Well you obviously would’ve whooped Ridley’s butt, like you did with the other space baddies. Anyway, are you prepared for Master Hand again?

“ Huh? Well, I’m, uh, gonna give Rilley a lot of fighting in the tournamen, yeah! ”

“ Haha, and yeah! Mr. Hand is a lot of fun! I like fighting him! I hope his brother still gets to play, too! ”

“ All my friends are coming back... and I get to make new friends, too! This is gonna be lotsa fun, ahaha! ”

Wings envelop him, and only pull him into a tight Meta Hug. He reveals a small box of cookies.. in the shape of warp stars and hearts. Where'd he get them from? Who knows. He totally didn't make them or anything. " Happy Birthday, Kirby. "

“ ...? ” Kirby didn’t give any resistance as foreboding wings pulled the star into a pleasant little hug - though it caught him off-guard! Meta Knight was rarely so warm to him, at least this openly!

“ Ahh - Meta! ” Fortunately, the unexpectedness didn’t offset him too long, and a smile beamed from his face as he welcomed the hug and took the time to hug back while he had the chance... until he revealed a little box! With cookies! In the shape of stars and hearts... wow! They looked so cute... and so tasty! “ Haha - thank you, Meta! They look so tasty!! ” He’d be sure to enjoy them! Not that it’d be hard - Kirby loved cookies.

"Ah, Kirby, there you are! Happy birthday! I have something for you." Inside of Olimar's wrapped gift would be a sketchbook and a large box of crayons. He remembered how enthusiastic Kirby had been about drawing a while back--even offering to sketch the captain himself--and he thought this would be a perfect gift for a budding artist!

“ Ah - Olima! Thank you! ” A big grin overcame the star’s face as he greeted his space-traveling friend... though the grin was replaced with look of genuine curiosity as he saw the wrapped gift held out for him.

“ Huh? What is it?? ” Not that Kirby expected an actual answer - after all, the fun in receiving gifts was learning what was inside for oneself! Limbs pulled and tugged at the wrapping until it was all cleared up to reveal the box inside, which he pulled open to reveal...

“ - Oh!!! ” Kirby was thrilled to see just what the box had to offer! A book for drawings, and crayons to go with it! This was just what Kirby needed - his skills were getting so much better lately, and being able to put them into a little book for holding onto the pictures more easily was perfect! And with these new crayons...! “ Thank you, Olima!! I like it lots! I’m gonna draw great pictures with these!! ”

What does Kirby know about birthdays?

ooc;; Well, he knows the basics.

ooc;; He knows that people celebrate it on the day someone’s brought into the world - the way they celebrate the day he first formed and lived on Popstar. He doesn’t really see it as significantly as the people around him do, but he knows that on the day, all his friends party with him, and bring him cake, and presents, and everyone’s so happy, which makes him happy!

And that’s really all that matters to him.

With your Kirby headcanons, I can't help but imagine him meeting Cthulhu and just thinking that Cthulhu would make a lot of takoyaki (on account of Cthulhu without the eldritch horror elements is basically a really big octopus). That is so cute and so ridiculous.

ooc;; Kirby doesn’t make any assumptions about anyone until they’ve properly introduced themselves.

ooc;; But yes, my Kirby could very safely meet Cthulu.... Well, at least as far as comprehending him without going insane. Whether or not Cthulu uses his terrifying eldritch powers on him requires a lot of Lovecraftian knowledge I do not have. But if you’re wondering, yes, I do believe Kirby could at the very least fight back if he had to.

Actually, that pic reminds me - on Discord, Kirby actually has a little Mimikyu friend.

He gave her the nickname Mimi. He didn’t catch her or anything, he’s honestly just her friend. They get along so well.

Kirby’s actually seen under her costume, too. He thinks she looks lovely. They’re so cute,

“Where I come from we don’t have pokemarts located in pokemon centers ‘cause that would be too convenient.”

“ Oh - right, some places have the marts outside the Pokemon Centers, don’t they? ” Kirby gave a little giggle as he made this response, finding it rather unnecessary to separate the two. Not that it would particularly bother him regardless - though given he shopped far less than he used the Pokemon Center, it was probably for the best for his and his Pokemon’s sake - but it was interesting to think about how other regions worked with their buildings.

“ That’s kinda silly, isn’t it? It’s a lot easier when the two are together. ” Still, he was more than willing to sympathize with the other boy. After all, he seemed like he really liked the convenience, himself. “ Is it true you don’t have any cafes, either? That must make it really hard to get more beans for your friends - some of mine really, really like them.  ”
