An episode where the premise is that the yahoos getting haunted don’t immediately take the Winchesters-as-agents of whatever on their word

Huh, weird, so in supernatural instead of fallen angels becoming demons they become humans. I kinda assumed fallen angels would just be like extra special demons.
So, what about Lucifer, then? I’m pretty sure biblically his whole deal is being a fallen angel. I guess he just became a human, did lots of fucked up shit, and then went to hell? But if he became a demon the same way any other asshole does I fail to see what really makes him special.
Last thought: I’m pretty certain it’s safe to say that humans who go to heaven don’t eventually turn into angels but not only does that ruin the (for lack of a better word) symmetry, it means that there would be wayyy more demons than angels. A demons are a renewable resource and angels are a nonrenewable resource sort of thing

I do think it’s pretty fun that the first thing Anna says after the reveal that she’s an angel is “Don’t be afraid”.

Alright folks, that’s the last of the episodes I watched without liveblogging. Back to your regularly scheduled (or, well, sporadic and inconsistent) programming.

S4e9: I know what you did last summer
This episode has a weird format where it turns into a bottle episode halfway through, and I frankly don’t care too much about Sam’s past angst (my favoritism is showing). The official reveal that dean actually remembers hell (That was fully revealed in this ep, right?) was exciting enough to make up for it, though, and hopefully i won’t have to sit through dean being unreasonably aggressive to ruby anymore. Got introduced to a demon who was apparently dean’s main torturer in hell, some super powerful dude named Alastair. Alastair is, according to my twin, a different character than the fan favorite dude named crowley who I know shows up later. I’d assumed they were one dude who was named after English occultist Aleister Crowley.
#s4e9#supernatural liveblog#these things were supposed to be short blurbs but I have chronic Can’t Shut The Hell Up Disease#I’ve reigned myself in relatively well I think

S4e8: wishful thinking
A potentially fun concept was ruined by the racist portrayal of the Chinese restaurant and its owner and the egregious, never-addressed consent issues of the dude who wishes for the lady to love him. That said, kneel before Todd.
