kaito's ua verse.

name: kuroba kaito. alias: kaitō kid. age: sixteen-seventeen. (one year older than class 1-a). gender: male. height: 165cm-172cm. hair colour: black. eye colour: blue. blood type: b. quirk: legally, his quirk is nimble fingers (軽快手先), a quirk where the user has flexible fingers that allow for greater ease of moments. in reality, his quirk is actually lucky magnet (運がいい磁石), a quirk that allows kaito to control his luck. however, it comes with a drawback -- any good luck that kaito calls on will give him a dose of bad luck later. however, the opposite is true as well. sometimes, kaito has bad days on purpose just so he'll have a good day saved for when he needs it. lucky magnet is a combination of an emitter and accumulation type quirk. it can affect his environment and himself, but not necessarily other people. status: alive. family: kuroba tōichi (father; alive, presumed dead). kuroba chikage (mother; alive). occupation: student. affiliation: villain ( what the public / heroes sees him as ) / vigilante ( what he actually is ).

character blurb: kaito was the son of world famous magician kuroba tōichi and housewife kuroba chikage. when kaito was eight, however, his father died in a stage accident caused by an explosion that turned into a fire. kaito witnessed his father's death and only escaped with his life due to an intervention from a hero. however, when his father's death was ruled as an accident, kaito grew disenfranchised with both the police and heroes.

when kaito was fifteen, he discovered a secret room in his house where he found the cloak of a villain once named kaitō kid despite the fact that kaitō kid was holding a heist after his seven years of hiatus. kaito decided to wear the outfit and go confront kid at the heist to discover that his father had been the original kaitō kid. kaito decided to step into his father's shoes and become kaitō kid and discovered that a nebulous organisation had his father murdered because his father wouldn't steal a jewel for them. kaito has since then vowed to destroy the organisation and find the jewel that they wanted and destroy it.

notes: despite his villain status, kaitō kid is popular among civilians due to his "cool magic tricks" and his non-violent tendencies. he also returns everything he steals to the rightful owner, which has granted him considerable popularity over his kindness. he is considered to be low-priority, which is why heavy hitters such as all might or endeavour have not gone after him. instead, he has a dedicated police task force to go after him.

for the sake of ease of interactions, kaito does go to ua in the general studies course but only because his best friend wanted to go to ua. they both made it in without any issue, but he couldn't care less about heroes and the like. as of right now, kaito's career path is to become a magician.
