Now I’m even more curious, what’s Lydia’s opinion of Kurda? / @mariiposas unprompted questions status: always accepting !

HOOOOOOO this is a whole box of angst I didn't know I'd be unpacking ajsdkjas.

So I haven't talked much about her relationships with the other vampires on this blog as I have on past blogs for Lydia (had two others and lost the passwords because I have the memory of peanut), but she was also good friends with Kurda Smahlt. I could actually lowkey argue she was closer to Kurda than she was with any of the others but she won't talk about him unless pried so it's not easily brought up. Lowkey almost shipped them even, but that's a whole other thing. He was closer to her age compared to the others she knew or met (who most were MUCH older than her and Darren was much younger while Kurda was only 30 years older than Lydia).

If Kurda is brought up in post story 'present' parts of her timeline Lydia refuses to talk about it for several reasons. His betrayal was one of the most hurtful moments in her time as a vampire besides the loss of Rosaline (I say this because nothing can be more hurtful than her time being alive and losing everything all at once, but this crept fairly close to agonizing).

Yet, despite what he had done, she does make a passing mention after his death that she could never truly hate him as much as she absolutely wanted to for what he did because Kurda always had good intentions and only ever put others first rather than himself. She even broke down after his execution when she was finally alone. Any mention of Kurda is painful enough, it's fairly easy to see it in her eyes no matter how hard she tries to hide it. Which of course that leads to him becoming Harkat.

I'd say knowing that the tiny people belonged to Desmond made her EXTREMELY distrustful towards them. I'm talking anytime poor little guy was around her she would stare daggers into him like he was some type of monster to be rid of, but after it's revealed that he was Kurda before there's an entire turn around in her attitude towards him. More polite, eyes softening when she looks at him, etc. Although she still looks extremely sad when she does lay eyes on him. She doesn't really speak to him though. She refrains from it even though he doesn't remember anything himself even after Desmond revealing it(especially since his reaction to that is different depending on the Manga or Book), and remains that way towards him. She never sees Harkat again after the events of the series, but muses about him fondly saying she found him 'endearing and somewhat adorable' yet won't outright say it's because of his connection to Kurda.

NOW IF WE GO WITH ALTERNATE TIMELINE WE GET A GLIMPSE OF AT THE END OF THE SERIES (which l lowkey wanna make a verse for because happier??? Lydia? Come on now-)

I'd say with many of the ones she lost being alive, her personality changes a lot. All of the deaths experiences contributed to Lydia being more cold and distant as well as definitely contributed to her habit of pushing others away. If theoretically that alternate timeline happened instead and Kurda was somehow alive, she would still hold Kurda in high regard noting that he might have been a traitor before, but she herself eventually forgave him. So she would be much more willing to be openly opinionated about him and it would mostly be positive rather than driven by her feelings of being upset and hurt.

TLDR: Her feelings towards that man are a little sus, but she wont admit it nor talk about him because everything that happened with him was too painful.

Also their personalities were very similar in terms of 'intelligence/kindness over fighting strength' and I think if we put all of those events aside Lydia genuinely liked him for not only that but just how kind-hearted Kurda was. Other vampires may have seen that as a weakness, but Lydia admired him for it and often thought he made up for what some of the others lacked.

I think he'll find it odd how you could be so interested in something entirely fictional (he's not judging tho, man is a history nerd and he knows it) he may be just a bit concerned in the beginning

But it all shifted when you mentioned the books

That peaked his interest and you give some recommendations on the first ones to read. Obviously reminding him that what happens in the books doesn't happen in the games

I feel like he's a night owl and will definitely be reading them late at night. Sometimes you even join in and it becomes a fun little geeking out session, especially when he has so many questions and you're happy to answer

Ironically more into the horror aspect of fnaf (especially in some of the books because damn, messed up shit do be happening) and he's eating it all up fr (rip matpat mpreg that he read because, you little shit, you'd definitely tell him about it. Man was beyond flabbergasted and also learned about the theory side of fnaf) (definitely one was to make an impression 💀)

I think he's definitely more of a casual fan of fnaf

Probably the most open to learning about your interests, especially fnaf

He thought it would be something simple like the video games he's played while on earth, boy was he wrong

You've got him hooked on the lore, it confused him at first but you guided him through the most confusing bits, like not canon works like the books, security breach, the peak of the fandom etc.

You guy's definitely watched "An Undeniably Canon Five Nights at Freddy's Timeline" and he was definitely hollering while watching it with you and it helped him understand the lore just a bit better (bonus that y'all watched it like a movie night!)

In absolute awe of the Fnaf songs, each one is a banger

He'll definitely ramble about it with you if it's your hyperfixation and he's always happy to learn more about what makes you happy

Bulkhead

More reluctant on it especially because it's in the horror genre and i don't think he takes it too well

He understands the idea and how it can be interesting but you might need to leave out agony and renment, might frighten him too much

Please don't show him the VHS tapes, that'll certainly scare the color off of him

He listens to the songs and thinks the community is very creative

Definatly likes the more cute and wholesome side of fnaf

Overall he's open to you but be mindful of his heart, he's a softie

I feel like he may be the hardest one to introduce to but it's not your fault, it's bumblebee's (He's bothered prowl with videogames and stuff before)

But i think he'd give you a chance, seeing that he cares alot about you and this means alot to you

I think he'd be more intrigued with the horror mechanics of the game, learning how a mix of jumbled sounds and scenes could scare someone

He'd be down to play it/ watch you play it/ watch gameplays

He definitely jumps ip from the jumpscares. In his defense he was caught off guard

Overall he'd be supportive, listening to you explain the convoluted story and all the details

He'd remember just about everything you tell him. It's how he shows he cares, actively listening and remembering things you like

He'd find it cute how you like fnaf so much, reminds him of how focused and happy nature makes him

He at first waves you off, saying that he's to busy or tired to care

But this guy's got a soft spot for you

So he might not take the deep dive into fnaf, but he definitely listens to you

He'll let you ramble while he's working on something. Sometimes you feel like you're being overbearing and stop talking, he notices of course, "I'm still listening, this William guy sure is a piece of work"

He remembers everything you tell him, so you find yourself over the moon when he remembers some reference you said like a month ago

Finds himself pleasantly surprised that it's more interesting than just a horror game, but i feel like he'll deny that (but watch him ask what else happened)

He probably is taking this more seriously than what he needs to, but you appreciate it

Being on earth for as long as he has, just collecting dust and not being able to go anywhere is pretty crushing... And boring

He'd listen to you ramble on the premise that he's so utterly bored that he'd listen to just about anything

He'd be on the edge of his seat waiting to hear what happens next, he'd be interested if you also showed him just about everything

He'd grow used to it and doesn't sincerely care what anyone else thinks, letting you ramble and just enjoy yourself

He'd be lying if he didn't say he enjoyed that time together

Probably freaks him out ngl but he'd shake it off under the impression that he couldn't be afraid of such a silly human story

But as much as it would freak him out man is invested to know everything

He'd jump up and scream at the jump scares when watching the gameplay. Every. Time.

He'd be in a love-hate relationship with fnaf, loving the complexity but hating the horror aspects

Honestly you rambling about it helps ease him into it, you're calming and so happy when you talk about it

Might not be as interested in the beginning, halfheartedly listening until you mention Springtrap

He reminds her of herself, an abomination both organic and technology. Both painful experiences and the agony of never being what they once were

She ends up enjoying listening to you explain how agony and remnant works. It's reminds her of her experiments to return herself to normal

She'd listen to you as she works, using your voice as a way to ground herself as she works

Definitely shocked at the family drama, but she loves the tea

Overall happy to be able to have one more thing to talk to you about.

I’ve been struggling so bad to find skins of high quality and detail that are darker hues, or eye/nose masks that don’t lose detail the deeper the shade gets. I saw that you gave a resource list of skins a few years back when Nyanaath looked a lil different, so i wasn’t sure if there was anything relatively new that you used or not. I see the pores and details in Nyanaath’s skin and am just dying to know how to get like you lmaoo

First of all, Hiii and thank you! 😁💕Happy new year! Prepare for a bit of rambling but I link to some stuff in the end.

I want to start off saying that most of my sim pics are edited to some degree, especially previous pics from the past. I'm trying to rely less on editing to make my sims looks nice, but of course there is only so much you can do in a sims game.

This is an example of what Nyanaath's skin looks like unedited. EA lighting sucks ass and looks patchy in Sims 3 on dark colored objects in general and unfortunately, sims are not excluded. I end up smoothing the discoloration and patchiness with editing 😭

Before vs After

Skins as dark as Nena's have to be made dark from the start because using a pale/light based skin and trying to use an in-game slider to darken it never turns out good in any game. Dark skin reflects light and shadows differently than light skin and needs its own already-dark base.

I will seriously consider trying to throw together a skinblend for male and female skins that are dark like this because I truly think there are none. BUUUUT LOL rambling aside I do have new recommendations for makeup and skin details since that post:

1. First up is @sourlemonsimblr for makeup. Especially for eyebrows and lipsticks! A lot of their lipsticks are insanely detailed and recolorable enough that they can fit most darker tones. Their skins are lovely too and they've even recently made a dark skin which I will💗Link Here💗. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet but they always have quality stuff. Take a stroll through their Downloads page because it's definitely worth it. 2. Next up for skin detail makeups is @smallsimmer. They have so many good nose makes and eye/lip details that can be recolored to use on your darker skinned sims! If you ever had a skin you really liked and wanted to switch up the nose, eyes or lips, their skin detail makeup will absolutely come in clutch. They even have a few converted for child and toddler sims (something ts3 is lacking in)💗Link Here💗 3. If you want some AF skins for darker sims that are readily available and detailed, I'd suggest @annoyinglydarkblaze I learned a lot about making skins from watching their journey into skin making a few years ago. Since they aren't as active anymore and their posts are a bit scattered I will link the skins I like best: 💗Here💗 💗Here💗 and 💗Here💗 4. My next pick for more masculine/male-centered CAS makeup and CC is @nectar-cellar Their cc has been helpful as I slowly update my male OCs. The Beards/detail makeup torso muscled-torso meshes and clothing are some of the best. 5. I also suggest @simtanico for sliders and their detail makeup. I have just about every slider they've created 😂They also make really well done maxis-match kinda styled clothes for male sims too.

I'm sure there are tons of other people I'm missing but its been a minute since I've been around simblr myself so I'll try to update this list as I go.

I'll also leave you with a little tip: Do NOT be afraid to use the opacity slider and layering with makeup on darker sims. Layering and opacity is your friend!

heyy!! i was wondering if you had any narcissa headcannons? mine revolves around nobleflower (idk if u ship them) but I see them as being a rather short relationship happening around 5th/6th year as im not sure how people so ideologically different would ever have a long -term thing. With the way that Alice is portrayed in fics (feisty, stubborn and has a strong moral compass) it seems that she would not tolerate narcissa’s views (I like a more canon version of narcissa) and it doesn’t make sense to ignore narcissa and lucius’ devotion to one another so I dislike when fics act as if narcissa would put Alice above Lucius, Draco or her immense privilege.

narcissa is my favorite of the black sisters, but i haven't had a chance to look at her in greater depth yet, so i don't have much, but here's what i was thinking or your post gave me the idea.

● I see narcissa as a very skilled seeker, she was clearly the star of the team before regulus took over. she actually taught him a lot of things on her own, so they have a close relationship.

● as for alice and nobleflower, I can only see this possibility for their relationship if alice is ravenclaw. they clearly went from rivals to lovers, two very skilled seekers who decided to put their endless energy instead of arguing into this brief affair. blacks love a challenge, and alice was a challenge for narcissa.

● but yes, narcissa is clearly one of those who will stick with her family and is not going to change her mind at a young age, so she and alice fall apart as soon as the word about war outside the school walls gets louder.

● I don't think that narcissa like bella fully believes in the ideology of purity of blood, in her case I see that she is one of those who is afraid to change. she was too young and relied on her family and new husband when it all started, and as time went on, she had fewer and fewer ways to escape. In this way, she and regulus are most similar to each other for me. but in the case of narcissa, when she starts to question some things, she already has a small child in her arms, which ties her to her family.

● coming back to the good stuff - i see narcissa as a bi awakening for lily and many other girls. yes, i personally have a crush on narcissa in the seekers form, and don't judge me. (I'm also a doubleflower shipper)

● I'm sorry to all the shippers of narcissa and lucius, but I can't see any real feelings between them. for me, their marriage looks more like a deal, it's not a case of an arranged marriage turned into real feelings. but I also can't say that narcissa suffered in this house or was under pressure from her husband. no, she is a strong woman and holds her head high, she rebuilds this house for herself and knows how to adjust the circumstances to her own comfort.

● she is one of the most prominent maternal figures for me, second only to lily. i have no doubt that her devotion to draco is the strongest she has ever felt for another person. her desire to protect him is why she did not dare to change sides, but it is also why she lied to the dark lord's face in the first place. and it is one of my favorite parts of the canon.

● speaking of sisters, her relationship with bella is clear - they stayed on the same side, and even as she watched her go mad, narcissa couldn't stop loving her as a sister.

● andromeda is more complicated, but it's still tied to love. losing her sister physically didn't mean she could stop loving her. i like to think that at the end of the story, they are reunited. andromeda lost her husband and daughter, was left with a young grandson in her arms, and at that moment, she needed a loved one by her side more than ever. and at the same time, narcissa had a window of opportunity to reconnect with her sister, having no one else on that side of the family left.

I hope that wasn't too shallow and chaotic.

I try to always do that for my WIPs but sometimes I forget to when I get a comment on an older fic. But that doesn't mean I don't read and appreciate them!

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I was about to say that I never write angsty endings, because I can't handle them, but then I remembered about whumptober where I dabbled in that, sort of. I think it's a tie between Aversion and Confinement, and even those have a glimpse of hope at the end because I'm just like that.

7. What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oh that's a tough one, since happy endings are my jam, so I've got plenty. But I think that To live a life, an installment in my first AU has a very happy ending, considering the angst that comes before.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I recall getting like... one really nasty comment once, years ago, but I've completely forgotten what it said, because I just deleted it and was sad about it for a few days and now it's gone from my mind, I just remember it happening because it's so rare.

And I've gotten a comment or two where a reader has disapproved of something in a fic, or where it's clear that they've interpreted something an entirely different way than I intended, and where they've chosen to express that in a not entirely nice way. I think when that's happened, I've left the comment, but haven't responded to it, because I just don't feel like going into discussions or spending my energy of that. But mostly all my readers are incredibly kind, which is a huge reason why I keep posting my work.

9. Do you write smut?

I have on occasion written a fic or two mostly focused on smut, upon request, and I incorporate sex-scenes into fics when I feel they serve a purpose.

10. Craziest crossover?

I've never written one, but I'm not opposed to them

Not that I know of.

I have plenty of shorter unpublished wips where I've just wanted to 'try' an idea, or get something out of my head. Or be especially self indulgent. Those never get past the draft stage. But anything I truly want to finish and post, I usually do finish. Eventually.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I honestly think that one of my writing strengths is keeping at it, even when everything feels impossible, because without that stubbornness, many of my fics would've gotten finished. Cheesy as it may sound.

On a more technical note, I think -hope- that I'm good finding a good pace in my stories, at least my latest ones. And... describing emotions maybe.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

The first thing that comes to mind, and that often feel the most limited by, is that English is my second language. That always adds a layer of insecurity. And I'm not great at writing action, or scenes with many characters (I always feel like I'm trying to juggle with way too many balls)

18. Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I think it can work great when it serves a purpose, but with my lacking language skills I just incorporate into the text that a character isn't speaking English, rather than typing the dialogue out in the actual language.

19. First fandom you wrote in?

My first ever fanfic I posted was for True Blood. Ten years ago now, which feels crazy.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

Tough one... If I'm only allowed finished fics, I'd have to say Breathe Again, because it's my first truly long, multi-chaptered project and I grew a lot as a writer -I think- while writing that. But I do want to give Home to you it's own shoutout (even if I have yet to finish that last chapter that's haunting me because I'm so afraid to mess it up) because it's so intrinsically connected to Breathe again.

That link aside, I have a transcript planned for Mansion of the Deathly Mirror just like I did with Chelmey's Casebook and London Holiday, but I don't even have the full first chapter completed yet, so I'll have to catch up whenever I have the time and materials to do so. I haven't had the time to work on it in many months, but don't worry, I haven't forgotten about it and I WILL make a better, FULL version of the translation, as soon as I can get to it (but right now I'm kinda supposed to be preparing for my PhD defence hahahahaha).

Now for some ramblings related to the above-linked Reddit post. Long story short: we have chances of securing the game. But for that to happen, we need to be patient, and we need to be silent. If you ever find footage of the game on youtube or elsewhere, no matter what you do, leave the player alone.

Let them upload at their pace and gather the crumbs as they fall off the table, because asking for them to let you eat the whole cake has never worked in the past. By that I mean: asking someone who owns the game "hey can I see your cool shiny thing asap plz plz plz" will result in that person blocking you, no longer posting any footage or content related to that cool shiny thing, and possibly disappearing off the face of the entire internet forever. I am neither joking, nor exaggerating.

I'm not talking that much about MotDM because we don't want to get too much attention drawn to it for the time being. But don't worry, if this game ever is found (and we have a whole team searching for it, we're just secretive on purpose -- for the reasons I mentioned here and for those that are explained in more detail in the Reddit post), we WILL make sure that the fandom knows about it. It's mostly just that right now, the only person we know who has the game and is somewhat willing to make a playthrough does not want any unwanted attention, and this person is not a friend of ours. They will stop uploading if people ask for them to upload faster, and they already threatened once to delete all their videos when someone asked them if they could "share the ROM." (No. No they won't. And even if they were willing to, we can't even make anything out of a ROM yet because of the hardware being stupidly complicated anyway.)

And nobody wants that.

I personally won't celebrate and heave a real breath of relief before footage of the full game from start to finish with as much content as possible is secured, which is why I don't talk about it a lot. I'm just paranoid that something might go wrong like it already has multiple times in the past hahaha

oooouh i get my inspiration from so so many places... a lot of character ideas come from existing media who's fandom i'm apart of and it usually stems from me wanting to make ocs in that universe or to steal some of the character dynamics/themes

when it comes to actual writing though, a lottt of my inspiration comes from fanfiction and oc works of friends (shoutout to u seth). and if i'm being completely honest, my ideas for specific stories comes from me just. pacing my room and talking to myself in the shower and thinking of interesting dialogue to form a story around

This is my banner for my Twitter account, and I decided to (temporarily at least) make it my tumblr's as well! The Sparks of Hope one was mainly just a placeholder until I got something more appropriate set up. I plan on making something new for this account, mainly because this one doesn't fit the dimensions of a tumblr banner, but I think it's good enough to leave as for now.

I haven't talked about my OCs outside of Pearl on this account, so I suppose consider this the "introduction to my OCs" post. I've had all of these girls since 2017 (or later in some cases) and I love them. They're my babies! A lot of my followers on Twitter like them as well, which I'm very happy for. While I wouldn't say they've made a huge impact on my life or changed it in any significant way, drawing them has generally made me a happier person over the years.

This particular piece of all my girls (except one who I came up with after the pic was made so she missed out, maybe next time!) taking a group photo together is probably the one I'm most proud of. I've never really drawn them interacting together despite really wanting to, and I'm very happy with the end result! It's definitely inspired me to do more stuff with them in the future.

Anyway, now I wanna talk about each one!

I already posted about Pearl a few times on this account but I think it's only fitting I start with her, considering she's my mascot and all. She's always been my go-to to draw whenever I wanna do something like a seasonal drawing or event. She's also been my pfp on everywhere aside from discord occasionally, so chances are if you know me, you're familiar with her.

A little girl like Pearl needs little friends, which is something she has in droves!

All six of these girls were made at around the same time, both so she'd have a friend group and so I could make even more characters and worlds that fit into the Mario universe. Obviously, Belle, Brooke, and Brittany are a closely-knit trio, and they're ones that I tend to use a lot alongside Pearl.

I've also been using Squishy more too. She was retired for a few years before I brought her back and came up with the idea that the girls haul her around (or she hauls herself around) with a wagon. Then I loved her even more!

I regrettably don't use Sarina or Diamond very much, which is a shame because I think they're great designs. I just don't think there's as many good opportunities to use them compared to the others.

Following them is Kia, who I made a few years later. While she technically falls closer to a Donkey Kong OC than a Mario one, I'd say she counts enough! I think my reasons for liking her are pretty self-explanatory - a cute Kremling who was abandoned by the rest of her people and taken in by the Kong Family, becoming an ape in everything but blood. She lives with the Kongs on DK Island so she doesn't get to interact with Pearl and friends much, but they're definitely friends!

And last but certainly not least is the character I made after I made the banner, Rabbid Pearl! As the Rabbids are supposed to be extreme parodies of the character they're portraying, I thought it would be fun to do the same here. Pearl is nice, friendly, and outgoing, while Rabbid Pearl is so friendly she will trap everyone she meets in a hug and make them her new best friend! She has no concept of personal space, so she can be a bit of a hassle to deal with. She was originally made as a one-off joke when I was caught up in Sparks of Hope hype. But then I fell in love with her, and decided to just make her a part of the friend group anyway. Next time I do another one of these group shots, she's definitely going on there!

Random observations of the trophies in Super Smash Bros. Melee, because I thought they were interesting - Part 2

And we're back. You can find the other part on my page where I go over a few things I had in mind when writing this, so let's just jump right in. I think this one may as well be common knowledge by now, but in case you haven't heard, Ganondorf's Classic trophy has an easter egg where if you change the lighting/background to the darkest one, his eyes glow red.

I know people always bring that up for his standard trophy, but I don't think anyone ever brings up this is also true for his Red and Blue Smash trophies.

Since we're talking about Ganondorf, let's talk about the one he copies; the man, the legend, the pilot himself, Captain Falcon. His Classic trophy seems to be some sort of modified version of his Melee model. Biggest differences I could spot are the colors, the missing logo on his back, and I think it has a lower polygon count, though it is very hard to tell.

And here are his F-Zero racers making what I believe is their first debut into 3D outside of their vehicles.

Despite most other series getting such a fancy GameCube treatment, the Star Fox crew does not. Instead, their models are based on their blocky renders from Star Fox 64.

But oddly enough, Andross avoids that. He's so special, he even gets TWO trophies! One based on his 64 incarnation and other being his SNES counterpart.

Though I suppose one could make an argument that Fox might also be an exception as well, if you want to count his Red/Blue Smash trophies as they are technically an interpretation of his design in proper 3D.

The Metroid characters are probably one of more interesting cases, as they never had an appearance on the 64, so their designs come from Super Metroid, a SNES game.

This somewhat applies to the Samus Unmasked trophy, though her hair seems shorter than in Super Metroid and is held in a small ponytail that you can't really see, because I forgot to take a screenshot of it. I might eventually go back and take a picture of it when I get the chance.

This one is more on the shorter side, as next up was some Kirby stuff that had one too many pictures, but oh well. I'll just make a Part 3 and continue from there soon. Maybe find a better way to include my images instead of having them eat up so much space. As per usual, to those that have gotten this far, thank you for giving this post the time out of your day/night to read more of my inane ramblings.

First of all, I wanted to say that your post about the internet being lonely really resonated with me. I'm gonna out myself as a Tumblr veteran here but I remember how Tumblr used to be and it was very different. People would follow other blogs instantly if they saw someone posted or reblogged stuff they liked. Ask games would be going on frequently, people would send messages a lot, or even follow back because idk, I guess it was fun to get to know people?

I came back to Tumblr after a long hiatus and deleting my old blog. Things have changed... A lot. I am on anon because I'm relatively active in a couple fandoms and idk paranoid people read this... But I feel like a lot of previously very welcoming communities have become (pardon my French) circle jerks for the same 5 people who don't care about maintaining a community or welcoming new people into it.

I realise I sounded super bitter here and I don't want you to feel like I'm dumping negative thoughts on you. Your art is awesome, I followed you because you posted stuff about a Pf2e game and stayed for cool stuff. Thanks for speaking up about how things are. I'll definitely be more mindful about interacting with artists and trying to do it more. Have a lovely day :)

I get that, yeah. I've been on tumblr pretty consistently since like... 2013 I wanna say? Because it's been the only social media site I've actually felt comfortable and happy being a part of for all these years. Before I came here I was a deviantart kid, and I remember the reason I made the switch is because a lot of my old deviantart friends had moved here and the site had started to feel very lonely and sterile in its interactions with fellow artists and fans. I'm definitely seeing a lot of similarities in this new feeling of loss of community here, but now there's not really all that many good alternatives. I've always hated instagram, and twitter was never good for my mental health even before musk took over. I've considered uploading some of my work to tiktok, but that also seems like kind of a nightmare, lmao.

I'm happy to hear you discovered me from my pf2e game!!! This campaign has become my hyperfixation for the good part of the last year and a half, I haven't found any other show or series that's been able to hook me out of it. It's kinda difficult being hyperfixated on your own characters, since all "fanwork" has to be made by yourself, lol. This party has meant so much to me, and I've really wanted to share that with other people.

I haven't really had the chance to talk about my "Out of Bounds" project too, though I have uploaded those 4 main character sheets. I've been busy writing the book 1 scripts, albeit slowly, since my full time job has been keeping me pretty mentally drained. I really hope that project will be able to find an audience too once I'm able to get it off the ground!

I'm glad my rambling has maybe inspired some people to be more interactive with the artists they enjoy, lol. I hope you have a lovely day as well!

The room was dark and the only light was provided by the flicker of her laptop. A pillow was pressed tightly to Harlows chest and the stain of some white wine would likely soon dissipate, fade into nothingness against the beige fabric. She'd looked at the image in the screen's frame for far too many minutes, too much of her oh so precious time. A tight knot inside her chest slowly was brought forth and she noticed a sudden feeling of dizziness, worsened by the sour aftertaste of cheap alcohol on her tongue. Harlow suddenly became painfully aware of her own heartbeat. The way it pumped inside her chest and for a moment, a single minute, it was almost enough to scare her. And before she knew, her fingers flew over the keyboard, words left her mind before she could even comprehend them.

Dear Wanderer (assuming it's ok, if I call you that), I stumbled upon your work only a couple of days ago and might have spent the past minutes staring at the last piece you've posted. And I have to say - it's riviting stuff. Honestly. I'm glad to say that my life was pretty good so far. I have mostly amazing parents and had a lot of friends I used to hang out with almost daily. Not sure what happened to change that. Or maybe I do and just try not to think about it too much. It feels like I don't have much of anything anymore. I sit on an old couch, am on my first glass of cheap white wine (and by cheap, I mean seriously cheap, like the stuff you get in any supermarket for 3 bucks) and don't have anything better to do, than write a complete stranger, whose art I'm looking at. You know ... I know there are people who have it worse than me, but it's just rough. I work a shitty job that I hate, haven't spoken to any of my friends in over a year and share an apartment with someone I barely interact with. Seriously. I wouldn't even recognize my roommate on the street, if I were to walk past them. And now I'm writing you, a complete stranger, a message, that they might not even read. I mean, you probably get loads of messages, right? Most of them are probably nowhere near as rambly and incomprehensive as whatever I spit out right now. It’s all right! It’s their loss and I have no regrets about that. They’ve had 40 years to think about their choices, but even the chance they did offer to me came with so many strings it broke as soon as I did anything other than be the perfect Catholic they’d been hoping for. I’d rather live my life in a way that lets me like me. 

I think your family gatherings sound lovely. The closest I have to that is the gatherings at the house of a friend fo mine. She’s invited me a few times, and somehow her family keeps growing as her children have started to bring partners to family celebrations so it seems to get noisier every time. It’s a lot of fun to listen to all of them. 

First of all, I want to say I’m sorry. That sounds like an incredibly difficult and stressful situation to be in, hypothetically. 

But if I was int hat situation, I’d just make sure that I could be there for them and they knew I was on their side. I can’t make choices for someone else, even when I know those choices are bad ones or harmful ones. What I can control is how I react. And if it’s possible, I’d try to find a way to give them a better option, so they don’t feel like the bad choice is the only one. That doesn’t always work, of course. But it’s just about being them for them. Letting them know they aren’t alone. 

I hope that helps. Hopefully your coworker is able to avoid getting hurt. I’ll be sending good thoughts your way.

Wow. Heavy stuff. Then again, it always seems like family is when it comes to that sort of thing. Once again, I am glad you have managed to find what you needed, even among a tangled web and judgement.

Thank you. I promise they're very boring, but that's what I like about them. Even when everyone starts sharing the same stories they do every year, it's my favorite part. I never get tired of them. The kids are great at them, too, especially when they start 'yes, and'ing better than any improv star.

And, I'm sorry. Obviously I was not being completely forthright with my last email. I've since calmed down since sending it and reading your reply.  While I don't plan on giving you the whole of the situation to save everyone their identities, but I think you could tell it was not a hypothetical situation.

Thank you for your advice. I really do appreciate it. Unfortunately there is no better option that could convince this co-worker and I can't be the one that they need present. Had I been they may have listened, but I am not anyone's choice, first or last. Not that I blame my co-worker, I overstepped in my attempt to explain. I am not the person for this job and yet I am the only one with the knowledge for it. I don't know who to reach out to for help, either, since I am just a co-worker.

If something happens it will be entirely my fault for the things I both did and did not say. I have always held the truth in the highest regard so not being able to say it will plague me. Which is why I am rambling to you, a stranger I don't know and hope I haven't burdened with all of this, but you are the only one I can consult in. Both because you are anonymous and I fear you are the closest thing I have to a friend these days. Not because you are a bad friend but because I lack anything else.

Aw!! Thanks for asking, Lovely Nonny!! I was literally just thinking about writing a little post about this!! I haven't had the chance to write my little recaps/reviews lately cause real life has been crazy and I've been trying to keep up with my too many fic series!

But I found myself in a conundrum about the info we got in this last episode, because while I'm very happy we got it, I hated that Carla was spewing it out to Jenny without checking with Beau first. Like Jenny JUST fucking told her Beau hasn't shared anything about Texas and his life there and, and yet, she's just like blabbing away. "Oh, he didn't tell you about this, he didn't tell you about that?!" Like, shut up! Let Beau tell her himself!

But I did appreciate hearing about some of what he's coming from, sounds like he lost a partner to a gang of some kind? Wonder if he died or if he went bad or something?

I also hated Carla's little dig when Beau said he couldn't drink cause he was working and she was like, "Never stopped you before." Wanted to bitch slap her for that one. He accepted her apology too easily, imo.

Like, she broke up with Beau Arlen (even a possibly broken and hurting Beau Arlen!) to marry the sketchy af asshole, Avery?! He was SO uncaring when Emily was missing in episode 7. Even Carla wasn't as upset as she should have been about her 15 year old being missing while all this scary/dangerous stuff was happening. My daughter is 15 and if I were in that situation I would be - 1. calling Beau immediately and 2. SCREAMING at anyone who I felt wasn't as concerned as they should be.

Ugh! I still need Beau to punch Avery at least once, really hard! 😠😠😠

Anyway, my ramblings may have made you sorry you asked, but to sum up, glad we got a bit of info - hated how we got it.

LOVING this season with Beau.

P.S. Still don't trust Cormac, and is it too much to hope the shady criminals following Avery will just shoot him, or at least beat him up a bit? 😜

Yes, pretty much none of the PE Herrschers had anything human in them, and the only one who showed a soft side was PE Himeko and even then it was a trap and it damaged everyone involved heavily.

So yeah hard to say how CE Herrschers would behave if they were to be tped to PE. But to be honest, we don't know how they work even in CE. Back in her days Sirin was straight up connected to the Will of Honkai, she talked to it, and it even protected her from Hua (in case you haven't read the manga). Are Herrschers like Mei and Senti also connected to it? Or it deems them all traitors like it said about Welt? Will the Will of Honkai of PE be aware of where CE Herrschers came from? Will it try to subdue them? Or just kill? So many questions, so little answers! Endless possibilities!

Ok but if you ask me, I think Will of Honkai must consider Senti to be its finest creation. Like, it found a perfect body (in all senses), filled it with Honkai and made the two perfectly compatible. Not everything went right, but I don't think the Will would just give up on Senti like that.

Even if she's without Hua's body I think she'd be the perfect canvas for Honkai, and it won't pass a chance to use her, especially in PE. Which would make things so interesting!

Also, you don't need to be in denial if you just resurrect everyone. And also shove a self-insert OC in. Just because I can. Who's gonna stop me? They're all too weak!! Muahahahaha!!!!!!!!

i suppose id ask him 1) what it's like to go on stage and get to pretend to be someone else, is it freeing? he's always struck me as a little aloof in interviews and generally in public so i wanna know if putting his actions and performance behind a character and costume makes him feel like he can do whatever he wants more, or if its a little restricting almost?

2) he's mentioned in interviews he'd draw a lot as a kid and im really curious as to what so id love to ask him about it. i want to see baby forge doodles :)

as for impera...ive been trying not to listen to impera TOO much cause i dont want myself to get sick of it (ive honestly gotten sick of cmls hearing it in all their promotional material all the time) so im a little slowly re listening to it... there's definitely favorites like twenties and darkness at the heart of my love, but i think this is gonna be one of those albums where im like... it's good, it's solid, i can recognize the artistry and mastery put into it and why some people consider it one of their best but im gonna settle for Yeah its okay. i like it, sounds good, pretty cool, but i don't LOVE it like i love, say, meliora or infestissumam. it doesn't quite have that impact... on me..
