i never talked about spring break, the season 26 finale of south park like i wanted to, because there's a lot i had to personally unpack.

first of all i never thought they would follow up metatextually on worldwide recorder concert but i'm shocked. spring break brought the thesis of that episode to it's logical conclusion, with garrison's declaration that he has nobody, and rick is the only character on the show he met, who has unconditionally accepted him.

i'm not gonna get into a whole diagesis about worldwide recorder concert but as someone who is also a CSA survivor, it's pretty interesting how garrison hits all of the survivor hallmarks, including falling back into familiar circles with the same sorts of people who didn't care about him.

i think south park deserves a lot of credit for that.
