Particularly when the humans are already creating a stir by trying to get one of their own in the Spectres."

Of course, he can personally see the potential that humanity might bring to the Spectres - or, at least, one human in particular. Commander Shepard certainly stands out above the rest of her species, though he's been careful not to voice that opinion where Saren might so easily hear, particularly since he himself put her name forward as a potential candidate, much to Sparatus's annoyance.

And anything that annoys his cousin surely is worth the effort.
