It may have dulled to an ache over the centuries, but all it takes is the slightest nudge for the wounds to reopen; the slightest twist in the wrong direction for the stitches holding her psyche together to burst open again. Some days it can be anything as simple as the sound of children playing together, or the sight of a particular shade of green, which sends her reeling.

He has a long road ahead of him. And Sigyn knows - perhaps better than almost anyone - just how treacherous it can be.
