jeonghan took a sip of his drink and grinned while looking at you. “So, begin.”

“He’s just,” you began and took a sip of your drink as though to calm down your nerves, “so dreamy. He’s always so friendly and sweet, and always makes sure I’m feeling good, and he has the funniest jokes, and he’s so attractive and...”

“And you went to see his musical?” Jeonghan suggested, his eyebrows raised knowingly, and he snickered when you let out a defeated sigh and nodded your head. “Yeah, those scenes were really something.”

“He did them really well,” you said with a small smile, thinking back to just how invested you had been in the musical, and in particular Seokmin’s performance in it. “Everyone was praising him so much, and he really deserved all of it.”

“He really does,” Jeonghan nodded, and before he was able to say more, you began rambling.

“And it’s so dumb but my heart just, it begins racing whenever I’m with Seokmin, and having him close is always so comfortable and we get along so well, and I wish I could spend more time with him and tell him how I feel even though it could never be mutual, and I,” you said, nearly running out of breath with how much you had to say, and sighed heavily. “I’m so smitten.”

“Nothing new about that,” Jeonghan said good-humoredly, grinning while sucking on his straw, and tilted his head a little once he’d let the straw fall off his lips. “Would telling Seokmin how you feel be that bad, though?”

You stared at him and blinked. “He’d just turn me down and at the moment yes, that would be that bad. He could never love me back.”

“So, what are you going to do?” he asked, pouting a little at you, and you shrugged with a sigh.

“I don’t know. I’d say I’d get over him but it’s so difficult when he’s so perfect and I’m so dumbly in love with him,” you muttered, your heart aching a little as you began rambling about how much you just wanted to be with Seokmin, cuddle up to him whenever you felt like it, and more than anything, make sure that his bright smile never dimmed down.

Jeonghan hummed with a soft smile on his lips and nodded, but once he looked over your shoulder, his eyebrows suddenly shot up and he put his coffee down. “Oh wow, I really need to go use the toilet.”

Before you were able to process what was going on, he’d already gotten up and quickly walked away from the table, and when you saw someone standing next to you, you immediately became very aware of your surroundings and what you had just poured out to your best friend.

“Is this seat available?” you heard a very familiar voice ask, and like always, the voice alone had you melting a little.

You turned to look up at Seokmin, your cheeks hot and your heart hammering in your chest. “Y-yeah, I guess so.”

Seokmin grinned and sat down on Jeonghan’s seat, letting out a bit of a nervous laughter. “So...”

“So... if I’m reading the situation right, you... probably heard me?” you asked, hardly able to look at Seokmin, and got a warm smile from him.

“Yeah, I did,” he said softly and looked at you with the warmest look in his eyes. “I just never thought you’d be so blind, Y/N.”

Frowning, you moved your eyes to Seokmin’s brown ones, and the warmth with which he was looking back at you had you weak. “Huh?”

You could see a rosy color rise to Seokmin’s cheeks, and this time it was him averting his gaze. “I just... I thought it was kind of obvious that I have feelings for you, too.”

It felt as though all air left your lungs as you simply stared at Seokmin, unable to utter a single word.

Then it hit you, and your lips formed a pout. “It wasn’t obvious, I thought you were just being nice.”

Seokmin laughed heartily and shook his head before looking deep into your eyes warmly. “As much as I care about my friends, you better believe I’m usually not that fast to pull them further away from the road, nor do I enthusiastically make sure they’ve eaten at least three times a day.”

You nodded slowly, and as you began putting pieces together, you melted into a warm smile. “And that’s why you always wanted to know when I’d gotten home?”

“Partially,” Seokmin grinned and tilted his head a little. “I was always a bit unsure about your feelings, but... what you just told Jeonghan really leaves no room for misunderstandings.”

Wanting to bite your tongue off at the thought of what Seokmin had heard a moment before, you nodded with a quiet, embarrassed laugh. “It really doesn’t, does it.”

The two of you sat in a surprisingly comfortable silence for a while, and it was only broken by Jeonghan when he came to pick up his iced americano.

“You guys are taking a bit longer than I thought so I’ll just take this,” he said quickly and walked away just as fast as he’d come back, and you laughed.

Seokmin looked at you with a smile still playing on his lips. “Do you... want to head back to the dorm to maybe... discuss this more?”

“Will I get to hold your hand?” you asked, half joking, and felt your heart flutter in your chest when Seokmin nodded, and with the warmest voice, said that that would be perfect.

You finished your drink first, however, but not much later you were back at the dorm, this time in Seokmin’s room, quietly talking about the future, because now one thing was for sure: you both wanted to be together, romantically, and as though to seal that, Seokmin brought your hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss to the back of it.

So i am retconning my JeonghanxJoshua omegaverse. Dont worry the setting is still the same just some setting and plot different

• On my Omegaverse. They only get to know their 2nd gender on their 18 birthday. But also will have late bloomer (like Jihoon seen in MingyuxJihoon )

• They were close ever since they met. Jeonghan was the one approached first and being really nice with Jisoo

• Occasionally teasing Jisoo by teaching him weird Korean making other people laughs at him (of course Jeonghan will properly apologise)

• The reason is also because Jeonghan likes it when Jisoo just innocently listens to him. Even though Hansol also teaches Jisoo Korean as well.

• Jisoo, after a while he got fond of Jeonghan, looks up at him actually. Jisoo appreciated Jeonghan's enthusiasms and effort to practise and sing. While Jeonghan dotes on Jisoo and proud of Jisoo being multilingual.

• Them being fond with each other, hugs, back hugs, hair ruffles, gazes. Of course is just Jeonghan being affectionate and Jisoo accepted it because he was brought up at western so he could tolerate it better.

• Jisoo would just follow Jeonghan anywhere lol. They find it funny too because its always happens naturally.

• Jisoo looks up at Jeonghan and Seungcheol even more when they find out they are Alphas.

• Jisoo being the 3rd hyung also hope that he could alpha so that it will stable the team even more.

• Male omega in this au is not that rare actually. People are already accepting and dropping weird stereotypes. So omega can work properly as well because of new type of meds. But only heat period is just something cannot be undone.

• Due to the culture history, there are still some stereotype of AlphaxAlpha, even though in this universe, people don't really care much. (Unless u are from upper class or royalty. Or you being a traditional minded person.)

• So times comes where doctor comes to check when Jisoo fully becomes 18 years old.

• Jisoo is nervous, Seungcheol and Jeonghan are close during blood test

• But during consultation, its a private time so Seungcheol and Jeonghan did not get to join in.

• This is when doctor revealed to Jisoo that he is an Omega.

• When Jisoo knew the news he froze.

• For some reasons, he felt devastated and ashamed. He felt he does not deserve to stand beside his team mate, even Jeonghan.

• Jeonghan when the kids asked hin about his partner preferences : well i will be grateful if my partner is an Alpha too...

• Jisoo who is sitting other side strumming his guitar eventually heard it and was flushed with unknown emotions. He just quietly puts down the guitar and leaves.

• Jeonghan noticed Jisoo's emotion aura change as he sees him leaving.

• But Jeonghan did not finished his words actually and Jisoo did not get to hear it.

• Jeonghan, S.coups and Vernon also was the ones to suggest they should not be talking about gender preferences anymore and the boys agreed (because they are a jumble of alphas betas and omegas)

• Jisoo would just say he is fine, because they are all curious on stuffs like this so he does not fully blame them for having the conversation. Jisoo thanked them for being considerate.

• But from then on, Jisoo distanced himself from Jeonghan which Jeonghan felt really weird.

• Jun probably : Jeonghan hyung why is Jisoo hyung avoiding you like he'd saw a ghost?

• Jeonghan awkwardly laughs

• Seungcheol : must have been you playing a weird prank on him

• Cues in Jeonghan slapping Seungcheol on his shoulders.

• Mingyu probably : but Jisoo hyung was acting weird ever since his birthday right?

• Jun : I do see Jisoo hyung tends to stick with Vernon though

• Meanwhile, Jisoo's scent actually flooded the practise room before he ran out.

• It triggers Seungcheol, Jeonghan, Mingyu and Wonwoo ( I have established in before Mingyu and Wonwoo are early bloomers, not yet have rut before 18 but they already showing alpha traits)

• The kids who are not aware of the reasons well were scared.

• Jeonghan yelled at the others to ran out even ask them to ran back to dorm first

• Seungcheol asked Jun to go to adults and claimed that they will lock themselves in.

• But before that happen, Jeonghan rushed out before anyone realised.

• Jeonghan felt the scent is calling him and luring him to Jisoo.

• Apart from a weird heat emerging from his core, Jeonghan also heavily felt the urge to protect Jisoo at all cost. Before other alphas could find Jisoo.

• Jeonghan murmuring while following Jisoo's scent : Please be safe, Jisoo-ah

• And Jisoo now is having a cold water head shower. He buries his head under the tap and keep hoping water will calm him down. He has already taken meds but it does not seems to be effective yet

• But he could feel a scent coming near and he begged for his heat to go away

• Then he heard someone calling out his name

• Its Jeonghan panting after all the running

• Jisoo then remembered all sorts of things, how the doctor told him about outcomes of omega male in heat if some untamed alpha assaulted them.

• And he remembered he does not want Jeonghan to know his omega gender

• And Jeonghan is an alpha standing in front of him. And drawing himself closer towards oneself.

• Jisoo panicked, backed his away and tried to lock himself into toilet cubicle

• But was stopped by Jeonghan and Jeonghan grabbed Jisoo's wrist

• This is the first time Jeonghan really really exploded and shouted at Jisoo.

• Jeonghan pulled Jisoo up and they both are ready to run. Lucky the nurse already sensed things are off and already rushed to where the 2 boys were.

• The nurse just finished took care of the other alpha boys that locked themselves in. And Seungcheol told the nurse Jeonghan and Jisoo are still out there, so the nurse went to find them.

• Jeonghan hurriedly back off once he saw the nurse. Letting Jisoo to get attentive care first.

• After Jeonghan got his suppressant injection. He is more calmer now. He helped the nurse to get Jisoo to infirmary. And later go check up Seungcheol with the others.

• The other boys are calmer too and they are worried about Jisoo too

• After confirmed Jisoo is now safe they went home. Apologised for scaring the other kids.

• The whole team now realised its not gonna be like before anymore. There will be more omegas and even betas. They need to work things out.

• Jeonghan speculated Jisoo's off character behaviour might be due to finding out himself is an omega.

• Seungkwan: Why he did not tell us?

• Jeonghan: He is scared. And scared to ask for help. As if we will push him away if he told us.
