I got this album in the 6th grade on Valentines Day from a boy. It was a game changer. It made me realize that there was more out there other than the Backstreet Boys and classic rock. I wouldn’t be me without this album. I won’t lie, I cried the whole drive home from work while listening to this. 16 years later and this album still means so much to me. My heart goes out to anyone struggling. We’ve all had our own experiences with depression and suicide. I can’t describe how much this has hurt me as someone who has attempted suicide and has been comforted by their music. I’ve thought only about this in the last day and what it means for his family and friends when I know they would have been there for him. In that moment though it feels like being trapped being buried underground with no way out. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. Getting past that is the most difficult thing a human can do but please know there is a light and there are people waiting for you on the other end. I’m here for anyone who needs an ear and a hug. Rest in Power Chester Bennington. Thank you for everything that you have done.
