Good Afternoon Past Flowers
For this artwork, I have been using watercolor as the medium and used black color sharpes to outline the flowers and stems. I only used five different shades of watercolor-like red, blue, green, yellow, and brown. First, I started painting with the stem and the leaves. Then the flowers, by using a pencil to lightly draw the shapes of the flowers to avoid any accident when painting the edges. After painting the red and yellow flowers, I started using the black sharpes to outline the flowers and stem to draw in more focus. When I finished with the outline, I then started coloring the bottom of the canvas with the color brown and added simple green sprouts along with it. Then lastly, I color the background with the color blue and brush it with a lot of water. The only thing left was to leave my artwork to dry for a few hours and dry up. The reason I chose to paint this simple flower is because it was the one of things I used to pass by regularly when I was walking back from school to home in the afternoon when I was a little kid.

Virtual Sketchbook section 3
When I went to Ringling museum, I wander around to locate a painting that spoke to me, and then I found a big painting called Hermes Rescue Odysseus from Circe. The painting Hermes Rescue Odysseus from Circe was painted by Giovanni Paolo Panini, and he is an Italian artist who move to Rome where he has done many of his finest works. Panini painting Hermes Rescue Odysseus from Circe medium is oil on canvas, the whole painting was 51 x 63 5/8 inches big, and the painting dated back to the year 1718. Panini based the building in the painting by using elements of actual buildings from Rome to better depicts scenes of Homer Odysseus's adventures. Panini's focus on his painting is covering most of the space on the canvas with beautiful detail structure and adding people and animals to add life into the painting. The painting shows proportion because of the overwhelming architect with detailed pillars and statues that draw most of the emphasis away from the people and animals. It also shows good rhythm by leading the sunlight between the shadow gliding through the large structure to a table where Odysseus is with Circe where he been rescued by Hermes. The painting Hermes Rescue Odysseus from Circe illustrates unity by balancing the proportion of the building, emphasis, and rhythm on the light to the main character. The only thing I left out is the animals in the painting are lions, tigers, and small adorable dogs.
Panini during his lifetime, his artwork was in high demand and he was known to be popular as a view painter in modern Rome and most of his work were commissioned by high official like Duke Duc de Choiseul for example. From Ringling museum, an information card below the painting listed how Panini was inspired and influenced by the architects and garden of the period to be used as a setting for the narrative of Odysseus. I think the artist shows his love for architecture and his interest in the mythology of Odysseus's adventure in the painting and his other work. The reason I pick this work was the intense detail of the building standing out of the painting and it was related to one of Odysseus's adventure which I can relate to.

WRITING AND LOOKING – In chapter seven of the second section under watercolor, Winslow Homer is known for effectively using only watercolor to paint his painting. One of Homer's painting call Boys Wading that mostly used watercolor by using the water to quickly sketch the background to make the shape flatter for making some part of the painting look farther away. Then Homer used horizontal stroke blush on the water and shoreline very quickly while he used the stroke of analogous color to capture the surface of the water. He applies highlights of the water on the first layer and when it dries up, and Homer adds gouache on top of it by using white chalk powder.
CONNECTING ART TO YOUR WORLD- If I had to choose which color scheme affected most about my life is the color gray. I know the color gray is not a motivating mood color and is more of a charcoal color which is considered to have less emotion compared to other vibrant colors. I chose the color gray because many days I usually wear gray or similar variation color tone of gray clothing to match my feeling or on a normal day. To me, the color gray is like a neutral color between light and dark where one is very good or bad, but I think of myself as in the center that I can swing either side depending on the situation. I considered myself as a background character like the color gray faded back while other colors emphasis themselves.

Bad Design Layout
Good Design Layout
What make a good design layout is base on how organized and the position of other element work well together. The layout purpose is to give meaning and appeal to the viewer to look at or take interest in it. If it a bad design layout, then it will either don’t make sense or it difficult to interpret the meaning. A good design mission it to look great and send whichever message to the viewer.

Vincent Van Gogh 1889 Starry Night. Oil on canvas; 29” x 36 ¼”
1. Vincent Van Gogh's artwork was more popular after he die and became well kown.
2. Vincent Van Gogh had cut his own ear off.
3. Vincent Van Gogh was a teacher assistant in London for a short time.
4. When he began his career as a mature artist, Vincent Van Gogh had fallen ill for a long period of time but didn't stop working on his painting.
5. Vincent Van Gogh might have been accidentally shot at and die instead of committing suicide.
The first time I saw the oil painting of Starry Night was during middle school in my art class about studying his art style and little about Vincent Van Gogh. At first, I thought it was cool and weird in a way because it look like a moving painting. After seeing it again, I pay more attention to the detail of the town than the night sky in Starry Night as I did the first time. Now that I see it as a whole, I think the painting seems chilly and alert full that something can pop out of it.
2. ART AND WRITING
The media that were used to create this art is base on HD print wall decor landscape canvas, but I am not certain whether it was graphically created or used other media to print copy of the art. The use of this three-piece canvas to serve is to hang on my wall and to be admired for its coolness every time I come to my bedroom. I believe that the canvas looks awesome instead of only describing it to be beautiful in my opinion. The reason I chose to hang this landscape canvas on my bedroom wall for decoration is that it was a charismas present from my family when I mention I wanted something to hang on my wall than having only a cat poster in my room.
3. WRITING A SELF-PORTRAIT
My name is Alejandro Morgado Lores, I am 21 years old right now, and I will be turning 22 on October the 18th. I am an attractive male, and I am into fine ladies. I was born in Cuba before moving to Florida at a young age, and the ethnicity of my background is Spanish culture. The things I do for fun are spending most of my time on my iPhone 12 max by watching anime, reading manga, and playing apps games. I am not a member of any organized group, and I was employed in a store called Burlington in Sarasota. The only things I think made me unique are being cared for by others, have a good sense of humor, and having an imagination.
