negative reviews about power rangers hurt my feelings personally and then i look and see it was written by a white dude and i know he’s just mad that it wasn’t a story all about white people, so with that in mind, here’s a list of why white nerdboys hate this movie and why you should go see it!! mild spoilers!!

only one white ranger (jason, red), and while he’s the leader, his screentime was not significantly greater than his teammates, nor was his background the most fleshed out. he also suffers real consequences for his poor choices instead of being let off with a slap on the wrist. 

half indian ranger (kimberly, pink) who makes a very bad choice that is very cruel, who is not coddled. she is told that her choice was bad, point blank, but that she can still be a good person. reformed mean girl!!! and she’s not a white blonde!!!

mexican ranger (trini, yellow) who is LGBT (we don’t know if she’s bi or a lesbian but i’m guessing she’s a lesbian).

chinese ranger (zack, black) who is bilingual, showing the struggles and pressures of a kid who is responsible for caring for a single parent who is sick and struggles financially.

black ranger (billy, blue) who is autistic, and actually says the words “i’m on the spectrum” in the film instead of dancing around it. is the heart and soul of the team, his friends treat him completely normally.

NO ROMANCE!!!! there are slight hints but seeing as the events of the film span roughly two weeks, the film is all about friendship and sacrifice and acceptance, not about teen love.

i’m dead serious go see this goddamn movie i cried like ten times and was absolutely amazed by how they took this cheesy little show from the 90s and gave it so much heart and love.

TSITSI MASIYIWA EVERYONE

This woman is amazing. She literally provided food and water for orphans in Zimbabwe, paid student fees for over 40,000 students, and established a scholarship program that would raise 6.4 million dollars to send students to college. The program that helps thousands of orphans go to school is called the “Capernaum Trust”. Her motivation to help underprivileged orphans stemmed from her being poor in the past.  

“I spent time with these children and I came to love them. I wanted to keep doing more for them, but I realized that it was not just enough to keep giving them fish. I had to teach them how to fish. I wanted them to grow up and fend for themselves and become successful people. I wanted them educated”.  

Don’t let her work get overshadowed just because she’s a “millionaire’s wife”. She deserves as much recognition for her hard earned work.

Not shipping Karamel and hating Mon-El doens’t make me a hater of Chris. ( i like him, he is a good actor, cute even). Why some people ( aka karamels shippers) can’t understand and separate what is real life and fiction?!

Why are people hating Katie ( aka Karamels shippers) just becase of Lena and supercorp?Just because she is a regular now?  AHh come on, give me a fucking break! She is doing here job and that is all. ( Isn’t my fault if she is beautiful, act gay as fuck and have so much chemistry with Melissa).

This line of thinking obviously shows what an entitled male Bob actually is.

Typical egoist male thinking he is entitled to forgiveness and also that the only way to gain forgiveness is how he thinks he should be forgiven.

I don’t know what kind of misgonystic water Bob has been drinking but the road to forgiveness should ALWAYS be on the terms of the victim. His male entitlement shouldn’t be dictating what Bell needs to do to be forgiven or when Octavia forgives him or if Octavia forgives him at all.

Granted it’s an analysis of a fictional character, but views and analysis like this are reflective of the kind of person you are. Not exactly surprised he’s coming off as the typical alpha dog though. Waaaaaaaay too many past incidences and stories of him being a bitch ass piece of shit anyways

People that need to stop: People claiming that Eva’s and Noora’s seasons was just build up to Isak’s season and that Isak has been the real main character all along??? Like the entire point of the show is to change the main character every season and if you really care so little about female characters that you think the complex life problems of two strong women was just a backdrop before showing the “real” (male) story of the show then you need to rematch s1 and s2
