Gao was starting to pick up the little things that indicated the older’s current status. The way he wrote without hesitation or stopping and the cheer he seemed to get holding a pen and notebook. That was good and sensing the comfort it gave the other only made him all the more happier.
“Hehe, I’m glad it’s easier! Have you never used a smartphone before? It’s pretty common around here.”
What was the question he asked earlier again? There was the phone issue and the bumping– Oh!
“Were you cursed from speaking or was it caused by other reasons?”
Skippy listened, and decided he would answer the first question. That one was simple to answer, he would just tell the younger that he quite despised Mortal technology. Wait, did he say it was common around here? Mentally the witch shook his head, new generations these days loved their technology. It was sad really, what happened to excitedly waiting for a letter in the toaster? When he was done writing, he tore the page out and handed it to Gao, before writing on a new one.
'No I have never. I don't like Mortal technology. It's confusing and hard for me to use. I like to stick to pens thank you. Kids these days.'
Once he was done with the other paper, he just turned the whole notepad around to show the child what it said.
'No I was not cursed. So the answer would be other reasons. A rather long story. Fascinating question you had indeed.'
Sun? Is that his name?

The witch is just happily strolling along, enjoying himself truly in what was called District Delta. The only reason he was enjoying himself was because his mind was thinking about past things that he had done in his world. Not anything that he could have done here, he hasn't done much. Already over a month? It really didn't feel like too long ago that he had come here. It felt recently, like perhaps only a week of his time. Clearly, he was getting too old and his memory was messing with him.
Walking around the mute ended up running to, something rather hard feeling. He took a step back, rubbed his rather confused before looking up at what he had run into. Oh boy did he have to look up! Whatever this was, was several feet taller than him. The rather old 5' 9" felt really small and useless of a second there. They ignored the thought, though their face probably didn't change as they just stared and instantly thought.
'This Giant Robot is going to kill me what are Mortals even making these days.'

Gao takes the device back after a long moment of silent. Thankfully, the witch wasn’t dealing with an impatient child. Actually, he finds the other more intriguing as he watches him, focus on typing his message.
Just what is the other’s world like? Were there no technology or did he lived in a remote place that didn’t have access to it? And if he was curse, did that mean magic was real for him? That made his eyes sparkle in wonder before movement caught his eyes.
“Oh!” He takes back the device, reading Skippy’s message, before he nods.
“It’s no trouble at all! Come on then. I think the store over here might have some we’re looking for.” He points out to the one he spotted earlier before heading towards it.
The walk was short, entering the bright and welcoming general store. He allows his muted companion to pick his choices in the pen and writing pad before they were paid by him.
“There! Is that more comfortable now?”
He's glad that it's no trouble, that he isn't bothering the Mortal by having him buy something for him. Perhaps Skippy will find a way to pay him back another day. He kindly and silently follows Gao into the store. A smile on his face as he picks out just what he needs, and gives the cashier a grateful wave as they exited the building.
Turning to Gao, he opens up the smaller version of what looks to be like a five-subject notebook. He carefully and lightly rubs his fingers against the beautiful clean white page. He takes the green quill like pen, and begins writing on the page. He enjoys it much more than trying to use the phone from before. It felt more comfortable writing than trying to type.
The pen reminded him of the many feather-quill's that he always wrote with back in The Other Realm.
Surprisingly he's much quicker than he was before. Really using such annoying Mortal Devices like phone's just took up so much time. The writing came easily to him, and if he had his magic it would have been even quicker. Though, somewhere in the process of his writing he forgot Gao's earlier questions.
Still, he turns the notepad around and gives it to the boy to be read over. A smile still on his face, with hopeful eyes that the child would be understanding.
'I really do thank you for getting these for me. It is much easier than the device that I was borrowing before. Thank you for letting me borrow that as well. Now, I hate to say this but. I've seemed to have forgot that question you asked me before we went to get these. Old age does these things, would you mind reminding me?'

Crash and..No burns
@mybrandofansaavisu
The witch was taking great advantage of his being able to levitate for only twenty minutes a day for the time being. However, he wasn't exactly paying attention to the time when he started levitating. So he was just peacefully floating along, a great way for him to calm himself in this rather stressful city. Enjoying the way that the magic felt as it flowed through his body. The feel of getting to have it all, the wonderful reminder that he was indeed not a Mortal.
At times in this place he feels as if he's become nothing but a Mortal, and though he found great fascination in them. He in no way actually wanted to be a Mortal. He twirled around in the air as he moved, closing his eyes and just floating along casually on his back. The tingly feeling of magic in his mind as it was always connected to his thoughts for him....Suddenly left him again.
Eyes shot open, fear as he realized he was actually still in the air. He had been enjoying it so much, he forgot to pay attention on when to land. So instead, he was directly falling out of the sky. Normally, this would be fun for him as he would catch himself with his abilities. Can't exactly do that if it means you've lost your abilities to use until the next day.
Suddenly, as he's grinning along with freaking out. He's on top of someone, and is in a current state of being stunned to even take a look at who he just fell on top of.

The man was happy from his question, he noticed. Mostly from the brighten expression and how quickly he was to type out a response. Well, attempt. He watches patiently as the other seem to be struggling with the electronic.
Maybe I should get something for him to write with instead…
Gao scans the area, looking for a store for such a thing. He spots one and a moment smile appears before he hears the tapping stop. Turning back to the silent person, he reads what Skippy had typed.
“Oh! Did you get curse or something?” His voice dropping down to a hush tone but still loud enough to hear. And what did he mean yes and no?
“Wait, before you answer that, would you rather get something to write with? I’ll pay for it! You seem to have trouble with typing…”
As the witch was about to attempt to start replying once more, he was asked a question. Told not to answer the previous question, but asked about the other getting him something to write with. He thinks about it for a moment, before nodding in agreement. That is just so generous of the younger.
Could he tell that I have issues with these Mortals devices?
Skippy decides that he's going to begin typing once more, even if he still finds it a bit difficult. He's actually slowly getting the hang of this device. It's strange, but that doesn't stop him from trying to get something else typed. Better than just standing around silent. Even though he can't help the silent part.
He's a bit to busy focused on his typing, then focusing on what he hopes to be a new friend. How are Mortals able to use these things so easily? The elder took note that it was mostly children that he was aware of that used this device.
Eventually of course he finishes typing, and goes to hand it back to Gao. 'That is very kind of you, I don't wish to trouble you for such things. However, if you wouldn't mind I would be very grateful for it.'

In the Witches' entire stay in this city so far, he has way too much peace surprisingly enough. He only converses to a few children, and misses being swamped with paperwork. He also has the sinking feeling he's missed a bunch of stuff trying to occupy himself. He had heard something about a Pokemon. Whatever that was.
He's also noticed, literally everyone has a job here but him. He does not approve.

“I’m not– well okay, I definitely am. Just never been called that before, not even sarcastically. It’s kinda weird.”
But at least he’s amused at your expense???
Skippy moved his body as if he was trying to laugh, but of course nothing actually comes out of his mouth. He writes something else down, and shows it to the other.
'You better expect it with me small one. It's something I do rather often, I am more formal you know.'
Am I a babysitter now?

What was this man’s problem?! Noboru waited impatiently as the other took his dandy old time replying, nearly causing the Buddyfighter to snap on him instead of waiting for a response.
Right about the time he was ready to part his lips and let the insults fly, the stranger began writing on a notepad, leaving him derailed and confused.
Noboru stared at the object for a few minutes before swiping it, glaring at the other from the corner of his eye before looking down and reading. What the hell is this nonsense. “Um. I’m just a normal kid, I have no clue where you’d get the idea! What a stupid question. Who are you, anyway?!”
Skippy had tried to hurry, and was a bit startled when the blonde just swiped away his notepad. That was his way of communication! It is very rude of the kid to take it without permission. Was he not given the slightest bit of manners?
Well, the witch could not complain. Children were very must raised differently than when he was a child. He reached of and took the notepad back with a smile, before writing on it again. The showing it to the blonde.
'My dearest apologies, Small Sir. You see I noticed the tiger on your shirt there, then took a notice at the way your hair is styled. It's yellow with stripes. Similar to the yellow tiger that I first noticed on your shirt. I just assumed that you were a shape shifter. My name is Skippy The Overlord's Underling. Though I suppose that title doesn't work here now. Please refrain from calling my questions stupid. It’s wrong of you.'
Tiger Boy...Interesting

This guy couldn’t protect himself? Poor man. He was such a polite, nice fellow. It was wrong of the scientists to drag someone who was defenseless, into all of this.
“Oh, ew… you got shoved into a hut in one of the Districts under the city. They’re not hard to find, just go with the number that Delta means, find that Sector, and the signs will show you the way. They have news reports and findings on what the Districts look like too. You might want to uh, check on where you’ll be staying before you go. They’re never pleasant.”
Well he could protect himself, if he had his magic of course. Yet, those scientists or whatever they called themselves took it all away. Rather rude to do to a Witches Council member.
A hut? The last time the older was in a hut was centuries ago. The witch absorbed this information, before coming up with something else to write down and show to the other when he was done doing so. 'A hut? My my, sounds rather intriguing. You said it was underground? That doesn't sound very sanitary. Do these scientists or whatever it was they called themselves not realize that people could get sick from that? How irresponsible of them. I handle my pets better than they seem to be doing.'
....Is that a lollipop?!

Gao watches curiously; the fact that the older may not know how to work the device did not cross his mind, but watching him fiddle with it for a while brought the concern up.
But he doesn’t interfere when he notice his expression lighten up and began tapping away on the phone. It brought a smile on his face and he waits patiently for the other to finish his text.
“Let’s see…” He murmurs the typed replied outloud to himself, drawing back with hands on his hip as he nears the end.
“I see– Don’t worry about it, Skippy-san! I’m Gao, it’s nice to meet you. Um, have you always been muted? Or is it something the scientist did?”
“Ah, I don’t mean to be rude. Just curious. You don’t have to answer if it bothers you.”
Surprisingly enough the witch had nearly forgotten about the Scientists. Sure, they were still in his memory but he had been so focused on other things that he had completely forgotten about that. Though, what an interesting question the other had.
Definitely not one he's been asked before, always why he does talk. Insults because people don't realize he's mute, but this young boy seemed to realize and asked one he was rather glad to answer. Of course, as he re attempts to type on it.
As he continues typing on it, it takes him a moment like before. He keeps misspelling things and doing so is irking him greatly. How he wishes he had his magic, yet he does not.
Finally he has finished, and shows it to the other with a smirk on his face and a nod as he hopes the other is reading it. He very much enjoyed answer that question.
'Oh well I am glad. You aren't being rude, Gao. The scientist did not cause this, I've been mute for many years. I wasn't originally of course, but I suppose the answer would be yes and no then wouldn't it.'
Sun? Is that his name?

"Did... did you get beat up!?"
There does happen to be a light scratch on his face. Light as in it wasn’t too long on his face, but it did bleed. He looks up at Zelnite a bit startled by the random question from the stranger. Yet, he shakes his head and shrugs it off. He doesn’t mind.
