After Tokyo 2020 this map remains the same. All men鈥檚 water polo gold medal winners since 2000 were born inside this circle.

I think it's more obvious looking back at the early 2000s how many people who were labeled fat who just weren't. Not even chubby or carrying a bit of pudge - just like, people who were skinny but weren't rail thin or had big hips or a natural stomach. But if your body didn't fall into the narrow definition of true thinness you were fat by default, which was bad. But now it's being done in the opposite way by people trying to be body positive and fat accepting. It's frustrating seeing people praise fat bodies when the person/character in question is very much not fat. They'll use an example of a strong and muscular guy but because he's not dehydrated or flexing it doesn't register to them as muscle - they think it's fat, and that's their example of "attractive fat." The people who love "dad bods" (and really mean buff muscular dudes rather than truly fat men) are very much one in the same as the "I love thicc girls" crowd, who actually mean "I want a girl with big tits and hips who still has a small waist." Idk, it's difficult to articulate. I think a lot of people want to be fat accepting but really are only attracted to skinny/muscular people and aren't familiar with what fat people actually look like.

bruh i used to hide out in the library in middle school during lunch to read because the lunchroom was overstimulating and i had so many bullies and so many issues with eating in front of people so i would just skip lunch and retreat into book time in the safety of the library, and one day the librarian came over and told me the library had started a new "lounge" for honors students in a little sideroom with comfy chairs where students could snack while they read if they want
and i was today years old when i realized i never saw a single other student in that little room that definitely held storage stuff before then and that the librarian absolutely made that up so i would have a safe space to read and be alone and eat in the library

Pour one out for my town鈥檚 first stone carvers circa 1648, who didn't know what the fuck a griffin was, but did their best when reproducing this dude's coat of arms with only his silverware as a guide.
