NYC Part 1 (31 May - 5 June ‘14)
First post of this blog is dedicated to the longest flight I have ever been on, to one of the few cities I would cross the globe for.
The flight was real intense, stopped over in Abu Dhabi to grab a bite before heading on towards the Big Apple.
Not long before touch-down, you can almost see the skyline in the distance. (love airports that are situated near the city centre)
We Airbnb-ed an apartment somewhere in Brooklyn, near Prospect Park. That was a great idea, really helped with the jetlag. Ate some pizza nearby too.
Took the Staten Island Ferry out to see Lady Liberty in all her glory. Didn’t actually climb up into the crown, but oh well good views are everywhere.
Temperate flora and fauna is always something worth travelling for.
Coolest. view. ever.
Whole Foods Market is one of the biggest reasons Singapore isn’t a picnic-friendly country yet (unbearable weather notwithstanding).
