To my best friend

My best friend is someone I would never want to lose,

For she means everything in the world to me,

The first person I share anything with, good news or bad news,

She lights up my life like lights on a Christmas tree.

She understands the words that my mouth doesn’t speak,

She comforts me when I feel devastated,

For anything and everything, she’s the one I seek,

In my life, she’s the most celebrated.

It’s true, she gobbles up all my food,

She can be really annoying at times too,

What she’s gonna do next depends on her mood,

In a very serious situation she may even say “The cow goes Moo”.

She never agrees when I say that she’s beautiful,

She never accepts credit for anything,

She’s an awesome soul, its provable,

Don’t get her pissed coz something at you, she will fling.

Sure, she has her own negative side,

But life is beautiful when you focus on only the good,

For me, being with her is a pride,

After finding her, the meaning of love and friendship, I understood.
