Hi friends. I'm in the mood to write a fic (maybe for @klaineadvent?) and seem to be in the mood for a high school AU - I need some inspirations. Any prompts/concepts for a high school Kurt meets Blaine?

I also have a potential college AU germinating (Kurt, an intern at Vogue, has a hook up with third year NYADA student Blaine. Kurt starts NYADA second semester (like in season 5) only to find out Blaine is his dance TA - something like that...)

But I'm actually more in the mood for a coming of age high school AU - help!

The Roulette is back, Peeps!

Hey! I'm sorry for my hiatus. Life was keeping my head closing to the underwater level, but I think I'm finally getting back to the shallow end on life's ocean. LOL. I've decided that we will continue with the Roulette, but I'm going to try to pace myself this time. We will write two prompts this year We will try to keep both stories at ten chapters or less. Here are the prompts:

story prompt -Wedding Planner Kurt and Best Man Blaine have to work together to keep a wedding between feuding families from turning into a brawl while fighting off the advances of the bridesmaids and the Groom's handsy gay cousin.

9. -Kurt is an employee at Hummel Tire and Lube, and they're short handed. Burt hires Blaine as an extra set of hands, but he and Kurt do not hit it off. Co workers Klaine. Enemies to Lovers. We will be writing this story from July through September. We will publish in October.

Thanks for recc'ing my story. That story is actually one of my faves that I've written which is extra surprising because it's not a trope I normally even like (famous!blaine) - but somehow I wrote it and I liked it. Enjoy!

1. Debut fic:  Reverb by Fickelodeon

Post-Michael thru Season 4, Blaine’s just a little unwell, and it’s not long before everyone can tell. Physical and Mental illness. Hurt/Comfort. If Robin Cook wrote for Glee and General Hospital, the story would probably go like this. Universe Expansion for Seasons 3 and 4 wherein I add some elements to canon and leave some out but manage to get everyone back to place where they can still have the endings they got in canon. Honestly, I just wanted to write H/C, but the more I hurt Blaine, the more I realized he wasn’t going to handle that very well, so I added in diagnosed mental illness. All in all, it’s everything I love to read in fic all in one epic story, just in case I don’t ever get the chance to write these characters again.

Blaine gets hit by a taxi and ends up in the hospital - so naturally, as his best friend and long-standing roommate, Kurt visits him at every possible opportunity until he gets to come home.

It only takes a couple of visits before Kurt notices something impossibly endearing: the beeping of Blaine’s heart rate monitor speeds up whenever his friends come to visit. At least, Kurt assumes it happens with all of Blaine’s friends, until Sam has no idea what he’s talking about.

All the excitement about Darren Criss possibly doing another Broadway role (including the comment that he could “be a farmer or a cowman”) reminded me of my Oklahoma! fic series, where Blaine is playing Curly in NYADA’s production of Oklahoma! The Journeying, 24k Freshly graduated from music school, Blaine is thrilled when he is chosen to stay in the cast when the production of Into the Woods he was lucky enough to be part of in Boston moves to Broadway.  He knows it’s going to be hard returning to New York City – the scene of his epic breakup with his fiancé and the emotional meltdown which cost him his place at NYADA.  But he’s determined that this time, everything will be different.  Little does Blaine know that out of thousands of potential castmates, his director has chosen none other than Kurt Hummel to play the part of Jack.  Blaine has worked hard to recover from their breakup three years ago, and struggles to find a new way to relate to Kurt and simultaneously protect himself, especially when tragedy strikes.  

This story looks at what would have happened if Kurt and Blaine had reacted differently to the break up in 6x01 than they did in canon; if events hadn’t brought them back together as soon, and if forgiveness hadn’t come so easily.

Ever After, 51k After much soul-searching, Blaine and Kurt have reunited, and are ready to enjoy themselves together in New York while performing on Broadway in Into the Woods.  But they and their characters discover that getting your wish doesn’t guarantee happiness.  Although they are certain they want to be together, circumstances take a toll – the stress of performing every night, Kurt’s grief over the loss of his father, and Blaine’s struggle to give enough but not too much of himself away.   This is the beginning of their “ever after.”

Full Fic: Chemistry Sucks

Summary: Nerd!Kurt/ Popular!Blaine high school AU - Kurt joins Glee club in his junior year to please his dad, though he’d rather just hide out in the library until he can graduate and get out of Lima.

Turns out he’s not the only gay kid in town. Too bad the other out gay kid is cocky and popular senior, Blaine Anderson. Sure of himself, gets all the solos, things served to him on a platter. Kurt finds him shallow and infuriating.

Blaine finds Kurt square and irritating.

Yet at a party one night, they promise to sleep together if they don’t have other opportunities by the end of the year. A dare. Naturally competitive spirits.

Also a very important point. Is there a word for it? For an actor, or anyone, pretending to be LGBT+? Or else pretending to be any kind of minority in order to gain attention. I feel like there should be a word for that. Would it come under the umbrella of appropriation? 

Because it’s certainly happened (just not here).

I am sending my mormon!klaine wish-scenes in an ask - you can publish and I imagine others will add theirs to it, or you can keep private just for you - whatever you want! The world you have created is epic (and really should be a mini-series on TV but I have no such connections). So I hope that in slow burn (but not TOO slow) mormon!klaine fashion, we will get to see:

- The kitchen conversation after Crazy For You where they talk about all the new and what they're ready for and what they're not, and how they see sex and what they have, and all that - my cliffhanger!

- The scene after Summer Skies (I mean that ending has strong 'I wanna go to your house' the first time vibes - though not sure what first time that specific night will bring)

-Blaine comes out to Schwester Rose (they have a nice friendship!)

-Conversation/s between them about sex and religion and how each of them (particularly Kurt, as Blaine sort of gets it instinctively) shift their thinking on what is allowed/acceptable/holy

- First time they see each other naked on purpose

-Kurt telling someone (friend? Burt?) that he is with Blaine and how awesome/life affirming it is - maybe Blaine overhearing?

-Kurt confessing to Blaine that he is willingly/happily masturbating (omg that shower scene was amazing)- before or after they first kiss

-Having to navigate being together and being distracted by each other with all the responsibilities of their mission

- a scene back in the US where they are together and in the same place (before the scene where Kurt is thinking Blaine will propose) and "allowed" to be together (maybe a weekend away somewhere) publicly and how they navigate a freedom they've never had before

-all the scenes where they navigate sex and their own lack of knowledge/experience (come on, who doesn't want those firsts!)

-Elder Nixon figures out that they are together (we know he is supportive from the dentist!)

Those are the ones I've got right now. I can't wait for all the rest and thank you for your writing.

Woohoo!!!! This is delightful @gleekto. And most of these are in the plan. The one that wasn't was because of technical mission-related reasons, but I might be able to work around it.

Hi Noemie! I absolutely loved both Unorthodox and Shtisel - kind of dying to talk about them tbh!. Shtisel's magic is in the relatability of all the characters within a Haredi community. Unorthodox is one person's story and I do understand your feeling (it is upsetting) - it is specifically the Satmar community in Williamsburg which is the extreme of extremes. That is specifically Satmar is clearer in the book (which I'm reading now). It is heavy but Haas is brilliant. Do recommend both!

Shtisel was very interesting, and I liked the individuality of each character

Like I said to my anon, I intend on watching Unorthodox once I feel more settled in my moods (which are all over the place rn, who could have guessed). 

Maybe I will start with the book though? Thank you for giving me your opinion <3
