Update :3
Hi again!! I’ve been working to get everything ready for Concomics Tour this weekend, I’ll be wearing Chocola from Nekopara on Saturday and Catherine (from Catherine) on Sunday!! I very recently got into Catherine and I am just so blown away... how did I not know about this game sooner?! ;_; It’s really fun, although I must admit I enjoyed the first half of the game a LOT more than the second half. Also, I’m kinda more into Catherine x Vincent LOL, the succubus ending was the best for me and I refuse to believe anything else is canon other than that ending. T.T
In general, I’m super spread out between pole dancing classes, work, a data science course I’ve been taking, working on Nergigante and being social. ; Anyway, I’ll likely blog about my experience with the con later once I’ve gotten the rest of my shit together hahaha. Well, this was kind of a random and wild update but that’s what’s been going on on my end!

L-email Ash Blonde Wig Review (Ahri KDA)
Hello hello again! It’s Silja again, this time for a wig review!
So, this has a very funny story. LOL. L-email and I decided to collaborate again and while I was deciding on what wig I wanted to review for them next, KDA Ahri came out. I said, “Great! It’s gorgeous! MMMMM probably gonna do it next year whatev, I’m gonna order a wig for Taiga i haVE TOO MANY PROJECTS THIS YEAR ANYWAY” Then the KDA video came out... and the hype just totally exploded... and here I am, I’ve already begun on KDA Ahri... LOL. And it doesn’t end there... L-email released special wigs for the KDA girls. But you know what? I’ll prove to you guys that you don’t have to limit yourself to a character specific wig, you can use other wigs that not only look nice but also flatter your skin tone. This is something I have such a big pet peeve for when it comes to cosplay.
So first of all, I’ll show you guys a picture of the character. Ahri’s hair is (very obviously) blonde, with little ash tones mixed in between.
Now, I’m pale and most people would think: well, any blonde would fit you, right? Why do you care about this? Wrong! I had a wig very similar to the color in this Ahri skin. It brought out a lot of pink hues in my skin and in general didn’t favor me very much. Instead, I’ve opted for ash blondes. Still blonde, still suits the character, but suits me well. If you want to know more about what blonde suits you, my mom (who is a hairdresser) helped me out, but I honestly recommend just going to a wig shop and trying on different blonde wigs. Online info isn’t always very helpful unfortunately and might be hard for something who isn’t studied in colorimetry to understand. Also, there are a lot of guides that aren’t really informative. If you’re a cosplayer, just experiment. XD
Don’t be afraid to sacrifice slight accuracy in wig color, as long as you get something that flatters you!
Now, having said that, onto the actual review!
So this is the model I will be reviewing:
As you can see, the wig is long, pretty and has ash undertones, which I think favor me the best when it comes to blondes without being too dark. It doesn’t stray too far from KDA Ahri’s hair, which is perfect. Here’s a picture of what it looks like on the model. I really appreciate how you see different lighting styles in both pictures. Despite that the wig is marketed as being “light brown”, it looks a lot more like an ashe blonde.
I won’t lie, I absolutely do not like long wigs (and much less when it’s for an Ahri cosplay... my wigs get messed up big time with my tails in the way) so for the sake of the costume I will be cutting it. However, for the sake of the review I will show you what it looks like long. XD In terms of comparability, it’s actually very similar to the KDA Ahri wig L-email markets (in the sense that they did not go with the light blonde the concept art markets, but rather a more flattering, darker blonde) except that this wig has more orange undertones. So if you know orange undertones don’t favor you, you know you have another option. *wink wink*
Shipping + Packaging When I spoke to L-email, they mentioned that my wig would be sent through UBI. I’ve never heard of it to be honest, so this is new to me. The shipping was quite fast, although it took a while to get to my hands because of my country’s (Mexico) postal service. So in this case, it was not the vendor’s fault that it didn’t get to me but rather my country’s. LMAO. But on their end, it didn’t take more than three weeks.
All of L-email’s wigs come packaged very well: they come in a mailing slip, and inside is a plastic packaging with the company’s logo, and then you have the wig itself. So it’s incredibly well-protected when mailed out! Very much happy with how secure the packaging is.
First Impression So I was completely blown away by how GORGEOUS the color of this wig is!! I’ve owned a lot of blonde wigs throughout my cosplay lifetime, and if there’s something I hate is when they have a yellowish white tinge to them. It’s incredibly unflattering if you don’t posess a very specific skin tone. But since this wig’s undertones are ash colored, it’s more flattering on a wider range of skin tones. Fullness/Thickness The wig is a lot thicker than I expected! It has a couple of loose waves towards the bottom, which really adds to the fullness. It’s quite flattering when worn, and versatile so you can really do a lot of things with it. If anything, I would suggest keeping this wig untangled since letting the tangledness accumulate (given the amount of hair the wig has) it can make your life difficult.
Shedding I’ve yet to experience any shedding with this wig!! How incredible is that LMAO. With a wig this thick you’d expect a lot of shedding and nada.
Shine No shine at all, it might be the ashen color that kills the shine. Like I mentioned before, it’s very natural looking given the color type and the lack of shine. This wig does not look cheap by any means.
Texture/Styability The wig is very, very soft and has enough hair to be styled in different manners (braids, updos, etc.) I sprayed a light coat of hairspray on it before using it and it held up quite well. I’ve yet to experiment on it, if I do I will edit this review and upload the result so you can see. :)
So that’s about it!! In general I am absolutely in love with this wig and its color and will surely use it again!Once again, thank you for reading!! If you want this wig, follow this shortened link to buy it: https://bit.ly/2zH07sj

Mei Aihara Cosplay Review - Trustedealcosplaycostume
Hello everybody! n.n It's time for another review, this time from Trustedealcosplaycostume! If you wanna see the video that comes with it, click here:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTv6Sgv5Q1Y
So this time I’ll be reviewing... *drumroll* a cosplay costume! And who else? None other than Mei Aihara from Citrus! To give those who are unfamiliar with the character a reference of her costume, here it is. :D
For those of you that are unfamiliar with Citrus in general, it’s about. Mei Aihara is the student council president and is a generally cold and standoffish, but you get to see different aspects of her throughout the series. Now that we have a little bit of background on her, it’s time to move on to the actual review! n.n So this is what the costume looks like on their website.
Before I begin, I received the following articles from them and will be reviewing each by separate. Basically, I got everything you see in this image.
1. Vest
2. White shirt
3. Skirt
4. Tie
5. Sweater
6. School President armband
For reference, I’m a US size S so I ordered an Asian M from them. Even with the typical “buy one size up” rule most Internet shoppers use to buy clothes from Asia, they provide a chart for you to line up your measurements and figure out what your size is. They were VERY helpful with this, at first I struggled because I couldn’t find my size but they were kind enough to guide me and to help me choose the correct size.
Shipping + Packaging 5/5
Seeing that I was already saturated with cosplay projects (Silja? Stuck finishing like 10 costumes due in two weeks?? That never happens!) I asked Trustedeal if we could do normal shipping instead. They politely agreed and shipped the parcel on September 29th. Technically it arrived in Mexico October 20th, but I had to go to the post office in person to pick it up because my local posting service was confused about my address. Lol. The costume got to me in about 22 days, which isn’t bad at all given that I get most things in a month and a half from the internet.
Also, when I got everything every single article was wrapped individually in its own little plastic bag which was a neat detail, given that other places I’ve ordered from cram everything into a giant ziploc bag. XD
Vest 4.7/5
So the vest is made out of a thin material similar to polyester, lined with rayon which is a pretty standard lining for vests of any kind (I’ll be honest, I don’t line anything I make LMAO so seeing lined stuff is like O:). This type of material wrinkles easily if left folded for a long period of time, so if you buy this please iron it before wearing for the best look. I was worried about the best being too small, but when I wore it for a second I questioned if it was too big lol.The seams on the vest were clean, no loose threads of any kind. My only problem was how easily it wrinkled, but even then it’s not a real problem if you have an iron. Might be if you’re on the go and don’t have an iron at the con. So BE CAREFUL and carry it on a clotheshanger and cover it in plastic.
In general, iron your cosplays before conventions kids. -w-
White shirt 5/5
So the white shirt had a different clothing tag, which made me assume they get them from a distributor (not that I view it negatively, I was just very curious when I didn’t see the company’s logo on the shirt XD) The material is cotton, which makes it very breathable. I’m a modest bra size, so I had no trouble with the shirt puckering at the buttons (which happens to me and a lot of women with blouses, HMMMM) In general the garment was very flattering on my body which I was really surprised.
Skirt 5/5
I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE SKIRT!! ;u; Easily my favorite part right next to the white blouse. The skirt’s pattern is very screen-accurate, down to the size of the squares and the number of lines on it. The skirt has a clasp mechanism paired with a zipper, which provides sturdier support compared to a single button. And the best part... THE SKIRT HAS A POCKET!! YES! I can finally fulfill a lifelong dream: carry my cellphone in a practical and flattering manner while wearing cosplay!! XD Now if only those kinds of things could translate over into real life womens’ clothes... No really, Trustedeal. I love you for this. I can’t lie that I’m a little worried about the skirt material since it is very thin (very similar to the vest material), so just in case when I wash them I will put them in a little laundry bag.
Tie + SC President Armband 4.7/5
The tie, bless the gods, you don’t have to tie yourself each time. It’s an already done tie with a zipper mechanism that you zip or unzip to make it bigger or smaller for your neck. Thanks for expecting me not to know how to tie a tie, because I don’t LOL. As if everything else in cosplay wasn’t a hassle, I think getting the perfect knot in a tie would be a frustrating little setback.
The student council president armband is made of a thin material, with white kanji printed on it. I doubt a little that this is machine washable, most likely you will need to wash it by hand. Unfortunately, the wearability of this was my least favorite part of the costume, given that the armband extends past the sleeve of my white blouse. I personally think it’s a little unflattering, and it can’t be cut because you’d compromise the kanji design. It doesn’t look super awful, but maybe if the blouse sleeves were a little longer this wouldn’t look so awkward. You can see this better in my video review.
Sweater 4.5/5
The sweater is nice, I won’t lie. But I wasn’t particularly sold on the way it flattered my body. XD Mei’s sweater in the anime ends a little lower, displaying more of the tie and the v-neck of this sweater ends slightly  too high. I think it takes away from the tie, because it covers up a lot of it. If the v-neck was a little lower, I would probably be 100% sold on it. It looks like your standard v-neck sweater you can purchase at a clothing store: thick, with real knitting (a lot of cosplayer manufacturers tend to fake these details so seeing that some parts of the sweater really were knitted was a great plus). In general the sweater has a lot of wearability outside of cosplay.
General 4.8/5
So I am SUPER impressed by the quality of the costume. Neat seams, no loose threads, wise choice of materials and how some pieces of the cosplay you can use for everyday wear or mix and match for different schoolgirl looks. In general I am super content with this costume and will definitely be keeping an eye out for what Trustedeal makes!

Life update!
Hello! I know blogging is super out of style, but I really wanted to return. T_T I used to blog all the time and even kept a blog through middle school all the way to college (I lost the password to that account a while ago, maybe someday I’ll get it back).
I mentioned a while ago that I wanted a little break from cosplay to be able to work on myself and my goals. It’s not a super serious Right now I’m playing Haunting Ground. I’ll be real... I HATE THESE TYPE OF GAMES! I’m not a fan of games like Outlast or Amnesia where your own line of defense is running and hiding, despite the fact that the concept is realistic for a common citizen caught in a situation like that. But the story’s interesting so I’m willing to give it a go. That and the game itself is pretty short. So oh well.
Tomorrow I have a shoot with Morrigan from Darkstalkers, so that’ll be fun! :3 I actually had Halloween shoot plans, but a lot of things went wrong. XD I’m kinda glad they did anyway, because it gives me time to focus on my projects.
Anyway, I still have a couple of shoots to do before I pick up new projects, but since I’m participating in sponsorships I kinda can’t really stop like I planned to. :( Well that’s about it for now, I’ll be posting a review for Mei’s cosplay from Citrus soon so stay tuned for that. n.n

L-email Black Lolita Clip On Ponytail Wig Review
Hello everyone! I would like to share my review I did for a lovely wig sponsored by L-email! n.n I made a little video to accompany it, if you want to see it please click here!
This is the model I will be reviewing!Â
L-email gave me the option to choose, so I decided to give this model a whirl. Why in particular? These kinds of wigs give you more bang for your buck, for those cosplayers on a budget (such as myself).
This is better explained in my Youtube review, but these wigs are a two-in-one. The "base wig" (where you clip the ponytails) is a standard long curly wig. You can use this base wig for other characters of your choice, and when you need the ponytails for another character you can just clip them on and ta-da! You have another wig.
Even though these kinds of wigs are definitely a little higher priced than most, you get a lot of versatility out of them. I would particularly recommend getting these kinds of wigs in blonde, pink and black. (Since these are the most common hair colors for anime characters with long hair and/or ponytails)
Shipping + Packaging 5/5
The package arrived between 2-3 weeks after placing my order, which by Mexican postal standards is pretty excellent. Most of my wigs have taken around a month or two to arrive, so I was very much taken aback (in a good way) when I saw the mailman standing outside of my door!
The wig was packaged in a plastic bag with L-email’s logo and slogan printed on it, and that bag was within a bubble envelope. It was pretty well protected (greatly appreciated!) Within the bag was the wig itself, a wig cap (thank you!) and a little flyer for their Halloween sale! The wigs were wrapped in what I can best explain as wig netting (I'm not sure what the name is), used to protect the wig from tangling within the packaging. Don't throw these away, keep them to store your wigs!!
Thickness + Shedding 4/5 The wig is quite thick! At first I thought the wig was on the thin side when I looked at the curls (the curls are thick, hence making the wig itself look "thin"), but when I had the chance to straighten the base wig I noticed that the thickness was quite good! It's not a super full wig, but it's enough for it to look good. In fact, the thickness of the curls was such that I had to style it a little so it would flatter me more. XD I did not experience shedding at all, something I experience all the time with wigs from Wish and Aliexpress.
Shine 4.5/5 This may have more to do with the color of the wig (given that it's pitch black), but in photography it did give of a little bit of shine. But this kind of issue is resolved easily by putting some baby powder on the wig. This helps kill the shine and makes it look better. Even with the amount of shine, it still managed to look like a nice wig.
Similarity to image on website 4.7/5 On the website the ponytails appear to be shorter on the model. Maybe it has to do with her proportions (given that her neck is quite long compared to mine), but I guess this difference actually works in favor of L-email because it's a LOT thicker and longer than what it looks like on the model. I think it's important for the website to update this to make the wig a little more popular.
Overall 4.8/5 Overall I'm incredibly content with the wig! Would definitely recommend it to a friend and I will most definitely be using L-email's wigs again!
So that’s about it for my review! If you have any other questions please send me a message through my fanpage!! Thank you so much. :3

Welcome!
Hi!! This is Silja and I'll be posting short ramblings here, mostly about cosplay/life/games I play along with cosplay/wig reviews! While I'm aware blogging isn't really "in style" anymore, I personally enjoy it as a way to express myself/vent. The blog will mostly be in English (for those of you who don't know, I grew up in the United States so it's a lot easier for me to blog in this language). Maybe sometime I'll get around to writing a Spanish blog! Thank you for visiting!
